"Rebel robin" easterggs

- Robin's friend is a horror movie fan whos fav movie is evil dead (jonathan has a poster of it in his room)

- Robin's parent's car is the " dodge dart" a ref to Dustin's demodog-dart

-robin and her friends make analogies to zombies (like Will- the zombie boy).

- robin faints. And her friend milton says "blink once for yes twice for no". A ref to what Joyce said to Will in s1.

- robin's other friend has a little sister named el-ie who pretends to be a squirrel. A ref to el killing a squirrel in s2. This is also reminiscent of a scene from the st prequel novel ' suspicious minds' where young-kali pretended to be a tiger (the Hawkins school mascot) & a rabbit (Jonathan's hunting story).

- robin reminds me alot of the byers: she is into photography and rock like jonathan and even worked at the movie theatre like jonathan did in the og pilot. They both like David bowie and cook for their families. She also is poor and wears hand-me down clothes from relatives (like Will). She also is into existential philosophers. Which is also similar to jonathan who had a poster of the poet rimbaud in his room.

- robin is almost run over by a car by a bully while riding her bike: similar to Mike, Dustin, and Lucas in s2

- robin says the best accessory for a girl is her middle finger. Cue max giving the middle finger to billy in s2 XD

- robin (before Will dissapears) sees the quarry and gets uncomfortable and thinks of metaphorical monsters

-tammy's fav song is total eclipse of the heart: the song Robin and Steve sang in s3. Tammy would often sing the song in robin and Steve's class.

- they make references to the hellfire club: she describes a time where she dresses like a cross between a nerd and a rebel. And a mom yells at her appearance saying she looks "goddless' . And another of Robin's friend (kate) is told ' what demon is possessing you, kate?" (hinting at the satanic panic). Meanwhile someone describes Mike and his friends as "hellions' as another hint to this. We also see how alot of parents got paranoid and a bit crazy when Will and barb dissappeared- prob foreshadowing the chaos that will happen if more kids dissappear in s4. Along with the satanic panic

-Robin is visiting her friend Kate at her house. Kate wanted to listen to Madonna together. Max and el listened to Madonna at el's.

- Robin's friend (kate) says "I dumped his ass" in reference to her cheating bf. A little nod to the m*leven breakup

- kate (like mike) says to Robin dating the opposite sex is a part of growing up . Which scares Robin (and Will in s3).

- a character named Sheena reminds me a bit of Will or el . She is very quiet, queercoded, and is often bullied. And she finds mean notes and other things in her locker- placed there by bullies. A bit like how Will found the zombieboy note in his locker. But sheena can be another name for Jane so ...maybe foreshadowing of el/jane being bullied in highscool?

- when robin hears a hom*phobic comment on tv- she describes the anxiety like a ' thundercloud in a big open sky' and a "chill". Which reminds me of the mf being associated with clouds, thunder, and lightning. And the mf liking it cold.

- robin constantly describes the monster or shadow in her life- whether it be her talking about conformity or the problems of consumerism while she is poor (themes of s3).

- robin before realizing she was gay/crushing on tammy just says " I don't get crushes' which reminds me a bit of Will saying " I'm not going to fall in love" (as the lyrics are " love thats new to you, you open up the door')

-robin on her bike hears something (demogorgan) and runs back to her house , locks the door, and calls her friend- and the phone gets electrocuted. The next day Will is said to be missing. (Another Will paralllel).

- i was right about robin being in theatre. So we most likely will see robin in theatre in s4 (she also auditioned with a friend in the book). So for s4 my guess is she may be in the drama club with dustin- cause in s1 he had a drama shirt

- one of her friends is named milton. Since the documentary 'paradise lost' was on the s4 movie list. Its prob a ref to John milton who wrote the fictional 'paradise lost'. The character Sheena may be a ref to the 80s film/movies *where sheena (jane) was psychic

-Robin's gal pal (kate) and Robin eat m&ms and candies together. Kate jokes m&ms and candy bars are 'foods of the gods'. El ate m&ms in s3. They joke how talking about plural gods (instead of 1) would get them in trouble. In case you are unaware- kali (is the name of a Hindu goddess) and el (is the name of a cannanite god) .

-Robin also mentions hopper's car smells like eggos.

- robin tries running away (like el in s2, max in her novel, and jonathan also wrongfully assumed Will ranaway in s1 too).

-robin tries to get a job at Joyce's, than Bob's, and later gets a job where jonathan used to work

-bob newby describes the byers family as his "home" . Similar to how El describes the Hawkins gang as "home".

