#ik the outfits are the point (and they are incredible!) but the expressions feel on-point.

Hi there! ❤️ welcome to tumblr! I wanted to request some Dio fanfiction!! I’ve had this cute headcanon of the fem!reader being of color and/or poor and Dio actually being nice to them bc he believes she’s attractive!
Ik not every author writes for PoC but I just wanted to request just cuz 😳❤️
dio brando x (poc) reader
note: hey there honey! ofc. thank you for requesting! you didn't tell me what specific dio you'd like so i did phantom blood as the main one and added stardust crusaders, however it may be a little short, hope you don't mind! also i'm very very sorry if anything about my headcannons sounds like i'm looking down on someone because of their race, please let me know straight away. i don't mean to hurt anyone by writing
warnings: joking? about murder and suggestive comment (sdc dio)
phantom blood dio brando
dio was a little shit that's for sure, mean, rude, agrresive and disrespectful no matter the person
when meeting new people, he had two sides
the fake posh good boy one (when meeting someone important aka of use for him)
or the bitch "idgaf" asshole
however, meeting you showed another side of him
when dio first met you, he thought you were mesmerising, absolutely stunning, possibly the most attractive girl he's ever seen
you were wearing an simple dress, nothing too special really, just an everyday outfit
when you saw him gazing at you, you brushed it off, you were used to it, nothing new
you were ready to hear some unnecessary comment or an insult just because of your skin tone, it's nothing new
however you were suprised when you were met with none, especially since he looks like a rich kid and sometimes it just seems like their hobby to pick on you
dio was still gawking, he had no problem with talking to girls, he was like a walking magnet, however he was scared unsure if he'll even manage to form a sentence around you
looking around you, you noticed him once again staring at you, wanting to get this over with, you came up to him and asked
"hey, what's your problem?" feeling uncomfortable
dio well like he predicted, couldn't say a word, seeing you up close made him even more flustered
"hello?" you said, now unsure what you're even doing
"you're beautiful" he muttered, still staring
"what?" you answered confused
"i said you're beautiful" he repeated
and that's how your relationship oddly started
when he introduced himself as dio brando, you couldn't believe it
all the things you heard about him, made no sense
where's the rich bitchy brat?
dio treated you like an absolute godess, of course as much as his pride could let him, the sarcastic little comments didn't stop however
he always looked at you with adoration and love in his eyes, even when he couldn't really express it
you once told him about your past situations with others, just because of your race, how you were upset a lot of people treated you differently
"darling, when i met you, you were absolutely gorgeus, you stood out so much from the crowd, but not because of your skin tone. but because of your beauty"
whever you are pale, dark, brown, black, literally any other colour, dio loves you and makes sure to show it ;)
in public, he makes sure to never let anyone make you uncomfortable, whever it's with comments or judgy looks, he won't hesitate to fight a random stranger.
overall you're the only person he ever treats with genuine respect
one second he's cussing out jonathan with british slang, the next he's asking you if you'd like him to give you a massage since you work so hard <3
stardust crusaders dio
dio becoming a vampire changed nothing about the way he felt about you, maybe even growing a lot more protective of you
if you're meeting for the first time, he's much more flirty and actually brave enough to start the conversation
probably meeting you somewhere in a club, party or just random event, his eyes fall instantly on you
growing close with him, and even staying (at this point - living) in his mansion, made you feel incredibly loved
this version of dio made definitely showed his love for you in much more ways ;)
still an asshole to the world except you
much more mature and older, dio definitely knew how to compliment you just perfectly
this dio however didn't just beat up randoms who disrespected you but well ... lets just say he payed them a small visit at night, and they were never too be seen again, oh well
dio made sure to always tell you that you look beautiful

Let's talk about Eric Effiong
Let's be honest Eric's storyline and characterization is one of the most appealing out of all the characters in Sex Education periodt. A true gay, fierce, Drag QUEEN and I feel like ranting about this amazing force of nature. (Spoilers. Duh.)
