   some days she missed the cyber cafe . . .   that atmosphere had emulated everything that was unique about herself and phineus ; everything that they loved they put into that space together. letting go of that business had been painful --- but the reality was that it was more painful stepping back into the building when all was said and done. one foot in the door and october felt like she couldn't breathe. the feelings she had about her safe place had been tainted. so she'd sold out, took the money and skipped town to start a new life for herself. in time, with that new life came a new business - october would say it was a smart financial move, but if one was to pull back the curtain they'd see how much she craved the semi normalcy that was her life prior to the video game. another cyber cafe was out - she could go the rest of her life without being around video games in any capacity - so she'd invested in a bar. it was casual and small, somewhat of a "townie" bar, and october liked it that way. it felt familiar to be behind the bar, only in a slightly different way. it was one of those quiet nights, the ones where she leaned against the bartop and read while waiting for a patron to need something. there were a handful of customers out on the floor, spread out between tables. only one person was seated at the bar, and october made her way back over to him, a small smirk settled on her lips. ❛ looks like you've got a lot on your mind, sweetie. we thinking we want to talk about it, or drink it out of our system ? ❜
