A/N: EEK I LOVED WRITING THIS. i didn't describe the reader's swimsuit because i don't know what everyone is comfortable with so i let you kinda imagine it however u want! i'm not sure how many more parts i can get out of this idea, there'll definitely be at least one more lmk what u think tho

He said please. 

Grayson didn’t lack manners. It’s not that he didn’t know how to say please and thank you. But he also wasn’t the kind of person to throw around a plea lightly. Grayson Hawthorne was, well, a Hawthorne. The name itself was a demand, not requiring a please. But he’d felt the need to say please to you. 

Maybe you were overthinking it. 

Or maybe you were still in denial, like Avery said you were. 

The texts came in at eight at night, too, which only raised more questions in your mind. If he wanted to talk to you, why hadn’t he just found you? Or simply texted you to meet somewhere? You didn’t understand why he’d felt the need to use the 911; you would’ve come if he’d just told you to go to the pool. 

Hawthornes did tend to have a flare for dramatics, you supposed. 

You had no idea why Grayson wanted you to meet him at the pool. He was a swimmer, sure, but that was very much his personal time. Grayson didn’t often appreciate people watching or joining him in the pool. But, you figured there was a chance he expected you to.

So you found yourself at her door again. Despite the faint conversation you could hear from inside, you knocked. 

Avery took longer than last time to open the door. “What’s up?” She asked. 

“Hey. Uh, do you have a swimsuit I could borrow?”

She frowned slightly, confused. “I mean I do, yeah, but why-”

You didn’t even have to say anything. You just showed her your phone screen with the text messages. Her eyes widened as she read them and she immediately opened the door wider for you. “Get the hell in here.”

Avery was already digging through the grand dresser. As you entered the room behind her, you noticed Jameson sitting on the floor in front of a deck of cards, giving you a curious look. “What-”

“Not now, Jamie,” Avery quickly answered. “Girl problem.”

That shut him up. 

“Don’t mind him,” she told you, turning back around with a few items in hand. “We were just playing solitaire.”

You raised an eyebrow. “Together? Isn’t that a one player game?”

“His idea, not mine. Managed to turn it into a competition too, somehow,” Avery shrugged. Jameson gasped dramatically but she continued before he could speak, bringing your attention back to why you asked for help. “So, I’ve actually never worn this one before, you could keep it if you want. Or-”

“That one’s fine,” you interrupted, taking it from her. “Can I change in your bathroom?” “Oh, uh, yeah, sure I guess,” Avery answered, clearly confused as to why you were so quick to answer. “Sorry, I’m just trying to get there as soon as I can. Thanks.”

You didn’t change completely, just putting it on and putting your clothes back on over it. You didn’t plan on getting into the water, but it was worth being prepared.

As you were stepping out of the room and thanking Avery, Jameson called, “Say hi to Gray for me.”

Your head snapped back. “What?”

“Come on,” he smirked. “He’s practically the only person who uses the pool, especially at this time. So tell him I said hi.”

Shaking your head, you just ignored him. Jameson was the type of person who could read people well, so odds are he probably already knew he was right. But you didn’t want to give even more of a reaction to him than you already had. 

Avery grabbed your arm though, before you left. “Hey, hey, good luck.”

You thanked her and left, just hoping Jameson wouldn’t try to watch from the window.

The cool night air hit you sharply as you stepped outside. It hadn’t been too chilly during the day, but you now found yourself wishing you were in more than just shorts and a thin hoodie.

Shivering, you made your way over to the pool. Your mind was racing the whole way there, but there wasn’t really anything else for you to be wondering. Grayson had asked for you to come to the pool, presumably either to swim with him or just because he was most comfortable there. Either way, it was pretty clear that he wanted to discuss what happened when he was drunk. But you still didn’t understand why he sent the 911. 

Good thing you were on your way to finding out. 

The pool deck was empty, save for a few lounge chairs. The fancy cushioned kind, the ones you would only find at a hotel. And the Hawthorne mansion, of course. 

On one of the chairs were two neatly folded towels- two. So he did expect you to get in the water with him? Where was he anyway? If he’d already brought out towels, why wasn’t he-

Splash.

You’d been too caught up in your thoughts and the sound of your heart racing in your chest to realize that Grayson was, in fact, already in the pool. Swimming laps because he was Grayson Hawthorne, so of course he was swimming laps when the sun had already set and the only light in the sky was that of the stars. 

Swimming had never really been your thing, so you didn’t know the exact stroke, but you would’ve been a liar if you said you weren't somewhat mesmerized. The way his arms went up and out, the way his fingers glided along the surface before entering the water once again. His legs kicked together, the movement fast and almost indiscernible under the blue of surrounding him. 

Grayson came up for air so quickly you couldn’t even make out his face, but your eyes caught on the way his hair flicked up with his head. It was certainly a skill, and he managed it so gracefully. You struggled to look away.

Thankfully, you were pulled out of your stare when he suddenly reached the wall nearest to you. Grayson’s hands touched the edge of the pool in perfect sync. You could see the red in his face, the tire he was giving himself from swimming. You wondered how long he’d been there before you found him.

Grayson met your eyes with a tired smile as he caught his breath. “You came.”

“You said 911,” you explained, sitting on the edge of the chair where he’d set the towels. “I figured it was pretty important.” 

“Yes, I did.” He nodded. “We do only get one of those a year, so I’d appreciate it if you didn’t mention that to any of my brothers.”

“Got it.”

He was avoiding the elephant in the room. 

“Would you like to join me?”

You stared at him. “Excuse me?” 

“You’re excused,” he said. “Would you like to join me?”

Was he really just going to ignore the fact that he’d sent you such an urgent message? A 911 could’ve meant he was dying, for all you knew when you’d first received it. And what, it was because he wanted to go for a swim with you? There was more he wasn’t saying and you just wanted to yell at him to spit it out. 

Instead, you responded calmly. 

“Join you in the pool?”

Grayson looked you up and down and shook his head. “I suppose you can’t really, not without proper swimwear.”

You got in the pool in a suit when you were drunk, you didn’t say. 

“I have a bathing suit on under this,” you explained. “I just… why do I need to get in the water? Can’t you just tell me what’s going on?”

He took a deep breath. 

“I’ve decided I owe you an apology. For what happened.” You knew immediately what he was referring to. “I was reckless and foolish and unintentionally put the burden of myself onto you. It would have been easier for you to just leave me be, but you dealt with my mess. I appreciate that.” 

The silence that followed was only interrupted by the gentle lapping of the pool.

“See why I figured you should get in?” He asked. “We’d be at an even level. Better suited for such a conversation.”

“Or you could just get out,” you offered. 

“Please?” 

That word again.

Grayson Hawthorne knew what he was doing. 

“Fine,” you groaned, but really only half annoyed. You turned around as you began to take off the layers above the swimsuit, watching him in the corner of your eye as he looked away respectfully.

The cold hit you even harder now that you had removed your hoodie, and you hoped that the pool was well heated. 

“Okay, okay.” You began walking over to the edge of the pool where Grayson was. When his eyes found you, he stared for a little longer than normal before answering.

“You’re nervous,” he observed. “Can you swim?”

You shrugged, taking another step closer. “I know how to stop myself from drowning.”

Grayson moved out of your way and you sat on the edge of the pool with your feet getting wet. It was heated, thankfully. Comfortably so. No wonder he loved to come here at night. 

He was watching you silently. You couldn’t tell what he was thinking, and it was killing you. Not that anyone could ever tell what Grayson Hawthorne hid behind those piercing eyes, but yet another question amidst everything that had happened that week was too much.

Of course he’s a mystery, he’s a Hawthorne. 

Before you could overthink it even further, you got in.

The warmth of the water enveloped you, contrasting greatly with the chill of the night air. You were holding onto the wall, not planning on letting go because your swimming skills were just barely above that of a child starting swim lessons. But Grayson’s intense gaze kept your heart racing. 

He swam towards you, grabbing onto the wall a little closer but still leaving a respectful distance between you. “Do you know why I sent the 911?”

“No,” you admitted. “It scared me.”

“I apologize for that. I panicked.”

You hadn’t expected that confession from him.

“You panicked?”

He nodded slowly. “I was afraid you’d think less of me after how I acted. You haven’t spoken to me in days, so I wasn’t sure you’d come otherwise.” The vulnerability in his voice was tangible.

“It’s not that I’ve been trying to avoid you, Grayson,” you explained. “I just… I mean, you haven’t spoken to me either.”

“I thanked you, I thought we were past what happened. I didn’t think we needed to talk about it.”

“You thanked me and then flirted and walked away.”

Grayson raised an eyebrow. “Did I?”

“You know very well what you did,” you said, trying to hide the blush on your face. 

