I absolutely adore the trope that's like the 'apex predator' is the one you wouldn't typically guess because theyre like. smart or not aggressive or something even though it's a little cheesy

But I ESPECIALLY love it with IK because not only does she have no idea she's the 'apex predator' but she doesn't believe anyone when they try and tell her depsite having several centuries-old mythical/magical beings willing to fight for her viciously and at the drop of a hat

Some demon at RAD is like "dude like. thinking about it you're kind of the most powerful person here on account of your pacts with the seven most powerful demons down here and also your being friends with several other extremely powerful beings" and she's like "whaaaaat haha you're so funny. they are just my silly friends!! they are just funny guys!" like she knows they're extremely powerful but she doesn't see them as under her control at all so she doesn't even register that they would level cities for her so crazy right

anyways to summarize IK is the apex predator of RAD and she's just a little cutie patootie. yes I listened to the mean girls musical before typing all this out

yess i really love this trope too!! ik is So powerful that she can be surrounded by ten of the strongest beings in the three realms and if you asked her who the scariest person she knows is she'd go"'oh definitely the shouty man who runs the corner shop" and not see anything at all unusual about it

i'm imagining a new demon attending the rad and they're like "so who's top of the food chain around here? got to be lord diavolo over there right?"

to which their guide shakes their head solemnly. now a little worried - who could possibly be higher up than the prince of the whole devildom - the new demon goes for a different angle. "oh, so must be that guy lucifer, right?"

"nope."

"one of his brothers?"

"nope."

"so who then???"

"next to barbatos over there."

"..........................the kid with the backpack?"

"that's the one."

"oh."

"yup."
