The Ultimate Thread Of Koincidences (2020) Part 2
Ok, I exceeded the pictures limit. So here's part two of all the Koincidences I could find for 2020.
If you haven't seen the other part, I highly suggest you do before reading this one:
Fall of 2019 (X)
2020 Part 1 (X)
As always, I'll include links to posts about specific part of Kaylor Lore to give more context. So when there's a (X) beside something it's to give you more information and help you understand better.
July 23rd:
Where we left off.
Karlie also posted that day a video for Kode With Klossy with a code. And in the code you can read really well : "Easter Egg"
Tumblr media
July 24th:
Folklore is out.
So many references to Karlie in there.
But two things worth mentioning:
That line.
Tumblr media
Source: Kwyw
And the fact that baby is the 13th word after Levi in cardigan:
Tumblr media
Also. Shoutout to the Cardigan's merch that has three stars just like Karlie's Express bomber's jacket (from 2017).
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Thanks Vegasborn on Twitter for finding this.
Another thing worth mentioning is that in Big Sur, there's a vineyard called Folktale and the font is really close to Folklore's.
Tumblr media
Still July 24th
Kimby post a bunch of pictures of Big Sur on Instagram
Tumblr media
July 25th:
Kimby likes a Folklore meme on Instagram:
Tumblr media
AND
Karlie likes a post of Christian Siriano that says that mentions Taylor.
Tumblr media
ALSO
This is the day of the infamous : "OMG did you just called me "daddy"?" tweet.
Tumblr media
July 26th:
Martha Hunt does a post wearring a Cardigan with the caption "Peter losing Wendy"
Karlie liked that post
Tumblr media Tumblr media
July 27th:
Derek did a post about Cardigan on Twitter. (I can no longer find it).
Tumblr media
July 30th
Taylor comment a tweet with two fairies emojis....
Tumblr media
Just like Karlie's caption on her post dancing in a Cardigan, 13 days before Folklore's release...
Tumblr media
Also.
Karlie does a post on Twitter wich is a recall of a 2015 photoshoot, where she posed as Betty Crocker...
With the caption:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
August 2020:
August 3rd:
Karlie's Birthday. Exile becomes a Radio single.
This is one of the two tracks where William Bowery has writting credits.
August 17th:
Betty becomes a radio single.
Still in Karlie's birthday month.
It's the second track where William Bowery has writting credits on.
August 18th:
The Lakes official lyrics video is out.
"I don't belong, and my beloved neither do you"
August 20th
Karlie does a YouTube video on Klossy.
Lots to unpack in this video.
Let's start with how it tied to The Lakes and those lyrics.
One of the books she presents is nammed "Beloved".
Tumblr media
Also. Behind her, the firs clok on the wall is the same as the clock in Cardigan's MV, without the mechanism and glass.
Tumblr media
And another very cute Koincidence is this:

Novembre 2020:
Novembre 13th:
Taylor has her Musicians on Musicians interview with Paul McCartney. (X)
So many interesting things in that interview...
We learn that Taylor was in LA when lockdown happened... and so was Karlie.
2. This whole part about Peace. She is litteraly describing her relationship with Karlie and the Love Blackout.
Swift: That’s the best. I want to hear current things, too, to update me on where the artist is. I was wondering about lyrics, and where you were lyrically when you were making this record. Because when I was making Folklore, I went lyrically in a total direction of escapism and romanticism. And I wrote songs imagining I was, like, a pioneer woman in a forbidden love affair [laughs]. I was completely …
McCartney: Was this “I want to give you a child”? Is that one of the lines?
Swift: Oh, that’s a song called “Peace.”
McCartney: “Peace,” I like that one.
Swift: “Peace” is actually more rooted in my personal life. I know you have done a really excellent job of this in your personal life: carving out a human life within a public life, and how scary that can be when you do fall in love and you meet someone, especially if you’ve met someone who has a very grounded, normal way of living. I, oftentimes, in my anxieties, can control how I am as a person and how normal I act and rationalize things, but I cannot control if there are 20 photographers outside in the bushes and what they do and if they follow our car and if they interrupt our lives. I can’t control if there’s going to be a fake weird headline about us in the news tomorrow.
McCartney: So how does that go? Does your partner sympathize with that and understand?
Swift: Oh, absolutely.
McCartney: They have to, don’t they?