He swam a little closer. His voice dropped to the same sincere tone it had adopted back when he was drunk. When you’d told him to be careful and he’d cupped your face. When he said he’d never hurt you, never. 

“Perhaps I do. But that doesn’t change the fact that I burdened you with my drunk self.”

“You’re not a burden, Grayson,” you told him, also pushing yourself closer to him along the wall. “It was no problem, really. Just a little entertaining.”

He chuckled, and you couldn’t tell if it was genuine or bitter. 

The way he was looking at you was making you feel something. Something you couldn’t name but… didn’t quite hate. You started to move yourself a little closer to him until-

Splash.

Your hand slipped off the edge of the pool, accidentally sending you back. Not exceptionally far or deep into the pool, but enough to make you panic. You could keep yourself afloat, sure, but not when you were suddenly pushed away from the only solid thing keeping your head above water.

But before you could fully let the panic set in, a strong arm wrapped around your waist and pulled you upwards.

The sensation of being lifted was disorienting. You were overwhelmed by the sudden rush of water and movement, then the lack of water as your head reached the surface again. Even if you’d barely been below the water for a few seconds, you found yourself gasping for air. 

Grayson’s arm around you was the only steady thing in the chaos.

“Hey, hey” Grayson spoke, and it took a moment for your startled mind to process the words. “You’re okay, I’ve got you.”

You blinked rapidly, trying to focus. It took a moment for your breathing to calm down, but you helped yourself by rationalizing it; you’d been under the water for maybe five seconds, there was no need to panic so much.

The shock had just gotten you.

His voice broke through again, focusing your vision and hearing on him. “Just breathe, in and out. Nice and slow, just like that.”

You followed his instructions, taking deep breaths. Your panic began to fade, and you became painfully aware of how close he now was to you, the proximity at which he held you.

Grayson didn’t let go as you calmed down, simply keeping you tucked protectively in his arm as if the water was threatening you. He used his free hand to reach up and brush a wet strand of hair from your face behind your ear. The gesture was so gentle, so careful, that you felt your heart flutter.

“Are you alright?” He asked. 

You nodded. “Yeah, yeah, I think so. Thank you.”

He only nodded in return, his usually sharp gray eyes beginning to soften as he stared down at you. He didn’t move his hand away after moving the hair out of your face. It stayed there, lingering around your ear, until he decided to move down, cupping your face.

Surprisingly, it wasn’t the first time that shirtless Grayson Hawthorne was holding your face in his large hands and looking at you in a way that was more than an annoyed glance. 

But it felt different this time. More intense, more real. 

He wasn’t drunk, not hungover; there was no doubt in your mind that he really meant everything. His eyes were still locked on yours with an emotion that you couldn’t quite place, yet somehow felt deep within your core. 

He leaned forward, so close to you that your foreheads were almost touching. His eyes fluttered shut and you realized what was happening only after you felt the words he whispered against your lips-

“I’m sorry.”

Grayson closed the small gap between you, gently pressing his lips to yours. The kiss was soft, almost hesitant at first, like he was giving you the chance to pull away or tell  him to stop. But when you didn’t, when you leaned into the kiss, the arm around you tightened.

Your hands moved on their own, both sliding their way up to rest on his chest. He responded to your touch with a low hum that made you shiver despite the heated pool. 

His arm moved up to the back of your head, pushing you impossibly closer to him. The kiss grew more urgent, more desperate, like he was trying to express every emotion he’d been hiding for the past week. It was overwhelming, and for a moment nothing existed outside of you and Grayson Davenport Hawthorne.

When he pulled back, you kept your eyes closed. Grayson placed a small kiss on your forehead before resting it against his own. You were so close now, much closer than before, but that didn’t matter anymore.

“I’ve wanted to do that for a while now,” he admitted softly.

“Me too, Grayson,” you grinned. “Me too.”

When he kissed you again, he tasted like those stupid cherries he loved and felt like the end of the world.

Clutching at your mid-length pencil skirt, you walked up to Eunseok who was busy post processing the photos from yesterday’s shoot.

He seemed to notice your presence, and so he waved at you.

“Hey! I’ve been looking for you.”

You let out an inaudible gasp.

“Y-you were?”

He pulled out a swivel chair and gestured for you to sit beside him.

Just the thought of sitting beside your work crush aka your team’s lead photographer made you nervous.

You obliged and took the seat next to him.

“So, I’ve been wanting to show you the photos from the collab with Ami Paris and ask if you can get the graphics done by next week Tues?”

You swallowed the lump in your throat…

Right, he was only looking for you because of work.

“Actually, Eunseok, I- I sent them over earlier for your feedback.”

His eyes lit up like a kid. “You’re awesome. I guess I haven't checked my mail yet. Hehe.”

The smile he gave you, the tiny clutch on your chair… all these made your heart race.

“Uhm, Eunseok… can I ask you something?” 

“Yes, but don’t ask me for money. I don’t have that shit.” He joked, proud of his humor. 

He grinned right after catching a glance of his phone.

“I was thinking of going to that newly opened speakeasy after work? Y-you wanna check it out with me?”

Eunseok looked up after a millisecond of staring into his phone again.

He hesitated for a moment before responding, "That sounds nice, but I actually have plans tonight."

A flicker of curiosity crossed your face. "Ah, really? Anything fun?"

He gave you a sheepish smile. "Yeah, I’ve got a date.”

“A real, hot date.”

He showed you his phone, and in it was a picture of the model from the S/S 2025 shoot that  your team did a month ago

And yep, that was a thirst trap right before your eyes.

Long, slim legs against the pilates reformer, check.

And a low cut Alo sports bra that showcased her erm…. double check.

A moment of disappointment passed over you, but you quickly masked it with a joking smile.

Eunseok’s eyes drifted back to his phone, and you saw him send a shocked emoji to the story of his real, hot date.

“I sure am. Gotta go.” Eunseok replied, his tone genuine yet distant. "Catch you later."

As you turned to leave, you couldn’t help but notice the way his gaze lingered on his phone, already lost in anticipation of the evening ahead. The office seemed to close around you as you straightened down the folds of your button down linen shirt.

You felt nothing but the bra gap in your 34Bs.

Unbeknownst to you, somebody was watching you.

A sudden, rather conspicuous sound interrupted your thoughts—a cough, a bit too deliberate to be mistaken for anything but an attempt to attract attention. You glanced over your shoulder and saw Sungchan right behind you.

You took a step back and landed on his chest. 

Well, fuck. That’s a muscular chest.

The firmness against your back was a stark contrast to what you’d expected.

Sungchan’s chest felt rock hard, and this caused you to doubt reality. He usually wore loose, oversized clothes to work. The realization was jarring, and admittedly, you were stunned by the contact.

Sungchan's hands instinctively gripped your shoulders to steady you. The touch, though brief, sent a peculiar shiver through you. It was an innocent gesture, but there was something about his touch that had you feeling strange down there.

Fuck again, because you’ve been sex-deprived. 

You couldn’t even remember the last time you’ve been with a man. Maybe six, seven years ago? The new toy from Temu is not that powerful, btw.

Sungchan had been a fixture in the office for some time now- though he had never quite settled into the role of a familiar face. He’d appeared one day, unceremoniously, without much introduction to the rest of the team. 

From what you could gather, he and your boss, Shotaro were part-timers for a different clothing company right before Shotaro opened up his own clothing line, and that Sungchan was someone pirated to be a set builder for the photo shoots. Other than being a set builder, you really didn’t know his purpose for standing like a lamp post for the whole duration of the shoots your team did.

“Whoa, sorry!” you quickly apologized, stepping away, your voice betraying a hint of the confusion you felt. “I didn’t see you there.”

Sungchan’s face flushed a deeper shade of red, and he cleared his throat awkwardly. “No, it’s okay. I should have said something earlier. Uh, anyway, I didn’t mean to listen, but does your offer still stand?”

The question caught you by surprise. 

“What do you mean?”

He paused for a moment, then added, “I overheard your invite to Eunseok, If the offer’s still on the table, I happen to know the owner of that speakeasy, so I can pull some strings and get us a good seat. He’s been wanting me to check it out, but I didn’t wanna drink alone.”

Your eyebrows raised in surprise. “Oh, really? Well, I wasn’t expecting this, but...”

He leaned on the wall and crossed his arms while his eyes followed your lips.

Good Lord, why was he like that???

“But?”

You studied his expression for a moment, the earlier touch still lingering in your thoughts. 

Yeah, what’s there to lose? It’s not a date anyway.

“Yeah, why not?”

The corners of his mouth curved into a smirk. “See you there? Around 8?”

As he walked away, you couldn't help but wonder what this evening would bring.

 It wasn’t a date—just two colleagues hanging out—but something about the way he looked at you made it feel different, almost thrilling.

The speakeasy was dimly lit, with Honey by Raveena filling the air. 

