this house made out of children's books is quite a contrast to the elaborate and majestic building that is the marktkirche. it is an art installation called '@ home' by piroska szönye and is dedicated to the work of the IFB foundation, who help and support families with terminally ill or handicapped people. one of the foundation's projects is a children's hospice in africa called 'löwenmut' ( lion's courage ). it gives terminally ill children a home and a place to spend their last days surrounded by their family in relative freedom and peace. they are dedicated to help ease the trauma that comes with losing a child or dealing with the death of a young one. the books are supposed to symbolize the transientness of life, as they wither in all kinds of weather conditions, but also stands for security and safety and warmth. #artprojects #artinthewild #bookhouses #martkirche #wiesbaden #piroskaszönye #IFBstiftung #kinderhospizlöwenmut #charitywork #contrasts (hier: Dern'sches Gelände) https://www.instagram.com/p/B9RKLDeqwSn/?igshid=ir0zb3a6x18z
