my controversial opinion of the day is that the mclaren car is not as good as some of you are pretending it is. people keep calling it a rocketship and while i do think it's clearly the best car on the grid at the moment i don't think it's actually that much better than the mercedes or ferrari or even the red bull. all of this ferrari tractor or red bull junkheap talk is just not quite true. i do think that max are the ferrari boys are outdriving their cars but i also don't think they're totally shit cars

#i keep seeing people shit on lando and oscar for not winning in a 'rocketship' but i don't think the car is actually that much better #i still think mclaren leadership and strategy deserves criticism #as do the drivers to an extent #but people are acting like they're throwing away wins in a significantly faster car #and i don't think that's true #if you really want to see a rocketship compared to the rest of the field watch merc in 2014 #that was a rocketship
