“Come on, you can’t say he has so much potential!” Max miserably tried to hold in his laughs as you continued your rant about how much better Max would look if he put a little more effort or thought in how he dressed.
“I’m honestly starting to think he’s allergic to wearing anything . . . not Red Bull related. Like even in his streams! In his home!”
Sitting in front of his laptop with a makeshift setup in the hotel room in Japan, Max found himself unwinding from the earlier media day when he gladly accepted to join you for a game of Fifa. It wasn’t until someone brought up Lewis’ outfit from this morning did you start your little ted talk.
“La, please concentrate on the game, we’re losing!” he couldn’t stop laughing either so your team was toast either way.
“No, because I bet he's wearing his Red Bull shirt right now wherever he is.”
The reason why Max was no longer able to hold it together was because he was indeed in a Red Bull shirt. He might actually take you up on being allergic to anything not associated with Red Bull.
“I’ll gladly design a few outfits for him, I swear!”
“La-” Max put his face in his hands, shoulders shaking from laughter as his screen showed the opposing team scoring a goal. The dutch would usually feel frustrated if he were to be losing a Fifa game in any other situation, but not this one with you.
He's ready to lose and lose again, even give up his title as one of the world's top twenty Fifa players if he gets to spend time with you like this, laughing and joking; forgetting the world around, so it's just you and him.
Just two people . . . being people.
★ ☆ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
“Since I have no one to show, you're stuck with me.”
It’s kind of been a routine now, having a private call after a game or upon finding spare time. You two have gotten close. You even considered “amilian” to be a close friend, per say. A close friend who you regularly vent to about work or just randomly ask riddles or dad jokes to bother.
You enjoyed his company. He was a fun person to be around. He made you feel . . . yellow in a type of way too. You never felt left out or unheard. He always had time for you, it's like you were maybe gravitating to being more than close friends . . . it's not like you can do anything about it though.
Surely people make close friends online all the time.
You stay up on your couch, scrolling through the settings of your laptop to show and rant despite having to get up in the morning. Max crossed his legs on his chair folding his arms and watching the screen as you messed around on your shared screen.
“La, it’s late.” He’s been trying to tell you for the past 10 minutes. It’s 6:30 in Japan, 7 hours ahead of the time in Paris, where you were.
Not that he’s keeping track of the time where you were, it’s just that you shared the same time zone as Monaco, and he only had the GMT+2 clock displayed on his home screen because he needed to keep track of his cats . . .  not too make sure you got enough sleep or anything of that sort.
“It's only 11:30,” you shushed, pulling up pinterest. Max hung his head, trying to hold in his smile. “I could put together a whole outfit that would suit him right here and now,”
“La,” Max giggled watching you actually start to search and put things together. “I’ll make a deal with you, if you go to sleep, I'll try to get Max Verstappen in baggy jeans,”
“WHAT?!” the blond flinched at the loud noise, looking around his hotel room to make sure no one heard anything -- despite him being alone.
“You know I work in F1 right?” Max followed up, trying to hold in his smile at your silence. “La, you forgot?!”
“I’m sorry!” you pleaded, holding your hands in a begging motion despite him not seeing anything.
Max put his hand on his chest and pretended to be offended when he was smiling really wide to the point his cheeks hurt. “My best friend doesn't know what I do for a living,” he gushed in fake hurt.
Your mind blanked at the title. Best friend?
“You do know what my job is, right, La?”
“. . .” You looked away embarrassed, you’ve known the guy for how long and don’t even know what his profession is.
Max couldn’t stop his giggles. “Go to bed, La. I’ll get Max in baggy jeans for you.”
★ ☆ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
“Hey um, million?”
“I thought I told you to go to bed?” Max chuckled, crouched in front of his suitcase, digging through it in hopes to find a pair of baggy jeans or a white shirt that he probably doesn't own.
“I am in bed technically . . .” The blond looked over to his laptop on his desk, the call still going. “You work in F1,” Max felt his heart jump in anxiety for a second, there's no way you figured him out.
“Yeah?”
“Well um . . . my boss chose me to go see how things were going with McLaren at the Monaco gp,”
The dutch perked up at your announcement. “Really? That's great!”
“Y-Yeah, it is,” you stuttered, agreeing. you crossed your arms, looking at the email congratulating you on your phone screen. “I mean, I'm glad, this is an experience of a lifetime. I get to drag along a few interns with me as well.” Max frowned, your tone did not match with the news you were announcing.
“What's wrong?” He got up, sitting on the desk chair, looking at your profile picture, the concern was clear in voice, as if you could feel him sitting beside you on your bed and gently rubbing your back to comfort you.
“Well, I don't have anyone to go with - the interns don't count . . . and I don't know anyone in Monaco or the attendees-- except you technically . . . I haven’t been on my own for that long before,” you sighed.
Max furrowed his eyebrows, trying to decipher what you were asking of him.
“Is it-” you cut yourself of with a sigh. “Can I hang out with you sometime? During the weekend?” Max stayed silent, feeling his heart pounding to the point he was scared the organ would explode out of his chest.
“I mean,” Max cleared his throat to hide the crack in his voice that arose from the anxiety he was drowning in. “I’m not traveling with the team every weekend, so I'm not sure if I'm going to be in Monaco . . . I’ll have to ask my boss.” he replied quietly and slowly, trying to comfort you still. “There’s still a few weeks before Monaco, so . . . I don’t know for sure.” He whispered, scratching the back of his head.
He was digging himself a grave. Asking Horner if he’s going to be in Monaco when he is the driver and already lives in Monaco? It’s too late now to be honest about who he is, he dug this hole himself and now he’s stuck in it.
It’s not like he can be like ‘oh, yeah of course you can hang out with me. Oh, I’m Max Verstappen by the way, the guy who’s driving the best car and winning all the races, so I can get you VIP tickets and a hot lap too if you want.’
“I’ll try my best to be there,” the blond whispered. You could almost feel him brushing your hair comfortingly. “We can get ice cream or go sightseeing. I know this really good cafe you’ll like . . .” Max will just have to keep digging his hole.

Come back (to me)
Pairing: Takeomi Akashi x F!Reader
Genre: Crack
Word count: 1.2k
Warnings: Kidnapping, violence, guns being pointed at someone’s face
You get kidnapped, and the kidnappers send Takeomi the tape. You’re not happy about the money asked for your rerturn.
Tumblr media
Kokonoi was the first to arrive at work that day, per usual.
At 11:36 fucking a.m.
The meeting was supposed to start at 10, but everyone really knew that meant it’ll start anywhere from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Fuck’s sake.
Honestly, he should start charging everyone a late fee. How is he supposed to arrive fashionably late with a Pink Drink from Starbucks if every other motherfucker isn’t even there?
Jesus help him.
As he sips his drink, considering just calling everyone one by one to scream in their face, he slams the door to the building open, something snagging at the entrance.
He huffs, assuming the carpet got caught in the door, but as he looks down to correct whatever was wrong, he only finds an envelope there.
He raises an eyebrow.
Picking it up, he inspects it, gently pressing the envelope between his fingers to ensure there wasn’t anything explosive in there, but all he felt is a small, long oval lump.
Turning the envelope around, there was no return address, but Takeomi’s name was written on it in shaky, barely legible handwriting.
Well.
Koko decided to take a plunge, and ripping open the envelope with his teeth, he raised an eyebrow at what he found.
A USB stick.
It couldn’t be anything good.
Fuck.
He better call him.
Tumblr media
Takeomi bounced his leg, waiting for the laptop Kokonoi provided to accept and open up its content.
A pop-up opened up, with three files creatively titled ‘video1.avi’, ‘video2.avi’ and ‘video3.avi’ being the only content.
Takeomi took a long, ragged breath as Kokonoi paced behind him, biting his nails, and clicked on the first one.
His stomach churned.
It depicted you, in a dingy warehouse, bound to a chair and duct tape over your mouth, makeup smeared and eyes red and puffy as tears streamed down your face, a man wearing a face mask standing next to you with a gun pointed at your head.
“Well, as you can see, Akashi,” An unfamiliar voice spoke behind the camera, chuckling, “We got something that belongs to you. J, take that shit off her mouth.”
The man standing next to you ripped the duct tape off, visibly making you flinch as a loud sob escaped your mouth, head hung low, shoulders shaking.
Kokonoi cursed behind Takeomi as Takeomi gulped, panic flooding his every sense.
“Please…” Finally, you spoke, teary eyes looking up at the camera, more sobs following, “Please, I don’t know anything!”
“We don’t give a shit about information.” The man next to you, J, scoffed, pressed the gun harder into your temple.
Takeomi felt like he’s been shot.
He knew you were a mistake, he should have kept you away, he shouldn’t have gotten involved with you in the first place, look where that has gotten you- Where it has gotten him.
He found comfort in the fact that besides the tears and smeared makeup, you seemed okay, there were no bruises or cuts visible, so at least they didn’t harm you.
Yet.
He’ll hunt those bastards down and tear them apart limb by limb if they touch a hair on your head.
“We got your bitch, Akashi, and there’s a price to pay for her.” The man behind the camera laughed.
“Please, Omi, help me…” You whimpered out in fear, eyes shut as you tried to collect yourself, “Please, I have an exam on Tuesday, I can’t fail, Takeomi, I’ll have to retake the year! Baby, please…”
Kokonoi quirked an eyebrow.
You’ve got a fucked up sense of priorities, besides, he’s pretty sure your professor would have taken ‘Being held hostage’ as a valid enough excuse for not attending the exam.
The sick bastard next to you laughed.
“J, untie her hands. Give her the ransom note.”
The man in the mask did as asked, letting you rub your sore wrists for a second before shoving a notepad into your hands.
You flinch, taking a shaky breath, but quickly rubbing the tears away with the back of your hand, your eyes flicking down, beginning to read.
“Akashi,” You stop, letting out another sob, “If you ever want to see your whore alive again-“
You seemingly broke down again, bawling and whimpering, tears dripping off your cheeks onto your lap.
“Leave 6 million yen-“
You stopped crying to make a face of confusion, looking up and glancing at the man still pointing a gun at your head, and the man behind the camera.
“Sorry, mister kidnapper, I don’t mean to tell you how to do your job but- 6? Really?” You raised an eyebrow, wiping the newly formed tears away, “Is that like, a going rate in the industry or…?”
The man in a mask furrowed his brows, insecurely looking at the man behind the camera.
The guy behind the camera cleared his throat.
“Um, there isn’t really an industry? It’s just what we… We thought would be an appropriate amount?”
“Bruh.”
“Like, you’re just some whore Akashi keeps around, no? 6 seems plenty-“
Takeomi clearly saw the look in your eye shift from deep, damning fear into annoyance.
He breathed a sigh of relief.
There she goes.
“First off, I am not a whore, I am the whore. Second, 6 million? Bitch- That’s all you think I’m worth?!” Yelling, you slammed the notepad onto your knees, “Are you fucking for real? Not even like, 10?! Or 20? A nice round number? 6? 6?!”
You started untying your feet, the man in the mask pulling the safety off his gun, an alarmed look on his face.
“Bitch, I don’t know who the fuck think you are but-“
“Get that shit out of my fucking face! You’re being such a fucking beta male right now, I swear to-“ Without a second thought, you smacked the gun out of the man’s hand with the notepad, standing up and continuing to beat the man with now rolled-up notepad.
The video cut off.
“Your bitch is fucking insane.” Kokonoi muttered, standing right behind Takeomi right now.
Takeomi hummed in agreement as he clicked on the second video.
It was just a minute and twenty seconds of you somehow getting ahold of a leg chair and still hitting the masked man.
Oh well.
Video three.
It depicted a now sobbing man, different from the one previously holding a gun to your head.
His voice was the same as the one previously holding the camera.
“Please, Akashi, we fucked up, take her back-“
“Bitch, what you crying about? You look like you cry when you cum too- Jesus fucking- Give me that before I- Hi Omi!” You wrestled out the camera from the man’s hands, shoving him to the ground before graciously offering the guy a few more kicks.
You look up at the camera and smile.
“Hey babe, so, I know this seemed scary and all, no worries though, I will call them an ambulance.” You turn to look back at the masked man, who was clutching both his ribs and his crotch, curled up on the ground, “I may have gone overboard, but oh well. 6 million? Can you fucking imagine? The disrespect- Anyway, I know we had an argument a few days ago, but pinky promise I’ll make it up to you, see you today at 9? Okay, cool cool, send my love to Kaku, mwah mwah, bye!”
The video cut off.
Takeomi sighed.
Yeah, he shouldn’t have been worried.
Crazy and stupid really is his type.

On Goldfish
Let's talk about goldfish. It's a popular first-time pet for people with toddlers--they think they can get a couple, put them in a tiny tank, drop in some flakes, so it's considered easy to care for. The toddler can look at it without worrying about the kid chasing around a cat or dog, which might hurt them if said-child does something foolish, like pull on a cat's tail. If it dies after a few months, oh well! It's just a goldfish. And if it gets too big and the owners don't want it anymore, it's often illegally released into a local stream or lake.
There are many, many problems with this entire mentality.
This is going to be an extremely brief overview of goldfish care. If you're considering getting one, please do your research before buying, because I guarantee it's more complicated than you think it is. Do not rely on pet store employees to know everything--they may be new, they may be filling in from another section, they may have zero interest in fish and only spit out the company line, they may still be learning and make mistakes.
Goldfish are a species of carp from China. If you get tired of your fish, please rehome it or donate it to an aquatic life rescue. Do not release it; it's invasive and will destroy the local ecosystem. We already have too many to deal with as it is.
Likewise, this fish shouldn't die after after a few months. With proper care, they can live 10+ years.
So then, what constitutes "proper care"?
Let's start with the tank. Do not place your goldfish in a dinky, 1-gallon bowl. Those things are incapable of supporting a filter or air pump, and getting the water balance correct is extremely difficult. Most people do this, and their fish dies within months. An experienced hobbyist could probably keep it alive for a few years--5 max.
For smaller species meant to live in a tank, they should be provided 10-20 gallons per fish.
Read that again.
PER
FISH.
They are not necessarily schooling fish. They're fine either alone or in a group. That's a big tank to deal with, so if you're just starting out and are determined to get a goldfish, get a smaller species and a 10 gallon tank. They even sell kits. If properly kept, these guys can live up to 10 years.
Then there are larger species. These ones can get up to 18 inches and should live in ponds. The goldfish you see at fairs? The feeder fish you see in pet stores? These are the ones that get enormous. If they're kept in a properly maintenanced pond, they can live 15-20 years, and there have been reports of longer--the oldest recorded was 43, according to Guinness.
Whichever method you decide to use, make sure to regularly test your water so you can keep on top of any problems that might develop. Keep an eye on the temperature, because they're cool water fish--you don't want it getting too much higher than maybe 70F. And they prefer slower currents.
So what do goldfish eat?
Goldfish are omnivores. If you're keeping a tank variety and want something shelf-stable, then goldfish pellets are often preferable to flakes; flakes don't sink, and a goldfish that takes in too much air can develop a swim bladder disorder.
You can supplement the fish food with other things, like live or frozen brine shrimp, or vegetables. An adult fish can be fed once per day, but the fish you see in pet shops or have delivered from a private breeder are not adults--they're babies, and they need to be fed several times a day so they can grow properly. The feeding instructions given on fish food often assume you're feeding an adult.
Is your head spinning yet?
I'm not one of those people who insist there are "good" and "bad" starter pets. You should start with whatever fascinates you the most. That fascination will get you through all the research and care requirements.
But goldfish are definitely a challenging starter pet. Again, I urge potential owners to do their research. Make sure you're willing to do everything that's required. Familiarize yourself with potential problems.
And if you decide to do it anyway? I wish you the best of luck and many happy years with your new fish!