You arrived just before 8, scanning the room until you spotted Sungchan. 

He looked effortlessly cool in a simple black shirt and an oversized leather jacket, his presence commanding yet understated.

You felt incredibly out of place with your linen shirt, brown cardigan and tiny pearl earrings.

As you approached, he stood and gave you a nod, pulling out a chair for you. "Hey, you made it," he said, his tone warm but reserved.

"Yeah, wouldn't miss it," you replied, taking your seat and almost tripping on your black boots.

“Careful there.”

Long before you knew, his hand was already at the small of your back- ready to catch you.

The conversation flowed easily, with Sungchan proving to be an attentive listener. 

Unlike Eunseok's playful banter and slapstick humor, Sungchan's manner was gallant and curt- and a bit mysterious. 

You would jump from one topic to another, but you swore, his eyes were on your lips the whole time.

What the fuck? Does he want a kiss? Because damn, he’s good looking, and I can use a kiss or two.

Oh seriously? Fuck your sexual frustrations.

You found yourself intrigued by him, though unsure if you were attracted to him or simply sexually frustrated.

He ordered drinks for both of you- one margarita with smoked salt and one glass of negroni, ensuring you had everything you needed- from the way he brought the hand sanitizer closer to you and even asked if you wanted to order more.

“Yeah, I always see you use alcohol sprays.” He mumbled.

It was just his mere observation, but you felt a knot in your stomach.

You had to speak to interrupt your delusion. “I like this place. Tell your friend my congratulations on the opening of his cocktail bar. Wonbin, was it?”

He nodded, examining how your tongue licked the rim of the glass.

So this is what snakes in the zoo cage felt like.

Just as the evening seemed to be settling into a comfortable rhythm, his phone buzzed. He glanced at the screen, his expression shifting to one of concern and frustration. "I'm really sorry, but I need to go. It’s Shoraro, and he needs help.”

You grimaced, appreciating his straightforwardness. “Go, go. It’s our boss.”

He stood, reaching for his wallet. "I'll cover the drinks. Again, sorry about this."

"Don't worry about it," you said, genuinely meaning it. Sungchan had been a perfect gentleman, and you couldn't fault him for needing to leave.

Besides, Shotaro’s not the type to call after work-hours. It had to be something important.

As Sungchan was about to head out, you instinctively went in for a friendly hug-  a habit from your interactions with friends before parting ways. Sungchan froze before deciding to lean in as well, and in an unplanned moment, his lips brushed against your lower lip. The touch was brief but electric, leaving you dazed.

He pulled back, eyes wide with surprise. "I... uh, sorry," he stammered for the first time tonight.

You shook your head quickly, feeling a rush of unexpected warmth. "It's fine. Really. Stupid me, actually!”

Sungchan gave you a small, almost shy smile before turning to leave. "I'll see you around," he said, his voice soft but certain.

As he walked away, you couldn't help but touch your lip where his had brushed against, a strange mix of emotions swirling inside you. The night had been cut short, but it left you with more questions than answers about Sungchan.

anyway , I think I've made this comic lighter towards the end of this comic (both on purpose with the backgrounds and story lol) but this ending I hope is a combination of bittersweet and hopeful. Y/n gets to have a new family and connection to humanity that I think would be beneficial. 

How they’d take finding out Y/n is a VAMPIRE is it’s own can of worms that you can decide for yourself how would go down. Best outcome is that Y/n continues to watch over the generations influenced by Vanessa and her family during their immortality. 

Gregory and Cassie still haven’t been introduced in the Naff’s Cryptid Sightings universe by the time I post this, so if/when they are their characterization most likely will be different. And ggy likely won’t be placed in the au. Which is completely understandable! Tho an alternative path following canon fnaf more with 3 star fam, ggy n such is a concept I LOVE in the Cryptid Sightings world! I’ll go into it more ltr

Greg and Cass already have cryptid parents but now they get Uncle Eclipse and Uncle/Aunt/Pibling/Auncle/Etc Y/n. And Y/n gets to have one more purpose in protecting these ppl they will grow to care a lot about that knew Vanessa when Y/n couldn’t connect with her. Lots of sharing stories abt Vanessa occurs.

I’ll joke abt this in the extras & memes part but I think It would be so funny if Y/n can one moment be depressed and then Eclipse mentions Cass & Greg and they’re like “RIGHT I NEED TO PLAN HOW IM GONNA SPOIL THEM FOR THEIR BIRTHDAY” or “I LOST TO GREGORY LAST TIME IT WON’T HAPPEN AGAIN” or “I NEED TO CHECK UP ON THEM AND MAKE SURE THEY’RE ACTUALLY RESTING AFTER THEY FOUGHT THAT CRYPTID”

Eclipse is simultaneously grateful they have a new source of motivation, they haven’t seen you like this in a while, and he doesn’t dislike Gregory or Cassie. BUT since Cassie and Gregory are still Cryptid Hunters, it isn’t IDEAL lmao

On to elaborating on the comic: I love 3 star fam (by extension cassie) and Vanessa had growth offscreen so now her dying wish to y/n is like:

The video she made that y/n sees at the end is when she was first entertaining the idea of y/n possibly still having their humanity, but still wasn’t sure. It was a video that she only ever planned on y/n seeing if she either died and/or she was sure y/n was still human in some regard. She wanted to leave y/n with something in that scenario.

Vanessa here meeting Vanessa in Cryptid Sightings and Lost episode canon would certainly be something. Vanessas from canon Cryptid Sightings would just. Not know how Vanessa got over it and neither does Ness here know

Also, there are some details for this canon divergence au that are completely settled to me and other details I don't have a solid idea for. Like, I'm not SET on how Nessie and Greg would meet, ness and Cass, if it would be at the same time, who would be doing the glitchtrapping.  Prob becuz some of those are still unclear in canon canon FNAF and others I'm just indecisive

Also the possession being done by the same cryptid wouldn’t be possible with Cryptid sighting’s universe rules so. I’m not gonna bother figuring out those details for this comic. 

But I do love the idea of Nessie growing closer to Greg and Cass and at least Ness and Greg sharing a bond over dealing with Glitchtrap

The wizards FAVORITE now being in same universe as demonic cryptids that would absolutely want to slaughter Glitchtrap for possessing a KID? Making him kill multiple people, including a kid his age? Tasty. Scrumptious. I want to make a separate post just thinking Abt how canon crew for cryptid sightings might react to GGY, especially Cryptid Sun & Moon/Eclipse. I'll save most of that rambling for that potential post since there's so much angst potential. 

While im here, I’ll ask. Naff, how would Eclipse react to a child, possessed by a demonic cryptid, having killed other children? Or. Is that a spoiler since these characters could be introduced in a reunion work and whether Cassie gets possessed to mirror canon fnaf is still up in the air? 👀

Tho I don't expect to see GGY in any continuations of cryptid sightings lol I don't know how that would work when cryptid sightings already has laid down rules for possession in that universe and Glitchtrap is already gone. I'll happily see what Gregory and Freddy are like when they (hopefully) appear in future continuations of cryptid sightings

To follow canon canon FNAF (or at least the fanon built off of the scrapped security breach canon as well as what stayed in sb), Vanessa would be saved by Gregory and Freddy, I'm undecided if Cassie would join in sooner or later. Nessie would regardless have to stomach being around kids that remind her of her trauma since she can't just fully IGNORE them. Gregory would have no one since I love the angst of the theory he killed his loving family as GGY 

So. Nessie would probably know that and it would make the situation hard.

Vanessa would grow a bond with Gregory and Freddy at some point, Gregory has a head start  due to. Y'know. Glitchtrap. Hard to not have some sort of connection to the kid that went through what you did too.

Anyway, Vanessa here would be saved by Gregory and Freddy to match up with canon. Or at least, the fanon I subscribe to for security breach since canon was lack luster and scrapped all the good ideas for Vanessa last minute.

Nessie and Gregory would have the shared experience of dealing with Glitchtrap trauma and Cassie gets roped, just like canon, with the whole Mimic situation. Then Nessie has two kids that she can't fully ignore but also can't stomach COMPLETELY being there for. Fun.

But since I adore 3 star fam too much, Vanessa is able to grow attached to Gregory like a big sister eventually (i adore big sis nessie dkljssfkld look at @/boringa55binch 's stuff you'll get ITTT)

When I'd imagine Cassie would be introduced, I bet Nessie would have a harder time with her around since what we've seen of Cassie in canon is only of her getting fooled. I bet Nessie would have a harder time around her for that reason.

