im suee the chronic pain besties will relate but i learned last night that I've been severely underrating my pain for almost two years because nobody ever bothered to explain what the numbers on a 1-10 pain scale meant

#oliver talks about himself again #chronic pain #if youre curious ive been rating my daily pain 1-2 for months when it's really a 3-5 #and my spikes as a 3-4 (sometimes 5) when they're a 7/8 #so like #idk there was a point here but i can't find one anymore #i just wonder if it had been different if I'd been able to communicate #if people would've listened to me more #if my inability to stand for 10-15 + minutes would've been seen as justified instead of as me being lazy #if i would've been able to try to get back into pt #if and if and if #and i don't know and i don't know if any of it could've been fixed #(probably not bc [reasons])#but maybe there would've been more idk sympathy than “well you don't need surgery so suffer ig”#idk #surgery mention
