Drum island:

So i love the way that the doctors story actually circles back back to luffy's desire to go on adventures and see the world.

This man was born in winter, in a sick country with no hope and lost his will to live. And what woke him up was getting out of there, to a different island that had blossoming trees, something he had never seen before and never would have if he stayed at home.

#Saying goodbye and leaving are a central part of this story #Its something that hurts chopper but its also that which leads to new things #i also cant help but notice that the witch is wearing a shirt with cherry blossoms on it #so she might agree with the doc in some way despite their opposed views in medicine #one piece #also just to bring the pickled plums back up #they do tie into this #if the peoplr of this island want to experience the true beauty of the worldthey have to leave aka get fresh fruit from somewhere else #:))#just my personal lil take #also dalton letting go of his former ties to the previous king and turning againt wapol #is a form of goodbye