When I saw the trailer for Sex Education it didnt even hit me that Eric was gay until I read the synopsis. Was just like "Oh I wonder which one of these three mains are the gay one people keep talking about" even after I saw him in drag like a dumbass 😣😂. Personally im glad we've reached a point where gay guys aren't overly feminine and even the brightest colours won't differ a character from the rest (unless I'm just a blind bish and he was obviously gay from the trailer) ei 👏🏾 ther 👏🏾 way; his character was refreshing when I started watching the show. I immediately clicked with him and knew what every look he gave or hand gesture he did meant. Felt nice. When Adam pushed him into the locker for the first time and started with the heterohomoerotic bs I knew that Adam had a raging boner for Eric and was another internalized homophobic bully™ and wasn't really excited for what was to come but I knew it was coming and tbh I liked it in the end.
Eric and Otis' friendship is so pure. Like?!? Get me a straight supportive bestie lilke Otis? Ik they fought but even then Otis was respectful and kept his boundaries and let Eric go through the motions before immediately belting into an apology at the first chance he got. Their dancing scene?!? Iconic. The fact that Eric sees Otis' house as safe and another home?!? Iconic. Otis going drag with Eric to watch an LGBT+ movie as a TRADITION (meaning they've done it numerous times)?!?! Iconic. The fact that Otis was straight up ditching Eric and Eric STILL tolerated him and let him do his thing without too much pressure!?! The most iconic of them all. Just pure love and respect all around.
I am so proud of Erics growth over the course of the season starting from a naive and scared gay doormat to facing homophia and getting beat up by those assholes on his birthday no less to losing his best friend and becoming depressed to channeling that anger into defending himself when people tried him to getting his sparkle back and coming back more fierce that ever before.
Speaking of him getting his sparkle back lets talk about that and why that scene is so important. A random guy asked Eric for directions and Eric noticed his nails were polished and the guy was wearing earrings and he was a big ole black dude. He was like Eric. When Eric noticed that the guy was out, loud, glamorous and proud he immediately switched back into the bright colourful and wonderfully gay Eric we all know and love.
THIS IS WHY REPRESENTATION MATTERS!!!!
It shows people that its okay to be who they actually are and inspires those who are lost to find or return to their true selves. Representation isn't just some offhand thing to throw on a character last minute. And even if you can relate to other characters who arent like you, it is always an amazing feeling to have a character that IS like you. It turned Eric from a popularity seeking doormat into a hurricane with 6 inch heels who was ready to straight up beat down a bully he's had for 4 years. It even inspired him to go back to church and rejoin a community that he closed off. That's exactly how it feels to have someone successful in the media and your life to look up to. Eric only interacted with that man for a few minutes but those few minutes changed his life for the better. So that's a lovely reminder for all who love to bash representation.
Back tracking to Eric's dull colourless period after the attack and his fight with Otis. It was saddening to see one of the brightest characters go dull and even the school felt it. He turned from a guy who rarely stood up for himself and what he wanted into the sass master he reserved only for his friends. All of his built up anger was released causing him to explode on Mr Hendricks (who is adorable tbh and just trying to do his best) and Anwar (I was proud of that punch you go glenn co co) and he even sounded off on his dad who he's usually passive aggressive to at worst. Just goes to show that the happiest faces can harbor the biggest pains and can snap. Moral of the story? Protect the happy few.
Eric also has a great family. Like that obviously know Erics gay and wears dresses because its all right there in his room which his parents enter at their leisure and while it seems that they're a bit homophobic its revealed that they (Erics dad at least) just wants Eric to be safe as he's already a target for being black and apart of an immigant family. He accepts Eric for who he is and what he does he just doesnt want anyone else to give him shit for it and if that's not one of the sweetest things in this world idek what is. Eric and his dad was probably one of my favorite dynamics in the show and watching his dad slowly fully accept that his son was strong and able to stand for himself he was able to become stronger too. This dynamic is important because I never see any gay black characters have a close relationship with their fathers and it was very heartwarming to watch.
Now onto Erics love life. He has a crush on the highschools other only gay guy Anwar who's the typical mean sassy gay we've all come to expect in highschool dramas. Otis saying that Eric doesnt have to have a crush on the only other openly gay guy at school was such a mood as its commonly shown that any gays in close proximity should get together. When Eric punched him I internally went "Finally!" Because all those jeers were becoming annoying. I'm glad Anwar got to come out to his mum over it though. And straight up told the audience that Eric didn't like feminine guys (alluding to him and Adams eventual clean up scene as of we didn't see it coming already).