Swift: But I think that in knowing him and being in the relationship I am in now, I have definitely made decisions that have made my life feel more like a real life and less like just a storyline to be commented on in tabloids. Whether that’s deciding where to live, who to hang out with, when to not take a picture — the idea of privacy feels so strange to try to explain, but it’s really just trying to find bits of normalcy. That’s what that song “Peace” is talking about. Like, would it be enough if I could never fully achieve the normalcy that we both crave? Stella always tells me that she had as normal a childhood as she could ever hope for under the circumstances.
3. That part where Taylor has many questions about fame and having kids.
Swift: Did that give you a lot of anxiety when you had kids, when you felt like all this pressure that’s been put on me is spilling over onto them, that they didn’t sign up for it? Was that hard for you?
Novembre 17th:
Karlie announces her pregnancy online.
She also wears the Amulette de Cartier.
Tumblr media
Novembre 22nd:
Taylor does the biggest lie of all time.
There's also the Swift-Kloss Family Crest in the frame on the table.
VERY important piece of Kaylor Lore (X)
Tumblr media
Novembre 24th:
Did Karlie just announced the first re-record? (she did announce Folklore in advance as well as Midnights and Speak Now and so much more).
Also eye theory.
Tumblr media
Novembre 25th:
Long Pond Studio Session is released on Disney +
There's A LOT of hints to Karlie in there:
She wears the same boots that she wore at Big Sur.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She wears a ring called "Soleil" (sun).
Almost the same as she wore in Cardigan MV
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And she wears a daisy shirt
Tumblr media
Another interesting thing. Is that part where she talks about who William Bowery is.
And Jack is like : "I thought you were doing a bit when you said "Joe and I wrote a song"... I thought it was gonna be like when people write cute songs about their animals "
Karlie's dog is nammed Joe...
youtube
Decembre 2020:
Decembre 1st:
Spotify wrap is out. And in Taylor's there's two adult cats and a baby cat.
And a post-it saying : It still feels like March.
(Levi was born on March 11th)
Also the post it seems to point where the possible due date.
The Grammy's were pushed back only in January, so she had no way to know they would happen in March yet.
Tumblr media

There you have it! All the Koincidences I could find for 2020.

Here's the two masterposts that hepled me make this one: (X) (X)

Tumblr media
An awesome piece by @lyndseyillustration.
A bit of background: I saw this reposted earlier, without credit, and so was doing a reverse image search to find a source. Happily, this one was much easier to find than the other two I did earlier today! So rather than reblog that other one along with additions, I figured I'd make a post with the artist info, and a better (and watermarked) version of the art.
As you can see from the tag above, the artist, Lyndsey Green, has a Tumblr, although it has not been updated since 2017. She appears now to be more active on Twitter and Instagram, as well as her own website, a Shopify storefront, and an Etsy shop.
The jackalopes above were done for a little Jackalopia zine, which is available in her shops. She did make a Tumblr post about that when it first came out, which I'll reblog along with this.

Fanfiction/Original Fiction
First created: Jan 2021
Last updated: Oct 2023
General Premise: Post-game story after the 4th game, next generation and sorta fix it at some point, not too far in it, but I will be continuing it.
Other notes: I do take some dialogue from the game at the beginning so credit to the game.
Bentley
It's been a while since that night, but there was still no sign of Sly or that cursed blimp. The skunk could barely tread water. So by the time the cops picked him up, he was happy to see them. Word is, he earned a special cell in solitary confinement where the only thing he'll be collecting from now on is grey hair.
Both Paris and the Thievius Raccoonus were back to normal, but that hardly made us feel any better. At first, we just waited assuming Sly would show up the way he always did. But as the days stretched into weeks, we had to face the fact that he was truly lost. We've stopped talking about it all the time, but I know it's all we're thinking about. Even if we show it in different ways. Murray seems like his usual cheery self, but I can tell there's a new level of seriousness underneath it all. He's on the professional wrestling circuit now and he's really been pushing himself. I know he's doing it to keep his fighting skills sharp. Like all of us, he wants to be ready for action the minute we locate Sly.
Carmelita returned to Interpol where she threw herself into her work, busting criminals at a record pace. She's been so busy, I haven't seen her for a while now. My sources tell me, she's conducting her own investigation into Sly's whereabouts. Out of everyone, I think she took his disappearance the hardest. Even if she never shows it. At least not in public.
As for myself, I continue to search. Even using all my technology, I haven't found a clue. The time machine is no help since we need to know where Sly was for that to work. I get discouraged sometimes, but I'll never give up. Because I know Sly's still out there and I know that wherever he is, we will find him.