- robin says she was friends with barb before nancy. Suspiciously right after she says this- barb grabs Robin's hallpass that says ' glitch in the time space continuim. " the teacher who wrote this called robin a "glitch". Which makes me wonder if my did theory is right- but ...that certain powers at be may also alter memories or things so people assume said people have always been around.Mentioning it cause it seemed suspicious.

-not an eastegg but robin can't believe how nice Bob is. And Bob says the byers filled a hole in his life 😭 . She also felt an instant connection with Will and saw alot of herself in him.And asked if Joyce ever thought of moving like everyone suggested . One of the reasons Robin didn't like steve was because Steve never mentioned how Jonathan took innapropriate photos of Nancy. So everyone at school just knew jonathan as the quiet kid who takes pictures. So to everyone it just seemed like- wow you're bullying the quiet kid who's brother is missing and take away the one thing still left in his life that makes him happy. Which is why everyone assumes jonathan beat up steve later. Interesting to know how general Hawkins (not in the loop) viewed things

Sticking Together {AJ Styles x Little Sister!Reader}

“The challenger, Shinsuke Nakamura and the champion AJ Styles.”

Paige’s British accent flew out of your phone and reached your ears as you intently watched the video that you had pulled up while you sat with such intensity that it was the only thing you could focus on.

“-Will be a last man standing match. So that means that the winner will be determined when one man is incapacitated and unable to answer the ten count that the referee gives you.” She said looking to your brother AJ and to Shinsuke as she spoke to them both.

Both men were seated at a wooden conference table with Paige, the SmackDown general manager. AJ was on her right and Shinsuke was on her left. Behind her was the Money in the Bank logo that was all too familiar to not only you but also to the whole WWE Universe.

“And I assure you,” Paige continued, “there will be a winner.”

You skipped ahead a bit and got to what you were looking for. The contract signing.

You had never actually seen the whole video but a few of your friends had told you it was insanely ridiculous.

Shinsuke with a sharp movement pulled the pen out of the folder and held it up. He rubbed a thumb over the tip and then with a mocking tone said. “It’s out of the ink.”

Paige nodded, “Here then let me-” and started to reach for it when Shinsuke with a flick of his wrist flung it over his shoulder rudely.

“Can I please borrow your pen?” He asked your brother with a mocking look. It made your lips curl up in disgust.

With a sigh, your brother handed the pen over, placing it onto the folder with a small bang. Shinsuke held it up and looked at it for a few seconds before he said. “This pen is broken.” and threw it.

But he threw it at AJ.

It narrowly missed hitting your brother in the arm.

AJ then flipped out, annoyed with the Japanese man’s games and began to yell at him. Then a few men in suits came and held AJ back making sure he didn’t hurt the other man. AJ assured them that he was okay.

That’s when Shinsuke hit the table, mocking AJ.

And AJ struck.

He smacked Nakamura hard with an open palm and the other man dragged him out of the room.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

You shut the phone off and then looked up to see your brother AJ come in. “Hey darling, you ready?” He asked.

You smiled. “Yeah I’m ready.”

Tonight was the aftermath of Money In The Bank. AJ had thankfully won the match but Shinsuke wasn’t done there. Like always Shinsuke liked to play games. He liked to get people’s blood boiling.

And he had.

Last week he had come after you this time.

While AJ had the week off and you were on that night, Shinsuke had cornered you.

BAM!

As you exited your locker room you suddenly found yourself trapped on either side by a pair of arms. Looking up you saw it was Shinsuke Nakamura.

The Japanese man towered over you pinning your back to the wall as he trapped you between both his arms. You could feel his body heat he was so close.

“(Y/N) Styles…” He said, his accent slurring your last name.

You glanced around trying to see if anybody was near to help you but nobody was. You gulped and took a deep breath and your gaze hardened.

“What do you want Nakamura?” You asked with a sigh.

Nakamura took one of his hands off the wall and took a strand of your hair and started to twirl it between his fingers. He pulled it slightly which made you annoyed and uncomfortable.

He then leaned in right next to your ear, his stubble tickling your ear he was so damn close.

“I want to let you know that I’m going to destroy your brother. And then I’m gonna come for you.” He said.

Then he went over the line.

He smelled your hair.

With a surprised yell you shoved him off you and he stumbled back with a smile on his face. He knew he had gotten to you. That was his whole intention. You quickly turned and walked down the hall as fast as you could quickly glancing over your shoulder every few seconds making sure he wasn’t following you.

