if you're still up for opinions and what-not, IN MY OPINION AND FROM MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE FROM PLAYING THE GAMES:

The 3D models/updated models in RoR are kind of better than the models in PN2 ngl... Don't get me wrong the ones in PN2 are good, but I feel like the RoR models stayed close to the charm and style of the original game while still having a polished updated look. The colors are a big example, because I feel like the colors in 2 are waaaayy to saturated sometimes. And the animation is so fucking good too... they're so fluid. Also on the topic RoR I think that one is gonna take place as my number one favorite Psychonauts game. It feels like the forgotten middle child sometimes and I think we need to show it some more love

unfortunately i haven't played ror....i dont have a vr anything and ive never watched a playthrough (although i should). so i cant say anything on the last bit.

i looked up the models to see what you're talking about and...i guess??? it's a little hard to tell the difference in fandom wiki screenshots sadly but i kinda see what you're talking about with regards to the colors. the rest i don't really see.

i know this is largely a hot take with the core fandom but i kinda prefer everything about pn2 over pn1. at least artstyle wise. pn1 has its charm and i see the appeal of the grittier washed-out look of the characters and locations but i personally just LOVE the bright colors and sleek design of everything in pn2. i love the way almost every character looks in pn2 much better than in pn1. again i see the appeal of the first game's artstyle for sure but the second one is much more up my alley. so i think if i could tell the difference between pn2 and ror better id probably still prefer pn2.

picking ror as your favorite is queen shit tho. nobody cares about ror. props to you for being one of the few to give it love as im sure it deserves
