man... a meeting got cancelled today so i was like. i'll take my (insane + reactive) dog to the park! who's gonna be at the park at 11am on a thursday! it'll be empty and she can have a quiet low stress walk (still on leash)!

turns out people with badly trained dogs with zero recall will also go to the park at 11am on a thursday and let those dogs off-leash :(

#thankfully at the first park i saw the two small dogs running at a stranger before i got sophie out of the car #and the owner was struggling to get them away from the stranger who was just trying to ride their scooter #but at the second park the dog came out of nowhere and ran straight up to her and would NOT leave us alone even with sophie flipping out #and of course the owners were sitting down like 50+ feet away and made no move to call it back or do anything #your dog might be friendly but you don't know how other dogs are going to react to a strange dog running up to them!!#if you're gonna let your dog off-leash in a public area please make sure it at least has good recall :(#river talks