But it's not like she COULD leave them completely alone since she's the one with the most cryptid hunting experience. And if these kids are SO INSISTENT about getting into trouble, fine. She owes them after all

I've been undecided if Cassie would be apart of the gang when Nessie is saved so that's up in the air for what ppls like most

Time skip is about 20-30 years ltr I've determined so, Ness did die when she was relatively young. (The circumstances of how she died are a plot device yes i will admit shush it isn’t terribly important sorry jklfdsjksfd)

I'm not the greatest at drawing aged characters so there you have it, Cassie and Gregory are in their late twenties early thirties.

Nessie knows it is a gamble to ask Y/n this favor. But, she's a worried big sis, being around Roxy and Freddy I bet would have softened her heart to the general idea of cryptids not being bad, and y/n doesn't seem to be bad atm. It could be a ghost that'll haunt watch over them, or Nessie's best friend can continue to be long distance buds with Nessie's new family.

And if Y/n was truly gone and all that remained was the vampire tendencies, by this point she has trust Gregory, Cassie, Freddy, and Roxy can keep each other safe. If it was truly a mistake to give y/n her trust.

So, that's why y/n hypes themself up and visits the graveyard when Gregory is there. And it did take a lot out of them but y'know I like the idea of y/n getting close with the gang.

It does make the next cryptid reunion a little weird.

Like, imagine both describing Vanessa in previous reunions, and NOW they're finding out it was the same person.

They can't die yet! They still have memes to send to these kids! Jokes to tell! Series to make them binge with Y/n over a call! This is the gosh darn happiest Eclipse has seen them in decades!!

Flipping between seeing Gregory and Cassie as their nephew and niece and competing with Freddy and Roxy over the title of parent. Regardless of age. (they joke but Y/n never actually competes for the title, they are much too anxious of doing something wrong. Plus, Roxy and Freddy would be pretty tough to beat)

I also think it would be hilarious if Y/n sent out Eclipse with a chancla when Gregory does a Human Hero Complex goof up that painfully reminds y/n of their Human Hero Complex goof ups. He isn't allowed to make the same mistakes without consequence. And y/n WILL stay back in the bushes with goggles to SEE IT HAPPEN. Eclipse ain't worried abt y/n's mental state when they're too invested with their Nephew and Niece.

Cryptid Sightings doesn't have Cassie or Gregory in their cast of characters yet so (i think I mentioned this earlier but still), this could age. As of writing this, no reunion fic has been published. Might make a note of that if I release this after the fact. But still. Indulge with me in the hyjinks. I haven’t even begun on Freddy being a dad to y/n and possible Roxy dynamic with y/n lolll.

The bombshell that will be Y/n revealed to be a Vampire is still up in the air like I said earlier. But, y'know, it might go better this time.

Y/n hopes for that. Hopes. Funny, you haven't smiled this much in a while.

Vanessa's death hurts. Both of them were too young for their fates. It hurt especially when they were saying goodbye for the very last time. Nessie's death was coming and Y/n knew that, but at the same time. Y/n can focus on caring about people Nessie cared about. People Nessie trusted them to care for.

I like the idea of Y/n continuing to watch over and keep in contact with the people Nessie has impacted in some way. Nessie to Gregory and Cassie to whoever they inspire and have become their successors. And they got so much more they are looking forward to now. Knowing humans and sticking around them even digitally has its risks but I think it could be pretty grounding. They have even more dates to look forward to aside from halloween. Which, will be fun to celebrate with Gregory and Cassie fam.

They can't wait to do some more living.

waaa well hello there, timezones are something so its no longer halloween for me, in that case im going to give you a treat! (or a trick depends on how you feel about it lol)

This was a scrapped 31 days fic that i just couldnt get the emotions i wanted across for, for this concept so i scrapped it, i might finish it who knows. I did like the beginning tho so here it is:

The mess hall buzzed with the usual hum of chatter—trays clattering, boots shuffling across the concrete floor, and the steady hum of conversation filling the space. Ghost sat alone at his usual table, tucked away in the corner. His massive form, clad in black fatigues, hunched over his tray, the familiar skull mask firmly in place. He was a fixture here, a constant presence, yet untouchable in a way that few could truly comprehend.

At a nearby table, a group of new recruits whispered among themselves. Most of them kept their eyes firmly on their meals, but one recruit—young, fresh-faced, and green in a way that practically screamed inexperience—kept casting glances towards Ghost. The others avoided doing so. They knew better. This recruit, however, was different. He hadn’t yet learnt the unspoken rules that governed the base. He hadn’t grasped the respect Ghost commanded—not through fear or intimidation, but something far deeper.

To him, the Task Force 141 were just men. Men who bled, who trained, who ate meals in the same mess hall. But the way others talked about them, about him—about Ghost—it gnawed at the recruit. The hushed stories, the reverence, the way others spoke of Ghost like he was something more than human—it irritated him. How could a man be so untouchable?

The recruit set his tray down and stood, the scrape of his chair drawing a few curious glances from the nearby tables. He ignored them, his pulse quickening as he made his way across the hall towards Ghost’s table. His steps faltered slightly when he noticed the shift in the air around him. Conversations quieted just a little as people realised where he was headed. Eyes flicked up, quickly, before darting away, as if they already knew something was about to happen.

Ghost didn’t look up. He was focused on his meal, oblivious—or perhaps just unconcerned—by the approaching recruit. The recruit hesitated for the briefest moment, his hand twitching at his side. But the uncertainty vanished as quickly as it had appeared, replaced by reckless determination. This was his chance—his chance to prove that the mystique around Ghost was just that. An illusion.

He reached out, fingers brushing the edge of Ghost’s mask.

There was a sharp intake of breath from a nearby table. Someone's tray clattered a little too loudly. A soldier’s spoon froze halfway to their mouth. But no one said anything. No one moved.

The recruit’s heart pounded in his chest as he gripped the edge of the mask, the fabric cool under his fingers. In one swift motion, he pulled it off.

For a moment, it felt like the world had stopped.

Ghost’s face—pale, scarred, rugged—was revealed to the dim fluorescent light of the mess hall. The recruit stepped back, holding the mask, his breath caught in his throat. He had done it. He’d unmasked the infamous Ghost. But instead of the uproar he expected—shock, gasps, whispered gossip—the mess hall was eerily silent.

The recruit glanced around, waiting for a reaction. But what he saw was far from what he had anticipated. No one was staring in shock, no one was gawking. Instead, the soldiers around him had averted their eyes. Some stared intensely at their trays, pushing their food around as if it were suddenly the most interesting thing in the world. Others turned their heads towards the far walls, blankly watching the distant exit or the floor beneath their boots. Anything but the man now sitting unmasked before them.

It wasn’t fear. It wasn’t the kind of silence that followed a disaster or a confrontation. It was something much deeper—an unspoken understanding, a shared respect for the man who had earned his place in their world through blood, grit, and quiet leadership. They weren’t looking away because they were afraid of what Ghost might do. They were looking away because they knew Ghost. They knew that his mask wasn’t just fabric and paint—it was part of him, a barrier he chose to maintain, not out of mystery or intimidation, but because it was his choice. His privacy. His boundary.

Ghost didn’t flinch. He didn’t lunge or make any move that suggested he was rattled. Instead, he slowly lifted his gaze to the recruit, his expression calm, almost indifferent. His eyes, a cold, steely brown, met the recruit’s with a steady, almost lazy kind of patience.

The recruit’s heart stuttered. This wasn’t right. This wasn’t how it was supposed to go. He had expected outrage, anger—something. But the silence weighed heavier with every passing second, and now, as he stood there holding the mask, he felt more vulnerable than ever.

Ghost raised an eyebrow, just the slightest quirk of his brow, as if mildly curious. Then, he extended his hand, palm open, waiting. His voice, when it came, was quiet but commanding, cutting through the stillness of the hall.

"Give it back."

No anger, no aggression—just calm. The kind of calm that spoke of absolute control, the kind that needed no display of force to be heard.

The recruit blinked, his throat suddenly dry. His hand trembled as he extended the mask back towards Ghost. As soon as the fabric touched Ghost’s gloved hand, he pulled it back with a practised ease, the motion smooth, fluid, as if it had all been rehearsed a thousand times. With a quiet precision, Ghost slipped the mask back over his face, the familiar skull settling back into place. The entire process took mere seconds, but it felt like an eternity for the recruit.

Then Ghost leaned back in his chair, his head tilting ever so slightly, as though the entire ordeal had been little more than a minor inconvenience. His dark eyes remained fixed on the recruit for a moment longer before he spoke again, louder this time, the tone of finality unmistakable.

“‘S alright.”

The words echoed in the silence, and just like that, the tension in the room broke. Conversations slowly resumed. Trays clattered. Soldiers leaned back in their chairs and continued with their meals. It was as if nothing had happened. The needle of normalcy slid back into place.