---
Carmelita
It was a night of passion then and admittedly some desperation on his part. I should have known then. He was so adamant for me to feel everything that night, more than he ever did before. It was like he knew he’d be gone, at least he knew he was leaving. I should have noticed and kept him with me, but that’s too selfish, his entire family legacy was disappearing right before his eyes, I couldn’t stop him, even if it meant we were back where we started. Back to playing cops and robbers. Looking at the old photo of us that I found only a few days ago made me frown as I thought back to how we were since his supposed amnesia. Deep down I think I knew he was faking it, but I also knew he did it to be with me. I’m sure he didn’t leave intending to never return, He probably hoped that despite all the lies I’d welcome him back, and sure I was angry at first, livid even, but...I think I would.
Unfortunately, he was lost in time, and none of us know where or when he is. It’s been about 6 weeks since our last night together, since our last adventure together, and since he was lost. I know ringtail is fine wherever and whenever he is, but…I miss him, we all do. I’ll find you, Sly Cooper...I always do…
---
Carmelita sat up in her bed grabbing the old worn photo of her and Sly from her nightstand, brushing a thumb over it as she reminisced. She actually cried when she found the photo in the river, and she ended up taking the following day off just to look at it. Her boss was quite thankful since she has been working so hard, almost too hard. Of course, she’s since been back to work and busting heads all the more. She sighed as she replaced the photo, before getting up to go get a drink of water, but instead, her body said otherwise and she went barreling into her bathroom and to the toilet to let out the contents of her stomach into the porcelain bowl.
After a while, she went on to dry heaving before finally settling down. She sat on the floor for a bit trying to figure out why she got sick all of a sudden, she rarely got sick, and it was even rarer for her to throw up. She frowned when she couldn’t think of anything that she had eaten recently that could have done it, then she looked up at the calendar where she wrote down her cycle, and that’s when she realized she hadn’t been visited by mother nature this last month, she figured it was stress at first but the timing of when her and Sly… she shook her head and got up enough to get a small box from one of the small drawers under her bathroom sink. She kept it for emergencies ever since she and Sly got together, but they were always careful and used protection, except for that night.
She pulled out the test and sat on the toilet to start it and soon she sat there waiting for the advanced stick of fate to beep its finality. While she waited she started to think of what she was going to do. At first, she actually scared herself for thinking too far ahead into the future, but after a moment of calming down, she started to compartmentalize the steps she was going to take. first, wait for the test, secondly decide if your...no...if yes, you accept that and won’t get rid of them...they are his and that’s all you have left of him. Then third...contact Bentley. For now, those steps would get her by, Bentley could hopefully help her sort out the rest. She couldn’t do this alone, Taking down criminals was one thing but taking care of a child was something completely different. She wasn’t even sure how she’d be a good mom and that scared her too.
Before Carmelita could delve into that thought process any further the test finally beeped at her and she shakily picked it up. Upon inspection, it was indeed positive. She sighed as a plethora of emotions hit her all at once, she was scared, upset, happy, and admittedly a little excited. She almost couldn’t wait to tell Bentley and by extension Murray that they were going to be uncles. She’d have to be careful of course because of her job but, it wasn’t the first time she saw them since Sly’s disappearance. She got up and headed to her closet and got dressed into some old gray jogger sweats and a black pullover sweater. She grabbed her keys and headed out into Paris at 330 in the morning. She walked a few blocks and took a few shortcuts through a few alleyways before reaching her destination, one of the only Cooper hideouts she was allowed to know about that was located in Paris.
It was agreed for her to know about this one just in case she needed Bentley for something. If he wasn’t there, there was a way to contact him inside the hideout. She carefully and quietly steps inside and closes the door behind her. She was greeted by two distinct sets of snores. One from Murray who most likely fell asleep on the couch while watching t.v. and the other from Bentley who Carmelita could see passed out at his desk while working on some project of his. She smiled a little at the sight wondering how many times they have been found like this by Sly after one of his midnight runs.
She walked over and lightly shook the turtle from his slumber. Bentley startled awake, drool hanging from his mouth a little bit before he wiped it away and adjusted his glasses before looking up at her. “Miss Fox? What are you doing here? And…” Bentley asked, looking at his watch. “at almost 4 in the morning?” Bentley was confused but also concerned automatically, but he could say he was hopeful for any information about Sly. “I came to tell you and Murray something, I know it could have waited but it’s less of a hassle for me and work if I come now.” Carmelita replied. “Oh sure I understand, Is it about Sly?” Bentley asked hopefully. “Not exactly, but I’d like Murray to know too.” Carmelita explained doing her best to keep her excitement down. “Oh sure, why not wake him up and I’ll go clean myself off.” He said before wheeling himself into the next room.
