unfortunately coming to the conclusion that eren would be a very bad texter.

it's not that he wants to be - he just ends up forgetting to text back, very often.

he's notorious for typing his messages out, but ultimately forgetting to hit send. when he finally sees you, asking you why you didn't respond to his text, you tell him you didn't get a text; what was he talking about? to which he pulls out his phone.

"look," he says, turning his screen to face you.

it's his message of 'lets get food' scrawled out in the text field, not sent, again. he tilts his phone back at himself.

"oh."

on top of that, since he never sends the texts, it always shows him typing. when you first got together, you would sit around, anxiously awaiting what you thought would be a paragraph of a text, only to get nothing for hours on end. the little chat bubble is constantly popped up on the text screen between you and him.

also- you could text him a giant paragraph, telling him all about your day or the way he makes you feel, and he'll just like it. or send a thumbs up.

you'll send him a text along the lines of:

"hi my love, i hope you're doing well :) there was a really nice view when i went on a hike today, it made me think of you. i'd be willing to go again, if you want to come with me. i just wish i could be with you right now <3"

and hours later, he'll just say:

"cool"

but undoubtedly, eren is still very sweet.

when you're in the comfort of his arms, he'll plant soft kisses on your forehead. doting turquoise eyes gaze at you as a shy smile spreads across his face. tightening his grip around you, he gives you a tender kiss on your cheek, his warm embrace making you blush.

"you know i love you, don't you?" he breathes.

the way his words are so gentle and kind to you in person, makes you forgive him, just a little bit, for the way he texts.