I know the comic piracy debate is a never-ending cycle, but in India where I live, you can't get western comics (or manga for that matter). There aren't comic book stores. Sometimes on Amazon you can find collected editions worth more than INR 1000 at least, for the paperbacks. Most older collections, even from the early 2000s, will be upwards of INR 6000. And sure, it's because the exchange value is so low for Indian rupees, but that's still a LOT of money to Indian citizens. You can get digital editions of random odd issues for approx. INR 150, so that's there. But overall it's really a huge investment to buy a physical comic. So yes, I pirate. But I get so guilty when this debate rolls around, every time. I just don't see any other alternative.
I debated whether or not to answer this considering I haven't really addressed the comics piracy issue before so I'm not sure I'm the right account to talk about it, and also because my askbox is not a confessional and I am not a priest, but then some Spider-Man news broke that I feels ties into it this so whatever, we're going for it. The comics piracy debate comes up every couple of months and will probably continue to come up every couple of months until forever and all of these points have been stated before by others because nothing in this debate is new. First things first, you shouldn't feel guilty. I'm going to suggest actually that nobody should feel guilty, unless you are like, a millionaire and you're exclusively pirating indie books. The prices you're quoting are prohibitively expensive but I have some unfortunate news for everyone involved: the prices are really bad in the US, too. If you want good collected editions, especially in hardcover, they're going to run at similar if not quite equal prices. Comics have gone from a cheap hobby to an overwhelmingly expensive hobby.
This is a good article comparing to the cover costs of American comics since the 1960s adjusted for inflation which I think puts some things in perspective. Comics currently cost roughly $5 USD per issue, which doesn't sound that bad, even though most of my monthly streaming services are roughly that price for a whole month's access to a library of content. But it only doesn't sound that bad if you're not buying special issues (the Marvel Pride book retailed for $10), and if you're only reading one or two books a month. The problem is, American superhero comics are specifically designed so you're not reading just one or two books per month -- this is why we have events! And crossovers! Not for the story potential but because it forces the consumer to purchase more product. This is why there's constantly an event running with a checklist of tie-in issues in the back. So now you're spending probably at least $20 a month. If you're a fan with a lot of interest in different titles, and in different publishers, this can easily hit triple USD digits. It's a money pit. It's not affordable to most people. And this is where that new Spider-Man news comes in, because it was announced today that Amazing Spider-Man is going back to a thrice monthly schedule like it used to operate on during Brand New Day. Which sounds good at first -- more comics, yay -- until you realize that's probably going to be $15 USD a month for a one title. That's $180 a year for one title, not including annuals or special issues. That's not feasible for a lot of fans -- young fans, poor fans, fans with other financial obligations etc. And most people aren't reading just one title. I don't know how the X-Men fans are currently financing their Krakoa habit and I'm afraid to ask. There are services like Marvel Unlimited, which make things slightly more affordable, but I imagine the wait for newer issues to hit the service can be alienating for some fans who want to join in current discussions, the library has some incredibly massive holes in it which is unacceptable when it's coming from inside the mouse house, and I believe, although I could be wrong, that it is not available in all countries. Comics are no longer an easily accessible hobby, if you're paying for everything you read.
"But the creatives deserve to get paid" is the common argument and yeah, they do, I'm not arguing that point. They should absolutely get paid and they should get well. I'm a writer, I'm a published writer even, and I want to be a published novelist, and I definitely want to get paid, and I'm reserving the right to be a complete hypocrite about this, as I do with everything in my life, but this is where the difference between indie publications and Marvel publications comes in: Marvel is owned by Disney. There is absolutely no excuse for Disney not to pay their creatives. If they are not getting paid fairly, it's not because you pirated a book -- it's because Disney has a vested interest in not paying their creators, as evidenced by Alan Dean Foster's lawsuit claiming that they are withholding royalties from him. Fans pirating these books are not the reason the creatives are not getting paid fairly -- the creatives are not getting paid fairly for the same reason that Disney park employees experience homelessness, and it's because Disney would rather put that money into the pockets of their executives. There is no debate on that subject. It's easier and perhaps more convenient to blame fans for pirating comics rather than putting all of their money into what has been for years now a prohibitively expensive hobby to keep up with, but the fact of the matter is Disney could pay all of their creatives what they're worth without hurting their bottom line and instead chooses not to. That is not on you, as an individual reader. You have no reason to feel guilty about that, no matter what your circumstances are, and you do not have to justify your actions to either me or the House of the Mouse. I'm with you, and Disney ultimately doesn't care. They're making that money up elsewhere and then not distributing it fairly to the people who create the properties their media empire is built off of. But especially if you're buying older books, you should know that your money is not going to the creative team -- once it's out of publication, they're not going to get any of the money you spent on it. The argument then becomes that you should be supporting local comics stores which yes, is true, but also doesn't apply to everyone, like anon who doesn't have access to local comic book stores. And again, this can become prohibitively expensive -- collections are expensive. Older, hard to find collections can be very expensive. Once something is out of print, all bets are off on what it might be selling for. Buying single issues is only affordable if the single issue isn't desirable or sometimes if it's in exceedingly bad condition. For the sake of transparency, I have a fairly big single issue collection because it's my preferred format, but I had the time to bargain hunt, access to local comic book stores and large comic conventions, and I'm very good at sniping eBay auctions. The most I have ever dropped on a single issue was expensive for me -- and still under three digits USD -- and it's for an issue from the '60s that is not in great condition.
The problem with this debate is that it is generally a nuanced issue that always gets boiled down to "piracy bad" in a way that makes a lot of well meaning and well intentioned fans, especially the ones with extenuating circumstances, feel bad. It's not your fault. You shouldn't feel guilty. There are a huge amount of reasons why someone might pirate something that are not bad reasons and do not make you a bad person who is personally withholding money from the creators -- because you're not. I don't publicly tell people where to pirate comics, mostly because I really don't think it's that hard to find out for yourselves especially because several creators involved with Marvel themselves have, I suspect accidentally, posted pages of their work to social media WITH THE BANNER OF A WELL KNOWN COMICS PIRACY SITE STILL IN THE IMAGE please learn how to crop, so maybe my standpoint on the issue wasn't well known, but there it is. I think readers should, if they are able to financially and otherwise, support the creators they like, but that it should be acknowledged that this is a more complicated issue than it's commonly made out to be on Twitter and that the largest part of the blame needs to be put on the companies making these comics inaccessible to many and who refuse to pay their creators fairly, not on individual fans. Don't feel guilty, anon.

石田お寿司 12/9/21 stream translation Part 2
This is not the full translation of the stream. I only translated the parts I could understand & interpret or parts I found interesting/important. I’m still a beginner in Japanese, so the translations may not be accurate. If you want to repost, please repost at your own risk.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Someone asked about Choujin X.
I: I’ve given the manuscript for chp 8. It’ll be released in a few days. I don’t really have much to say about this. I wanna write this month’s goals for Osushi. The big plan is to fix(?) chp 8. Then, I wanna release another two chapters this month. Chp 8 has 20 something pages. I want to at least draw the chapters in a weekly pace. What I mean by that is I wanna draw 72 pages per month. If I could draw 72 pages a month, I drew 18 pages per week during Weekly Young Jump too. So, I wanna draw 18 pages per week, which is 72 pages per month. That’s the amount of pages for weekly publication. It’d be nice if I could draw at least this much by myself. If I drew 25 pages weekly for three weeks, It’d have a total of 75 pages. I can currently get it done. If I updated 3 chapters a month, I’d have a total of 70-something pages per month. Then, nobody will complain. It’s not like anyone is complaining. It’s so that I won’t complain to myself. This is directed towards me as a challenge. Of course, it’s okay if I couldn’t do it. It doesn’t matter if I can or can’t, I thought it’s better to have a goal.
C: And the fact that you’re streaming right now is amazing!
I: Right? I spent a lot of time at the end of August doing rectifications, plotting, etc. They’re all important things to do. Since I have a little bit of free time, I thought of streaming.
C: It’s okay to draw the chapters slowly. Do you concern about maintaining the quality?
I: The quality is as usual. I mean, that’s one of the reason. It’s also to match the quality of the work. The drawing style in Choujin X is different, so of course the drawing will be different too. There are things that have changed. I want to match the vibe of the work, and also, I wanna prioritise speed over the quality. By speed, I don’t mean I wanna write them in a hurry. I want them to have a quality that’s easy to balance. I’m still playing around with it.
C: Until what chapters do you plan to release the physical copy?
I: I can just release it. I do have a plan for it, like releasing 2 volumes altogether.
C: I’m okay with anything as long as you don’t collapse later on.
I: You’re exactly right. I’m doing it with ease. So that the serialisation will go well, I’m adjusting my pace. This is just my ideal, but I wanna serialise another manga. It doesn’t have to be serialised, I have another stuff I wanna release. I’m finding the time to make one. If I make it a rule to do other things after I’ve done 75 pages per month, I don’t have to draw more. I could use the time to do other stuffs.
C: Don’t push yourself.
I: I’m not.
C: Are you overworking?
I: Not at all. I have many hands.
C: Did you play JJ?
I: I played the game like hell.
C: Is it easier to not have assisstants?
I: That’s a good question. This is kinda weird, people say that your work will progress more if you have more assistants, but that’s not the case. I did TG without knowing that. People will ask you to check on their works. So, the more the people, the more the workload. There’s probably an appropriate number of people you should have. 4 people would probably be enough during TG. But there were more people, like the helpers, but they did regularly help. It was quite a lot. I won’t be able to do my own work when there’s a lot of staffs. I don’t have assistants for choujin X so that I can do it with ease, and umm… It’s the fastest way for me. Of course, I do think the quality of the work will increase if there are staffs. I’m trying to see if I can speed up my work to a certain extent without having to check on others’ works and consider about other people, while creating the quality contents I’m capable of.
C: Working alone or with assistants finish faster?
I: It depends on the stuffs you’re making. For choujin x, I think it’d be hard for me to draw them if I had assistants. It’ll be great if we can have divisions.
C: Are you gonna hire a care assistant? (t/n: The Japanese word is Meshistant, which means assistant who mainly takes care of the mangaka’s meal, chore, etc. So, I just put it as care assistant.)
I: Definitely no. I didn’t let my assistants do the chore. I even cleaned the toilet myself. I kinda hate it. I hate the label they give to such people. Meshistant. I don’t like people who call them that. I don’t mean you. I probably won’t be fond of mangakas who use that word. They’re your staffs, right?
C: Do you think of the story all by yourself?
I: Yeah. Sometimes I do get ideas from my surrounding. But, most of it came from mine.
(t/n: I’m not sure if the last sentence is correct. I couldn’t really understand what he meant, but it’s something like that.)
C: I’m having a hard time to sleep. Recommend ways for me to sleep well.
I: Probably read books. It can make your eyes feel tired. Then, maybe by not sleeping? But you might think it’s better to sleep. I understand. I wanna keep trying to fall asleep, but then I’ll watch movies while lying down. I have trouble sleeping lately. I used to sleep a lot.
C: Meshistant is also an honourable job.
I: Then, why not just hire people who specialised in that. Like housekeepers. They have that, right? Something like a home helper. That is better, isn’t it? Using assistants who’re enthusiastic to draw manga to do stuffs like that is awkward for me.
*Someone commented about hiring maid.
I: Maid? Then, I’d like that. Hahaha. Should I hire a maid? I’m recruiting maids.
C: Even at the age of 250,000, you still have trouble falling asleep.
I: Yeah.
C: Are they hired to make meals?
I: Yeah. There’s various types of assistant in the manga industry. This one refers to an assistant in charge of meals.
I: What did I wanna talk about? Oh yeah, about Animal Rap. I’m thinking whether or not I should upload animal rap video during stream, but where is the file? I’ve decided to upload it after this stream ends. What was it that I wanna talk about? Can you tell me about my current status, such as about the Sui exhibition in Osaka and Nagoya, or about Ms. Towada’s illustrations?
C: How about a live rap?
I: Good idea.
C: About the plan for 30,000 subscribers.
I: That’s right 2x. We’re talking about what to do to celebrate 30,000 subscribers.
C: I can be your maid for free.
I: I’ll definitely pay you. If it’s for free, then you won’t feel your sense of duty. I’ll give a huge salary and pressure you so that you’ll work responsibly.
C: Ms. Towada can both write novels and draw. Amazing!
I: I also can. Hahaha. I also…ah, but I can’t write novels. I won’t lose to her.
C: Do you have double eyelids.
I: Mine is hidden one.
C: Appear in First Take.
I: I won’t.
C: Are your eyelashes long?
I: Yes. My eyelashes are long, I have hidden double eyelids, I am of medium build…but I’m already worn-out.
(t/n: He used the word ‘boroboro’. I couldn’t really find the proper word to translate it in this context. Worn-out is the only one I could think of that suits the context.)
C: Are you handsome?
I: Well…I’m pretty good looking.
C: Have you been going to the gym?
I: No, I haven’t, since I was busy with work. I wanna go though.
C: I wanted to go to Mr. Kunimitsu’s concert.
I: Me too.
C: Which one is more handsome? You or Kaneki?
I: Wouldn’t that be Kaneki?
C: How about another stream with Ms. Towada?
I: I re-listened to the stream with Ms.Towada. For some reason, she was laughing a lot in the stream. Though she always like that. It’s slightly embarrassing. She’s acting like she’s at home. It felt like she’s disclosing my family situation, so it’s a bit..., but I can do that again from time to time. When I wanna do something related to JJ, then I’ll call her. Thats the most suitable content.
*Someone asked him to invite his younger sister.
I: It’s impossible to invite my younger sister.
*People wanted Goubaru to be the guest.
C: Goubaru, huh?
C: Do you have someone you wanna invite?
I: No, I don’t. The corona is one thing, but I’m completely okay with not meeting people. I do talk to people I’m close with. I think that’s already enough. It’s not like I have someone I’m involved with. I do usually talk to Mr. Kunimitsu.
*People want Hanae Natsuki again.
I: Hanae? That’s definitely impossible.
*He’s talking about Japanese youtubers.
C: Can you beat boxing?
I: I’m practising at the moment.
*Currently taking about Japanese artists.
* Someone asked who he thinks could be the next popular artist.
I: Lately, I only listen to instrumentals. The one that I like recently is the girl band called Chai. The group’s vocalists are twins. The group is great. It’s not like I like the band because there’s someone who caught my intention. I listened to their songs first before I decided whether I liked them or not. I thought this kind of voice also exists.
C: Congrats for TG’s 10th anniversary.
I: Thank you. Thank you to Brazil as well. (t/n: Someone commented Brazil.)
*He pinned his Chai comment.
C: People who just came don’t understand what’s going on.
I: It’s okay if you don’t. Hehe.
C: Sensei, can you eat choco mint?
I: I can.
C: I thought the bgm was from Animal Crossing.
I: This is Yorushika’s Escape.
*Still talking about Japanese artists.
C: Have you seen Midsummer?
I: Yes, I have.
(t/n: He said something about the new evangelion movies. But I couldn’t really translate that part properly. He basically watched the Rebuild Evangelion movies from the start since he never watched it before. He planned to go to Yamaguchi prefecture, the birthtown of Evangelion’s author to watch the last movie.)
Y****: I’m reading Toro Hedoro! I recommend it!
I: I do read that. Don’t underestimate me! I do read One Piece as well, but half-way through.
C: You can watch the Evangelion movie on Amazon Prime.
I: I wanna watch the final movie at the cinema. Has the final movie come out? It has? But I’m still gonna watch at the cinema.
C: Have you read Tokyo Ghoul?
I: Nope.
C: I recommend Tokyo Ghoul!
I: Is that so? I have a story regarding TG, but it’s probably gonna be quite deep.
C: One Piece has reached 100 volumes!
I: That guy and Odacchi have reached 100 volumes, right? Hahaha. That guy is Luffy, while Odacchi is Oda sensei. Hahaha. I can’t call him that. Odacchi is Oda sensei and Kishikage is Kishimoto sensei. I see, that guy has reached 100 volumes? Way to go! Hahaha! No one is watching this anyway. I’ll properly lick his boots if he’s in front of me, since he’s the real deal. I’ll be very obedient and sucking up to him.
(t/n: Ishida was using the word ‘aitsu’ to refer Eichiro Oda. As far as I know, it’s an impolite way of calling someone older or in higher status than you in Japan.)
C: He’s scarier than Hikakin (a Japanese youtuber.)
I: Right. We are in the same industry after all. But I think Young Jump and Jump are different subsidiaries. Although, Hara sensei seems to have met with Odacchi, so maybe there’ll be an opportunity for me to meet him. But probably no. Someone like me won’t be able to meet Eichiro Oda sensei. I won’t meet him. He seems like a unique person.
*Ishida talking about an illustrator and youtuber called Saito Naoki.
(t/n: I couldn’t translate the first half of this part because they’re talking about something that had happened, and I don’t know the context of it.)
I: The name ‘Saito Naoki’ is very nice. Is it a pen name? It totally sounds like a real name though.
C: Are you close with Kishida Mel? (t/n: Kishida Mel is an illustrator and a character designer.)
I: I’ve never met him, but Kiyoppi, Kiyohara Hiro sensei and Melcchi are good friends. He’s like a friend of my friend. You have things like that, right?
C: The name ‘Ishida Sui’ is cool!
I: I seriously wanna change my pen name. I wanna change to something like Gengoro. I wanna change to a manlier name. I didn’t give a thought about my name before. I used that name because I thought I was gonna be famous in the future, so I didn’t wanna use my real name. I seriously thought that I couldn’t become a mangaka if my real name was exposed. I was like “Since I’m gonna be famous, let’s avoid using my real name.” I was being vigilant about it, so I half-heartedly named my pen name.
I: The name Gengoro is nice. Tagami Gengoro. Tokyo Ghoul’s author, Tagami Gengoro. The Tokyo Ghoul’s author, Tagami Gengoro’s exhibition is now open. I’d definitely sounds like a bearded fatty. With round glasses to top it off. Isn’t Tagami Gengoro a character from a gay manga?
*Ishida searching for Tagami Gengoro.
I: Everyone, don’t search for it. I’m scared something dirty will appear. Is it not? Oh, it isn’t. what’s the name again? There is a character named something Gengoro, right? It’s Tagame Gengoroh! I got it now! Tagame Gengorohw as born in 1964 and a Japanese mangaka. He calimed himself to be a ‘Gay Erotic Artist’. This is the one! It’s Tagame Gengoroh sensei.
*Ishida was looking at Tagame Gengoroh sensei’s illustrations.
I: This one. Wow, this is indeed gay! Hahaha.
C: I can’t believe it came out of your mouth.
I: Surprisingly, I do talk about these kind of stuffs. (t/n: I mean, he’s the man who wrote a whole R-18 chapter.)
I: So, I can’t use the name Gengoro, since there’s someone with this name.
C: Is the name ‘Ishida Sui’ an anagram of your Surname?
I: Yes, it is.
C: Are you gay?
I: Hahaha! Even if that’s true, you didn’t have to ask that kind of question! Let’s just say that I’m okay with both.
C: Kuso Miso. (t/n: Kusomiso is a gay manga.)
I: Of course, I’d be reading them (probably referring to gay manga). I mean, manga like Kuso Miso Technique are popular, right?
C: Ishida GayGoro.
I: Hahaha. That’s just gay.
C: You’ve been to a gay bar before, right?
I: Not at all. When I was hanging out with the staffs, Goubaru said he wanted to go to a Okama bar while crying.
(t/n: According to the internet, Okama is a term referring to guys who adapted female characteristics.)
C: I think it’s completely normal to be gay nowadays.
I: We’re talking about gay now. It’s not normal in the first place. It’s just a sexual orientation. If you pick on every little thing, everything will become a problem. Those who deliberately say they’re not prejudiced against gays are actually are. Even if you tell that to people, they’ll probably filter what they wanna say. They’d be conscious of every single thing they say. Things like that don’t matter.
C: Sensei, let’s talk about something else.
I: Why? I’m okay with it.
C: I’m bi.
I: Does it matter? It’s okay.
C: It’s difficult to say something regarding gender issues, right?
I: Well…It’s difficult, since it’s concerning your mindset. It doesn’t only apply to gender issues; you can hurt someone by making careless remarks.  It’s just that you sometimes accidentally let out your opinions. I also think I sometimes make unnecessary remarks, so I might do that.
C: I want to be embraced by Masataka Kubota. (t/n: Masataka Kubota is a Japanese actor who played as Kaneki in the live-action.)
I: That’s right. Must be nice. I want us to embrace each other.

