Kalki Review

Watched Kalki on Netflix and I have a few words to say. Please don't get mad.

It's bad. Like, really bad. The world building was just senseless. I understand they wanted to show "Ghor Kalyug" but leaning into a Dune-esque landscape and clothing with a weird cultish group that resides in an inverted pyramid didn't make sense. Who is Yaskin? How did he become a god-king while other countries perished? Why Kashi is the capital? Why Shambala remains a hidden refuge? What are unit systems and how does the economy function? How do you get inside the pyramid and what incentive does it have to offer for Bhairava to desperately get in there?

Rather than wasting so much time on Prabhas's comic hero entry and his nondescript romance with Disha Patani, they could have actually focused on the gritty lore and world-building to make us understand why the world needs a saviour .

IGI world building is no easy task. But it is important to keep your concepts simple yet lucid for people to understand the context in which the characters are living. Somewhere the world created seemed like an illogical mish-mash of hunger games, dune, squid games, handmaids tale and some B-grade apocalyptic video games. Not to mention, the whole unnecessary comic sequence took away from the grim and apocalyptic atmosphere, and only Amitabh Bachchan and Padukone's sombre performance contributed to the tense atmosphere that the film should have maintained.

Sci-fi stories based on mythological lore will always be appreciated. But if you are gonna do it, at least do your homework well, and execute it properly.

A Tales Of Evening ex-dobosa, Pálosi Róbert által alapított zenekar Láncra verve című albumára nyolc tétel került, mindegyik dal nagy kedvence lehet a szimfonikus elemekkel gazdagon ellátott dallamos heavy / power stílust kedvelők számára. A csapat idén március közepétől a Kárpátia vendégeként járja az országot egészen az év végéig, de múlt vasárnap a Barba Negrában is koncerteztek a Powerwolf bulija köré szerveződött mini metalfesztiválon.

Robi gondolatai a zenekar megszületéséről, a tagságról, és a közeljövő terveiről: “menned kellett, nem volt maradás” 2021 augusztus 17. Ádám Atival (a Tales Of Evening vezetője, billentyűse) megbeszéltük, hogy távozom, annak ellenére, hogy ez a zenekar egy igazi család. És ez nem egy közhely, tényleg a második családom volt a csapat. Egy napot sem tétlenkedtem, másnap egyből hívtam telefonon Laki Tomit, hogy alapitok egy zenekart, és ő lesz a gitárosunk. Mivel én írom a dalszövegeket, igy nem egyszerű feladat tolmácsolni a gondolataimat a közönség felé, de úgy érzem, Vidus ezt tökéletesen át tudja adni, kellő áhítattal, alázattal. Szerintem a hangja tökéletesen illik ebbe a zenei milliőbe. Azt gondolom, megmutattuk, hogy kellő elszántsággal el lehet érni azt, amit nagyon szeretnénk. Persze ehhez kell némi tapasztalat, és jószerencse, illetve egy kis hátszél… Az idei évet a Kárpátia zenekar vendégeként ki is maxoltuk, hálásak vagyunk érte! Rengeteg feladat vár ránk, videoklipek, koncertek, élmények tömkelege… Találkozzunk a koncerteken!

Ovviamente generalizzavo, mi riferisco agli escrementi concernente la mia esperienza negativa. Di solito non ho pregiudizi e vado oltre le apparenze, motivo per cui mi sono ritrovata in una determinata situazione (*colpa sempre del soggetto tossico) lungi da me giudicare chi non conosco, non penso siano tutti nemici. Il nemico è l'unico che odio e schifo, purtroppo poi il nemico tende a contaminare le cose belle. La mia fortuna è l'amore che nutro nei miei confronti, che non si lascia abbindolare da narcisisti ed egocentrici frustrati che non credono in sé stessi e che fanno ricadere le loro insoddisfazioni personali sugli altri e sul prossimo. Io ritengo che siano tutti uguali, sono le emozioni a distinguerci.