By the time Carmelita got Murray up and lucid, Bentley was back in the main room, now the two thieves were looking at Carmelita expectantly. “Well, What is it, Miss Fox?” Murray asked, sounding excited, even though he had no idea what it could be. Carmelita took a deep breath before answering. “Bentley, Murray, you both are going to be uncles.” She announced quickly with a small smile. Both boys gasped. “You're pregnant?” Bentley asked for confirmation in his shock. She nodded and smiled more “and it is Sly’s.” She assured them. Murray was pretty much in tears with how happy he was, congratulating Carmelita profusely. Soon He jumped up and bounded to the kitchen saying something about making a cake. This left Bentley and Carmelita alone to talk.
“So...what are you going to do now?” Bentley asked carefully as he watched her reaction. “I...I was hopeing you’d help me figure out that, I only planned enough to the point of telling you two.” Carmelita replied honestly and a little sheepishly. Bentley nodded in understanding before tapping his chin in thought. Murray poked his head out and asked what flavor of cake while Bentley thought and Carmelita decided on Strawberry. By the time they could hear Murray messing around in the kitchen again Bentley spoke up. “I assume you haven’t told anyone else yet, yes?” He asked. “Correct.” Carmelita replied.
“All of our friends and allies will be easy to notify, but….your boss maybe a little more difficult.” Bentley replied obviously thinking of a way to fix that issue. Carmelita groaned in realization. “Oh right I have to tell Barkley…” she replied, laying her face in her hands as her mind went through different results, losing her job was the most occurring until Bentley spoke again. “I do have one contact that could help ease that situation.” He commented thoughtfully. “Really? You do?” Carmelita asked looking up at him. “Yes, when do you go back to work?” Bentley asked as he pulled out his phone. “Day after tomorrow...er….rather tomorrow.” Carmelita replied.
Bentley nodded.“So Monday alright, I can get ahold of my contact and they can go in to help you tell Barkley.” Bentley replied. “Oh? Who is it?” Carmelita replied curiously. “The director of Interpol of course.” Bentley replied with a sly smile. Carmelita’s eyes went wide. “How did you...how on earth did you get in contact with her?” She asked, shocked. “Been helping with keeping Penelope off of Interpol’s system as of late, but I also helped her with a few other hackers over the time Sly was with you.” Bentley replied a hint of malice was heard when he mentioned his ex, but otherwise that subject was not touched on.
“Wow, well then I can’t wait for Monday then.” Carmelita replied excitedly, due to the relationship between Barkley and the director it was sure to be an entertaining conversation. “Yes, I’m sure it will be an eventful morning.” Bentley replied knowingly. After that, the two went on to discuss things Carmelita would need for the baby and when she could come over to tell their friends the news. By the time they could smell the cake, it was cooling from being in the oven, and Murray who had been giving his ideas from time to time during the conversation asked what kind of frosting she wanted. After getting a few choices Carmelita settled on Strawberry buttercream frosting. Soon a cake that said congrats was brought out, and it was nearing 5 in the morning. “Well I sure am spoiling myself, I haven't had cake for breakfast since I was 8 years old.” Carmelita commented as she started eating a slice.
-----
Over the next 24 hours, between resting and shopping for Carmelita, the three of them contacted all of their friends and told them the news. Dimitri, the only one located in Paris was super excited and competitive, stating that he’d be their best uncle no matter what. Bentley and Murray begged to differ but said nothing out loud to the boisterous lizard. Guru who had to be contacted through Murray and the Dreamtime was happy to hear the news even offering to bless them with the Dreamtime when they are born, Carmelita accepted easily. Panda King and his daughter Jing were ecstatic, well Panda King was more reserved about his reaction while his daughter was happy to be a part of the family and offered to make some pregnancy-friendly clothing for Carmelita as well as clothes and things for the baby. Carmelita accepted her offer as well and also asked Panda king if he didn’t mind being a grand-uncle of sorts. He was deeply honored and accepted the title. It was best to leave out the title of grandfather due to the past. By the time Monday morning rolled around, Carmelita was ready to tell her boss.
The Director, an older lady badger, waited for Carmelita at the front doors to Interpol’s headquarters. “Inspector Fox, so good to see you, congrats on the news.” She greeted Carmelita with a warm smile. “Good to see you too Director, thank you so much for helping me tell Chief about it.” Carmelita replied with a smile, slightly nervous now that she was there. “Of course, when our turtle friend contacted me I was elated to hear the news, and if anyone can handle Barkley, it’s me.” The Director replied leading Carmelita inside and Chief Barkley’s office.