NCTzen! The second part of the RESONANCE era is right around the corner, and considering the achievements of the first part, we hope your spirits have been lifted. Here are some goals which we can work towards in order to make this part equally―if not more―successful than the first! At the same time, we’d like to emphasize that this shouldn’t pressure you but merely add to the excitement, so make sure to prioritize your wellbeing at all times and get in on the fun when you have the time.
👉 Youtube | Goal: 10M views, 1M likes, 250k comments
Please know that YouTube has become a lot stricter in recent years and invalidates a lot more views than they did before. Hence keep in mind the following when streaming the upcoming NCT 2020 music videos:
Do NOT use any unapproved tricks or extensions (Adblock, Auto Refresh, etc)!
Manually stream music videos. This means watching about 5 to 8 times until the end of a video, closing the video and watching other videos in between (i.e. NCT U ‘Make A Wish (Birthday Song)’ MV) before repeating this process again.
Use a playlist only when you can’t manually stream. The playlist must consist of at least two other videos in order to not look like spam!
Don’t watch in incognito mode or log out of your account.
You must watch the music video from SMTOWN’s or NCT’s official YouTube channel!
Like, comment and share the video!
👉 Spotify | Goal: 350k plays, Top 200 in more than 10 countries
Spotify streams are fairly straightforward. Just keep in mind that paid subscriptions count for more units per listen, and that illegal streams on any platform are obviously not counted. Other than that, replay as often as you want!
👉 iTunes | Goal: No.1 in more than 30 countries, No.1 Worldwide Album, Top 20 Worldwide Song
Purchase all tracks individually. Every 10 songs are equivalent to 1 album sale!
Only purchase the title track individually if you can’t afford purchasing the whole album separately.
After buying the song, delete it from your library and don’t download it again. Streaming has to be done manually for it to count!
👉 Shazam | Goal: 5K shazams
Download the app: [ App Store | Play Store ]
Open the Shazam app and play ‘90′s Love’ on another device.
Tap to ‘Shazam’ the song and wait for it to recognize it.
Repeat this a few times a day and delete your history every now and again!
👉 Trends | Goal: No.1 trending on Youtube, Twitter and Weibo, No.1 Real-time Search on Naver
Most of these are pretty straightforward, but we’ll elaborate on Naver specifically as it’s not as commonly used amongst international fans!
Go to the website: https://www.naver.com/
Enter NCT, NCT 2020, or the title track in question into the search bar.
Click on a related article or blog entry and stay on the page for at least 10 seconds.
Repeat this however many times with a variety of related keywords and articles.
Want to know more? Go to our support guide where we explain in detail how music shows work and in what other ways you can support NCT. If you have any concerns, feedback or questions, feel free to send us an ask and we’d love to help. Happy streaming!

🌸 Updates and FAQs for Watching the TGCF Donghua! 🌸
✴️First, check out my detailed guide HERE if you want to know how to subscribe to YouTube or Bilibili!
Please read through these if you have any questions first before sending in an ask, as it's probably answered here (or the previous guide)!!! If you don't see it here, or still have confusions afterwards, then feel free to send in an ask or DM me!
---
✨Important Notes/Updates✨
Bilibili is allowing non-members to watch for free! No region locks, and you don’t even need to make an account. Free watchers will be one week behind paid members. But this is a legal and free way to support the donghua if you’re unable to pay! (This actually means that you’ll be able to see the episodes faster and for free on Bilibili than you would on YouTube, because YouTube has a two week delay instead of just one week.)
Funimation is broadcasting TGCF in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. These are some of the regions which are blocked by YouTube, so this is an available alternative for those who don’t want to go through Bilibili. They have also stated they will launch in Mexico and Brazil this winter.
ALL broadcasts are in Chinese with hard-coded/embedded English and Chinese subs. (I.e., they come with the broadcast itself, on top of the image. Nothing to toggle on/off, they are automatically there.) They are the exact same across all the platforms.
Please support official releases so that we can get more seasons, and high quality! This is still niche content, believe it or not!

✨Frequntly Asked Questions✨
🔹GENERAL FAQs:🔹
1.) "Where is the best place to watch?"
I still reccomend Bilibili's native website/app over all other streaming platforms. This is due to some key points:
Bilibili's website/app gets the episode the very second they drop. There is no delay whatsoever. YouTube and Funimation have been delayed the last two weeks. It's unknown if this is just a hiccup or what, but if watching new episodes ASAP is important to you, going through Bilibili ensures you will not have to worry about any uncertainty.
Price breakdowns: Bilibili's website/app 3-month membership is $10-11 USD. Their YouTube channel's "MBBM Lv2" membership varies by region, but in many places is similar or just a tad more. In the US, the MBBM Lv2 membership and Funimation membership is the same price ($5.99 per month, or $17.97 for 3 months). So you can actually save some cash by going through Bilibili directly.
In the end, this is largely up to personal choice and comfort. Some people may find it difficult to navigate Bilibili's website even with guides and google translate's auto-translate feature. In this case, YouTube or Funimation are fine alternatives. If you also have an existing Funimation sub or plan to use it to watch other shows, then that's perfectly valid too. Similar with the MBBM lv2 sub on YouTube, especially if you want to use it to see other shows (e.g. Legend of Exorcism which is only English-subbed on YouTube).
2.) "Where do I watch for free?"
On Bilibili's website, you can watch episodes for free! You will be one episode behind paid members, but it's a legal way to support the donghua. You don't even need to create an account!
3.) "What episode will be airing when/where?"
Check out the table below for the differences in airing times. Time is 11AM China Time.*
Tumblr media
NOTE: Funimation is technically supposed to be the same as Bilibili members/YouTube MBBM Lv2, but the last few episodes have been delayed so I have no clue.... *Additionally, YouTube's episodes have been delayed by a little bit, but they've aired the same day.
4.) "How can I support the donghua?"
Free, on YouTube: Subscribe to Bilibili's YouTube Channel, give likes to TGCF videos/clips, and leave nice comments!
Free, on Bilibili: Everyone can follow the official TGCF account and page, plus leave likes on videos. All this following stuff requires you to have passed the Bilibili quiz to unlock levels: If you are lv2+, you can leave comments and give coins to offical TGCF videos. (Log in daily to get 1 coin/day if you're lv1+!) If you are lv4+, leave a good 5-star review!
Paid: Buy subscriptions to watch the donghua! Also, merchhhhh~
---
🔸YOUTUBE-RELATED FAQs🔸
1.) "What's the difference between Bilibili's YouTube Channel's MBBM Lv1 and Lv2 memberships?"
MBBM Lv2 allows you to watch the episodes on the same day as Bilibili's website broadcast.
MBBM Lv1 has new episodes delayed by one week, meaning you will be one episode behind the others. There actually is zero point in subscribing to MBBM Lv1 (unless you want to watch other subbed donghua) because you can watch the same content on Bilibili for absolutely free, since Bilibili is allowing non-members to watch TGCF one episode behind paid members.
You can also watch two episodes behind on YouTube.
2.) "If I have YouTube Premium/Red, do I still need a membership on Bilibili's YouTube page?"
Yes. YouTube premium is completely separate from the channel-specific memberships.
3.) "Are episodes simulcast on YouTube?"
While originally stated as being simulcast, there actually seems to be a bit of a delay on YouTube as of now. It's unclear if this will change with future episodes.
4.) "Do I need a VPN?"
If you are from one of the restricted countries, then yes, you'll need to use a VPN. You can still pay for the subscription as normal, and then use a VPN to watch the donghua. It will not affect payment.
---
🔹BILIBILI-RELATED FAQs:🔹
1.) "Do I need to take that 100-question quiz to sign up for Bilibili or the membership?!"
No, it's totally optional! You do not need it to either watch the free episodes or to buy a membership. It's only if you want to comment and stuff. It might make you think you gotta do it, or enter a code, but it's actually not needed. Check out THIS post for more info!!! (However, you may still want to do it in order to level up and eventually leave a nice review for the donghua!)
2.) "I'm only able to watch 6min on Bilibili's website when I watch from my phone. Do I need the app?"
You do not need the app. Switch your browser to Desktop Mode in order to watch the video in full.
Be sure to download a browser like Google Chrome, Firefox, etc that supports this mode if your native browser doesn't allow for it.
3.) "Can I get the app on iPhone/iOS?"
This depends on if you are in a country where the app is not region locked in the app store. If you're able to download it that way, great! If not, try using a VPN and setting your region to mainland China. It may work. APKs are not useable on iPhones, so unless you know how to sideload apps onto your device, you may be stuck with the app store only.
Do note that you might be unable to pay for a Bilibili membership through the app, depending on version, but you can always simply pay through the website and then use the app as normal. It will apply account-wide on all devices.
4.) "Why are there two versions of the app?"
One seems to be the international version, which is more basic and lets you pay via GooglePay/ApplePay. The other one seems to be made for mainland China, and allows you to even buy merchandise through it (Chinese address/bank acc required). Mostly, both have to be downloaded via APK on Android. But some iOS users have reported different versions of the app being available for them through the app store (namely the int'l ver, and some have said they can use a VPN to get the mainland one).
5.) "Is there any benefit to having the app over just using the website?"
Not really, no. With the app you can buy very cute hualian themed skins for your profile, though (if you have the mainland version of the app). Plus you can save videos for offline viewing.
6.) "Do I need to enter my area code for Bilibili when signing up/in?"
NO, you do not enter your area code in the phone number field. Select your country from the drop-down list and it will automatically consider your area code. (E.g. if you're in America, select 美国 and enter in your number like 5557779999.)
7.) "I didn't get to set a password when signing up, so how do I log into my Bilibili account after being logged out?"
Use the same phone number you did to sign up. Instead of a password, you'll enter in a one-time key that is sent to your phone via text message. (NOTE: some people have reported not receiving these messages, which may vary by phone carrier!)
Tumblr media
As mentioned above, don't include your area code when filling out your number.
Also, if you are signed in on the app on your phone, you can scan the QR code on the log-in page through the app.
8.) "How do I turn off the barrage comments filling up the video I'm watching?"
Select the little button that reads "弹" under the video:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Website vs App)
9.) Is the Bilibili subscription auto-renewing?
No, the 1-month (¥25), 3-month (¥68), 1-year (¥168) subscriptions will not automatically renew. They are a one-time payment only!
Notice that the renewing payments all say "连续" in front of them, which means "continuing" or "successive" types of subscriptions. They are also cheaper than the one-time payment. (E.g. the renewing 3-month sub is ¥45 instead of ¥68.) Moreover, the renewing types are not even available to purchase with PayPal, afaik. You need Alipay or WeChat Pay, etc.
10.) "Can I use the app/membership to read the manhua too?"
Unfortunately, not quite! Your Bilibili account is universal, but you'll need to download the manhua app seperately and topping up M-coins to pay for the manhua. (One-time purchases, either by volume or by chapter as per your choice.)
11.) "What resolutions are available?"
You can watch up to 480p as a free member. Paid members can watch at 1080p and high-bit-rate 1080p. It's possible to chromecast it to TV, too. (I haven't tried it, but others have!)
12.) "Can I watch across multiple devices?"
Yes, you can!
13.) "Do I need a VPN?"
No, Bilibili is not region-locked. However, some particular countries may have Chinese apps blocked.... :(
14.) "I want to leave a comment/review. How do I level up on Bilibili?"
Log in daily, watch at least one video per day, give coins (attained by logging in) to your fave videos, etc! It will definitely take a while haha.
15.) "Will I be able to watch other donghua like MDZS or SVSSS with my membership on Bilibili?"
No, those two donghuas are produced by TenCent, not Bilibili. You will need either a TenCent/WeTV account, or you can watch them on their YouTube channel (free).
---
🔸FUNIMATION-RELATED FAQs🔸
1.) "Is Funimation's broadcast a simulcast?"
It is supposed to be, according to their initial announcements. They seem to be having some technical difficulties, but those may be resolved soon. I suggest keeping an eye on their twitter for updates if you are interested in watching through them!
2.) "Do I have to pay extra on my Funimation sub to watch TGCF?"
No, afaik, the regular $5.99 sub covers TGCF too.
---
I hope this helps out people further, so we can all have an easy time watching the donghua! And please do support it legally! 🙏
If you still need help, feel free to send in an ask!