Moving on to Adam tho, like I said we all been knew that this
was indeed coming and even though I hate the bully x bullied trope I still ended up liking it and hoping that Adam would change. The building up to that kiss was long awaited from episode 1 straight through to 8 with all the longing looks that Adam kept side glancing Eric with and the face cupping and the growls and the lingering touches. I just kept going sthdjksksbslaldbd when one of those moments happened followed shortly after with disgust because gays falling for their abuser is washed up but then immediately going back to jajaklamabsldkd because im shipping trash so 🤷🏿. Eric stepping to Adam in at the ball was one of the most iconic scenes of the show (along with the "Its My Vagina" scene) and the exchange between him and Adam gave be actual chills. The tension was THICCCC. Erics OUTFIT to the ball gave me chills 😭😭 dude came to slay and had everyone at that school proper shook and I honestly could NOT be more proud. I was hoping Adam would become a better person over the course of the season but nope so hopefully they cover all the issues that Adam has in season 2 and properly give him a redeption arc cuz he's still a trashy pos he's just a disaster bi on top of it. (Adam immediately going to suck Eric off is confidence I can only dream of achieving 💀💀) The lab scene was also cute but made me mad because how could Adam look scared, confident and still be a douchebag all in the span of a few seconds was beyond me. A+ acting on Connor Swindells part. I can see why Adam would have to stay in the closet and keep their... relationship?? a secret because it seems like Headmaster Groff would be a homophobic piece of shit and would add to the ever growing list of things Adam did wrong. Even so it doesn't excuse the fact that Adam is in fact a bully and Eric deserves much better. Was sad seeing Adam being driven off from Eric in the end tho. Eric thought that Adam didn't want to see him at all and was probably heartbroken and probably thinks Adam left because of him (my poor baby 😭😭). I feel bad for Adam too because he was just starting to express himself and was at the beginning of a redemption arc when he was just wisked away from the boy he's loved for what seems to be a very long time. I just want my boys to be happy and non toxic and I wish their relationship and them all the best in Season 2.
Eric Effiong is my favorite character in the show and I really want to thank Ncuti Gatwa for portraying him so well and for the shows writers who gave him a very fleshed out character with an amazing storyline and conclusion. His growth was incredible and his strength is immeasurable. I'm 100% certain that he will be a character the community remembers for years to come. Patiently now waiting on what's to come in Season 2 💙🙌🏾.

The McCormicks Are Cursed

This was inspired by @dodush amazing comic! The idea belongs to them!
Karen McCormick flew through the air. The car came out of nowhere, it happened so fast, she couldn’t even scream all she could do is reach her hand out, hoping to grab onto something, anything to stop her descent. The sky is so blue, it’s all that she sees when she crashes down, hitting the hard pavement with her face. She gasps for air, it hurts so much, oh god it hurts. Her bird thin chest is caved in, she can feel it. The blood rising in her lungs, choking her, she can’t breathe. All she can do is stare at the blue sky as she drowns in her blood.
She wakes up in her bed, coughing and trembling. She hugs her bear to her chest, her heart still racing from the horrible dream. She can’t stop shaking.
“It’s just a dream,” she mutters, “just a dream.” The words are a prayer, an incantation to banish the darkness. Dreams can’t hurt you not when you are awake.
“Karen? Are you alright?”
Her head shoots up and she looks at her doorway where Kenny is leaning against. His blonde hair is mussed and his face still has the imprint of his pillow but his dark eyes are wide awake as he looks at her. He’s gnawing his bottom lip with his teeth and his shoulders are tense. Karen sighs, he worries too much and she should tell him it’s nothing. But then she remembers the coppery taste of blood and what if felt like to hear her bones shatter in her chest.
“I-I had a bad dream. That’s all and it’s nothing, really. But it kinda freaked me out,” she finally admits, scooting over so he can sit down next to her. She really needed one of Kenny’s famous hugs.
Kenny’s shoulders slouches down and he smiles.
“What was the dream about? I bet I can help, big brothers have special powers against bad dreams. Was it the one where you were getting married to Mr. Garrison?” he jokes as he walks over to her bed, carefully setting his glass of water down on the floor before clambering on.
Karen chuckles softly, and shakes her head. She can already feel the fear and pain begin to creep away and now she felt more like a little kid than ever. How dumb could she get? To get so scared of a dream like that? Kenny’s going to laugh at her.