After knocking The Director let Carmelita in first before following close behind. “Ah Inspector Fox What do you…..Mother?” Chief Barkley asked in surprise at seeing the other badger. That’s right, the Director of Interpol was in fact Chief Barkley's own Mother, Director Veronica Barkley. “Hello son, I’m here to keep you from doing anything drastic in response to the Inspectors news.” She explained simply, which only confused her son more. “Okay….and what news would garner your presence?” He asked, looking at Carmelita in question.
Carmelita took a deep breath and let the news come forth. “I’m pregnant with Cooper’s child.” She replied bluntly. Chief Barkley’s eyes widened and his expression went through many changes as he looked between the two females trying to figure out the best way to proceed. After several silent moments, he asked in a tight voice when the deed happened, and Carmelita answered honestly, that it was the night before he left, before everything went down.
He sighed in response, closing his eyes in thought with the presence of his mother in the room he wasn’t able to just react, which was a good thing, and he’d have to thank his mother later. With her there, he wasn’t going to fly off the handle and fire Carmelita for all of this. For all, they knew Sly still had amnesia when they were together. So this wasn’t her fault, obviously, though, she was keeping the child, so eventually, maternity leave would have to be put in for her to have and take care of the baby.
Chief Barkley didn’t speak for some time but he eventually opened his eyes and looked at Carmelita and nodded. “Congratulations Inspector Fox, your welcome to tell your colleagues the news, and we will begin transitioning you to office work as time goes, and we will discuss your leave later on, for now, that is all, you may get to work.” Chief Barkley replied gruffly but genuinely. Carmelita thanked him and thanked Director Barkley before leaving the office and heading for her own. Chief James Barkley looked to his mother and sighed. “Thank you, I would have hated myself for firing my best pupil.” James admitted simply. Veronica nodded in understanding. “Yes you would have, but you would have called her back after calming down, I just figured it would be less paperwork if we avoided that.” She replied with a smile. “Indeed.” James replied before frowning.
“They’ll be a thief just like him…” He replied in a statement, not criticizing or accepting it. “True and theft is bad, but think about it, Cooper and his gang have helped Interpol more times than we can count with their thievery, that it is bound to translate into the Inspector’s child. “I agree but he's also wreaked havoc too.” James argued simply ready to point out a few cases that the Cooper gang had impeded Interpol, but as he went to continue his mother pulled out a large folder from her coat and placed it on the table followed by a much smaller folder, both of which were labeled Cooper Gang. James went to speak but shut his mouth at his mother’s gesture to the folders. He had a feeling that he knew which folder was which and opened the small one first.
Inside the small folder were the dozen or so cases that the Cooper gang stole and was not much help to Interpol, the museum from when Carmelita became inspector, the chocolate incident, and so on. James sighed closing it and opening the larger folder, which held every single case that the Cooper Gang helped solve in one way or another, including some cases done by individual members like Sly’s time on the force, and Bentley’s help against Hackers including the notorious Penelope. James groaned as he closed the folder and looked up at his mother waiting for her to speak. “They will most definitely be a thief but, they can be one that will help us rather than impede us, don’t you agree?” She asked. “Yes...I do.” James replied with a sigh.
-----
After a celebratory party at her work from her colleagues and a few months of morning sickness and preparations, Carmelita was at the doctors to see the baby. With her was Bentley and Murray in disguise, Uncle Benard and Aunt Mira respectfully. Carmelita yelped in surprise when the cold gel went on her belly but it was quick to warm up when the doctor placed the wand on top of the gel.  The baby’s heartbeat echoed through the room and brought tears to Carmelita’s eyes.  The Doctor carefully moved the screen to show them the baby’s face. “Beautiful and healthy, would you like to know the gender?” She asked with a smile. “Oh. Can we do the gender reveal thing? Aunt Mira, would you do the honors of making the cake?” Carmelita asked looking up at the currently blonde hippo who started to tear up at the question. Not trusting his voice Murray simply nodded excitedly. “Course I’ll put it in an envelope.” The doctor replied by turning the screen away for a moment and getting the results down on a paper and placing it in an envelope and handing it to “Mira”.
The doctor then turned the screen back and started the process of taking pictures periodically, careful not to reveal the gender. The three of them watched as the child started to stir at the feeling of their wand looking quite irritated by being bothered. “You know, that reminds me of when I used to wake up their father, and he didn’t want to get up.” Bentley said with a chuckle. Carmelita chuckled too. “Yes, I know how that is.” She replied with a smile. “I do hope you don’t mind me asking,” the doctor began as she took the last photo and sent it to the nearby printer. “But, where is the father now?” She asked carefully.