Evan Week - 7 Days of loving Buck
(Beginning) (Previous Day)
Day 7: Free Day
10 reasons why we love Evan Buckley. (bear with me on this one, it kind of got away from me a bit)
“Hey Cap, have you heard from Buck? Is he working today?”
The last anyone had heard from him was two days ago when they had their last shift before having two days off. Their last call was a rough one; more so for Buck than anyone. He had been trapped with a young teenager who was heavily injured when the house collapsed around her. Buck was the only one to make it to her before the building became unstable and sealed off any entry points before anyone else could join them.
There was some kind of interference messing with their radios, so they weren’t entirely sure what happened in that period of radio silence, all they knew was that it was bad. By the time they had cleared a path to them, it was too late. They found Buck completely distraught with tears streaming down his face while covered in blood, cradling her body as he rocked back and forth.
By the time they were back in the ladder truck, Buck had all but shut down. His pain was palpable as he stared down at his bloodied hands while they drove back to the firehouse and no matter what they said he barely reacted. Their shift had ended by the time they were back at the station and Buck had vanished as soon as he had put his gear away.
Bobby shrugged his shoulders, “He said he was coming in.”
It wasn’t just that he disappeared from work without a word of farewell to anyone, but he also stopped answering his phone. Hen and Bobby had even stopped by his apartment the following day to check up on him, much like what they did for Bobby after the plane crash.
Buck wasn’t home. His bed was made, his work bag left by the door and his truck was still parked at the apartment, he simply dropped off the face of the earth. They were all beyond worried for him, Maddie especially - knowing that this wasn’t the first time something this had happened, she just wasn’t sure what he’d be like when he returned. The only text he answered in that time was one from Bobby saying he’ll see him at work, so at the very least they knew he was still alive.
As if saying his name had caused him to appear, Eddie spots Buck walking slowly between the trucks to the locker room. He quietly gestures to the others who were in the kitchen and they all move to rail to watch him. He looked haggard and withdrawn to say the least; his hair wasn’t smoothed back in its usual fashion, a shadow of a beard was developing and even from this distance they could see the dark circles under his eyes as if he didn’t sleep a wink, which was probably true.
Hen looks to the others worry clear on her face, “Guys, I think I have an idea that might help him.” After telling them her plan, they were all quick to get on board.
Buck was tired. Exhausted, actually. Every time he closed his eyes, he was back with Mia. He did what he could to keep her awake, to keep her alive but it was already a losing battle by the time he made it to her in the first place. Massive blood loss was the cause of death. And all he could do was talk to her until her dying breath.
He’s sure the reason he was so affected by her passing was the fact that she was so young, only sixteen years old and already wise beyond her years. She knew she was dying by the time he found her, and it was something that she had accepted. Instead of panicking, she told him all about her family and how much she loved them. As he held his hands against the gaping wound in her side, Buck promised her that he’d tell them.
She was quiet for a bit and must have read him like a book after something in his troubled face, of how much this was going to weigh on him because with the last of her strength she placed a hand over his and says her last words. “Don’t let my death…be the cause of your suffering…don’t forget…the reason…why you do this job.” She passed away beneath his hands only a few moments after that. He promised her he would, even if she couldn’t hear it.
In the time after while he waited for the others, he lets himself fall apart and mourn her passing. On the trip back to the station he resolutely plans to fulfill both his promises to Mia, something that he knew he had to do alone--
Buck is brought back to the present by a hand on his shoulder. It’s Bobby, he leans against his locker trying to appear nonchalant, but Buck can see the concern in his eyes.
“You doing okay? We haven’t heard from you in a while.”
He shrugs and looks away, “I’m fine.”
“Buck…” He hears the warning in Bobby’s tone and quickly backpedals, “Okay, I’m not fine per se, but I will be, I just-I just need to be working instead of wallowing in my thoughts.”
“Alright. That’s all I needed to know.” Bobby moves closer and lightly ruffles his hair before moving to the door, “Just so you know, we’re all here for you, don’t be afraid to lean on us.”
Buck sniffs, and nods his head still looking at the floor, “Yeah, I know. Thanks, Cap.”
“Okay then. Breakfast is on that table if you want any.” And then he’d gone.
Buck peers up at his locker and frowns, there’s a sticky note that wasn’t there a moment ago.
10 reasons why we love Evan Buckley.
1.       He’s a true firefighter in and out of the uniform.
His brow knits in puzzlement as he looks out past the glass door, knowing that Bobby was the one who put it on his locker. He appreciates the sentiment, understanding what they’re trying to do without smothering him. However, he keeps to himself during their shift, still not entirely willing to be around the other and their concerned looks and questioning eyes just because of a sticky note.
Over the rest of the shift, he continues to find the rest of the series, hidden and not so hidden throughout the firehouse. And he’d be lying if said it didn’t help make getting through the day easier.
The next note he finds was trapped between the pages of the stocktake checklist – one of his set jobs for the day. Buck smiles down at it, somewhat pleased that he wasn’t just annoying them all with those little factoids, regardless of childish complaints that were made.
Reason #2 – We love that he teaches us something everyday with fun facts from whatever he’s been researching.
The third one was attached to his helmet and he had to quickly slide it into a pocket for safekeeping before getting a chance to read it. It was a grueling call but luckily everyone made it out safely.
Buck almost forgot about the little note trapped in his pocket and only remembered when he stuffed his hands in his pockets, doing his best not to let his emotions get the best of him. He’s not ashamed to say a little tear managed to break through his mask.
3. We love that he’s selfless and would do anything to help another person
The next one he finds follows closely after reading the third. Buck was in desperate need of a pick-me-up after that last call and coffee would definitely help him with that. The sticky note was attached to his mug.
Number 4 – Even if he doesn’t realise it, he’s amazing around kids.
He rolls his eyes and shakes his head as he prepares the coffee. Almost every time there’s a job that involves young children, he is almost always the one requested to keep them occupied and calm. Not that he’s complaining cause as he said to Eddie when they first met, he loves kids.
5. He’s still a badass under pressure.
Buck chuckles at this one, knowing exactly who came up with it. It was found stuck to his phone after he’d taken a quick nap on the couch. He goes down to his locker to add it to his collection only to find the sixth one resting on top of his gym bag.
6. He would protect anyone he considers family (or anyone else for that matter)
He actually barks out a short laugh in amusement. Yeah, many a time has he been scolded for recklessly protecting someone else and endangering himself in the process.
The seventh note was on the gym equipment, specifically, the punching bag and Buck can’t help but shake his head at the symbolism of it.
#7 – He’s a fighter and always survives whatever life throws at him.
Buck doesn’t see any more notes for a while after that. Admittedly his mood had significantly improved throughout the day and he was more willing to hang out with the others during the shift, at least until a wave of sadness rolls over him and he has to take some time to recollect himself.
The next note he finds is one of those times as it unexpectedly hits him differently from the other, bringing Mia to the forefront of his thoughts. He can’t help but choke back tears as he reads it.
8. We love his innate ability to make a connection with anyone he meets.
It was a little too on the nose from their last shift than the team could have realised. He did not anticipate feeling as closely connected to that young girl in the short time that he knew her. And yet he knows that she’ll always be one of the ones he’ll always remember.
The others must have sensed the change in his mood because the second to last note almost immediately followed the previous one.
Number 9 – He has the biggest heart out of all of us.
He snorts, yeah ain’t that truth. Although he’s pretty sure Hen could give him a run for his money.
Buck finds the last sticky note back where it all began, stuck to his locker at the end of their shift. He feels the team’s presence around him as he reads it and he turns to face them. Each of them were sporting matching grins, an aura of infectious energy surrounding them and Buck can’t help but let it overtake him and returns a wide smile of his own.
He gestures towards them and they all file into the small room, circling him into a big group hug. He feels a sense of peace flow through him at the comfort that they all bring. Yeah, it’ll take him some time to feel alright again, but at least he knows that his family has his back.
10. And most of all we love Evan ‘Buck’ Buckley just for being him.

Looney Tunes on HBO Max Review
Looney Tunes Cartoons (2020)
“Looney Tunes Cartoons” is a new series of Looney Tunes shorts made specifically for HBO Max. Intended to carry on the legacy of the Golden Age, the shorts have returned to seven minutes in length, a live orchestra has been hired to produce each soundtrack, and characters have been reverted to chaotic personalities.
The only season listed here shows ten episodes available to view. Each episode links to an eleven minute video containing two shorts. So 20 shorts in all are available to view at once (contrary to the rumor a handful would be released in weekly installments). This is not counting inbetween animations, which are roughly fifteen second gags bridging the shorts.
The art direction is the first notable thing about these cartoons in my eyes, it is a clear callback to the 1940s golden age. Going further in, one will find that every facet of this cartoon is a  Animation is very good and the orchestration is fantastic, once again from a live orchestra. The writing on this show is storyboard driven, as it was in the original shorts, and allows room for visual gags and physical comedy. The writing evokes the characters original counterparts most convincingly out of anything I’ve seen this past decade. This is a difficult practice, and you can see every facet being done with admiration and enthusiasm.
I’m sure the voice acting helps with that as well, many voices are spot-on, and Eric Bauza’s Bugs Bunny is the closest to Mel Blanc’s I believe I’ve ever heard. Auditory gags, such as giving the cute animal characters a deep shouting voice, return to my great entertainment. Even what appear to be one-off human characters have distinct voices that seem straight out of a golden era cartoon. The amount of consideration, care, and quality in this show is extrodinary.
Tumblr media
How Many Theatrical Shorts are Present?
There are 209 original Looney Tunes shorts are present (one not being theatrical the made-for-TV short Duck Dodgers in Attack of the Drones (2004)) The shorts are broken up over 31 seasons that vary in length from three to twelve episodes per season. Each season features shorts from differing years, although they are listed chronologically.
Season 1 starts with Foxy’s Smile Darn Ya Smile! (1932) and then skips to Hollywood Capers (1935). Interestingly, Smile is listed as episode 1, while Hollywood is listed as episode 4, perhaps implying that two more shorts will be released between them eventually. Each “season” listed has films numbered erratically like this, indication that we may see many more shorts in the future. The longest season lists its last short as “Episode 21″ which may indicate how long seasons can get in the future.
Broken down there are 17 shorts from the 1930s, 78 from the 1940s, 81 from the 1950s, 29 from the 1960s, and 4 from 1987-2004.
Tumblr media
Are  More Modern Television Series Present?
Some of them! All two seasons of the Looney Tunes Show (2011) are present, which I’m most excited about. Additionally, all five seasons of Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries (1995)
There are again, some hangups for me. No other LT TV shows are present besides those. Duck Dodgers (2003) is a TV show I would have been excited to see. Hell, I would have watched Loonatics Unleashed (2005) if I was paying for it.
For fans of the spinoff characters, no Tiny Toon content, Baby Looney Tunes (except for a direct-to-VHS mentioned later), or Animaniacs media is available, the latter coming as a surprise to me due to its upcoming reboot.
It seems however, that they are still adding contnet! There is an HBO Max trailer for Wabbit (2015) available on the service, yet the full series is not currently available. This post may be updated when more content gets released.
Tumblr media
Are Movies and Specials present?
Not really, no. Which is a huge disappointment for me. The two big modern theatrical films are not present: Space Jam (1996) and Looney Tunes: Back in Action (2003) are unavailable to watch. I’m especially surprised about Space Jam, considering the sequel in the works.
Direct-to-VHS Baby Looney Tunes: Musical Adventures (2003) is present, however, if you are inclined to watch that.
Tumblr media
Is it Worth It?
To Support Looney Tunes Cartoons (2020) - 10/10 They deserve your support, please by all means.
To Watch Golden Age Cartoons - 7/10. I’m giving it a seven solely because this is the biggest collection of the classic shorts I have seen on streaming so far. This rating only reflects their current inventory of shorts.
Overall - 6/10. I’m still a little upset at the movies and TV series they are missing. I may have set my expectations too high, but for the high price point, I feel like there are some major gaps in HBO Max’s library. Again, this rating only reflects their current inventory of shorts.
HBO Max gives you a 7-day free trial before you have to start paying monthly. I may cancel during the free period of HBO Max after watching Looney Tunes Cartoons, and seeing some original shorts I haven’t yet. I would recommend doing this for anyone who wants to support the cartoons.