But for the recruit, it was far from over. As he looked around the mess hall, his heart still hammering in his chest, he realised what had just transpired. The other soldiers—their reactions hadn’t been driven by fear. No one had cowered. No one had braced for violence or reprimand. They had simply shown Ghost the respect he had earned over years of service, of leadership. They had respected his choice, his right to privacy.

And now, as the recruit turned to leave, his eyes caught on the far table where the rest of the 141 sat. Soap, Gaz, and Captain Price were all watching him. Not a word was spoken, but their eyes carried the weight of unspoken warning. They were a team, a unit bound by a loyalty that went deeper than rank or orders. Soap’s jaw tightened. Gaz’s lips curled into a frown. Price’s eyes were as unreadable as always, but they conveyed everything the recruit needed to know: Ghost didn’t have to retaliate, because the 141 would do it for him.

But Ghost had chosen not to. He had kept his calm, steady as ever, as if the entire incident was nothing more than a footnote in his day. It was his quiet strength, his unflinching composure, that had left the recruit more shaken than any explosion of anger ever could.

As the recruit walked back to his table, he sat down heavily, his appetite gone. The others at his table gave him a wide berth, their own conversations muted, as if unsure how to interact with him now. He knew they had seen it all, knew they had watched him cross a line that no one had thought to even approach.

The recruit stared down at his tray, feeling the weight of his actions press against his chest. He had learnt something far more valuable than what Ghost’s face looked like.

Respect wasn’t commanded by force. It wasn’t driven by fear. It was earned. Quietly. Unshakeably.

And in that silence, Ghost had spoken louder than words ever could.

Jason Epsiode 9 Thoughts

Yesterday I played whatever I could of episode 9 on Jason's route and finished watching the rest on youtube, so I wanna share my thoughts (generally speaking tho, I actually enjoyed the episode! it was honestly refreshing after.... everything, lol)

Okay, this was quite surprising for me. From what I had spoiled myself already I could tell that I was going to like some things about the episode, but I was not expecting to feel overall so positive about it!

From the beginning, I personally really liked all the tidbits of the common route. I liked seeing Tasha and Zahra play cards (seeing their relationship and how close and friendly they seem, what they like, etc), and I also liked the time spent with the inters, they were fun and I generally enjoy seeing the MC interact with other characters. I did miss some more interaction with the other routes, I chose Thomas to work with and honestly it felt like he was barely even there :/ it would have been fun to see him more with the interns and talk about the project he was working on. I don't know, I like this type of "filler" stuff that tells you about the characters and how they act and interact with other people and in different situations, it makes them feel more 3d and real and I fell like this is something the game lacks a LOT. It's nice that we are very focused on our route from the get go cause we get many moments with them, but at the same time it makes the experience very isolating and you dont get to know anyone much besides your route (you also have way less chances to get affinity with other characters, which bothers me honestly, I don't like feeling "locked" with the LI i chose). It gets boring for me but I understand that's just preference and that many people prefer this, so I appreciated all the common route moments we had this episode.

Now, Jason.

God, I absolutely loved it, the more I think about it the more I like it. I liked getting to know more about him, I liked the vulnerable moments, the looks to the side, the sad face, the smidge of angst. The special scene was cute, he looked so soft and kind while keeping that playful air. I wish they had some more banter and more jokes but I liked how they interacted in this episode and how it seemed llike 2 actual adults subtly flirting and connecting. He was very charming here.

HOWEVER, I need to be honest and mentioned all the stuff I didn't like at all.

First of all, it really bothers me that in the spanish version the characters don't seem to have a defined speech style at all. The way Jason speaks sometimes feels SO weird and it doesn't fit him at all. It takes me out so much to hear him speak like that.

Then the writing is... ugh. It feels like it has not been proof read at all, so many repetitiveness? It takes me out of the story a lot and honestly, it feels poor quality and that it has little care put into it

And it really bothers me how they repeated AGAIN the whole "i have never seen him smiled genuinely like this" GIRL YOU DID ????? ON EPISODE 7 ????? YOU SAID THE SAME THING THEN ????? is anyone editing these dialogues be honest with me beemoov

Lastly, my biggest enemy this game: Ysaline

I really, REALLY, don't like her. It bothers me how utterly dramatic she is with the whole "deal with the devil" bullshit (and the amount of times this sentence has been repeated is so obnoxious, we GET IT, be original ffs). Specially cause what the actual fuck has this man done for you to antagonize him and judge him so much? 5 random people that you knew for 2 days told you he was bad and you ran with it, girl have some actual thoughts of your own and stop judging people you know shit about.

Because I am seriously asking, what has Jason done to be "THE DEVIL"? Work hard? Cause that's all I have seen.

(And where did that episode 5 stuff with the "You owe me a favor now" go ???? did everyone forget about this ???? this "deal with the devil" bullshit again ???? I was expecting this to be a relevant line but we are going on episode 10 and I only hear crickets, it has't even been mentionned I really hate how utterly disconnected the episodes feel and how we have literally no plot)

And god Ysaline gave me so much second hand embarassment when she kept accusing him og using Tasha to spy on Devenementiel ????? GIRL? First of all, you are the new hire of a 7 people company, what the fuck would your 16 year old sister have ???? Devenementiel doesnt even have confidential information why would Jason even CARE. This was EMBARASSING.

Also, Jason telling her that he motivated Tasha by telling her that Ysa would be better ?????? Bro what makes you think that, all you have seen of this woman is her being an absoute mess, doing the most stupid and ridicuous bullshit, NOT WORKING (miss girl was out strolling around the city looking for apartments during work hours, she barely even worked that day), and not being able to even organize a damn birthday party. What about this woman is capable or competent? Aren't you supposed to hate incompetent people? hm?

I really mean this but these two have so little chemistry that is DRY as a desert I don't understand what Jason could see in her cause everything we know about the character would point to him disliking her. In his route what would make sense is for Ysalinne to be super hard working person, someone competitive and very focused on her work that takes her professional life seriously. THAT is someone that I can see Jason liking and somewhat admiring and wanting by his side.

Anyway, tldr: I liked this episode, I hope we get more like this, I hope Ysaline grows the fuck up and I hope we have more fun banter and jokes and flirting instead of creepyness <3

didn't get a chance to play DE yet, but I humored myself with some playthroughs already and I'm... questioning shit rn. I just checked what max's phone has to offer in my ending (bae ending with pricefield as... hs sweethearts apparently). and I just don't understand wtf happened. I don't want to spoil the main plot of DE, but the way they don't offer any datas or timeframe... I'm kinda offended by the messages shown in max's phone. it looks so wrong. I mean, ofc there is the whole multiverse and I can believe that in some universe pricefield could've broken up but??? it feels wrong actually seeing it, I mean my expectations are my own mistakes, but... I need time to process

I mean, it could be great, but they promised to respect both endings. and the way I see it, most people who saved chloe didn't do it to see such an ending. I get that this stuff happens in real life, it's natural outcome for the relationship built on trauma, but for both Max and Chloe it's really off and out of character. I probably need to see more from the game to get a better perspective, but now i'm just sad.

OOF okay yeah I'm going to be brutally honest about my thoughts on Double Exposure.

So from the very first announcement, the concept left a bad taste in my mouth. It felt incredibly cheap to bring Max back, and I knew that even if the game was fantastic, that narrative choice would always rub me the wrong way. I don't like the idea of Deck Nine taking Dontnod's characters and continuing a story that had been tied up with a perfect bow already. It feels...I don't know. It feels gross, I guess, is the best word I can use.

Chloe's lack of presence stood out to me immediately, and combined with the pieces of the game we'd seen, I knew she wouldn't be part of it. At best, there would be some offscreen explanation about her traveling or something (like how Dragon Age explains where the Warden went if you romanced Leliana). What they went with was...worse than I anticipated, lol.

In my opinion, it's very clear that they brought Max back solely to bait people into buying and playing, and it's backfiring HARDCORE on them right now. I've seen so many people cancelling their preorders and turning away from the game. The promos for the games were purposely avoiding a mention of Chloe, not to be fun and surprise the fanbase, but to string people along until the very last second. Clearly, it didn't work out!

It's really a bummer because I think I would have LOVED this game if it featured a new protagonist. I mean, switching timelines, a university story, an older protagonist? Absolutely right up my alley! But the fact that they dragged Max in to be the hook immediately turned me off to it.

To be honest, I would be very unsurprised if this is the last Life is Strange game after all the backlash that's already starting. And honestly? I'm kind of okay with that. I have concerns about how Deck Nine and Square Enix would/could handle future installments, since it feels like the integrity of the series has been degraded so much with DE.

I never had any plans to play the game, but I don't even really feel like watching a playthrough now either, lmao. All that to say, I really don't consider this game canon. This feels more like a parody than an actual continuation of Max's story.

