Welcome to the world of Ignavus!
Here on a magical planet with two mega continents, humans don't exist. Instead, it's dominated by moggy and mongrel alike, who have built their own societies from the ground up. Though they don't always get along, lately there's been a period of peace as the tensions and troubles build beneath the surface. Ignavus Tags

Ignavus Maps - World Maps
The world of Ignavus consists of four continents, with a small spattering of islands sprinkled across the seas. The biggest two continents are the West and East respectively, with the West being the biggest landmass of them all. The smaller two are the South and Northern continents respective and are referred to in this manner by most of the world's inhabitants.
This is the biome map and the clearest sign that I didn't try too hard with building a functional world. Ignavus is supposed to be fun, and I already have to struggle bus through two other pet projects that require me to know their star-brightness.
Teal - Taiga like areas. Very cold, snowy winters with generally cool summer. The brush is mostly short and hardy with very few trees.
Green - This is forest-like areas, more specifically temperate forests, albeit I chose not to specify a density.
Purple - Rainforest-like climates with huge, dense tree-covers and is reasonably humid. Massive diversity of creatures and among the most dangerous zones in Ignavus.
Yellow - these are warm savannas, though each continent typically differs in this. The Western continent tends to host temperate grasslands of bright green grasses and flowers with very few trees, while the Eastern grasslands are often golden or brown in color, resilient trees scattered throughout its large space.
Dark Orange - A warm or rocky beach, again without accounting for height. I imagine the ones to the south as sandy beaches, while the ones towards the north are end in large rocks and gravel.
Pale Yellow - A transitional zone - originally I intended for them to be cold deserts, but I think they fit better as more of the transition between the frigid norths and the warmer south.
Pink - These are meadows of a widely defined sort. I probably should've made it more detailed, but these maps took a while - this color encompasses both flush, natural meadows and more sparse, woody areas.
Orange Peach - A desert - warm or cold. These are easily the most dangerous crossing points, often barren of food and water.
Now we move onto the political maps - this first one is a regional map! These zones aren't completely accurate or always intuitive, these zones were created by all that live in Ignavus in much the same way as the US has several not-exactly intuitive regions (The Midwest, The South, The Great Lakes etc).
The West Continent
Greenwood - the largest expansion of territory, encompassing the largest forest in the world. Social groups in this section are often tagged with the title "Greenwood _" to denote their location. One of the more popular and lush places to live with plenty of prey, fairly moderate seasons and less dangerous predators. Part of the Greenwood’s popularity is the Nursery - a stretch of territory popular for pregnant or nursing nomads to raise their young.
Vastweald - The massive accessible rainforest on the western continent but also the beach and shore beside it. Large predators are known to wander out onto the beach and become a threat to those that venture there. The beach itself is a common stay-over space for those sailing through the Sea of Storms, safe from the various water storms that would destroy their homes and drown the travelers.
The Western Pass - A collection of territory encompassing both The Pass and The Western Reach. Jointly known as The Wanderer's Pass, this is the most popular crossing point from the West to the East in Ignavus. There is a massive market allowing for nomads, couriers and mercenaries to pick of supplies to continue their travels.
The Northwest - Encompassing the entirety of the north on the Western continent, the most dangerous western trade-route in the snow-season, when the area can get so cold that creatures are encouraged to find coverings and wrapping to protect themselves
The West Coast - The farthest west of the continent and where the Republics are primarily condensed. Occasionally referred to as the Mongrel Lands, it’s a primarily warm place of sandy beaches, fresh grass and open savannah allowing for the larger prey animals to flourish. It also holds one of the oldest Cabals.
The South Continent
The Tideport - The West-most point of the Southern continent and is the place where Tidechasers tend to dock. The Tideport is where most of their watercrafts return from the seas - both fisher crafts and travel crafts - to off-board any tools and materials to be further distributed across the continents. The Tideport being safely off-continent of other places has ensured that the Tidechasers became and remain the number-one seafarers though there is rumor of competition brewing at other places.
The Wildlands - Encasing the largest rainforest in the world, The Wildlands are a place where predators and the wilds rule the area. There are no large settlements past the Tideport, the large and dangerous hunters alongside the terrifying flora ensures that most of the creatures from the major continents forced to adapt or die. No large groups will ever move in permanently, with most of the world considering it to be another place of true godly power and that any attempts that could be made to conquer it would be blasphemous and invite smiting.
The Boundless - Deep within the Wildlands, there is an area marked off by the covert mercenary group known as The Boundless. These hardened warriors are dropped off in the Wildlands and are expected to survive with little to no instruction on their own for an entire moonspan. They are permitted to work alongside other trainees, but the territory is vast and there is no set start and stop times - it is entirely possible for a trainee to spend their entire training period without contact from another sapient creature. With the secrets of their training known, the deepest part of the Southern Continent is often referred to as their spawning place.
The East Continent
The Lake Treaty - Called this in reference to the deal by Faarri III, all of this land is under the control of the Regency of the Rising Moon, which reassures nomads more than you’d think. Part of the safest and most well nourished land in the east.
The Eastern Pass - The crossing point that links the eastern continent to the western one. Some creatures claim there was once a landbridge that allowed everyone to travel back and forth across the bridge as they so chose before it fell. Another place where travelers are encouraged to pick up all that they need before they ventured out on any travels.
The Mainlands - Sometimes referred to as the far east, this is the main area that nomads have settled. Not exactly firm territories with assigned leaders, but rather, lands that are consistently populated and are generally looked out for. Those that call the Mainlands their home will refer to the places as The Winter Territories, where most nomads not in shape to travel will gather together for the winter as a means of protecting themselves.
The Skull Stretch - A very dangerous area of desert littered with the skeletons of inexperienced or unlucky travelers and most of the area around it, given the inherent danger to these lands as well. Those who manage to survive the inhospitable environment will often expire to the social dangers around it - mercenaries specializing in personal guard can find a substantial amount of work here.
The North Continent
The World's End - Referring to the highest section of the world that you can get to in Ignavus - a cold-ish Taiga place that hosts the Untethered and The Great Archive, a library that claims to hold all of the world’s current knowledge and they may be right. The Great Archive is the main allure for those who travel to The World’s End - the idea of being allowed to share all that they’ve learned to be passed down is a powerful calling. Personal codexes are a popular export.
The Right Hand - Unofficially part of the Oasis, The Right Hand refers to the stretch of territory dividing the World’s End from the actual oasis land, reaching out to the east. One group - the Seiskin make this place home - their power remains unchallenged due to the collapsing cliffs and crumpling ledges making it difficult to inhabit for other groups.
The Oasis - The Oasis is where most members of the north stay, held firmly in the paws of the Regency of the Racing Clouds. They act as the crossing point for all reachable inhabited areas in The North and often take in those who stagger in from Storm’s Reach.
Storm Reach - Easily the most dangerous place to live in the world due to environmental factors. Not only is this plot of land prone to thunderstorms, but its higher clay density ensured that it remains highly waterlogged. And that not even mentioning the warm-season storms. Intense winds and massive waves crashing against the land, flooding the area and destroying exposed dens. Despite all of this, Storm Valley is a popular place for thrill-seekers and some omenseers who wish to view the might of the world.