[ARTICLE] BC, DIMENSIONS, AND GOLD STAR ANNOUNCED AS SPONSORS OF SEOUL SPRING FESTIVAL
The Seoul Spring Festival was announced earlier in the year by the local government as a city-wide event taking place from March 30th to April 5th. The city of Seoul will be hosting a number of events over the course of the week, as will private businesses.
Recently, it was announced that entertainment companies BC Entertainment, Dimensions Entertainment, and Gold Star Media will all be sponsoring the festival in part and the idols on each company’s roster will be performing at one of two concerts hosted during the run of the festival. Tickets to the live concert events will cost ₩30000 each and fans unable to attend the live event can access an official live stream of both concerts for ₩15000.
ADMIN NOTES:
The time has come for our next drop event! In something of a spiritual successor to our 2018 Busan Summer Festival event, this is a week-long event in-’verse with several different varied opportunities for interactions.
Everyone under the three companies will be required to participate in their respective concert part of the festival barring extenuating circumstances such as major injury or illness. It must be cleared with the admin if you want your muse to have a plot that will keep them from participating in that portion of this event. Public activities for the event as well as the Pink Party are entirely optional both in and out of character, while the other private and semi-private activities (the cocktail party, the art exhibition, and the charity gala) will be considered optional out of character, but you’re welcome to say your muse was forced to attend by management in-character for the sake of interactions.
Activities marked “semi-private” will be open to only a select guest list, not the public, but some press may be present. Activities marked “private” will be open to a very select guest list and no press will be present.
EVENT DETAILS:
The Seoul Spring Festival takes place in-universe from March 30th to April 5th.
A number of events will take place in Seoul over the span of the week, from fun public events designed to heighten everyone’s spirits to exclusive, private events only the country’s most in-demand citizens such as celebrities and the wealthy have access to. As sponsors of the event, all three companies have allowed their idols some leeway in their schedules to participate in the festival even in their down time.
Muses will have a variety of required schedules throughout the week, but in their downtime, they’re also allowed to spend some time at the festival on their own as long as they follow the normal rules of staying on their best behavior in public. Any music shows taking place on the days of the festival can be assumed to either not interfere with what can be done that day or will be pre-recorded at a more convenient in the morning.
Outside of scheduled events, during the week of the festival, there will be sales at local shops and restaurants and smaller, special spring-themed events at cafes and parks.
The beginning and end of the festival will each be marked with a concert, for which each performer will be dressed in colors and cuts to suit the spring season. The concert set lists and styling can be found HERE.
CHOICE ACTIVITIES:
There are open events on the schedule listed below open to individual muses. This Google Form has been set up for muns to submit for the activity of their choice. At the time of posting, this will be open to one muse per mun only. All spots will be first come-first served from the time the event post goes up since choice activities will not have major career effects.
Keep in mind that canonically, companies would have final say in where their idols are scheduled, so you can request activities that your muse wouldn’t enjoy doing! These are completely optional, but can give you situations to write solos or threads about.
OVERALL:
In game, this event takes place Monday, March 30, to Sunday, April 5, but threads and other posts for this event may be started from Monday, March 23, at the time this post goes up, to Sunday, April 19, at 11:59PM EDT. Threads may be continued past the end date if needed, but must be started before then. Non-event related interactions may of course be conducted during this time as well.
NOTE: All posts related to the event should be tagged #fmdseoulspring.

Summary of RFEF’s Conference about the imminent strike and the rights of Spain’s female players- Part 1
So let me set the scene, it’s the 6th of November 2019, we are in the installations of the Spanish Football Federation in Las Rozas, Madrid. We have just been part of a ceremony celebrating the history of women’s football in Spain under the slogan Somos Por Vosotras (We Are Because of/For You). We cut and we’ve moved to a conference and the mood is suddenly tense and sombre, as if the devil himself was in the room- which he might actually be.
Let me introduce to you the different parties in attendance. Taking up most of the room and sitting at the back (because of course the women may be in the majority and whose lives are being discussed but it’s the men people in suits who hold the power and say) are the players of the Spanish women’s national team, there today on behalf of all of their Primera Iberdrola colleagues. In the front rows we have representatives of the individual clubs and then the three main players, the three who form this love triangle that has got everyone into this mess.
There is the AFE, the trade union that represents all Spanish footballers. They are the ones fighting for the players’ rights, not settling for less and pushing the strike forward (I presume). Then their mortal enemy its in front, RFEF’s stream makes sure to catch him on his phone not paying attention during much of their presentation, the ACFF. They stand for the association for female football clubs, the ones with the interests of the big people in mind, the ones who have given out the TV rights, the group that all clubs are a part of apart from fcb, tacon and athletic de bilbao. And then leading the whole thing is the RFEF, Spain’s Football Federation and governing body for the Sport.
Now the mystery truly commences: which of these parties are telling the truth when they plead their innocence and say how much they’re doing to better women’s football, and which is that reincarnated devil I mentioned at the beginning?
Given that it’s the RFEF who has called the meeting, they take centre stage first. In fact, they’ve decided that to show how on top of things they are they’ve prepared a presentation and everything (10 points for the effort).
Tumblr media
They start off by stating how they’ve been shunned and not included in most of the negotiations, they are so grudging that they have all the dates of when they weren’t listened to neatly lined up like a toddler who’s telling his mum all the exact times she hasn’t let him watch TV. Jokes aside though, it quite clearly explains the chronology of how things have gone about evolving up until having reached this point. Even before what’s shown on the screen they proposed certain initiatives to make sure the sport kept developing but the clubs weren’t willing to listen to their ideas as they were told that they could only talk with the ACFF or they wouldn’t go to the committee. Then on the 25th of February the ACFF openend up a bidding for TV licenses that was to last only 9 days. Not only were the RFEF surprised that they were doing this, they also thought that it was too short a time period to do the tender in. So the next day they release a statement saying that the ACFF hasn’t complied with the official regulations on how a club should sell TV rights.
On the 4th of March the National Committee of Female Football (it’s part of the RFEF so i’d just treat it as such) makes public the changes that they wanted to make to improve the status of women’s football in the country: the organisation of the two elite leagues, the set out of the competitions, number of players etc. The two most important points they made were the professionalisation the elite leagues should go about and the establishment of salary levels along with how much money the RFEF was willing to give.
However, the big bad wolf comes along and blows all this wonderful work away only 3 days later when the 9 days for bidding was up and even before midnight the ACFF had announced that TV rights had been given to MediaPro. At this point Rubiales got really stuck on the before midnight part, seems like he didn’t get his Cinderella ending as they announced it at midday rather than at midnight as the official regulations dictate. What’s more, they didn’t actually send out a letter personally telling them about this until the next day(you know a friendship’s breaking when you first hear about gossip from people outside of your group of friends…). So as retaliation the RFEF sends out an angry message to all the clubs who had signed the agreement telling them they were in trouble for not adhering to the assigned rules but not being able to do much more.
So basically the point they were trying to put across with this slide was that they had already offered, before the rights were signed away by the ACFF, certain economic rights and conditions for the players that the RFEF considered very reasonable and better than what is on the table now. More like a ha you should have listened to us (probably rightly so) rather than anything else.
Tumblr media
Slide 2, things that happened leading up to this point: Back to the bold man who speaks more to make up for his lack of her (okay that was mean sorry I’ll stop). He talks about how the RFEF offered both AFE and ACFF a tripartite collective agreement where a better salary, betterments for clubs and basic labour conditions were guaranteed. He drew a lot of focus to image rights and from what I understood they don’t actually have rights to their own image at the moment?? only national team players do?? that’s just the icing on the cake for me. And so this is what was offered on the 13th of May, guaranteeing a 18,000 euro salary as a requirement for all teams who want to continue playing in the league if the agreement was signed. But, what a surprise, the other associations didn’t even approach them which lead to the “failure of negotiations” after which point they claim they were completely excluded. Rubiales took the opportunity to practically martyrise himself here saying how it was them who were taken on all the risks by this agreement and it was only the players who would benefit from it.
Now we get into the really technical stuff, because yeah so far it’s been a piece of cake I know, so buckle up. The ACFF, basically the individual clubs, believe they can only take on a salary of 16,000 euros a year at a 50% partiality rate which is basically a fancy way of offering a 8,000 euro salary. The AFE, the trade union, asks for 16,000 at a 75% partiality rate which is 12,000 euros a year and still below the minimum professional salary in Spain
—> just a note here that later on the representative of the AFE said that they are never going to negotiate below the minimum interprofessional wage which is just above 12,000 and neither will the Government’s Ministry of Labour who they have now taken this case to (I know, apparently the government’s involved now too but this is the first I hear about it)
Tumblr media
So RFEF come riding in in shining armour with this solution saying that they’re willing to pay the difference between what the ACFF is willing to pay and what the AFE wants the salary to be. They also say that they would increase the minimum number of professional licenses from its current state of 12 to 18. Honestly it’s ludicrous that they haven’t done this before as a club needs 18 players on their squad to compete full stop. So yes, 2,000 euros for 18 players in 16 clubs would amount to 1,152,000 euros that they are willing to invest here so that all players are guaranteed what the union is asking for.
—> again the AFE calls them out later on saying that the real sum of money would be closer to 1.6 million as there are more than 18 players per squad and other contextual factors also need to be taken into consideration.
Tumblr media
Final slide (wooo!) of all the factors which must be kept in consideration. The first is what’s going on with TV rights at the moment where many matches can’t be televised. He says that it’s necessary to come to an agreement so that all matches can be streamed by the company that is contracted by the team. They promise to not block any televisations and reiterate the fact about ten times that it wasn’t them who has impede certain matches being shown so far but rather legal issues and petitions by external factors. Did I mention that it isn’t RFEF’s fault? Oh and by the way it’s not because of RFEF that this is happening.
Rights: commercial rights and advertising supports must be a fundamental part of the agreement like they used to be. Apparently back in the day when people didn’t care as much about women’s football and paid little attention to what was going on (aka a year ago) there was a common fund shared between all clubs for image rights. On the 13th May, they proposed a deal giving 2,000 to each player for there rights but, once again, they didn’t come to an agreement.
Compromise: they agree to respect all clubs having their individual affiliations with whichever organisation they have contracts with at the moment. Basically clubs that aren’t with the RFEF at the moment can continue with their current contracts without being penalised by them if an agreement is reached. If it is signed they will guarantee their current rights, however they then gave the ultimatum that after these expire in 3 (from what I gathered) years time then everyone will have to proceed all together to truly get that 18,000 euro salary and 2,000 extra image rights.
And that was about all the waffle I could handle to be honest which, thankfully enough, coincided with the end of his neither first nor last monologue of the day. He wrapped up by saying how he’s pleased to see so many players nodding their heads along in agreement and I did see the likes of Marta Corredera nodding so I guess we can give him some rights if my new futfem hero agreed. He did say something quite formidable though nearing the end stating that the agreement will only work if the clubs stop boycotting matches and respecting the rights Iberdrola has as their main sponsor, he literally said that we won’t invest in you guys if we know they don’t have faith in you. A final positive rounded up his speech hoping that the trade union would now be happy with what they have outlined above, bridging the gap that had formed between the two and that hopefully the clubs will soon release a statement also agreeing to comply with these basic demands. Idealistic? For sure, but worth a shot anyways.
that’s all I have time for tonight guys, if any of you are still around here then I’m very impressed. I might be back for a part 2 if I see enough demand for it, but honestly this just took up a good four hours of my life and I’m glad I did it but I’m now exhausted. So if you did actually find this useful/coherent/interesting then I’ll be more than happy to continue breaking down the rest of the conference, if not I’ll leave it here :)