Carmelita and Bentley looked at each other for a split second before “Benard'' spoke up first. “He’s helping a few tribes in South Africa, not sure when he’ll be back, but he calls every day, we just couldn’t plan around his allotted internet time for this appointment.” Bentley explained simply. The doctor nodded in understanding. “Oh yes, I have a brother who did that last year, only got so much time in town, and it was often at the oddest hours for us. That’s fine, Hopefully, he gets back before they are born.” The doctor said before getting the photos and placing them in an envelope before giving them to Carmelita and helping her clean off the gel. “Yes, here’s hopeing…” Carmelita replied, trying her best not to frown.
She pulled it off well up until they got into the van behind the hospital. “You alright Carmelita?” Bentley asked as the two thieves took off their disguises once they were in the safety of the van. Carmelita swallowed back the beginnings of a sob. “Yes, I just need to go home and lay down.” Murray and Bentley exchanged a knowing look not believing her one bit. Murray nodded before starting the drive through Paris while Bentley patted Carmelita on her back, then he asked to see the pictures, which brightened up Carmelita’s mood even though it was only slightly.
The baby looked to be more racoon than fox, but had more fox like features in the face. A perfect blend of Carmelita and Sly of course. The color of the baby’s fur became the subject for the rest of the ride to Carmelita’s apartment. Once they arrived, the two boys walked her all the way to her door, before heading home themselves. Once Carmelita was alone she went to her room to get ready for a relaxing bath. She sighed with relief when she finally got in, then she looked over at her calendar, she’ll be 5 months in a couple days, and she has been on 90% office work as of last week. Only time she gets to go out on the field now is if it's something specific, and with Sly gone, it was rare for her to be called. Thinking about it only made her sad, but that would go away when she looked down at her growing belly.
---
A few months later at almost 8 months pregnant, Carmelita was at her gender reveal party, that was only “close family and friends” as she described to her co-workers who wait at home to get the gender for the baby shower they will throw her at work in the next week. Currently however, Carmelita was seated on the couch at the Hideout, with Murray and Bentley nearby. Demitri, the Kings, and the guru were around too, mingling and talking to one another. Soon Murray went to finish the cake and came back with a decorated cake with a huge question mark on it.
Carmelita smilesmiled at the sight and got giddy when she got handed the cake knife. “Carmelita looked ecstatic as she set the knife into the cake, then took it out to repeat the process for a complete slice, no debris stuck to the knife either time so she slide the knife under the recently cut piece and took a deep breath. “Everyone ready?” She asked aloud. “Are you?” Bentley asked with a smile getting a chuckle from the inspector. “Alright then, 1….2….3!” She said pulling out the cake causing a wave of pink sprinkles to fall out, fortunately it was set on a high sided platter to help catch the sprinkles. “It’s a girl!” Everyone cheered happily. Carmelita let loose a few tears before getting hugged by Murray.
After that they cut and ate the cake before presents got brought out. Before anyone could hand Carmelita ay of the present the front door bell rang. Bentley smiled as he rolled over to the door. “Ah the last guest is here, figured he would be a little late.” He said aloud. Everyone watched confused as Bentley opened the door to reveal Jim McSweeney. “Welcome, glad to see you out free my friend. “Glad to be out, too bad the kid couldn’t be here too, did I miss much, where’s the lassie that's carrying the next Cooper.” The walrus asked as he was ushered inside. “Yes over here, Carmelita this is Jim McSweeney he worked with Sly’s father in the original cooper gang.” Bentley explained while also explaining who she was to the walrus.
“Oh goodness I have heard of you, congrats on finally being released.” carmelita replied a little sheepish. Jim laughed heartily. “ Thanks there sweety I see why Sly liked you already, kept him out of trouble more often than not right?” He said taking a seat on an adjacent couch. “More or less, If not me it was Bentley and Murray.” She responded with a laugh of her own. It was nice to meet an older family esk member of her soon to be child. “Same with his father and me, anyways sorry i’m late but release processes and all, plus i had to pick up the newest Cooper’s present up.” He said while taking out a long but skinny present out from his large fisherman’s jacket.

