I don’t buy Mia as an Anne of Green Gables hater, Princess in Love be damned. She’s a closet Christy fan in the first book, for fuck’s sake.
#I actually don’t buy her list of books that suck at all#listen it would be valid if she were a 15yo girl who just wanted to read about sex and explosions and swearing#but she has bubblegum tastes through and through#also I’m sorry but Laura Ingalls (the fictionalized character) would kick her diffident prep school ass#if the overstimulation of modern-day Manhattan didn’t kill her#she’d probably learn how to use a computer just to cyberbully Mia out of the country#I’m not even saying I relish this outcome#I just remember Laura bullying her own teacher#in little town on the prairie#know your herstory Mia!!!#or your lit-HER-ature#the princess diaries#(also i have a lot of sympathy for Holden Caulfield)#(but Miss I Want Everyone in The Scarlet Letter to Explode All of a Sudden)#(is not going to have patience for his sulking no matter how many times he says damn)#(what is with this passage. the flight of the concords wrote a better diss track)#(Eminem…is not very good. Queen Latifah…is not very good.)