The Future of Yoga: The Change We Need
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We look at diversity, equity, job security, and online teaching during a post-COVID era. This story is a component of a series covering the longer term of yoga during and after the coronavirus pandemic. Here, we take a glance at the challenging issues the yoga industry faces. Read more about the role unionization may play in addressing those challenges in our first story: As COVID-19 Reveals the Cracks within the Yoga Industry, Could a Universal Teachers’ Union Help Reshape Our Community? One month before the announcement of the permanent closures of the YogaWorks ny studios that were announced in April, I spoke with the changemakers on the front lines of unionization efforts on a Zoom call; a couple of YogaWorks NY teachers who formed the collective, Unionize Yoga—a first-ever yoga teachers’ union to become certified by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). Accompanied by a politician from the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW), the union that represents them, the teachers discussed the important issues that were plaguing our industry long before the coronavirus pandemic had arrived, including a scarcity of diversity, job security, and benefits like insurance and paid leave . It was the first days of COVID-19. Social distancing measures and sanitization protocols were mounting because the word “quarantine” quickly became the new normal. Industry-wide shutdowns of yoga studios and cancelations of retreats and festivals soon rippled throughout the country and round the world, ny City prepared to shelter-in-place. Here’s what I asked them—and what I learned about what the longer term of yoga could appear as if during a post-pandemic world.
Is Industry-Wide Diversity and Equity Even Possible?
One of the most important problems perpetuated by the yoga and wellness industry is its homogeneity and reinforcement of said that folks like male teachers, but I’ve said, how does one know that folks don’t like black teachers—or any teacher of color?” It’s already hard enough for white individuals to form a living as yoga teachers—there aren’t enough jobs; we’re only too conversant in the unsettling statistic that for each one yoga teacher there are two more in training. during a market that’s already oversaturated with teachers who can afford the prices of teacher training—ranging anywhere from a fast-track online program for $500 to an in-depth offering with a renowned yogalebrity for $10,000—imagine what it’s like for minority groups vying for teaching positions who are, by the sheer demographics of the industry, outnumbered by the white majority. Demens says she’s looking forward to what a possible teachers’ union could mean for diversity within the industry at large. She’s looked to history for inspiration, and learned about the black sanitation workers in Memphis, TN, who had formed a union back within the 1960s. She says they too faced problems with unfair pay, and a scarcity of job security and safety. At the time, she says, black people weren't allowed to organize—but following two deaths from a dustcart malfunction and therefore the city’s refusal to exchange the defective equipment, the workers went on strike. “They went through such a lot , but they never gave up,” Demens said. “They fought hard and that they eventually won—and not only for themselves; what they did impacted the civil rights movement and therefore the fight for labor rights.” Demens points out how the win in Memphis helped many black people shift into the center class. “I think many of us , myself included, often feel overlooked—and that I even have no voice or say in what goes on during this industry or how I’m viewed within the community,” she said. While Demens doesn’t know whether a yoga union might be as powerful or effective as what had happened in Memphis, she acknowledges how unions can help people feel supported and of significance, and empower them to face up for what they believe . “Diversity is a problem everywhere—and it’s not really seen as something that’s missing. generally , we check a box if we've one person of color on a teaching schedule. It’s not fair to not even be considered. It’s not fair that even when I’m given an opportunity , it’s Monday at 2:30 within the afternoon. Who’s gonna come thereto class? My goal has been to try to to what I can to form yoga available to the folks that I know—people that appear as if me—and understanding the way to meet those people where they're . i feel that a yoga union would help make yoga classes available to more people. I’ve seen efforts toward this—my teachers offer scholarships to women of color. It’s healing to ascertain those shifts which thought and energy . I once taught a restorative class in Crown Heights at 4 p.m., to those women who were total BFFs; these old black women who looked a bit like my grandmother. The way they checked out me it had been like they were pleased with me, and once I checked out them I saw my grandmother. So once I teach now, I act as if I were teaching my grandmother. I’m not getting to shout at at her; I’m getting to set her up within the pose. As an Iyengar teacher all I can do is give commands—so it made me believe how could get more women like my grandmother to return to my class; more women like this. Whats missing is we'd like more stories like that. i would like to assist get these conversations going. one among my students recently reached bent me and asked me to start out teaching online classes. So I began to build a schedule that works on behalf of me . Before I had to require what I could get. Now I can run my classes the way i would like and provides my students what they have . An Asian women came to at least one of my classes to “rest her brain”—she said she was hurt by the toll the pandemic had taken on China, so I offered her restorative and pranayama. I wouldn’t are ready to do this before because i used to be always told I had to urge people moving. Now I can help people and provides them what they really need. With numerous people laid off and knowing that there’s some benefit they will get from class, I aks myself how do I make my clases more available and accessible to them.” –Deidra Demens, 500-hour Certified Yoga Teacher, Level 1 Iyengar Teacher
What Does Job Security Look Like in An Uncertain Future?
Some teachers may say they’re paid a good wage, but there are countless others who would argue they’re not. There are other teachers who would probably say that they've never been purchased their classes in the least . In my personal experience as an educator , I’ve made anywhere from $5 to $150 for one hour session, counting on whether i used to be paid per head ($5 = 1 student came) or a flat rate (corporate yoga or a yoga festival appearance). In most cases, yoga teachers work as independent contractors instead of as part-time employees of a studio, which, because the union points out, can save the studio money on unemployment insurance and workers compensation. YogaWorks has been an anomaly therein regard, since its teachers are employed either part- or full-time, and also are eligible surely benefits. But YogaWorks teachers need to work on least 10 hours per week to be eligible surely benefits—and Unionize Yoga believes that those benefits should be available to all or any . Still, generally speaking, yoga teachers rarely have job security, nor can most of them make an inexpensive living by teaching alone. There are many teachers who make it work by piecing together income from multiple studios, while others may rely solely on one because they’ve signed a non-compete clause. What happens when alittle , independent studio is struggling and has got to suddenly close, then those teachers are out of work? Or what happens when the economy reopens and we’re on the opposite side of the pandemic—how many studios will even survive and, what percentage teachers will still be out of work? very similar to the industry and aspects of the gig economy, the shortage of job security within the yoga world is being illuminated by the present depression . During quarantine and in survival mode, teachers have begun to understand the potential for generating revenue streams online without a brick-and-mortar studio. An unprecedented number of studios and teachers alike have migrated to measure stream classes and joined the Zoom boom, which, counting on time of day, scale of online and social media presence, and whether or not they’re giving content away for free of charge , may or not be understanding . There are teachers who’ve had upwards of 100 students during a single class, while others may even see just a couple in less desirable timeslot (what is that the new “prime time” for quarantine practice, anyway?). Other teachers, meanwhile, have expressed worry about those who’ve been giving their content away for free of charge , explaining that it devalues their expertise. Veronica Perretti, a former YogaWorks teacher and former NY teacher manager for YogaWorks, started her own online platform outside of the corporate mid-March, just following the announcement of the initial temporary studio closures. Though she had voted against the NY teachers’ union last fall, she’s still an advocate for teacher-owned businesses and believes that teachers should charge what they’re worth. “I replaced my monthly YogaWorks income within the matter of 1 week with my new online membership program,” Perretti said. “I think this is often subsequent frontier of teaching yoga.” She says this is often a flash for teachers to require ownership of their business outside of the studio and make a community that knows no bounds. “I don’t need YogaWorks to offer me a platform to show ,” she says. “I’m creating it for myself.” Just before the arrival of the coronavirus within the us , Unionize Yoga founding member Markella Los, gave up her group classes at YogaWorks and her position as an educator trainer, and subsequently, her involvement with the YogaWorks NY union. Her shift to specialise in one-on-one instruction and online community building was a timely one, and now, Los is committed to assist ing other teachers outside of YogaWorks mobilize and make solutions to help make the profession more sustainable. In May, Los launched The Connective, a web “teacher-powered” collective that aims to diversify the yoga industry and lift its standards. How The Connective holds up during a post-coronavirus world remains to be seen, since running your own business equates to even less protection when it involves job security, but Los seems optimistic, despite that the traditional could potentially pose more risk for teachers. “The current crisis is highlighting issues and insecurities of what it means to be an educator that tons folks already knew were there. Who gets to make a decision what the yoga industry seems like and who’s in it? What I could see happening is that inequities are further perpetuated, but in a web forum. I could see a direction during which business continues as was common , but within the ‘wild west.’ But what I also can see is a chance to course-correct; to arrange and have conversations around online teacher-owned businesses. There’s multiple ways for people to organize—it’s only limited by your collective creativity. Teachers are talking for therefore long about the thought or need for a yoga teachers’ union, and it never happened. It felt love it couldn’t be done. the very fact that we’ve shown it are often done shifts the scope of what is possible. Teachers reach bent us to seek out out what we did and the way to start out something on their own. we've a voice, we’re starting conversations, we’re connecting and being honest with what we’re all handling . Our goal has always been to boost industry standards overall—and for the profession to become more sustainable for anyone who wants to be in it. for much longer than I even have been teaching, people have talked about the thought or need for a yoga teachers’ union. They talked about it for therefore long and it never happened; it felt love it couldn’t be done. the very fact that we showed that it might be done shifts the scope of what is possible. It’s been a tremendous facilitator for conversation—teachers reach bent determine what we did and the way to start out something on their own. We’re starting important conversations; we’re connecting and being honest with what we are all handling . That’s been a hugely important profound shift. –Markella Los, 500-hour Certified Yoga Teacher; Yoga Tune Up YogaWorks, Trauma-Conscious Yoga Method, FRC Mobility Specialist
Are Yoga Teachers Entitled to Healthcare, Regardless of Hours Worked?
As London-based teacher Norman Blair wrote in his blog, “How can we stay well when working within the wellness industry?” Whenever an educator gets sick, they'll ‘power through’ and teach anyway (it’s only an hour, right?), putting the health of their students in danger also as their own. the choice , of course, is to seek out a sub. Either way, the teachers who are independent contractors don’t get paid once they don’t teach. Worse, when an educator is injured and out of labor , how can they still make ends meet? The COVID-19 pandemic has revealed how easily anyone can become ill, no matter their physical health. It’s a deadly reminder of the very fact that many Americans still live without insurance . Unionize Yoga believes that, like all trained worker , yoga teachers need and deserve benefits like healthcare. YogaWorks teachers, unlike most teachers at independent studios, are regular employees of the corporate , not independent contractors, which is why they’re eligible for perks like wage and which is additionally why they might legally form a union within the corporate . And though YogaWorks employees who work 10 classes per week (or equivalent) are considered full-time, consistent with Unionize Yoga, no teacher at YogaWorks NY had worked that a lot of hours. the amount of hours worked, of course, doesn't include the countless ‘invisible hours’ (class prep, travel, training, etc.), involved in teaching a category . Unionize Yoga says that healthcare benefits should be made available to all or any teachers, no matter hours worked. The common practice, a minimum of within the U.S., is that insurance usually applies only to those that work full-time, or part-time at a particular number of hours. But Unionize Yoga says that there’s no reason why a part-time teacher can’t be entitled thereto same fundamental right. YogaWorks, however, states otherwise, citing the company’s already existing benefits package as a rare exception within the yoga world—and the sole company within the industry to supply a leave policy. "YogaWorks is that the winner within the industry in providing benefits like health care coverage and 401k plans to full-time teachers, while also ensuring that each one among our teachers is an employee with all applicable benefits, including wage and hour protection, unemployment insurance, leave pay, family leave, and workers compensation,” a spokesperson from YogaWorks told me in an email. “We believe our extraordinary retention among our teachers, many spending decades with the corporate , may be a testament to our commitment to them and to the above market wages we offer altogether of our markets.” David DiMaria, a representative of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers’ (IAMAW) Eastern territory, works with new groups who’ve organized to make a union. He explains that independent contractors aren't covered by the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), which allows unions to legally form within companies. However, very similar to Uber drivers did in ny , independent contractors can still organize—just not within an equivalent legal framework of a formally recognized union that gives workers with additional rights. DiMaria understands the political and financial challenges that accompany fighting for healthcare, but believes that if yoga teachers were to arrange in greater numbers across different employers, that it’s doable within the future . very similar to actors’ unions, which believe contributions made by multiple employers, he says that following an identical model could mean that nobody employer would need to bear the high cost of insurance for his or her employees alone, which teachers could qualify for benefits no matter the amount of hours worked. “It’s a very tough issue due to the character of labor . Some teachers teach one class every week and a few teach five. We are watching ways to supply some level of advantages for everybody , but we are so early within the process that it’s timely to inform . We are bargaining over different issues and it’s all contingent agreeing to the entire contract, we won’t have an agreement until each side ratify. But once we last met with the corporate there was movement on their end. consider it sort of a junior high school dance, it begins with people on opposite sides of the space , but eventually everyone starts dancing.” –David DiMaria, Eastern Territory Organizing Lead, IAMAW
Should Studios Prioritize Teachers’ Pay Over Student Numbers?
Yoga studios, regardless of what size, exist due to yoga teachers. and lots of teachers have said that enormous companies like YogaWorks and CorePower, which are owned by private equity firms, could compensate their teachers with better living wages (the teacher-led lawsuit against CorePower in 2019 cited underpaid wages). Unionize Yoga says that a good wage is one that increases over time with experience, and considers other factors like the rising costs of living. (A quick disclosure: As a former YogaWorks NY teacher, my flat rate, when averaged over time, was still superior in comparison with the smaller studios that had paid me per head.) the matter with YogaWorks’ pay scale, however, as some YogaWorks NY teachers have said, had been the shortage of transparency about its pay system. Christine Festa, a yoga teacher and coach in Southeast Florida who completed her 200- and 300-hour teacher trainings at YogaWorks NY and NJ, agrees, and says it’s the massive companies who should be leading the industry by example. “There shouldn’t be of these different teachers at different pay rates,” she told me, flagging nepotism together potential issue. “There should be a group structure that's shared among teachers in order that all teachers understand where they substitute the combination of things; in order that they know where they’ll go as they progress in their career.” Festa is notoriously outspoken on social media about problems within the industry at large, and coaches yoga teachers on the way to become more self-sufficient by generating new revenue streams outside of studios. Tamar Samir, another founding member of Unionize Yoga and a YogaWorks NY teacher since 2010, says she’s an advocate for teachers. She’s argued for transparency around pay, and for various ‘pay bands,’ or layers of pay, that increase supported experience (Samir has completed over 1,500 hours of training). She suggests that there has got to be how for both the studio and teacher to financially flourish together. Yet as an accomplished creative director and professor of design at Parsons School of Design and Pratt in ny , Samir doesn’t necessarily believe teaching yoga to pay her bills. But when YogaWorks announced that it might close its Westside studio in late-2018 with only three weeks' notice, she realized just how fragile the industry are often for the typical teacher. Though the corporate took measures to reassign teachers elsewhere, the relationships between those teachers and therefore the students who’d been coming to their classes were broken—an entire community dissolved almost in a moment . “One of the items i assumed about after being during this industry for 10 plus years was that I even have tons less to lose than people . It became very clear there have been inequities, and that i have seen an equivalent patterns repeat over and once again . There’s a dichotomy between how yoga is presented publicly and what teaching yoga is really like behind-the-scenes. We see Instagram posts where teachers look beautiful, healthy, and peaceful, but all folks know that that's not actually the case in the least . Many teachers live in small apartments and earning under the poverty level . So maybe they’re accomplished on Instagram, but they’re also doing a waitressing or bartending job that they are not telling the planet about. there is a quite hypocrisy that’s built into the profession; you've got to present yourself as a picture of health and prosperity. It makes it harder for people to advocate for themselves. That’s why we’re the reality tellers—we’re telling people what a yoga teacher’s life is basically like. Yoga is about solidarity and connectedness—which should be a no brainer for yogis. –Tamar Samir, Creative Director and Yoga Teacher
Should Seniority and Experience Be Rewarded?
In most other professions, a worker receives a raise in their salary supported their performance, whether by appointment to a higher-level position supported seniority or through adequate compensation supported experience. The yoga industry, at large, has no such pay structure. In most cases, an educator just out of teacher training could also be paid an equivalent interest rate that increases per student as an educator with 10 years or more of experience. this suggests that a lot of teachers are rewarded for his or her personality and following, versus experience, while others may simply get lucky and secure lucrative time slots for his or her classes. When compared with the restaurant industry, for instance , a server with more seniority often gets the higher section, and walks away with 3 times the maximum amount take advantage their pocket on any given night as a less experienced server in another section. But many restaurants now have mandatory tip pooling systems in an effort to be more fair to their employees across the board. While pooled class earnings for yoga teachers might not be the foremost practical solution, Unionize Yoga is lobbying for a transparent pay structure that rewards teachers supported their skills and knowledge , instead of leaving it up to the luck of the draw or a robust personality with an outsized social media presence to urge ahead. German-born Nora Heillman, a performance artist turned yoga teacher, moved to ny from Amsterdam in 2013 where she met her wife, Samir. She recalls the first days as an immigrant in ny when she took whatever work she could get, teaching very early or late in the dark for little or no money. But after five years, exhausted and depleted, she found herself wondering how she’d be ready to continue—or what would happen if she got sick or ever wanted to retire at some point. As a yoga and meditation teacher with 13 years of experience and quite 1,600 hours of coaching , Heillman says she’s cycled through 12 studios in 5 years, many of which have closed, including 3 YogaWorks locations at the time of this interview (Heillman had been an educator at YogaWorks since 2014). She recalls the frustration of going to an area where she finally felt financially secure enough to pay her bills, just in time for an additional studio to shut its doors. Heillman recalls the sense of urgency that followed the closure of the YogaWorks Westside location in 2018; the belief of the shortage of sustainability within the profession— even as sustainability was becoming a buzzword, she says. That’s when she, Samir, and Los began their initial discussions that led to the first formation of the Teachers’ Initiative. “There are teachers at YogaWorks who are teaching for 25 years. We don’t have regular raises or evaluation meetings per annum like other jobs, since that’s not a typical within the yoga world. Teachers need to fight for a raise or salary that they might wish to see themselves at. And sometimes, after a few years of teaching, maybe they’ll have an honest salary, on the other hand a studio starts to limit classes and convey in new teachers at a lower rate who’ve just begin of coaching , because it’s less costly for the studio. There’s no financial security for teachers with more experience. That’s why we’re advocating for teachers with the foremost experience, especially those who’ve been at an equivalent studio for several years. They’re those who should have first access to classes opening up. There must be some career path for growth; knowing that your salary will go up if you persist with the corporate . Some teachers’ salaries haven’t gone up in 15 years at YogaWorks and at other studios, when now we pay $1,000 more dollars in rent per month than we did years ago. It’s a pity when a studio loses a highly qualified teacher because they’re burned-out and throwing in the towel of the profession. I just take what's offered to me, but i do know it’s the louder personalities who get $30 more per class. If you are not a fighter, you would possibly be teaching for low pay your whole life. How would any folks have navigated the present crisis without having had the community we’ve created through the union? we actually do support one another through all of this.” –Nora Heillmann, Yoga Teacher
The Next Step for Yoga
We have found ourselves during a moment where everything is changing and nobody really knows what the post-COVID yoga world are going to be like—with or without a union. Digital platforms could morph into an amplified version of a contest , rewarding only those that are highly skilled at self-promotion and social media marketing. Many studios will close and businesses will inevitably fail. For people who survive and remain open, the longer term of yoga—at least the foreseeable one—is a special place then once we left it. A future that limits in-studio class offerings, ushers students into a building one-by-one to require their temperatures, then caps the space at 6 to eight students. A world where students are inhaling and exhaling into their face masks with their mats strategically placed six feet apart. a wierd new reality where fears of germs are but a continuing , where extreme disinfectant and sanitization measures put anyone who’s willing to steer into a studio jittery . In some ways, it might appear to be going back to the way things were is like trying to force a square peg into a round hole. Maybe there's no going back. Maybe this this is often our moment, as an industry, to change, collaborate, create, and innovate—to transcend beyond studio walls. As we glance toward the longer term , as uncertain because it could seem at the present , perhaps we might all enjoy identifying what we don’t want the industry to seem like by acknowledging what it isn’t. It’s never the past neither is it our attachments thereto . The solutions aren't getting to be found by forcing things to be as they once were. As my teacher and studio owner, Jill Sockman, said during a virtual government building meeting on concentrate May as she announced the closure of her brick-and-mortar space in Raleigh, Blue Lotus, (where I had taught and practiced before the pandemic), “We’re not getting to find ‘the yoga’ by fighting what is; we can’t avoid doing the hard thing because it’s uncomfortable.” Author: Andrea Rice Source: https://www.yogajournal.com/teach/future-of-yoga-post-covid Discover more info about Yoga Poses for Two People here: Yoga Poses for Two Read the full article