It's very, very sad to me because the first game came out when I was a teenager trying to figure herself out, and Max and Chloe were very integral to exploring and discovering my sexuality (even before I realized it)!

I love True Colors and I think Deck Nine is capable of writing a compelling (if not a little lacking in some aspects) storyline, but diving back into Max's story was a really bad idea and I think it might be the series' downfall.

And...wow, I guess I had more to say than I realized 😅

poor nick, lucifer used him. i love bobby. when he came back i didnt think we would see him this much. its nice to see him he is like our bobby but he is not him. i wish he could come back. cas' speech was beautiful, he changed so much. i love him. jack is right and i dont like that. dean would agree with jack. but dean cant die theyll find another way. and theyll save dean. why didnt cas go with nick? dean isnt dean its Michael right? that was the plan. i hope he is dean but i dont think so.

dean is back. the beard, really dean. I thought Kaia's story would be left unfinished. im glad theyre telling it. Jack is still young and has been through so much already. jack saved the girl. and now he is sick. i love dad cas, when he is talking to jack he is awesome. dean said yes and saved his brother and son. yes michaelhurt people but dean did what he had to do.

dean wanted a friend like stuart. when he was mad at his dad he could just go and hang out with his friend. he now has cas but it wouldve been nice for him when he was young. i love fanboy dean. his love for movies is beautiful. i hope they can have a nice halloween next year. i would like to see the cosplay.

i missed Charlie. They had planned everything but the "old man" destroyed Dean. He never expected this. he is offended. jackrealy played his role. i like both of them. they are amazing. i like how both of them thinks Michael is their fault and not the other ones. i love how jack is trying to convince dean to forgive himself. i liked how sam convinced Charlie to stay. i missed our Charlie and bobby. jack is truly a winchester. he is not okay.

hi cas! nick learned some stuff from luci, like torturing:(. dean let jack drove the baby:'). and what is wrong with dean? jack is their son dean'S cas' and sam's. and they love him so much. i mostl forget jack is just a baby. at least rowena helped, it was nice of her. nick is a psychopath. he lost his mind. if he doesnt want to feel those feelings he shouldve asked for help from the boys or he couldve killed himself but he chose lucifer. when lucifer comes back there will be chaos. hell cause so much pain but nick doesnt even care. i thnik luci will save jack probably not willingly but i think jack will live because of him. maybe hell get his grace back.

no no no no. this cant be happenning jack cant die. dean and cas werent with him. even if they were he cant die. theyll bring him back. im glad kelly got the chance to see her boy. the winchesters and cas, they raised jack well. he is amazing. empty is ruthless. im glad it didnt take cas now but it will take him when he is finally happy. i hope it cant but this story will end, cas' story will end. and i guess thats how it will end. this is bad but for now both cas and jack are safe. im happy for lily she saved jack and she got her reward in the end. the winchesters are back together again. i wish Chuck would come. he couldve beaten Michael easily. and the boys wouldnt have to fight with him. but Chuck is with his sister idek what theyre doing but it wouldnt take long to kill Michael. boys are great dads. they have their son back, they really love their son. i love seeing team free will 2.0. they are all amazing.

no garth wouldnt do that. i think he is working with the winchesters. i love garth. i think i love ketch too. he did some(a lot maybe) bad things but he is trying to do the right thing. i dont like the fact that dean lied to kaia. yes they need the spear, hopefully theyll keep their end of the deal and return her to her home. why did Michael let sam live? what did he do to him? no! Michael took dean, again. dean isnt gone hell beat Michael. dean will win.

Mary pushed Jack too hard, maybe if she left him alone for a few minutes he would be able to pull himself together.

No, Jack couldn't have killed Mary. dean and sam theyll be devastated. dean dont be mad at cas. he was just trying to do what he thought was right. The flashback scenes are killing me. I get sadder with each scene. There is 1 season left, I have been watching their stories for 3 months. I don't know how to say goodbye to them. rowena changed so much, i like the winchester affect. she cares about jack and the others. i didnt think mary would die. but she did.

hi bobby! i hate dumah now, i didnt like her before and now she is worse. Jack is very open to manipulation. cas did a good thing. dumah doesnt deserve that kinda power. They should have known that box couldn't hold Jack. Dean can be so cruel sometimes, he lied to Jack so easily. and sam he wasnt okay with it he struggelled while lying to jack. i hope they can figure this out. and thing could be way it was. lucifer always makes everything worse.

SPRING ANIME 2024 FINAL THOUGHTS (PART 2)

SEIYUU RADIO NO URA OMOTE

You know, ever since seeing Oshi no Ko's 1st season I've wanted to watch another anime that more or less walked through the behind the scenes of the industry, so when I heard what was Seiyuu Radio about I definitely wanted to see it and now that the season ended it was quite good ngl.

it was pretty good to watch and even if it probably isn't faithful to the VA industry it also gave some insight to the behind the scenes of it, I absolutely loved how in this final episode the entire sequence of Yasumi rerecording her lines to the 'Phantom' show was done with no music nor sound effects, just pure raw Voice Acting altogether. One thing I would say tho is that if it wasn't because a lot of yuri pages I follow said that this is a yuri slowburn I wouldn't even believe it was the intention other than slight subtext lol, I get the feeling that this show would need like 2 more seasons to show something romantic between Yuhi and Yasumi and to be honest I wouldn't mind it at all, I absolutely loved their rivalry in here and how they have each other's back if either of them was in actual trouble (Like Yuhi with the casting couch rumors and Yasumi with her lack of confidence for her role in Phantom). Needless to say this was a good anime all in all and while I would probably put it at the bottom of a ranking with all of the ones I saw complete this season it's wouldn't be because it was bad by any means, but just because I liked the other ones more in the end (also I would love to see a 2nd season of it, even if the chances are almost 0 lol)

GIRLS BAND CRY

When I first started this anime, all I thought was that it was gonna be a fun little anime with great visuals and not much else, but now that it finished all I gotta say is that it was easily my favorite anime out of the Spring season.

Like seriously, it's crazy how with each episode it got better and better. All of the TogeToge girls were really likeable to see and their interactions with each other were just so good in general, the animation was 100% a standout for the series with such an amazing 3D, and the songs were like OH MY FUCKING GOD THEY ARE SUCH BANGERS!! Like at one point I just downloaded the album they have and each new song that it came just went straight into my playlist

Another great thing it had was the relationship Momoka and Nina had over the course of the show, I'm gonna be honest here I didn't expected the yuri elements to be brought up again after the confession, this isn't that type of story in the end and even then, you could see the two sides of their really close bond, from one side of bickering and arguing but in the end being there for each other, to the other side of deep admiration (and love) for the other and always having each other back. Even if there wasn't anything canon in the end they have such chemistry that it wouldn't be crazy that they would be already dating by the time the final episode arrived

And that mainly going on Nina and Momoka's side of the band, both Rupa and Tomo had already that deep bond between them and you could see how much they trust each other, and Subaru being the wild card that easily ties everything together in the amazing band that is Togenashi Togeari. Every character has something going for them that can make you love them and be their favorite without looking down any of the others. Nina's passion and decisiveness, Momoka's leadership and coolness, Tomo's take-no-shit attitude and brash honesty, Rupa being basically the mom/older sister of the group and having an overall more relaxed nature (thus making her an amazing hidden agent of chaos), and Subaru's chaotic and grounded nature that helped both enhance the comedy and bring the girls down whenever needed

I hope we get more content for the show in the future, whether it's in form of new music; merch; a movie; second season; manga; anything, 'cause this was just too fucking good to just end here. Goated anime and the best of the season imo

KAIJU No. 8

Honestly I'm still surprised that this series isn't talked more, like I know that it has a fandom talking about it that I still haven't interacted with, but outside of that I've seen very counted posts recommending it or just mentioning it which is a shame 'cause these last 5 episodes were absolutely amazing

Like at first I was like ''it's a good one, but not as good as most I'm seeing'' but after Number 9 came to attack the defense force for the first time it was like the show awakened and started delivering banger after banger episodes, and before that we already had cool characters to go for in Shinomiya, Kafka, Hoshina and Reno. The animation was real good (especially in both the Hoshino vs Kafka fight and the full awakening of Number 8) and the action was cool too, plus it has nice characters and a pretty interesting story to tie it all up, I'm like 90% sure this will have a second season in the future and I'll be waiting for it 'cause I wanna know more about the story (even if I'm gonna start reading the manga sooner or later lol).

This anime was a late bloomer like Kafka in the end lol

SASAYAKU YOU NI KOI WO UTAU

Well, technically this isn't the final episode, but since the final 2 have been postponed until further notice I'm gonna share my ''final'' thoughts here.

