Honeslty...some of the most romantic lines to have been said on this show.

Melinda is so soft when she tells Andrew she just wanted to hear his voice. I find that so sweet; finding comfort in someone’s voice, in their presence.

Melinda is at the point where Shield is suffocating her. Everything happening, everything she went through, everything she had to endure while Coulson was on the run only to feel more betrayed when he came back. Andrew is her escape, her breath of fresh air. He is the memory of what they had and the reminder than they might still be able to have it.

And that is why Andrew wants to take her away; take her on that vacation they never got to go on after Bahrain. Andrew is the outside prospective for Melinda. She thinks she deserves to suffer, to just work and work, she doesn’t think she deserves good things and Andrew is there to reassure her that yes she does and she can. It ends the season on such a high note for them but especially for Melinda.

Plus; the image of May and Andrew drunk in Coulson’s office is amazing. I’m surprised no one wrote a fan fiction about it 😹😹😹
