one thing that rlly gets me abt the spiderverse movies (and this is not the writers fault) is ganke's role in the films, or lack thereof. in the comics ganke is miles' best friend and confidant, he helped make miles' web shooters and his suit, he helps him fight the villains (in the tech support kinda way), he spends so much time w miles that miles' dad thought they were dating. ganke is essential to miles' mythos in the same way gwen and mary jane are in peter's. so it just hurts to go from this deep friendship in comics to pleasant enough roommates, and the knife just twists further when ganke overtly says that he doesn't want to help miles be spiderman when that has never been the case!!!! and i cant even be mad abt it bc fuckass mcu stole miles' entire life and gave it to peter in those fuckass movies, so naturally the writers wouldn't want ppl thinking ganke is a copy of ned when it's actually the other way around!!!!!!!!!!!