I HATE how badly was this anime treated, like it had everything to become easily one of the best Yuri anime of all time after the first 2 episodes but then everything came crashing down and the production of it was basically a Mappa 2.0, so much that episodes 9 and 10 were delayed for 2 weeks and the final episodes are gonna be aired at some point in the future, leaving it inconclusive for the season.

But I'm gonna see it here on a positive side, the first two episodes were just extremely beautiful and even if by episode 3 the animation was downgraded I'm here as an anime only for this series, so I could watch this for the story instead of for the adaptation and to be honest I love the story. I love the characters and the dynamic between them, the soundtrack was really good and the songs were great too, in my opinion this anime is a top 3 for the season, and I understand the hate it gets from the fans since, while I still haven't read the manga, I can imagine how bad it must feel that the adaptation was butchered so badly that even the author hated it.

This anime deserved so much better, I really liked it from beginning to end, to the point where I'm gonna start reading the manga because of how good the story was so at least the anime did it's purpose of guiding people into reading it's source material. if by some miracle there's a remake I'll 100% be here for it, I loved it as someone who didn't knew anything about it but the fans deserved a far better adaptation

Zenyatta is so perfect for gentle parenting it's so canonnnn (includes a little of Ram, genji, kiriko and hanzo)

You were adopted by zenyatta as he took you in

You were just a baby when you were abandoned by your own kin, left in the front of the temple where zenyatta spends most of his time at.

Zenyatta was more than happy to take you in, as he's Genji's mentor, he's already experienced in some fields, but you were so young, so raising a human from practically the start of your life was a learning experience.

Ramattra didn't exactly hate you, you were just a baby after all, but he still would avoid you, he felt that deep down you were just like the others, whether or not he was mistaken or correct is up to you :3

Your abandonment is just another excuse for Ramattra to hate humanity.

When you had tantrums, Zenyatta was extremely forgiving to you, and patient, but still a little awkward having to deal with you screaming, rolling, kicking around and punching the air in the middle of meditation session with a group of omnics

This caused him to decide on meditating some place else, just you and him and who ever wanted to visit you two at the time.

He taught you how to handle your emotions better, and how to meditate without feeling weird about it.

Star gazing was definitely a #1 calming activity you two did if you had a bad day.

He is physically affectionate, always with permission though

Also verbally affectionate, honestly sounds like he's reading a poem of a loving father it probably would make any sensitive person tear up a little <3

As a kid you were pretty mischievous, but also well behaved, Ramattra was a little more comfortable with you, as when Zen was busy he'd leave you with Ramattra to keep watch on you.

The most you two do together is talk, literally about anything.

If your having a bad day and a human is making it worse, Zenyatta would advice to not tell or worry your uncle Ram, you don't know why though.

You still scare Ramattra at times, you know how kids are, sometimes they just say creepy ass shit >w<

Genji is definitely an older brother figure.

It's nice to have a sibling figure that actually has a good relationship for him :3

Kiriko and you are literally so mischievous together in the most wholesome way.

You don't know hanzo, and you hope one day you 4 can finally reunite, become siblings and live your live happily ever after :3

Yes I counted kiriko because she's so genji's sister you can't convince me otherwise.

Honestly tries to be more of a cool young uncle, kinda fails at that though.

He stopped smoking as much since you were near him most of the time, but he definitely had cigar breaks from the added stress of taking care of a child.

Definitely washing planning on keeping you around but every family open to you had.... Problems that he wouldn't feel comfortable leaving you to their care.

Not like he could give you a better life though, at least that's his insecurities talking.

Maybe he was being selfish, not leaving you at an orphanage or to foster care, maybe he was looking for excuses where you would be better off staying with him.

Not like you wanted to get adopted anyways, you felt comfortable in his care, of course you weren't spoilt, but you live a humble if not exciting childhood, you got more than you can ever ask for, even if you weren't in the safest of situations simply because of your connection with Cassidy.

Cassidy feels extremely guilty for any instance where you got hurt or in trouble because of him.

If you didn't smile at him anymore after everything you two have been through it would eat him alive.

Once you fall asleep after he had tucked you in, he's most definitely stressing about how you're both going to get by or survive.

Life's definitely a lil rough, but he's definitely a good dad, even if he doesn't agree :3

GMMTV 2024 part 2

As I expected, for me part 2 wasn't as satisfactory as part 1, almost everything I wanted I got in part 1 so there wasn't much left to impress me with. The only two series I'm actually very excited to watch are The heart killers and Us. I'm happy all the same, this event is always so fun to watch and there's plenty of series to look forward to.

These are all the series in order, the first one being the one I'm most excited about:

The Heart Killers: talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, etc. Once again GMMTV looked at my brain and decided to make exactly my ideal series. I was so excited watching the trailer the first time I couldn’t even understand what was happening but I saw Dunk finally being allowed to show us his gigantic biceps and I knew this show was made for me.

Us: this looks great, and this was only a mock trailer. I had hoped we get some more veteran actresses but the plot actually looks very cute and they seem to have great chemistry

Thame – Po: Heart That Skips a Beat: an interesting new couple, a compelling plot, it’s a solid win for me

Revamp: The undead story: they had me at vampires, plus Santa, also a must watch

Friendshit Forever: worst title of this lineup award. Mook and New as leads, they have me hooked already. The plot is kinda meh but it deserves a chance

The Ex-Morning: they gave KristSingto the exes to lovers and they kept talking about relinking flames through the entire trailer, and they were siping pink milk! I love GMMTV for this. Not a fan of the trope or the couple to be honest, but despite that the trailer felt compeling, and it will be very interesting to watch how they have grown as actors and how that affects their dynamic. Let’s see how the kissing goes tho

Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist: I love Mark and even though I prefer him with Neo he also has great chemistry with Ohm and I’m excited to see them work as a couple. But why dentists? I don’t think I can think of a more unappealing job for a romance lead. There are at least three series about dentists, WHY?? And the whole plot revolves around him and his job ???

Perfect 10 Liners: this was actually last in my head while I was watching the live but then I read that it’s 30 episodes long, 10 for each couple, not intertwined. So I’ll watch the PerthChimon one only, the plot seems cute at least. I’m not interested in ForceBook or JuniorMark enough to get through another two engineering students series.

Hide and Sis: best title of the lineup award. The trailer felt a bit off but I love a cast full of women so I’ll probably watch it. The plot could be interesting if done right.

Leap Day: I’ll probably watch too, if only for Gun in what looks to be a great role. I feel like both Pond and Dew have grown as actors so let's pray for that.

Scarlet Heart Thailand: I know what the original series is about and it’s not my cup of tea (period series, lots of drama) but the cast is a 9/10 (sorry but what is Win doing there) so if the trailer isn’t too offputting for me I’ll probably watch it.

Dark Dice: Gem and Prim and a bunch of kids I don’t know. Could be something, I’ll decide when the final trailer is out.

Ossan's Love Thailand: I usually love Thailand’s silly humour but not this time. I’m fond of Earth but kinda tired of him and his acting, I can’t help it. I didn’t even smile watching the whole trailer so probably not for me

Break Up Service: happy for Off but I don’t care about this.

My thought about OPLA and NATLA

As someone who is fans for both One Piece and ATLA.. it kinda saddened me on how different the acceptances between 2 of the Netflix Live Actions are...

I think the main reasons on why OPLA was a success in many countries ..was because the fanbase already huge world-wide to begin with.. and Oda-san and the seiyuus seems to support it wholeheartedly. Thus, even tho it is also not perfect, it still good enough and becomes another source of success for Oda.. :")

OPLA also successfully making many new watchers (especially americans who never really watch OP before because of the 4kids animation censorship) to finally taste a bit of One Piece story. Since it's a very good story, a different takes will still felt fresh for new Nakama..

Is it enough for old Nakama? Well it is good, despite its flaws. Oda already said that because of different medium, ofc it'll be different. 1 on 1 adaptation is not possible. And for me objectively, OPLA was 8.5/10.

ATLA on the other hands was a childhood series for many Americans audiences. Mostly knew the stories by heart..or atleast ever watch several episodes before. This is what I believe makes the audience expectations higher and made the review getting very mixed..

From my observation, I don't think ATLA is that popular in many countries to begin with..(e.g it really difficult to get ATLA merchs.. in my country at least it always need to be preordered from US.. very different from how easy to get One Piece merchandise). This difference in fanbase--I think-- make it difficult for NATLA to get high praise and success in many countries like OPLA did.

Both has same 8 episodes. Both adapting a lot of source materials into that very limited episodes. But for me, both of the series pretty much nailed it! It was fun experience!! And still, honestly I found it easier to watch NATLA than OPLA... Both series has many disappearances of characters trait, but since ATLA animation characterization already more realistic than OP, the adaptation felt easier to digest. Thus why NATLA is 9.5/10 for me..

TLDR. For me both series LA adaptation is good and I hope both still get a chance for S2..