Per me l'unica regola è: non possiamo andare d'accordo se siete dalla parte del nemico, ma se il nemico è affetto da bugie patologiche e psicopatia e manipola la realtà, facendo credere falsità, fondando il suo impero di ipocrisie; la vita lo ripagherà con la solitudine. Purtroppo so di avere il controllo solo sulle mie azioni e neanche vorrei controllare quelle altrui, perché tutti dovrebbero essere liberi di vivere come vogliono, fin quando la libertà genera male alla popolazione e allora in quel caso; per non alimentare ulteriore male al mondo, spero che si suicidi.

Non so neanche se il termine bullo è corretto, è solo merda e da tale va trattata, quindi secondo me non è neanche degna della mia parola e né della parola di nessun altro. Morirà sola. Per quanto si possa esprimere e ribadire il proprio parere e ciò che si pensa, i soggetti tossici sono ottusi, quindi è inutile, ma non bisogna mai smettere di provare/riprovare e dire: guarda che sei una testa di cazzo, la vuoi smettere con questo infantilismo? Con le buone e con le cattive, fin quando si arriva al punto in cui si ignora e si autoescluderà dalla nostra vita, purtroppo per quanto si possa escludere, evitare e disconoscere, esiste poi lo stalking.

Di solito non penso mai di avere ragione, anche se ho ragione, metto sempre tutto in discussione; so di non sapere e sto ancora imparando, così sarà sempre, non mi piacciono coloro che ostentano.

Probabile che tu riesca ad avere empatia nei confronti di uno pseudo bullo perché sei fuori dalla vicenda, ma per me è allo stesso livello di un fascista e un molestatore, chi va contro la mia libertà e non lascia le persone libere rispettandole per me non merita nulla; neanche di stare al mondo, figuriamoci un ti voglio bene. L'amicizia è l'amore sono valori molto importanti e non si gettano così.

Purtroppo @kon-igi ha risposto perfettamente in un recente Post sul fatto che i colpevoli non sono i veri colpevoli e punirli non serve se non al nostro ego. -Kon konreggimi se ho semplificato eccessivamente-.

Detto ciò, nessuno deve permettersi di provare a calpestarci e, come sono solito dire prima di fare fuoco con lo shotgun: "Non scambiare la mia gentilezza per debolezza". Se il malcapitato di turno sbaglia risposta a questo punto volano bordate di -metaforici e non- pallettoni cal.12.

Perché, se c'è una cosa che vale più del rispetto e della sospensione del giudizio per le azioni altrui, è il diritto all'autoaffermazione, alla nostra libertà di scegliere senza costrizioni ciò che riteniamo giusto per noi.

Se avete problemi a capire se la vostra libertà mette a rischio quella altrui c’è un modo molto semplice: guardate il grado di “violenza” che state usando sugli altri per fare spazio alla vostra libertà.

L’alternativa è quello che abbiamo oggi: una crociata infinita dietro ideali vuoti e troppo generici che poi non soddisfano nessuno perché nessuna ideologia in un gioco infinito quale è la vita può avere sempre e solo ragione. 

Faccio un esempio di attualità cocente: i raduni di Predappio hanno per me lo stesso senso delle processioni religiose: una cieca fede (acritica e illogica) che non tiene conto della realtà biologica della vita e della sua diversità. Ma finché le loro azioni non metteranno a rischio la libertà degli altri mi asterrò dal giudicarli anche se li terrò sempre d’occhio.

Anzi, non odiandoli perché sono affetti da bugie patologiche e psicopatia e manipolano la realtà, ho la possibilità di parlare con loro, di impedire loro ogni volta possibile di agire con dolo. Il danno che possono arrecarmi, una volta che sono consapevole dei loro processi “logici” fallaci, è minimo perché per me loro non hanno nessuna parte nella mia vita emotiva, sono solo i pazienti più gravi dell’enorme ospedale psichiatrico che chiamiamo terra. E se non riesco a sopportare la loro presenza posso sempre allontanarmi e farli scomparire dalla mia vita. Se mi inseguono e non mi mollano vale poi il discorso dei pallettoni cal.12. 

