a bit about box from a guy who was unironically a box fan

fundamentally, i know i was just set into the very well-made and intentional trap made by animation epic that led to a plot twist. ....but part of me can't shake the extremely sinister feeling that i've done something bad for being a box fanboy for all these years? like 1) i did a lot of my fan behavior under the (intentionally set) assumption she was male and 2) the whole dead body thing. Like, i guess the joke was that AE expected nobody to be a real box fan and the plot twist would just be cool, but it's brought up like a miniature moral panic within me where like. i've kinned, make drawings and mlm hcs and been fond of a literal dead body of this random woman? and what's even worse is that… i kind of miss old box? that i want the gag character i overdeveloped in my mind back. and that's insulting to her fucking existance!

...not to mention that whole arc in iii where nickel used box as a coping mechanism and projection tool. i relate to nickel alot and actually really liked that arc and now its just disturbing to think about