Ecosole simplifies the management of the collection of edible vegetable oils
Waste oil or used oil is that which is contaminated with other substances and consequently is not quite as safe for use; it may be hazardous. The possible toxicity saw to the introduction of several environmental regulations that govern and also require for the safe disposal of these oils so that damages to the natural environment, living organisms and humans are reduced. Waste oil recycling has for that matter become huge company with the business needing cooking and motor oils. Waste oils can get cleaned up and then utilized in different industries. Once the contaminants have been removed, the purified variety can be utilized in electricity plants in the production of electricity for companies, schools and even homes. Utility and industrial boilers can also use it or it could be mixed for marine fuels. Lubricants are also obtained in the recycled refined oil. The other areas where the utilized recycled oil can prove to be beneficial are in industrial burners, molding firms to release products, for bitumen based products, hydraulic oil, as an additive in product manufacturing and even as transformer oil. To begin the recycling procedure, you can deliver your used oil into a nearby collection facility that may pre-treat and recycle it or perhaps sell to a specialized used oil recycler. There are so many used oil recycling facilities now and you may be certain you have played a part in maintaining the environment and saved energy at the same time whenever you have your waste oil disposed properly. Not so many men and women consider improper disposal of used oil and they'll pour it out without a care in the world. However, this improper disposal leads to the oil getting into back yards, landfills, storm drains as well as sewers. It usually means that the dirt, drinking water and groundwater may get contaminated and sewer treatment systems can also get damaged. When you recycle the waste oil, you keep it away in the lakes, rivers and streams in addition to the ground water sources which you get your drinking water from. Recycling oils normally saves the environment, conserves energy and keeps you protected from hazardous contamination. You can easily get motor oil from your boat, motorcycle, lawnmower, vehicle or truck recycled. It's in itself a show of commitment to maintain the environment secure, for the sake of future creation and also for the conservation of energy resources. In as much as it is important to choose your used oil to a collection and recycling facility for the same, you need to make sure that you properly handle the oil before it has accumulated. In case you have waste motor oil, maintain it in a container which has a secure and a tight lid to make sure that there are not leak risks. Milk jugs which have protected caps may very powerful storage units for the petroleum. Ensure also that you don't combine the waste oil using any other substance, whether it is transmitting fluid or antifreeze liquid. The containers should then be kept away from ignition sources and kids. Do not overfill. Make sure the parking brake is set and start the motors in a well-ventilated place after you change the oil. Its pressure light may be on, but it should go out after a few seconds. Once the light goes out, permit the motor to run for a couple more minutes. Display responsibility. Protect the environment and preserve resources by taking your used oil and filter to your nearest used oil collection center. My buddy visits a used automobiles centre in Alexandria after do-it-yourself oil change into dispose-off used oil. Used oil is a concern of every restaurant proprietor. This natural byproduct of deep frying foods creates an annoyance for any owner. What can you do would all of those gallons of oil generated every day that won't put a strain on your business's budget? Luckily, there are a number of recourses for disposing of oil and also an astute owner can even turn that waste to profit. Most restaurants still use conventional oil disposal solutions to haul off the huge quantities of used cooking oil which are created during the course of routine business. However, depending on where your business is found, you could have more choices than you understand. Having a rising demand for oil to be utilised in a number of products and in biofuels, restaurant owners are finding they no longer need to pay to get rid of their unwanted acrylic. Finding a service prepared to cart your oil away for free or, if you're lucky, one that's ready to pay you for it might be as easy as perusing your regional yellow pages. When was the last time you looked to get a petroleum service? If it's been some time then you may not be aware of how much things have changed. What used to be a bothersome waste product has now become a valuable commodity. A growing number of refineries are ready to pay a nice price a barrel of waste oil to be used in feeds, fuels and other products. Therefore, many waste petroleum services are prepared to really cover your used cooking oil. In some regions, where you will find local rendering plants and refineries that use waste oil within their production, waste oil collection services can amass an ordinary cost $30 per barrel. As a result of this high cost and the ease of collecting the oil from your waste oil bin, a number of these services are ready to pay upwards of $10 per barrel for your own oil. The waste oil can then be taken to refineries and rendering plants where it's used for a number of things. Waste oil is used in animal feeds as a source of high energy fat. Waste oil can also be utilized to create biofuels which are starting to replace traditional fuels in several of industrial equipments. For those owners who aren't concerned about making a few bucks from their oil, but would rather help boost their image locally, there is another exciting option to get rid of all that oil. Riding the wave of the present trend towards environmentalism, industrious"green" mechanics have begun a movement amongst environmentalist everywhere in the region of alternatively fueled cars. Individuals have begun to convert diesel engines to run on pure vegetable. Waste oil burns clean and gets surprising excellent mileage. By earning your waste oil readily available to the public you're playing a role in helping the environment and building your reputation as an environmentally friendly business. We are living in an age where the environment and the ozone need much care. If we don't take care of our planet now, there can be very little that we can do to fix it later. One of the regions where folks lack in is that of properly disposing of used cooking oil. I have seen that many people, from individuals to restaurants, find it hard to properly dispose of the used oil. They simply throw it down the drain or in the backyard. This isn't ideal since it may have adverse effects of the organisms living in the garden and it might lead to drain blockages that can be unhygienic. For that reason, it's of extreme importance that you eliminate your favorite sunflower oil at a healthy and hygienic manner. It is important for the health and the health of the eco-system. There are a number of ways which you can locate a used oil collector. These would be the people or companies which have the infrastructure to collect and dispose of the oil in a secure way. Firstly, you can find out from other restaurants that they use to collect the oil. Usually huge restaurants contract oil collectors to gather from them on a daily or weekly basis, depending on their volume of used oil. You could contact the local municipality and request a list of used oil collectors. Google, of course, is among the chief procedures to find what you're looking for. So it's also excellent place to search for reputable collectors. If they have a site, you could find out even more about how they do it or you can contact them directly to find out more about this process. These kind of businesses will typically collect the used frying oil from you and take it back to their premises where they will bottle it to recycling purposes or eliminate it in an eco manner method. The used cooking oil could be utilized as biodiesel or from the chemical market. It's very important that you do check the trustworthiness of the collector as a number of them might not be reputable. Used oil can be a harmful substance and incorrect disposal can be damaging to certain eco systems and to individuals. Figure out if they have a certification that verifies them to be used oil collectors and that the oil isn't recycled back into the human food chain. There are many ways to dispose of used oil, but it is best to get in contact with a respectable company that can do this. Our core focus at Golden Fry would be to provide specially customized goods and solutions to Restaurants, Take-Aways, Food Manufacturers, Caterers, Wholesalers, Supermarkets and Spaza Shops. We are a licensed used oil collector. Are you considering starting a mobile oil change business? Well, there are a whole lot of things that you ought to know, and I bet you are outside searching for information online are not you? Okay so, allow me to give you a few pointers and tips. Below are some questions which lately were requested of me by someone like you who wants to start their own mobile oil change business too. These questions must do with removal of used oil, and also what to do with it once its collected - where to take it. You will find DOT rules, EPA rules, and local principles most likely in your area. You have to adhere to every one of these. Depending on the amount that would need to put up a diamond shaped placard on your vehicle. To receive supplementary information on Raccolta Olio Verona please learn more here. And you'll need to ensure that you can include the oil if the used oil tank gets a leak. Wouldn't it have been fine if they had comprised the oil that spilled into the Gulf of Mexico and cleaned up on shore? See that point an why this is a significant consideration. Additionally that petroleum was crude oil, the petroleum that you collect from cars and trucks once you change the oil is filthy refined oil, much more serious into the surroundings. Today's high-performance CNC machines operate in extremely substantial levels of speed, requiring an oil mist eliminator to remove vast amounts of coolant. As an example, the Haas MDC-500 Mill DrillCenter features a high-volume coolant pump along with a 40-gallon coolant tank. Mist eliminators are intended to take out the oil mist and smoke from cutting fluids in metalworking environments. The health dangers of petroleum exposure associated with the machine tool sector have been well recorded. The websites for OSHA, NIOSH and the CDC provide an abundance of valuable information for both employers and employees regarding safety problems and cutting fluids. Among the most common afflictions of employees exposed to oil mist is Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis (HP). This can be an allergic reaction to machine lubricant which worsens with continuing exposure. HP is due to germs in the cutting oil that affect air sacs from the deepest part of the lung. Symptoms include fever, chills, deep coughing and shortness of breath. A mist eliminator accumulates and eliminates the damaging particles and smoke from petroleum jelly. Does an oil mist eliminator protect workers health, it may also help increase production and improve your shops overall atmosphere. It is undoubtedly very important to get your car's oil changed on-time. But since it's all about the very valued part of your vehicle, the engine, it is very important that you have essential information about it such as quality to use, timing of change (if it really is important to change car oil after 3000 miles), and many other tips. You might not be close to an auto mechanic or you just wish to home improvement, a friend of mine in Fairfax, VA gave quite helpful tips regarding this: Do not alter oil while the engine is hot. Let it cool for a couple hours. It can burn you badly. Allow it two hours at least to cool before beginning. When engine is hot, its temperature generally touches 250 levels. It may burn you badly. Another reason why you should cool down the oil is that all residue settle into the bottom of the pan. Oil chemistry and engine technologies have now improved to the point that most cars can go a few thousand more miles before changing it. So 3,000 mph change is not necessary for all the cars. Although most cars require 4-5 quarts of petroleum, you must nevertheless owner's manual for the recommended amount is necessary and more notably recommended grade of motor oil for use. If you're traveling on bike or automobile for a lengthy journey and you think your car needs oil change, here is a great tip to get assist. The natives can buy the used oil from you. They purchase and use it to paint on the underside and foundations of homes. It prevents termites from eating the wood. So, if you're on the street and want to change the oil, just walk up to a few of the houses and tell them that you need to change your oil. They will assist you if you request them to bring their own container to take used oil. Oil recycling company initiatives make it possible for restaurateurs and professionals from the food service industry to maintain the environment a cleaner and greener place. By using these tools, restaurants, specifically, can turn waste into profit in a short time period. Clients that use oil recycling include little cafes as well as large institutional facilities, like kitchens in medical facilities, prisons, or colleges. Assessing the use of animal and plant byproducts is one approach to reduce environmental waste. Oil recycling company services include everything in the pick up of cooking fats, regular grease trap maintenance, as well as the cleaning of grease interceptors and capture basins. Restaurateurs who would like to increase their bottom line or receive their establishment up to code may benefit from such services. It is irrelevant whether a facility produces just a couple gallons monthly or has a large grease trap that needs constant cleaning, all businesses or institutions in the food service industry can profit from this sort of recycling agency. Partner using an oil recycling firm whose primary aim is to maintain grease traps, so the amounts comply with your city's codes. As you do have to spend less on maintaining collection methods, the assortment of this oil or grease is entirely free. Therefore, recycling is a sustainable and cost-effective way for a company to increase its bottom line. The gas that is made from recycled oil isn't just renewable, it is a clean-burning replacement fuel which makes it possible for the U.S. to rely less on oil sources from overseas countries. Not only is biodiesel better for your environment, it produces more job opportunities throughout the U.S. EPA-designated fuels meet stringent technical qualifications for quality and performance in motors. As a result, biodiesel fuel that's created by recycled means may be utilized in all types of engines, and is even covered by leading engine manufacturers' warranties. Since the start of the 21st century, the manufacturing of biodiesel fuel has gone from 25 million to over one billion gallons. The biodiesel fuel industry jobs that it will fabricate approximately 10% of the diesel transportation reservations by 2022. If that goal is met, it usually means that the U.S. will depend less on oil imports, and that, in turn, will also lessen the trade deficit. Biodiesel plants are situated across the U.S., including all the facilities equipped to produce as much as three billion gallons of biodiesel fuel per year.

“frisk i hate you so much how dare you call tem an abomination”
“I will call Tem what I damn well please.” Frisk said as they were thrown into the wall by a stream of blue strings, and only then did they see who was standing before them.
“So who are you? I know you’re a Sans, but do you have a nickname?” Frisk said, getting up as the grating of bones could be heard as they walked up and tried to attack, but failed miserably.
“Call me Error. The Destroyer of Worlds.” Error said, his eyes gleaming with pure madness and insanity. All watching flinched, it was a look they were all too familiar with.
“sans has there been a timeline where frisk spared you and you didn't dunk frisk”
“Nope. I love dunking them, it’s always so satisfying.” Classic said, smiling to himself.
“also chara supposing you were brought back would you be able to use magic like storyshift chara”

She said, hugging herself as she smiled and her cheeks became a deeper pink color.
“Okay so this was hard to get through the glitches but here goes nothing guys. Chara wants me to give her family a message. She said "Tell them I'm sorry. That I'm sorry for everything and I love them more than anything. They're still my family and I love them so much. Tell Flowey I'm so sorry, and tell Mom that I love her and her pie, and tell Dad that I'm so sorry for poisoning him with the flowers. I would've stopped this if I could." Oh Chara, you are just a scared little girl, you poor little sweetie. Well umm if you guys want to ask her anything I am game. I'll do my best to read through the glitches.”
“Chara, tell her we love and forgive her. We’d love to see her again, she will always be apart of our family.” Toriel said, her face determined.
“I told her that it was ok. I agree with Toriel, please, do tell her that.” Asgore said, holding Toriel close to him.
“They better be sorry. Are they ok? They can’t be doing well considering what they went through.” Flowey grumbled, his face softening as he remembered her.
Hmm Red, Stretch uhh you guys may want to handle the Black situation now. The trying to sabotage Red's reputation would hurt the little blueberry and red enough, but he is planning to purposely put Blue in danger so he can "Save him" uhh that sounds a touch yandere to me and is not a laughing matter.
“Honestly I like Red and either Blueberry or Classic. He needs someone nice after that mess he grew up in and those 2 seem like the most likely to help him come out of his shell and be himself.”
“Oh yeah, it was hard to relax and trust these dorks at first, especially Ink, and I wish I kept my guard up. But the good ones here are amazing.” Red said, looking at Blue longingly.
“Frisk, you don't deserve the power you have. You have proven that much, I hope you suffer 10 fold what you made them go through.”
“And I hope you get to feel my knife running through your chest.” Frisk growled as they felt their arm snap in half as it got tangled in Error’s spider web.
“Frisk you say you think you can handle the other skeletons, let me tell you that is wrong. If you get out then I assure you Nightmare and the others will teach you the meaning of his name.”
“‘Nightmare’, sounds like a challenge, for once.” Frisk announced, trying to attack Error once more but ended up having a shattered soul as Error swapped with Horror, who was giggling with eagerness as he clutched his axe.
“ Oh so Sci, I am serious about finding a way to help Chara. Come on you brilliant skeleton you, you gotta have some ideas!”
“I was actually working on that, it was a side project I purposed for the versions of the kid we knew were innocent, but something sidetracked me. And it was the best thing to ever happen to me.” Sci said, as he cuddled Alt, who was sleeping like a kitten and almost purring.
“Hey Chara, you deserve better. You are a good kid. I would like to offer you a hug?”