He stared at you as you walked down the hall. Just watching you with hungry eyes.

The whole thing had been caught on camera and when AJ saw it he went wild with anger. He had immediately challenged the other man to a match. Since then AJ had barely left your side. And when he had to leave your side he made sure there were others around to make sure nothing happened to you. It had gotten a bit stifling. Shinsuke hadn’t show up since the incident and you knew that this had been his plan all along. He wanted to throw your brother off his game. He wanted your brother’s championship.

“I won’t let him hurt you (Y/N).” AJ said to you as you got up to head to the ring.

“Let’s get going.”  You said not replying to his comment directly only answering with a forced smile, trying not to show how much this whole situation was actually bothering you.

As you weaved through the chaos backstage you could hear Shinsuke’s music blare as he made his entrance that evening. You ground your teeth together hoping everything would be alright and that things wouldn’t get out of hand. You started to slow down a bit realizing, at last how crazy this was getting.

AJ must have sensed your nervousness, because he placed one of his hands on the small of your back, and this caused you to look up at him. He gave you a comforting smile and walked beside you leading you through the back towards the entrance of the arena.

You finally arrived to the curtain where you were to enter the arena. You both stopped at the edge of the curtain. AJ fixed the belt around his waist and together you both gave a look to the sound guy.

The lights in the arena turned blue and the crowd cheered. Together AJ and you flipped up your matching hoodies and ran out together going straight into the infamous crouch that your brother always did.

You popped up with your brother in perfect sync throwing your hoodie back. The crowd let out another thunderous cheer. You glanced towards the ring and saw Shinsuke leaning against the red ropes within the ring staring towards you and your brother with hungry eyes.

“Please welcome from Gainesville Georgia, accompanied to the ring by his sister (Y/N) Styles, the WWE Champion, AJ Styles!” Jojo’s voice echoed around the arena. You ran to the side to high five a few hands before going to your brothers side once more. You were now at the edge of the ramp standing before the ring. You froze.

AJ who was behind you noticed and turned towards you his back to the ring.

“It’s gonna be alright (Y/N), I’m right here.” He said.

You sighed. “I know AJ it’s just-.” You stopped short for you had glanced up towards the ring.

And saw Shinsuke flying in the air towards the both of you.

“AJ-!” You said shoving him to the side.

BLAM!

Shinsuke Nakamura’s 229 pound body hit yours with such force that you went down to the ground immediately.

You landed on your back your head smacked against the raised metal ramp and Shinsuke lay on top of you. You let out a gasp of pain as your bodies came to rest. Your ears were ringing--or was that the audience roaring? You couldn’t tell. 

Meanwhile

“Oh my god! Shinsuke has just suicide dived off of the stage and into (Y/N)!” Mauro Ronallo said in shock.

“I think that dive was meant for her brother but (Y/N) pushed him out of the way!” Corey Graves said.

AJ after you had pushed him watched in horror as Shinsuke took you to the ground. Rushing to you he grabbed Shinsuke by his belt loops and hair and hauled him off of you. You felt the weight lifted and rolled to the side out of your brothers way. Your brother then punched the Japanese man in the face which sent Shinsuke reeling back stunned against the ring apron.

Fueled with rage AJ beat Shinsuke to a pulp within minutes. Shinsuke lay in the ring dazed and defeated.

AJ yelled for a mic that was thrown to him quickly. Putting it to his lips he glared at the man on the floor as he towered over him. “YOU COWARD! HOW DARE YOU COME AFTER MY LITTLE SISTER! HOW DARE YOU ATTACK A MAN WHEN HIS BACK IS TURNED!” He screamed into the mic.

AJ then leaned down next to Shinsuke and with a venomous tone, his southern accent clearer now that he was angry said, “If you ever come after my sister again I will give you a beating far worse than the one you got today, you can count on that.” He spat before discarding the mic. It landed with a thunk as AJ stood. He shifted to gaze at you.

During the time that the incident had happened, three refs had come from backstage to your aid. You had gotten back some of your bearings but your head was still throbbing and your whole body ached. You were still on the ground but you were sitting up, your back against one of the refs as he supported you.

AJ went under the ropes out onto the apron before hopping down and walking over to the refs and you. The men in the striped shirts let him through. He bent down next to you and glanced at the ref who was supporting your upper body. “How are you feeling?” He asked.

