The TV show does seem to be trying to show Isadora as attracted to Klaus and Duncan as attracted to Violet, but this post was about the books, in which I don’t recall Isadora showing any romantic interest in Klaus at all. (Notably, the second season of the tv show featuring the Quagmires did not air until after I made this post.) Additionally, Sunny’s ‘nonsense’ words that Violet or the narrator translates often contain puns or double meanings. When Sunny tells Isadora she’s sure her poetry is lovely, the word she uses is Sappho, who is one of the world’s biggest symbols of romantic and sexual attraction between women. 

So I think I’m on pretty strong ground here, although I am also happy to "ignore canon attraction" to hc characters as lgbt+ whenever I want, of course.