(sometimes, i edit; but i dont consider my edits to be "i made this" bc... i didnt make the core thing i am editing) so, anything you wanna use? no need to credit me. i'd like to see what you make using it, for shits and giggles, but that's not mandatory
🍁 i try to post credit to "the little guys" i make stuff from whenever i can figure out the source
➥ some of this stuff i find second- or third-hand where i have no clue who the "little guy" that made this is; feel free to reblog to add the applicable credit, and (after i do some fact-checking, bc some people online ✨️lie✨️) then i will reblog what you said + alter the original post to now have credit. but multi-million/billion-companies, celebrities, etc?? idgaf, you can VERY easily find out who the source
🍁 most things are on a queue
🍁 i don't do requests, sorry
🍁 here's how you can make your own edits tho??
🍁 some things i edited to have captions (#my edit + #captioned); others, already had captions (just #captioned); only a few videos don't have captions (#uncaptioned)
🍁 i tag based on what my Reactions Folder's sub-folders were. thats how i organize. idc about attention; meaning, 99% of the time, idc about tagging "correctly", so it crops up under the "correct" "tumblr tag-pages"-or-whatever-theyre-called
🍁 organizational tags i use below "read more". below that are some statements too
➥ said statements table-of-contents: about helping me credit the little guys [[titled: "sources psa"]] 🍁 my opinions on when to credit an editor and whatnot, and when i will/won't credit another editor (which does explain why idgaf about y'all not crediting me when i do edits lmao) [[titled: "a potential controversy"]] 🍁

expect these to be the least consistent thing i do, ever, but sure, ill add them sometimes, i guess, when i remember/know who the source is. more likely the aforementioned "little guys" than anybody else tho, ngl. but said little guys will get credit either within the post and/or within the image/video itself; and if i forget to also tag said credit, i think that's fine. i'll still try to do it, even though i know ill be inconsistent and forgetful the little guys and big guys, but also shhhhhhh if i forget. i'm doing my best, just let my mistakes go, let it be inconsistent
➥ but also do feel free to reblog the post (if it's an aforementioned "little guy" ESPECIALLY) and help source credit! (➡ note, for said lil guys, i will fact-check at MY leisure, assuming i see your reblog notif to begin with. and if i see that your sourcing is correct: ill reblog your addition AND edit the og post. just. do me the common decency of not insulting me for forgetting to source/not knowing who to source, whichever lol
bc i do have understandable reasons for not always knowing who to source?? bc a lot of these are videos i got from tiktok accounts, tumblr posts, and other websites where the "op" of said item?? was NOT the actual original poster, and did not source the people/person/etc within the item. ans now idk who to credit too lmao rip
● which, for artists and editors-whose-edits-are-NOT-simple-edits you can tell bc that item did not match the style/s already attached to their account, and didnt say something like "trying a new style!" or whatever in the bio or comments or something. idk. people who never can "stick to one style" still have a general large encompassing area they still to, ive never gotten a "i dont really have an art-/editing-style" person confused with an art-/editing-thief. and im one of those people who constantly change up their art/edits/writing/aesthetic/etc ("idk what exact box i fit into. im just me"), which i think? maybe helps me??? on figuring out if someone is a thief or is just inconsistent/experimenting/"just being me"/whatever?? but yeah! an art-thief especially, and oftentimes also edit-thieves, tend to be pretty obvious they are a thief. even if the comments have not already caught on. bc sometimes youll see a comment outright saying "you stole this from xyz" or "you traced xyz's art/you copied xyz's edit" but not always
● several others? especially ones that were videos of irl people?? i always check out the account and, MANY times have went "..okay this account is just a compilation of memes/jokes/etc, idk. but its VERY safe to assume they are definitely reposting and are NOT the irl person in the video". the person/people in this video assumedly are unaware their video of them being a silly lil goofball they posted on their personal account is here, on an account that compiles memes and funny videos. (bc its VERY rare that an account focused on humor will post content that reveals their face and/or their loved one/s. so. safe to assume it isn't theirs.) and i do want to find the original personal account this image/video in question came from, so i do look. there's a very small margin of error where, if a video looks really old, i wont look tho bc i assume the original account it was posted on is gone and, if it really looks old enough or like enough of "that type of oops funny thing was improv'ed" gag that i think maybe it was on "America's Funniest Home Videos" or a similar clip-show on cable?? ill admit, those ones, i dont try. but if it's like "this obviously friends trying to do a silly trend on tiktok"?? yeah, of course, i look for the account that came from, absolutely. but yeah, that's the usual spectrum for those types. i rarely find, much less keep, videos i can see landing on those "America's Funniest Home Video" type of clip-shows. so, really, the only "danger" there is for being a new video featuring irl people who idk? to go uncredited AND be a rare case where i didn't even try to look for the original account?? is, again, if the low-resolution and content of the video makes me think the video is old enough to where searching would be pointless. to which i then ask, fam? why the fuck is the resolution so bad that i thought this was maybe uploaded to Vine or MySpace (or MAYBE even was a VHS mailed to early-EARLY "AFHV"? lmao imagine), the fuck lol???? but whatever, nobody's perfect, i think you can grant me this kind of margin of error if my anxiety is already willing to grant it lmao