Chara had a few tears in their eyes as they felt a feeling. Then they realized they were being hugged, and they began to sob as they tried to hold the invisible being.
“Hey here is a question, we got guns from the Mob universes ready for this brat? They deserve your worst guys. They have lost the rights to mercy.”
“While I aprictae the offer, we don’t need guns. This kid needs a slow and painful death, and I’ve been having a, craving, per say.” Horror said, chuckling as the kid looked truly afraid for the first time that day.
“Frisk, you overgrown hairy potato, I am done trying to talk you down. Pfft you think you are special? You think you are anything? You were made to be an empty space with no personality of your own so the player could easily put themselves in your place. If this is what you are like I am glad you have no lines in the game, you don't deserve them. What is even the point of you? (whispers to Paps) how is that for a distraction?”
“Whatever, you will be next.” Frisk said, right as they had to face Horror in hand to hand combat and were nearly sliced in half.
“That was a good distraction! Good on you human! At least I assume you are human.” Papyrus said, shrugging.
“So Alt Killer, you doing okay now that your Nightmare can't hurt you? and what about what happened to Horror? how did you guys handle that?”
“I’m doing a lot better, Alt’s been nice to me, and so has everyone else. I’m so glad to have people I can rely on to not abuse me for once. My Horror was the only one who bothered to treat my wounds, I didn’t talk or leave my room unless I was needed, that lasted until Alt came back and saved me.” He said, smiling as he rested in a small house he was provided. It was in Alt’s Doodlesphere as he had no other idea as to where to put it and trusted Killer.
“Is annoying Dog helping? Come on puppy!”
The annoying dog yipped as it chewed on the mysterious artifact and wagged it’s tail as Frisk nearly got decapitated, or de-limbed several times and even moved Frisk closer to the bloody blade.
“Oh boy I can't believe I am gonna do this. Gaster if you can talk to me I can try to uhh translate the WingDings. Any ideas from you to make things go smoother? Come on Doc let me atleast try.”

“Hey uhh Error was what I said to Frisk too mean, I mean they don't deserve mercy but did I go too far?”
“Nope. You did wonderful.” Error said, smiling.
“Here is a song for the Fell brothers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XaRcYnIk-Y “
“Nice. That’s going on a playlist.” Red said, winking.
“Flowey, if there is a way to save Chara whose side will you be on?”
“Chara of course! I only helped Frisk kill everyone because I thought they were Chara at first.” Flowey scoffed, rolling his eyes as he felt the judging eyes of everyone burrowing down into him.
“Ok I gotta know, how did you guys deal with the YandereBerry and who did they try to kidnap?”
“He tried to replace Blue. It was not pretty.” Stretch said, shivering at the memory.
“It was actually because of that horrific abomination of a monster that Red even confessed to me in the first place.” Blue said, not dropping his smile as he denounced the one creation Ink regretted making.
“Y-yeah. Heck, Nightmare even chipped in to help us, though he later had to clarify that it was him, but we assumed it was him. Though we don’t know if Ink was making him, Nightmare said that considering what he saw, he would have helped.” Red said, looking away from Blue’s increased glitching.
“Error if you think Yandere Ink is bad you do NOT want to meet the Fallen Star Sanses. They are all Yandere versions of Blueberry, Dream, and Ink. They are creepy and Nightmare should run if he sees a Yandere version of his brother, run like your soul depends on it cause it kinda does.”
“Sounds like an emergency. A yandere Dream, that sounds like something out of a horror movie, seriously, I’m glad Ink didn’t use that against us.” Error said, horrified.
“I would run from that no matter what. That is a contradiction of values.” Nightmare said watching some creators get out sketch pads and pencils.
“NO!” He screamed before he was locked in a cage and watched as Maxie, Jana, Zack, Jack, and Beatrice discussed what would happen.
“Don’t worry Nightmare, we won’t bring this to life. I’ll make sure of this.” Zack promised, and Nightmare growled as he tried to slip in between the bars, sadly they were too small.
“You know Outer, I never got your opinion on you and Error. You have to admit he is a little cutie.”
“He is. Though everyone says he is cute, but in more of a fluffy bunny way than in the way you’re implying. When he isn’t reminding us of his title.” Outer said, shrugging.
“So here is the thing I am worried about, how sure are we Ink is gone forever? He umm has a habit of coming back in most multiverses.”
“We can only hope Ink’s only gone forever.” Dream said, clutching his arms as he sat down, dar away from everyone else as he took a breather.
“What if Frisk somehow brings Ink back if he gets in the doodle sphere? Guys I am worried!”
“Then we have to make sure Frisk doesn’t get in. Though I can’t see how they’d bring him back.” Dream said, clutching his head as he laughed with a few tears escaping.
“Fresh, are you worried about your new brothers fighting Frisk?”
“A little. Though they’re rad, they can handle any unfresh person out there.” Fresh said, smiling.
“Hey Sans, if you don't agree to speak to a therapist, or at least your brother, I will keep finding songs that bring attention to your issues. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZFbHz5gb8Q”
“Well, I can actually see one and make progress when the kid is dead. And I made a promise to Dream to seek professional help one day.” Classic said, sighing as he slid down the side of the pillar he hid behind.
“So glitter prank, we should also booby trap the shower so he can't wash off what he gets on him, I am thinking food coloring in the shower head. stain his bones.”
“Wow, you really live up to that Creator label. When the Red, Blue, and Black love triangle is over, we’re doing that. I do not want to pick sides.” Dream laughed, laying on the couch as he took a few deep breathed and rubbed his temples.
“Black, I gotta know, why Blueberry? I mean he is already taken and he is happy, there are so many others you could go for, and I don't think you're gonna have many friends if you hurt Red and word gets out. Be it physically or otherwise. Why not just move on and find someone who is available? Let Blueberry and Red be happy.”
“Why not? He’d be happier with me.” Black said, grumbling.
“classic when you dunk frisk you make a undodgeable attack supposing frisk managed to get to the first save point could you make a version of the get dunked attack so when the spawn they die”
“Half the fun is in the beatdown. As any of these guys can tell you.” Classic said, chuckling.
“undyne can you teach me how to cook”
“Heck yeah! Come ‘ere punk!” Undyne said, as Alphsy laughed as her girlfriend.
“so will annoying dog allow you guys to drain frisk i don't think the dog will like that”
The annoying dog wagged its tail as Frisk was finally decapitated by Horror after withstanding several brutal injuries.
“so sans for the first time you can get to and stay on the surface aren't you excited ps tell me if i'm wrong but your issues come from frisk resetting when you get to the surface right”
“I am so excited, and nervous, I’ve never actually met another human besides Frisk that’s from this universe, funny to think that the template for the most powerful beings in all the multiverse is so isolated.” Classic said, sighing in relief as he felt another load go by.
“annoying dog there are a ton of bones in undyne's cupboard just take them out of the wrapper and papyrus won't know so he won't harass you”
The dog barked in annoyance at the request, as if the prospect of not annoying Papyrus was not an option.
“Classic, you know you are extremely loved. Not just by your friends and family but by the fandom, for so many reasons. I know some of the stories people write are uhh scarring but to be honest having this community has saved a lot of people from themselves. How do you feel knowing you give people hope after they thought there was nothing left to hope for? I just want you to know you are loved and valued, so take care of yourself.”
“I will, thanks.” Classic said dozing off.
“Chara, if you could take Frisk's place somehow and rejoin your family, would you?”

Chara screamed it at the top of their lungs, holding their fists as they felt a trickle of determination flow through them, and their feet touched the ground for a brief moment, as if her body tried to become solid again.
“Is Red's brother gonna help with the Black issue? It is kinda an insult to his family name that Black thinks he can butt in a steal from his brother.”
“He’s not involved in any shenanigans, though I’m pretty sure he’d defend my honor to the death. He’s a good bro like that.” Red said, laughing.
“Any new universes you guys really like?”
“Well, Red liked Swap!Lust, and it took us a while to identify the difference between the two swaps. It was humiliating.” Dream said, sighing.
“I however, am a fan of Littletale. Took them long enough to make it, I had seen so many notes on what the AU would be like and I’m so glad it’s here. They are all so cute.” Dream said, giggling.
“Littleswap. I love seeing a baby version of my bro. He may have raised me, but I do like seeing a baby him.” Stretch said and Blue stuck his tongue out.
“So is anyone ready to record the Black vs Red fight? I mean I am sure Blue will stop it before anyone gets too badly hurt.”
“We’re waiting for Black to make his move. Once he does, we’ll pounce.” Red said, “And that’s why it has to be quick, I want to bash his skull in real good.” Red said and Stretch rolled his eyes as he snickered.
Blue, contrary to popular belief, heard everything. And he planned to crash their revenge party with a plan of his own. And it was going to be a Nightmare for all involved, except him of course.
“So Frisk, had enough? you should reset and try something else. You can't beat THIS. Little demon.”
“I can beat anything.” Frisk said, staring down Killer, causing them to laugh.
“Well, here to help me kill some more? You’re so cute.” Frisk said, and Killer returned the laugh, only more empty and sadistic.
“I’m done with you. You’ll die three more times.” Killer said, launching a blaster at the child.
“Error, you figured it out! I knew you would. No censoring can stop you!”
“Indeed.” Error said, enjoying the sounds of Frisk’s distress.
“sanses tell me if there is anything i can do to help you kill the demon child no one gets away with bullying tem”
“We appreciate the help, but we got this.” Classic said.
“chara which type of chocolate do you like more milk chocolate or dark chocolate?”

Chara said, licking their lips as their mouth watered slightly.
“guys you need to get rid of floweys determination or he will be able to save and reset when frisk loses their determination”
“I lost the button for good. There are a few days between Frisk falling down and the beginning of the timeline, and I can’t save, load, or anything. Only with the use of the six souls can I hope to get that back and I do not want to go through the consequences of doing that. Nightmare is scary.” Flowey said, sighing.
“what will you do with frisk when they dont have anymore dt? are you gonna kill him”
“Yep. If that doesn’t kill them, we will.” Sci said, his face grim.
“Error, can you teach me how to make a plush?”
“Absolutely! I actually teach sewing classes every now and then.” Error said,
“Hey Frisk, if you are feeling so big why don't you try to come kill me? oh you can't? too bad, looks like you just get to listen to me till you lose, and believe me you will lose. You're not as special as you think? Poor frustrated little murderer, so sorry if I don't feel any pity.”
“Just you wait and see, I will kill you. I am a god.” Frisk spat, throwing their knife and landing it in Killer’s arm, the blade sticking out of the other side.
“You know a lot of people like to think of Geno, Error, and Fresh as brothers. They do have the same original creator and in a sense Error and Geno kinda are related very closely. So what do you guys think of this?”
“Not surprised. I actually like that, Fresh is pretty cool and Error is fun.” Geno said, watching the fight and getting ready to fight himself. He was rusty, but he could easily kill that brat.
“sanses you're not gonna kill flowey are you?”
“If we don’t have to, we won’t.” Sci said, smiling kindly.
“Chara what do you think of the skelebros?”

Chara said, content to watch Frisk receive a similar injury to Killer. In the exact same spot.
“to the sanses which one of you will be lucky enough to kill a human”
“Not sure. Depends on what happens.” Classic said.
“chara in the post genocide pacifist ending frisk looks like you after toriel leaves the room and then everyone died what's the explanation”

Chara spat, eyes glowing a dark red as dark red sparks flew off their body, it was slowly growing less transparent, though it regressed quickly when Chara calmed down.
“classic sans about how often do you get the hackers ending”
“Once. It was incredible to see their face next time around.” Classic said, grinning.
“Hey Blue, how do you feel about the whole thing that happened with Ink? Are you ok now? I support you fully!”
“I’m doing a lot better, I have bad days, five years is nothing to trauma. But I have an amazing support system and did seek professional help, so I’m doing great!” Blue said, he looked like he wanted to say something, but stopped himself as he looked down in shame.
“Nightmare, do you guys have a plan incase Ink DOES return somehow? Never hurts to have a backup plan.”
“We managed to remove the piece of code Ink uses to control us. So if he does come back, he’d need to make a new army. And thanks to the Creators, we managed to get it done on a multiversal level, so people that don’t know won’t be brought in against their will.” Nightmare said, “So I’d say that’s the best thing we can do.”
“Reaper do you remember when Ink brainwashed you to be a toddler and made you do embarrassing stuff? Thoughts?”
“Nope. And I could and lived without that information.” Reaper said, curling up into a ball.
“Also I took a look back at what happened in the story, with Ink I mean. Something happened to change him, he watched the multiverse deteriorate once. Lost his memories, gave into despair and forgot everything. Walked alone for who knows how long while something else built up inside. I think there was even more to the Ink issue than anyone first thought, I don't know though. Something about it still doesn't sit right with me.”
“The Creators filled us in on what happened.” Alt said, “I can’t help but feel a tiny bit sorry for him. He lost everything and became a monster. And you know what context I’m using.” Alt said, sighing.
“But the past is in the past. He ripped his soul to shreds, heck, I even looked for them while he waited to kill Ink. But I couldn’t find them, though we do know he remembered the old multiverse.” Dream said, looking at Alt who had walked in the room he was in.
“Oh yeah, and I feel the need to remind Reaper that he is also adorable!”
“I am the incarnation of death. The embodiment of the act of dying! I am not adorable, baka!” Death said, grumbling before he realized what he said.
“flowey your a jerk why don't you let people have a perfect happy ending in their first run”
“Because I’m a jerk.”
“frisk can you tell me what you think of true lab?”
“Creepy.” Frisk said, a knife lodging itself in their throat as they collapsed.
“You’re not the only one who can throw.” Killer said, flipping the kid’s corpse off.
“sans can you help me make a trash tornado like the one in your room”
“Sure. You just snap your fingers and make a tornado.” Classic said, winking.
“sans are you ness?”
“Yes, I am a ness. But I thought it was obvious. All Sanses are a mess.” Classic said, and Papyrus groans could be heard.
“sans i imagine it must be really hard to treat frisk like a good person when they are doing a pacifist path when you know their sins”
“It is so hard. Just glad I don’t have to deal with them any longer.” Classic said.
“Outer what do you think of Error's love for your AU? He likes it a lot, in case you didn't now.”
“A lot of people do. So it’s not unusual. Why’d you ask?” Outer said, grinning like a cheshire cat.
“Hey Geno, Reaper. you guys are shipped a lot too.”
“Do not remind me.” Geno said, “I had to cut contact with the creators because of that.”
“I’ve been trying to get to him, but everyone keeps finding ways to keep me away from him.” Reaper said, pouting.
“papyrus why did you think toriel was asgore's clone?”
“I had never seen her before. What was I supposed to think?” Papyrus said, and Toriel laughed.
“alphys I think mew mew kissy cutie 2 is better than the first one”
“HOW?! It completely ruins the characters and destroys the world building! How?!” Alphys said and Undyne chuckled as her girlfriend.
