I feel like talking a lot I was thinking about how I characterize b/ihanzo and bihan/hanzo separately...... tho I dont see many ppl really stan-stan hanzo so idk how the fandom esp w mk11 see him bc mk11 did a total 180 w his personality. I like my hanzo hotheaded, impulsive, and with serious tunnel vision, but knows when to be rational except when he gets riled up which is easy to do lol. but he can be really mellow and chill with bihan after learning about quan chi framing bihan. I really really like hanzo being kind of delicate and considerate around bihan when he learns about how bihan was raised in the lin kuei..... this is also where I think hanzo is just straight up depressed and also dealing w ptsd and nightmares, so hes really haunted and dull and less angry and fierce

bihan has like internalized all that shit since he was a tween LOL so he ends up comforting hanzo thru some episodes... but he has empathy issues so hes not really good at it. I think his attraction to hanzo is like...... weird....... he respects hanzo more than most people, its not really Love but its an attraction he doesnt have for anyone else. hanzo yes I can see growing to love bihan but I think it takes a lot of time for bihan to feel that way also, not saying hes incapable of it but ya. personally I like mk9 bihan the best bc he is just an asshole and owns it, I like bits of mythologies bihan but I think its more interesting for bihan to think ive been raised to be a killer and its not fair but makes his peace w it, its more interesting to me

Talking about b/ihanzo bc I’m in the mood after the movie trailer... saw ppl saying the ship is bad bc hanzo kills bihan... as if bihan doesn’t have the biggest crush on hanzo bc of that

Long b/ihanzo hc if the writers won’t give bihan lore then I will...

I was thinking about the gap between bihan dying and being resurrected as a wraith but we never got a noob and scorpion interaction even tho they work at the same office... anyway I was thinking about bihan dying right in front of quan chi and he’s secretly pleased about it, scorpion goes back to earth to be cutesy and shy about killing subzero then returns back to the netherrealm... I think quan chi would want scorpion to be there while he does his necromancy shit just for the flex, and scorpion is like ok if I get to see him repent and get super tortured but even scorpion is like yikes watching it. Bihan gets it 100x worse than hanzo ever did bc he is a huge asshole, and all the colour and life starts draining from him slowly..... so he’s left there writhing on the floor, and quan chi is a snob and asking if scorpion is pleased with bihan’s suffering n hanzo is like :|... I think that’s the first of hanzo being a little softer on bihan and the start of them “working together” even tho he still despises him - soon, he starts doubting if bihan/the lk were responsible for his clan’s massacre bc he starts thinking bihan had no reason to lie

Tbh I know it’s funny and weird to say bihan likes hanzo bc he killed him but I honestly think this LOL he really wants a partner that can kick his ass. He knows hanzo is being manipulated but never tries to defend himself again honestly I don’t think he cares much he’s too chaotic... he does know that quan chi set him up but he never says anything about it... this is where I would kind of like some insight from the writers but I also don’t trust them so w/e. My thought is he likes being a wraith and thinks he’s stronger so he doesn’t care, but he also cares about bringing hanzo to justice so idk what the truth is, and I think it’s in character to want some kind of retribution even tho I think mk11 has bad writing. I also just think bihan is paradoxical and says things that contradict himself just to piss people off in the moment. In the end what I’d like is him always hating quan chi for what he did to him and getting his revenge with hanzo in tow, but I also don’t mind if he has no hatred towards quan chi but still wants to kill him so he can rule the netherrealm himself and qc is just in the way

Through this I can see b/ihanzo working together even tho the writers made like no effort to get there, and can see bihan getting a little attached to hanzo when they really go thru w their plan to kill qc and sees how emotional hanzo gets....... I do like socially awkward and aloof bihan from mythologies I won’t lie and I want that even when he’s the incarnation of pure evil. But I would like for him, after qc’s death, to return to his human form again but still keeping some of his shadow power like how hanzo keeps his hellfire... just for the aesthetic I won’t lie but a reminder of the evil in his heart, which I don’t think he changes much but I think he’s a lot more..... mellow now.... I think his end goal of ruling the netherrealm is still my fave ending for him but I like to imagine him hanging out a little w hanzo when they’re both human again. Idk. A little self-indulgent...

I can see bihan falling a little more for hanzo seeing him candidly try to fix some shirai ryu infrastructure, praying for his family, trying to harvest some food for them to eat now that they have to (bihan doesn’t need to eat much tho)...... so yes they are kindamarried at this point bc hanzo welcomes him to stay and they don’t really Talk and bihan isn’t actively trying to tease hanzo, I guess they’re both just trying to process what happened to them and move on. From here I can see them going their separate ways T____T or if it’s really wedged into the current timeline, bihan would have to see the decline of the lin kuei n I wonder what kind of conversation he’d have about that w hanzo and where they fit in this kinda war.... thing going on. You know I think hanzo would insist bihan become the grandmaster of the lin kuei but bihan is like

It’s hammy but I like bihan not caring about being grandmaster and shit like that anymore even tho I think he wants power... I like him just kind of vibing and being chaotic but will come to hanzo’s aid bc he’s sooooo sweet on hanzo so I guess he’s on team earthrealm but has his own motivations for wanting outworld/the netherrealm being defeated. I think it’s possible

THAT is it tho I’ve opened up another possibility I didn’t think about so now I’m going to think More about them.... :)

The more I think about ermac x reptile the more I like it... there’s a lot of coinciding themes w them about autonomy/achieving their own independence and it’s really great you get a 2 for 1 with under-utilized and under-developed characters and building a relationship w them together, romantic or not, it just sucks it’s probably overlooked bc lizard and ermac is a mummy in mkx but I am working on making them anime twinks so maybe they will catch some attention (they won’t)

I still like b/ihanzo but I need breaks from them every once in a while they’re too messy and tragic and I really can’t imagine them being lovey dovey even if I wanted to....... so I fall back on the wizard and the lizard

Mk and b/ihanzo is still something I’m into rn though I haven’t drawn them in a while my bad... I’m a bit busy with something irl and don’t have time to draw in general but bihan and hanzo are still my faves and the movie scene w them together makes me want to draw them so I will try to have something in a bit!!!
