WHATS THE BIG DEAL#also whenever relatives want to compliment how I look they always say you look Korean or Japanese but I’m khmer#most khmer people don’t even believe it when I say I am#ig it’s bc I’m paler than most and that might be my fault bc I only ever leave the house for school#but it feels so backhanded when they say you’re pretty like a Korean person#does that mean the only pretty Asian people are Korean?!? like wtf NO IM KHMER BOTH MY BIOLOGICAL PARENTS ARE TOO#my grandparents are also khmer Ik somewhere down the line I’m of Chinese decent#but I met a family that’s friends of my grandma in august when visiting Cambodia and everyone was like “you look Japanese those are like#such awkward conversations#milo’s shenanigans
