^ absolutely, but that won't happen within the next month (or year, or most likely decade. It's a slow process.) Within the next month, we have to vote for the candidates who are most likely to move us closer to that goal (or at least less far away).

#us politics #us elections 2024 #find out who to vote for in your local/state elections #because we are SO MUCH more likely to achieve progress on these goals at state levels #if states all divvy their electoral votes a la nebraska and maine #if states all implement ranked-choice voting in-state #that will be worlds closer to the actual goal than failed attempt after failed attempt to amend the constitution #and give more time for people to see the lack of electoral college as normal and get the amendment through #divide and conquer #and don't let anyone else distract you from the next steps #we're in the season to get this election done focus on big systemic changes the day after