Possono renderci vittime solo se diamo loro importanza che non hanno e consideriamo le loro parole come quelle di una persona con capacità cognitive adeguate ma, come hai detto tu, non è così. Se avete dubbi a capire cosa siano capacità cognitive adeguate sono quelle che si basano sui fatti e, come nel tuo caso, sono pronte a modificarsi quando i fatti della controparte sono più convincenti. 

Ma in loro non ci sono fatti, ci sono solo bias e dogmi suffragati da propaganda stantia. Il nostro lavoro non è combattere loro ma mostrare loro la consapevolezza. Non importa se riusciremo, ma il dialogo resta il mezzo migliore per comunicare informazioni.

In questo caso, io sono l’adulto e loro il bambino con varie problematiche. Punirli per ciò che sono non serve se non a creare una netta contrapposizione che può sfociare solo nella violenza. Attivare l’empatia se possibile è di gran lunga meglio.

In ogni caso, nel momento in cui dovessero passare all’azione, abbiamo il diritto di difenderci con mezzi adeguati a far cessare la situazione e, non colpire loro, ma proteggere le loro vittime. In questo caso, come con i cani quando c’è un’aggressione che può causare gravi conseguenze, si deve intervenire per inibire l’azione in corso ed è sempre meglio farlo con la mente fredda senza rabbia o indignazione, come un chirurgo in un intervento, che opera preciso per rimuovere il tumore con ogni mezzo e competenza che ha a disposizione.

Loro sono le nostre mosche del karma. Noi siamo le loro. 

PS: per quello che so del Karma non è praticamente mai immediato e infatti queste persone non restano sole, finiscono peggio: si aggregano tra di loro come cellule tumorali diventando una tribù che cerca di proteggere le proprie convinzioni in un mondo che sta diventando sempre più ostile nei loro confronti, radicalizzandoli e dandogli una crociata da combattere, convincendoli che sono nel giusto perché solo loro hanno capito come funziona il mondo e nessuno gli crede. 

Solo cambiando i paradigmi di riferimento possiamo sperare di continuare a migliorare, perché stanno cambiando, magari troppo lentamente ma, come ha detto Planck:  una nuova verità scientifica non trionfa convincendo i suoi oppositori e facendo vedere loro la luce; essa trionfa perché prima o poi i suoi oppositori muoiono e cresce una nuova generazione che ha familiarità con essa".  E questo fortunatamente vale per ogni verità.

Ah, but… personally? I like to think those same mages who sealed monsters away probably spread the rumors and the legend about the mountain, and that was probably more than enough to make sensible people stay away… and who know? Maybe those mages helped spread the legend in more ways than one. Humanity isn't really painted in a very good light in the beginning of Undertale.

…but canon aside, I like to think Chara fell and the other fallen children probably came about throughout the years/generations, not all at once. The ones who had quests and personal missions and reasons, however good or bad they were.

I swear I'm not taking it too seriously. lol

OH NO IGY i had always assumed the legend from the beginning was just a tale humans on the surface told their kids to scare them away from running up a mountain you know? i don't really like imagining the humans falling down within a relatively short span of time mostly because the game spends a bit hammering in how the monsters REALLY want to get out and it's been REALLY long since they've seen the sun (whole trapped down here for a millennia thing). it's just a bit of a weird setup or like a plot hole you don't really notice

for me the time between the magic spell for the barrier and chara falling down is probably a few hundred years and it's their disappearance that makes more human children curious throughout the next couple centuries. i think it'd make more sense. though i'm venturing into headcanons and speculation again so opps

FabSec01 – Password questa sconosciuta

Parecchio tempo fa, leggendo uno dei post divulgativi di Kon-igi, mi era venuta voglia di creare un servizio di divulgazione di Information Security. Non lo taggo, così che possa godersi in pace le sue barrette di cioccolato bianco, ma lo ringrazio ugualmente per l’ispirazione.