UPDATE: ATLA #1 in 73 countries while OPLA was #1 in 84 countries back then!! Hopefully it stays in top 10 for more than 2 weeks like OPLA did 😆😆

UPDATE AGAIN: Nevermind!! It alredy #1 in the world and 21 millions views just after 4 days~ I knew that it's a good show and the critic just harsh! XD

ok so basically our like franchise quarterback had been BR7 (big Ben - i can't spell his last name tbh) for so long but when he retired (after a shit last 2 seasons arguably more but no one wants to talk about that) we had to get a new qb so we used our number 1 draft pick on kenny pickett instead of oh idk drafting centers or guards to fix our shit offensive line but whatever. so we got kenny and everyone was excited and he started in the 3 preseason games and everything looked good etc etc except when he started during the season he quite frankly was kind of ass it was hard to watch. so when he got hit and was on concussion protocol and couldn't play, mitch trubisky (backup qb) started and look he also did pretty bad. so when kenny was able to come back he started again but still wasn't like anything big like we were still losing and then skipping ahead a little he got an elbow injury that was going to need surgery so he was going to be out and mitch came back in. the thing about mitch is i actually don't know his story im pretty sure he was the old backup for the bears maybe idk but anyway he was starting games and he was playing so so bad like oh my god . bad . so tomlin basically benched trubisky in favor of starting mason rudolph and the thing about rudolph is that he'd been backup under ben but Ben was kind of an asshole and didn't like give rudolph any guidance at all and when ben was hurt and rudolph had to play he wasn't very good and everyone hated him this is very important. so now rudolph was starting and everyone was expecting him to do horribly and basically saying our season is over but he actually did very well and we won the game and everyone was like holy shit and then we won the next game too and everyone was like rudolph is better than pickett and trubisky and tomlin just hates him bc it's rumored that rudolph is a trumper (idk if this is true) (tomlin is black and white steelers fans are racist idiots that want him fired even tho he's one of the best coaches in the league (17 seasons straight with no losing season lfg), that's all you really need to know) and that's why he's never started etc etc which is really dumb bc . it's not that he didn't start bc tomlin hated him, he didn't start bc last season he was ass u all called him ass whenever he played remember when you boo'd whenever he took the field and were actively wanting him to fail or did we all conveniently forget that but whatever what do i know. so because rudolph is doing so well and kenny is literally coming off of surgery, it was decided that against the ravens this week (today, the game we need to win for better playoff chances) rudolph would start kenny would be backup 1 and trubisky would be backup 2! someone in the media came out with information from an inside "source" that said kenny was mad about not starting and refused to suit up to be number 2 and it was a whole thing that blew up (mark maddon when i catch u when i catch u mark maddon) and it caused a lot of fans to start calling him princess kenny and basically call him selfish and conceited and stuff. so while talking to the press kenny basically addressed those rumors (which he'd already technically and indirectly disproven in earlier interviews but whatever) and said they weren't true he never refused he's following the advice of the coaches and health staff hes going to suit up as backup in the game etc etc. and then a picture of kenny mason and mitch came out where they were all laughing and smiling and joking around and yeah that's it it's kind of awesome to me

The new chapter was so good! Hard agree! I can say that this chapter made me love Pomefiore (a dorm I was meh on, even after their focus chapter) and Idia (Ortho was already adorable). I cannot express my happiness in learning why the NEET is a NEET and it isn't just some misguided misanthropy. He has ✨ trauma ✨ that he needs to deal with. Also... Malleus at the end contemplating that humans be having short lives.... Just saying~

To be fair, I am biased, I love Pomefiore, tho I didn't like Epel very mch before but I was cheering so hard for him!! Everytime Vil complimented him I was soooo proud of both of them!!!!!!!!!!

Now, Ignihyde was actually my second to last favorite but it just skyrocketed! I like both Idia and Ortho so much more now (I even pulled Idia's card which was stupid bc Vil's birthday is in two days but OH WELL I got it hehe). But I was actually so proud too that Idia just... learned to come to terms with things on his own. It felt right for him. Sure the others helped, but once he was alone I felt like he really thought about things while he put Ortho together. I was spoiled on his backstory but seeing it actually unfold and all was sooo much better than expected.

Malleus was very dreamy again, hehe! I enjoy it when we get the chance to call him Hornton idk, feels somewhat intimate to call him a stupid nickname still lol I am also spoiled on what's going to happen but I still enjoy watching the story unfold a lot! I hope they continue to keep up the good story ^-^

And I agree... the agony of being very, very long-living while all your friends and darling are not. Despairing. I love it.

Do i need to read all the pjo and heroes novels to fully “get” trials of Apollo books? I was never that interested in greco-roman myth or those series as a kid when they were super popular. also I haven’t read a proper book in an embarrassingly long time. Nevertheless I’d like to give a chance if they’re as great as you say.

hey Anon, first of all, my condolences. I’ve been there too.

Second: no you absolutely do not have to read any of the previous novels to understand/appreciate TOA! I am a big proponent of the “TOA first” reading approach in fact (tho obviously you won't have to go back and read the rest of the saga afterwards either), and I’ve already written a little primer for fellow readers who may want to start directly from TOA like I did, based on my own reading experience and the knowledge gaps that I found myself having. I will add, given what’s your reason for wanting to check this out, a few caveats:

this story is not a romance. It's about abuse, emancipation and self actualization. It’s also simultaneously a redemption story because

this Adrien is older (like 4000+ years older lol) and both his personal history and the amount of character development he underwent before the story even starts reflect this. He’s had time to grow up, fuck up very badly in ways that his upbringing explains but does not excuse, and this story is also the story of him coming to terms with and figuring out what he can do about that.

He’s also an incredibly unreliable narrator, and not in the ways you’re led to expect (if you’re familiar with the Adrien The Liar meta know that it’s as much - at this point probably more lbr - about Apollo than it is about Adrien, except for Apollo you gotta multiply it for like 10000). Which means you may have a hard time recognizing him for a while (I think when it really clicked for me was between book 3 and 4). Or maybe not, bc apparently some people clocked the similarities since the very beginning

it’s all so cringe. You’re a fellow ML (ex) fan so I'm sure you can appreciate some quality cringe but I feel compelled to give a warning anyway. I love it, and I don’t think a story like this about a character like this could have been told any other way because (among other reasons that I won’t say bc I’m already spoiling enough) nobody who cares as much and earnestly as Apollo does could ever be Cool ™. But yeah. The narrative style either works for you or it doesn’t bc it’s 100% not a bug but a feature.

Last but not least, if you think it might be easier for you to digest a whole book series in audio format, I’ve been told by multiple people that the TOA audiobooks are really well done.

As for Smallville… well, the show as a whole is definitely… an acquired taste 😅 It’s so dumb in so many ways, and not self aware enough to make up for it. I have an incredible fondness for SV, and for its version of Clark & Lois especially; I’d dare say it is still my favorite modern interpretation of their dynamic on screen to date, but it took the show a while to get to the point where their relationship took center stage (S8-9-10, basically. This is after all technically a superman origin story) and it was a very bumpy ride. The show has some truly terrible writing mixed in with the brilliance lol. But yeah go for it if you feel in the mood! Fyi Lois Lane only gets introduced in season 4 which is also one of the show’s best, most enjoyable & silly seasons imho so if you’re on the fence you could try beginning from there (I’m pretty sure you’ll be able to figure out what’s going from context clues).

Can we retire this trope already?

I was watching a video essay about Elemental, and just when i was thinking of considering watching the movie, all the promo art had this Clod character in the font. And just being reminded of clips I've seen earlier of Clod constantly flirting with Ember, not taking "no" for an answer, being a Mineta, and the movie expecting us all to treat it like a funny running gag... I think I'd rather avoid watching Elemental.

I'm still not going to theaters with the pandemic still going on, but i had been watching movies on streaming and even clips on YouTube. I was making lists of things to watch when they left theaters and went to streaming. And tho Elemental seemed very generic and Spectacle Creep was effecting me, Pixar has consistently made heart felt movies, even the ones that i only needed to see once. And i really like all the representation of non dominant social groups happening more often lately. Honestly, i got interested in Elemental only after hearing the director say in interviews that he was telling his (Korean?) family's immigrant story with this movie. As a 2nd generation Asian immigrant too, I'm interested.

But even if i was given the chance to watch Elemental, i think I'd want to avoid the movie to avoid Clod now.

I'll go watch Nimona for the zillionth time instead.🤘💞💛🖤 Because queer people getting representation as protagonists is awsome, also sorely needed, and in addition to being 2nd gen Asian American, I'm also queer.👍 So given the choice between 2 movies that represent minorities, I'll take the one without the normalization of misogyny. And Nimona has Asian American rep too, so add another "why would i put up with Clod"?