“No, I wish. I dreamed that I died,” she smiles and shakes her head, “It’s silly right?” she says looking up expecting to see her brother’s warm smile. Instead, Kenny’s eyes are wide and his skin had turned pale. He lifts his trembling hands to bury them into his blond curls as he frantically shakes his head. Karen stares at him with alarm.
“Kenny, are you alright? What’s the matter?” “It’s just a dream.”
“Kenny?”
“Kenny? Please talk to me, you’re scaring me.” she pleads to her older brother as he rocks back and forth on her bed, still clutching at his hair and muttering under his breath. He lifts his teary eyes to look at her and the expression on his face knocks the breath out of Karen. His eyes look so dark and old, and incredibly sad, such sadness it makes her want to cry. She wraps her small arms around him.
“Hey, don’t cry,” she coos against him, “I’m alright, just a dream. Nothing bad is going to happen.”
Kenny takes a shuddering breath and turns to grab Karen into a hug. He holds her tightly, as if he’s scared to let go.
“You’re right Kare-Bear. Just a dream. I’m bein dumb, I just don’t want anything to happen to you. Ever.”
Karen smiles and snuggles closer into him. “You big goof. Of course, I’ll be fine. I have you, don’t I? You’re my guardian angel.”
Kenny is silent but Karen can still feel him trembling. She closes her eyes. It was just a weird dream. That’s all. Her big brother worries too much. She’ll be fine.
On Monday, she falls down a well and breaks her legs.
The well was hidden under centuries of dead leaves and she just happened to walk over it. She stares at the glistening white shards of bones that are jutting out of her right leg and promptly vomits. She screams for help, but her wails are lost to the wind and the happy cacophony of the carnival that rolled into town. She screams and screams until so much blood has pooled out of her leg, thick and red like cough syrup. All she can see is red when she closes her eyes.
On Tuesday, she is electrocuted. She is floating down the Lazy River at the water park. Ike and Tricia had gone to get ice cream but they would be back, then they would hit the wave pool. This was the best field trip ever. Karen smiles as the warm sun beats down her face, her fingers dangling in the cool water. She closes her eyes and tilts her face up, already imagining the gorgeous tan that she’s probably getting. She doesn’t notice the giant T.V that plays advertisements and water safety tips, wobbling. It hangs above the Lazy River but when the wire snaps, it comes crashing down, narrowly missing her. She is launched from her tube and into the water where the only thing she sees is sharp, blinding white light that sears into her as she arches back. Her skin blisters and fries in the water. All she can see is white when she closes her eyes.
On Wednesday, she is dragged by a train. She is playing with Ike and Firkle on the train tracks. Ike is pleading with Firkle to not try and summon any demons and she’s laughing because of course he will. Look at him, he already has his mom’s Yankee Vanilla Candle and a package of Twizzlers as offering. They don’t notice the train until the shrill whistle pierces the air. Ike and Firkle scramble off but she’s caught. Her shoelace is tangled in a loose screw and she’s tugging to get it out but it just won’t. She frantically tries to tug her shoe off but her hands are shaking too bad, and it’s coming closer, and closer and why won’t this fucking shoe just come off. She can hear Ike screaming but just as she’s wriggled her foot free, there is the train. Like a charging metal bull, it hits and her world explodes in metal and pain as she is caught under the wheels. At the end, she is more hamburger meat than a little girl, barely conscious, the last thing she hears is Ike’s screams and Firkle’s rage at the bastards. All she can see is the chipped green paint of the train as she closes her eyes.
On Thursday, she is burned alive. She’s in the car, waiting for her mom to finish buying a pack of smokes from the gas station. It’s fine, boring really as she leans her head against the window, listening to the newest tween bop song. The song had just ended when she feels a crash that jolts the car. The air bags whip out, pressing her further into her seat as the car careens away, crushed now like a bent tuna can. Her head is still ringing when she smells the smoke. Black clouds erupt from the hood of the car, she watches transfixed as flames begins to lick the insides of the car. It’s getting hotter and hotter but she can’t move. Her arms hangs useless at her side, like a broken wing of a bird, she can’t escape. She sees the dark shadows of people thumping on the glass trying to reach her as she screams and melts. All she can see is thick black smoke as she closes her eyes.
