i have. many thoughts about that ending.
#tw discussion of suicide#ive seen people saying that ranboo stepping off of the pressure plate was his character growing a spine. finally taking a stand#which. yeah that's true in the context of his character arc#but also. he killed himself to make a point.#and so people treating this as a sign of growth in his character does not sit right with me#if i can get personal for a sec. i had an uncle who did something similar.#he killed himself in front of his ex-girlfriend bc she was the one who got custody of their son#in his mind he was proving a point to her. he was spiting her for leaving him.#this isnt a one to one comparison i know.#i think ranboo genuinely wants wilbur and quackity to improve and views his 'sacrifice' as the only way it'll happen#plus the dsmp has the three lives system so assuming ranboo knew he wasnt on his last life he knew his death wouldnt be permanent#(this is assuming this takes place before jailbreak btw)#but still. it's the first thing that scene reminded me of.#so i guess what im saying is i dont want to see people portraying this as a triumphant moment for ranboo#wilburs death on nov 16th was an assisted suicide and a tragedy. ranboos death in hitting on 16 is the same.#if you want to sc these tags thats fine i just didnt want to put the stuff about my uncle on peoples dashes without warning
