Look I know I'm probably the only one still obsessed with AoS, and I'm sure most people already know about this. But since this came into my YouTube shorts today(because somehow YouTube knows that I'm still obsessed with AoS), I have to talk about it.
If it's not clear this is another subtitle correction post.
So remember the scene when Jang Uk broke into Jinyowon because Jin Hogyeong was torturing Buyeon by tightening the tracking thread sewn into her flesh? And then he barged into the into the room snatched the whole tracking thread from Jin Hogyeong and destroyed it without even pulling out his sword? And then he said, with one hand on his hips the other resting on the handle of his sword, that his wife couldn't sleep?
I'm sure you all remember it.
Except... Jang Uk never says, "my wife cannot sleep"
The dialogue in Korean goes: uri ae ga jamal mo jasso-yo.
He used the word "ae", which directly translates to child or(yes, if you guessed it you guessed right) baby.
So what Jang Uk actually says is that, "my baby cannot sleep".
See it's a minor subtitle correction, and it's not even a correction actually, because there was no wrong translation in this scene.
But it SOOO important to me that everyone should know that THIS is what Jang Uk said.
That not only did he stop Jin Hogyeong from physically abusing Buyeon ever again in the future, he slapped her in the face with the fact that he called his wife, her daughter, "baby"!
My baby cannot sleep. Please refrain from calling your daughter in the middle of the night. As you already know, we are newly weds.
Uff!!!