You shook your head. AJ pursed his lips. “Alright come on, let's get you backstage.” He said.

The ref looked at AJ. “She took a nasty knock to the head AJ. The bump is forming already.” He informed your older brother.

AJ glanced at the back of your head and saw sure enough, the referee was right. “Alright thanks.” He said. “Let’s get her up.” He said to the ref.

Together the two men worked to get you to your feet. You let out a groan as your muscles moved, and as your adrenaline lowered the pain became worse. You leaned on your brother heavily. “Can you walk sweet pea?” AJ asked his concerned gaze sweeping over your body. You tried to take a step but it didn’t work as you planned and AJ prevented you from falling forward onto your face.

Your brother sighed seeing how bad you were and he stepped to one side and put a hand on your upper back. 

“Here we go baby.” AJ said before swooping you up into his arms. You were in his arms bridal style now. He picked you up easily and started to walk up the ramp.

“AJ STYLES! AJ STYLES! AJ STYLES!”

You heard the crowd cheer for your brother as you exited the ring.

As you entered the backstage area it was dead silent as AJ carried you through. You saw a few familiar faces as you past such as the Uso’s, The New Day and even the Hardy’s. All of them got to one side as they saw your brother striding with a purpose, you limp in his arms.

You finally arrived to the med bay and the medics were already waiting for you. As AJ lay you down on the exam bed, first letting go of your legs and then carefully cradling your head he let it rest against the bed.

“She hit her head really hard when Nakamura slammed into her.” Your brother said to the medic.

“Alright (Y/N) I know you are a bit out of it, but I need you to sit up for me okay?”

You nodded slowly getting up with a little help from AJ. “There ya go darling.” AJ murmured as you sat up.

The medic stood in front of you. With gentle fingers he ran them along your head and they easily found the bump. “Oh yeah we need to get some ice on that.” He said removing his hands. He then took out a penlight and did a few eye exams.

When it was all said and done the medic sighed. “You are showing definite signs of a concussion.” He said. “I’m gonna suggest you go to a hospital and get a CAT scan to see how bad it is and then we’ll go from there.” He said.

You sighed nodding and let your head lower but this simple action caused you to become slightly nauseous and dizzy and you flopped back against AJ who caught you. “Woah! Take it easy there sweetheart.”

After seeing this the medic glanced at AJ. “I think this is a tad more serious than we thought. We have an ambulance standing by if--.”

“No.” You said letting out a breath trying to rid yourself of the nauseous feeling. “No ambulance.” You said. You looked at your brother for support and he nodded. “Alright then-no ambulance.” He said even though he didn’t like the idea but knew you wanted it for a reason.

The medic said nothing to your response but nodded. “Alright. I’ll have a car take you. Let me get you some ice though.” He walked over to a cabinet, opened it and reached in to grab an ice pack. He handed it to your brother. “I’ll call a car.” He said before exiting the room.

AJ nodded and after watching the medic leave quickly squeezed the ice pack and it let out a popping sound. Shaking it for a few seconds, your brother then gently placed the pack on your head where your bump was. “There now.” He said softly. “That’ll help the swelling go down.” He said.

You reached up and replaced AJ’s hand with your own. “Thanks.” You said softly your eyes closed for the light was hurting your eyes.

AJ looked at you, his gaze soft. “I’m sorry.” He said suddenly.

This caused you to open your eyes and gaze up at your brother with confusion. “Why are you sorry?” You asked.

Your older brother shook his head. “I promised you that Shinsuke wasn’t going to hurt you and now here we are.” AJ said in a defeated tone.

You grabbed his hand and squeezed it. He looked down at you finding it adorable that you were trying to comfort him instead of looking for him to comfort you.

“You kept your promise AJ. If I hadn’t pushed you out of the way I might not be the only one injured. You couldn’t have been too. Also if you had fallen on me I could have ended up much worse than just having a concussion.” You said. He didn’t answer and you prayed that he understood.

“I am here because of a decision I made. I chose to push you out of the way.” You said.

“Why did you do it?” He asked.

You found it surprising that he was asking this. “It happened so fast I didn’t really think about it.” You told him. He nodded. “Well all the same--thank you..” He said and he leaned down and kissed your forehead gently.

“I know you would have done the same if it were me.” You said. He chuckled.

“You're damn right I would. We Styles gotta stick together.” He said softly.

“Ain’t that the truth.” You said, letting your accent out in full.

And for the first time in a week you felt the safest you had ever felt.