Con solamente un paio d’anni di ritardo, eccomi finalmente a pubblicare il mio primo post. Considerando che probabilmente non se lo filerà nessuno, sarà pure l’ultimo. Se dovesse invece riscuotere successo, farò del mio meglio per pubblicarne altri. Se dovesse infine diventare virale, vi invito tutti a cena a festeggiare.

Tema del post: Come si gestisce una password?

Le regole importanti sono poche, ma essenziali.

Primo: se sei un essere umano e sei in grado di memorizzare la tua password, allora la password è insicura. Secondo: più caratteri entrambi usi, meglio è. Terzo: lungo è bello (Password!)

Ed eccoci al primo dilemma: come posso utilizzare password sicure, se poi l’unico modo per ricordarle è trascriverle su un foglietto di carta da formaggio conservato accanto al mio PC? La risposta è ahimè vagamente anti-intuitiva: NON devi conoscere le tue password. Una soluzione sicura si basa sul fatto che tu NON debba memorizzare le tue password.

Possibile? Impossibile?

Per fortuna la tecnologia accorre in nostro aiuto, grazie ad applicazioni chiamate “Password Manager”. I PM sono dei contenitori di credenziali che faciliteranno l’accesso ai vostri account e eviteranno appunto che dobbiate memorizzare le vostre password.

Esistono parecchi PM, e molti prendono la forma di app per PC, mobile app, browser plugin, .. o tutte queste cose insieme. In tutti i casi, il PM richiederà l’inserimento di una master password, la “password di tutte le password”, per aprire la cassaforte e consentire l’accesso e utilizzo delle suddette credenziali.

Ecco un esempio della prima schermata:

Una volta inserita la password, potrete selezionare il sito a cui volete accedere, e lasciare che il PM apra una pagina nel browser e automaticamente inserisca username a password. E il gioco è fatto. Nota: PM diversi si comportano in maniera diversa, ma il principio e` lo stesso.

A questo punto, i più scaltri di voi, si domanderanno: eh, ma la master password? Come posso proteggerla o memorizzarla? Qualora venisse ottenuta da un utente malintenzionato, sarebbe il cavallo di troia per accedere a tutti i miei segreti! Ottima domanda. Dunque, in realtà ci sono parecchi meccanismi di protezione a prescindere della master password. Al tempo stesso, la vostra obiezione è valida.

La master password è importantissima e in quanto tale deve essere molto robusta. Lunghezza della password, entropia e key space (funzioni dell’insieme di caratteri da cui pescate per creare la vostra password) sono fondamentali. Ergo, è importante che scegliate una master password con cautela.

Una buona password è qualcosa come: Ciao!PossoInviarti8FotoDelPeneDiMiaCugina?:|

Ad attenta analisi, noterete che la password soddisfa tutti i criteri più importanti:

- Lunghezza (45)

- Caratteri in Maiuscolo (Sì)

- Caratteri in Minuscolo (Sì)

- Caratteri Numerici (Sì)

- Caratteri Speciali (Sì)  

- Memorizzabile (Sì)

- Unsolicited Dick Pics (No)

Le passphrase sono probabilmente una delle soluzioni migliori per ottenere password molto robuste e che al tempo stesso possano essere memorizzate.

In conclusione, il mio suggerimento è di fare uso di un PM come primo passo per irrobustire la vostra sicurezza online. Per ragioni che non vale la pena trattare in questo post, i PM sono utili anche per altri motivi. Un esempio su tutti: i PM sono più abili di noi a identificare un website fake, perciò sarà più difficile trarci in inganno.

Sia chiaro, i PM non sono il Santo Graal, e ovviamente fanno gola a qualunque black hat hacker, per ovvi motivi. Tutto considerato, restano però un primo passo verso una “security posture” migliore.

Nei prossimi giorni, o forse mai.. chissà, pubblico un’appendice a questo post con qualche suggerimento per analizzare la vostra sicurezza attuale. Sempre in tema password, ovviamente.
