Your Laughter Is Sunshine

Little too long to be considered a ficlet so it's just a mini fic

Tommy has always been very observant, and one thing he picked up on quickly was that Buck always covered his mouth if he was really laughing. A giggle, chuckle, or amused huff was fine, but an actual laugh was covered up.

"Baby, why do you always do that?" Tommy asks softly, gently tugging his wrist away from his mouth.

"Do what?" Buck replied, playing dumb. Tommy had made a sarcastic joke in response to the show they were watching, and Buck immediately covered his mouth.

"You always cover your mouth when you're laughing, Evan. Why?" Tommy had only ever heard his unrestricted laugh a handful of times, but it was his favorite thing in the world. Buck huffed softly, slightly turning away from him.

"My laugh is horrendous, I sound like a dying donkey." Tommy's jaw dropped momentarily before he shuffled closer to wrap his boyfriend in a tight backwards hug.

"No, it is not! Your laugh is one of my favorite sounds! You sound happy and carefree and I love that." Tommy could feel Buck's blush from where their heads were pressed together. Buck's hands rested on top of Tommy's, playing with his fingers, listening intently.

"As sweet as that is Honey, it's not true. I hate my laugh, it's so ugly- HEHEY!" Tommy cut off his self-deprecating rant with a few pokes to his sides.

"Stop talking about yourself like that! My boyfriend has the most beautiful laugh in the world and should stop hiding it! See? It even brings the sun out!" Tommy joked, the clouds having moved right as Buck had laughed out loud. He quickly, instinctively, covered his mouth again as Tommy pulled him back into his chest.

"Stop it, I wanna hear you say it~! Say your laugh is beautiful~!" Buck could hear the slight tease in his voice but he was too focused on Tommy's long, strong fingers pressing into his ribs like piano keys. His hands came down to tug at the offending fingers, hearing Tommy's hum of approval in his ear.

"STOHOHOOHOP IHIHIHIHIT!" Buck whined, throwing his head back onto Tommy's shoulder dramatically, thudding his feet on the couch's armrest.

"Say it~" He purred in his boyfriend’s ear, softly chuckling along with him. Buck shook his head dramatically, making a big show of squirming in his hold.

"NOHOHOHOHOHO PLEHEHEHEASE!" Tommy rolled his eyes fondly, walking his fingers down as he pressed barely there kisses behind his ear.

"Say it, or I'm going you know where~" Buck's eyes widened suddenly, he did, in fact, know exactly where. That junction of thigh and hip. This time Buck actually grabbed to stop him.

"OHOHOHOHOKAY OHOHOHOHOKAY!.....My lahaugh ihis...beheautihiful." Tommy gently held his hands and kissed all over his laugh flushed face, pulling a few more giggles out of the blonde.

"Thank you Baby, and don't you ever forget it! Or cover your mouth, I won't hesitate to remind you." Buck's eyes shined with adoration as he melted back into him. Tommy was slowly undoing every insecurity his exes and parents had put on him.
