Being a very very very casual sports watcher means that who I support is entirely based on who my family supports or where I have family from so I've never seen a cricket match but I know I support Somerset (even though I'm not from Somerset) cause my Grandad supports Somerset (he is from Somerset). I've never seen a non international football match but I know I support Rovers not city because I was asked once and didn't know what to say so i mentally tossed a coin and said city and when I got home I was immediately told that was not the right answer.

#it also means i will casually see a result about my grandad's home football team and go oh that's a shame or oh that's good #i don't support any premier League team though cause I've never asked my grandad whether he supports any premier League team lol #if i were to guess it would be arsenal Brentford or chelsea based roughly on where in London his mum was from #god i hope it's not Chelsea i don't know why i just don't want to support chelsea #i think maybe it's just because it's associated with the area of chelsea #the only sports I'm not changing the channel on unless it's an international final is tennis swimming and gymnastics #swimming and gymnastics because I'm used to do synchronised swimming andbtennis because my granny was apparently pretty good #so my opa used to play with us sometimes #maybe rugby as well #also for international sports it means I'll also support wales germany south Africa and Netherlands just because i have family #also scotland #i have a distinct memory of the 2010 world cup and being told in no uncertain terms by my Dutch uncle that we had to support the Netherland
