Arcane s1 is beautifully crafted but they are sketchy on the worldbuilding and it does show
#fuck this show. arcane making me ask gritty-man-fantasy ass questions!!#like what was the effect of the older generations’ revolution? did it actually get them out of the mines (as silco seems to claim)#or are they STILL in the mines (as jayce inventing the gauntlet [lol] seems to imply)#if they’re still in the mines they would be a source of income for piltover which makes sense#if they’re NOT in the mines anymore—what is their economy?????#are they just stealing from each other and selling drugs and that’s it????????????#and why DOESN’T piltover cut them loose if their economies are so separate???#it doesn’t seem like topsiders employ undercity people as a rule#so?????? these class divisions make no fucking sense#Silco claims they made life better for people in the undercity! by taking all the jobs away except for Shimmer production??????#or is EVERYONE we meet in the undercity part of a criminal underclass while most undercitiers are in the mines???#if so don’t you think you should show us what life is like for the average non-criminal????????????#cate liveblogs!