On Friday, she is shot in front of the school. Eco-terrorists had taken them hostage, claiming that the Colorado school children has doomed their planet. They strut in front of the gym, holding rifles pointed straight at them. She huddles with her class, her eyes searching for Kenny. He would know what to do, she doesn’t see one of them reaching for her until it’s too late. The ring leader yanks her by her long, brown hair and drags her to the front where he throws her down. He screams more obscenities at the shocked school and places his cold gun against her forehead. She is shaking but just as he is about to pull the trigger, a hail of gun fire shoots through the windows. The Eco-terrorist reels back, his mouth open as blood streams from a neat bullet hole in the middle of his forehead. Karen sobs with relief and stands with shaky legs. She sees Kenny across the crowd of running, screaming kids. She runs to him but just as she is about to grab onto him, a shot rings out. It goes through her neck and she falls into his arms. Kenny sobs as he holds his dying sister. She reaches up to brush away away his tears but her hand falls limply back down. All she can see is the bright orange of her big brother’s jacket as she closes her eyes.
On Saturday, she wakes up in her bed and sees Kenny sitting on the floor. His head is buried into his arms and he’s hunched forward.
“Hey Kenny? I keep having these nightmares, every night. I keep dying but-but- god, Kenny, I don’t remember falling asleep. They’re just dreams right? But why can’t I remember going to sleep? Or coming home? Why? Wh-what’s happening to me?”
Karen lays an arm across her face as more tears begin to flow. It hurt, every single death. It hurt so bad. Dreams aren’t supposed to hurt. Why then? Why do these feel like memories rather than dreams. Kenny slowly stands up and turns to face his sister. His eyes are blood-shot red and he has dark bags underneath. His face is pale and cold as marble.
“Come on, Kare-Bear. I have to show you something.”
Karen sniffles and nods. She scrubs at her face with her chapped hands and slips out of bed. She doesn’t bother changing, it seems like she’s always in the same outfit. The two McCormick children silently walk out of the house. The whole town is still asleep as the sky lightens to a dusty pink.
Kenny reaches the cemetery and boosts his sister over the metal gate. Karen falls down with a thud onto the grass, she warily looks at the audience of graves that stares at the two intruders. Kenny swings over the fence and lands on his feet. Without a glance to his sister, he takes off, weaving around the head stones like he’s done this so many time before. Karen follows, barely keeping up as they reach the edge of the grave yard where it bleeds into the thorny forest.
Kenny stops and kneels down in front of a small, stone grave. It’s barely peeping out of the ground and it’s covered with dirt and moss but as Kenny gently rubs it off, Karen is able to read the words.
“Kenny McCormick? Age 10? What, what is this?” she’s looks up at him with pleading eyes, hoping that at any moment, he would grin and ruffle her hair, saying it was all some, sick joke.
Instead he slides down against the head stone and stares up at Karen with those sad, ancient eyes.
“Those aren’t dreams, Karen. You are actually dying. Every day. And no one will remember, no one but you. It happened to me. Still does, actually, just not as much lately. And I’m so fucking sorry, Karen. I didn’t think this would happen, not to you. But, I-I-I can’t protect you anymore.” he bursts into tears, pulling his hoodie over his head and burying his face into his drawn up knees. Karen stares down at him, feeling her world shatter as her big brother, her guardian angel finally reveals how broken he is. She swallows, and sits down beside him. She looks up at the sky, it’s unfair at how pretty the world is, at how the birds can still sing even as her world crumbles around her. She grabs Kenny’s hand and leans her head against his shoulder.
“Don’t cry, Ken. There’s one upside to this dying business all the time.” she mummers to him. Kenny snorts in disbelief, his voice scratchy and brittle as he asks, “Oh yeah? What’s that?”
Karen looks up at him and smiles, “Well it means that when I’ll get older, I’m going to be just like you. I’m going to be as brave and kind as you are. You’re the strongest person, I know and you don’t have to worry. I’m going to protect you. No matter what.”
Kenny’s eyes fill with tears once more and he lunges forward to wrap her in a big hug.
“God, you’re the best fucking little sister. And I’m so sorry. It’s not fair, it’s not fucking fair. I’m so sorry.” he chants over and over again as he rocks her back and forth.
Karen clings back just as tightly and watches as the sun rises up over the hills. She feels older now. And a touch more sadder. She smiles wistfully.
“We’re McCormicks. Life is never fair”
