okay hello this is kind of a long-winded story but your most recent zukka yuri reminded me of it

so i was in some kind of online lesbian situationship with this girl we'll call R, we tried to meet up irl like three separate times but one or both of us had to cancel each time. ANYWAY, over the summer i was rewatching atla and getting really hyperfixated on it, and i would send R these really rambly voice notes about it and she would respond despite having never seen the show. and like. i started shipping zukka

not really in the zukka fandom anymore (not because i don't like it or anything, just bc i've been swept up by a load of other hyperfixations lmao) but at the time i was a REALLY BIG FAN. like i was planning an entire rewrite of the show where sokka and zuko were girls. like it was severe. then miraculously i found your blog, the holy grail of zukka yuri. i sometimes sent some of your art to R just for fun on like whatsapp and shit. we kind of bonded over it??

then, christ. we had each other's adresses bc we were going to send each other christmas/birthday cards. i cannot stress this enough: CARDS. like i was fully certain on my bday i was getting a lovely CARD from R. so you can imagine my surprise when i got an entire package from another country. and like at first i was really excited bc in what crazy world does the girl you like send you a birthday present from abroad? then i opened it.

sitting on top of 2 novels was a cut out, on shitty A4 printer paper, of butch zuko.

i opened this in front of my MOTHER.

so i metaphorically shat myself, laughed the art off like "haha R must think i really like zuko! aha. ha" and then had to be normal while looking at the 2 entire novels she had sent me along with like a collage of magazine cutout flowers??? which was really beautiful but also a lot???

anyways, we're not really together anymore. the spark kind if just fizzled out.

but i just wanted to say sorry bc R probably didn't pay for a print or anything so chances are you didn't profit from this shenanigan which is a tragedy tbh.

i don't think R will ever see this but if she does... dude that was like the funniest thing to ever happen to me. in hindsight. at the time i had never been so embarrassed in all my life. lots of love? ❤