which, ill fully admit. i care about crediting these people for my own self-interests. like, sure, i do it in no small part bc it's the nice and kind thing to at least TRY to do. but also?? i do care about ensuring that person gets a shout-out bc of my anxiety catastrophisizing the hypothetical of a post of mine blowing up and inducing me to feel massive guilt from the fact that i didnt give credit to the people who actually made the item in question so they could also share in the attention of virality. so like. i dont assume ill go viral?? i WORRY ill go viral lmao if? that?? makes sense? which. i have trauma that i know would make me hate even a quarter-of-the-way viral levels of attention would imply. and i feel like, if this account was to ever go viral (god forbid. gatekeep me. dont let it happen lol there's a significant chance i might abandon this account if that happens), i feel like one thing that would basically be destined to happen is i would get chronically-online people criticizing me for not crediting my sources and riding on other people's hard-work. which like. i know they would do anyway since im not perfect at crediting. but if i didnt even TRY, that would hurt differently in a way that'd fuck me up. never know who could be the next hypothetical Cinderella story, like how Kombucha-Girl became the p fucking famous Britney Broski (regardless on your or my own feelings on Britney Broski, she did get her fame from a jokey meme that totally changed her life). give people their credit. like. i am also doing it to be nice and kind, sure! but know that even if i felt exhausted of all my nicities and kind inklings somehow on some certain day?? my anxiety would still demand i at least TRY to find the source. like. anytime you see NO credit?? ANYWHERE??? know the day i found the image/video, i probably spent a good chunk of time between 15 to 45 minutes, out of niceness and kindness and also to appease my anxiety, trying to find the source before calling it quits and saying "at least i tried" (aforementioned exceptions and/or margin of error notwithstanding lol)
which, with everyone where i have TRIED to see if i could reverse-image-source the item?? ive had mixed results from that. sometimes, i found them; sometimes, i didn't. but feel free to try again for me. you might get the correct result a lot quicker than me!
("wha—? h- how.. would i?? get the correct result...? quicker than you...??")
well. my information im about to share with you could be outdated or incomplete, so take this with a grain of salt. but i remember in elementary school how my teacher told our class that google alters the search-results per [insert IP or whatever the technical term she said that ive forgotten is] depending on the history of searches. she told us this so that "if you can't find the answer you need, it doesn't mean you're stupid. ask a friend to check their search-results and find the answer together! it might just be google being picky about what words (or i guess the equivalent would be which frame you chose to screenshot in your and my case, since i dont think an image-file itself being uploaded could result in pickiness) you decided to use, or perhaps it's results are biasedly influenced by what the AI has learned about your family through your families' collective internet search-history". which was basically her sly way of telling us to not depend on the first results we find, or even the first page of results, but to be critical of our sources in their credibility and whatnot. so, the way i understood what she meant was via an example she proceeded to give us that went SOMETHING(?) like this:
(🅰️) a kid whose parent is a professor with a doctorate who brings work home often, meaning they use the family-wifi to research academic studies. when that kid googles "teach me about pyramids"? their results may be extremely well-regarded articles about the Egyptian pyramids (such as the New York Times), peer-reviewed journals about the Egyptian tombs history, Khan Academy and other very good mathematical sources to help you understand how pyramids work within geometry, a released study-guide of various pyramids' formulas (relating to geometry) from Harvard's math-degree program, and much more. a very good foundation for their Egyptian pyramid report for class, and the math could help with that research in breaking down those pyramids dimensions in that report which could give that student an interesting angle that puts their report from an "A" status to an "A+" status, especially if their parent can help them plug in the right numbers into the relevant formulas! very helpful
vs. (🅱️) a kid whose parent works in accounting and taxes, who strives for a healthy work-life balance of never bring work home as often as possible. as a result, the parent uses the family wifi to play pseudo-gambling-with-fake-money apps on their phones more than anything else, to de-compress and de-stress. when that kid googles "teach me about the pyramids"? their results will include some articles about the Egyptian pyramids, but maybe not as credibly-sourced since the [insert IP or whatever it was called again] with this family's wifi isn't used to finding online resources of academic credibility. in fact, the student might get confused since a lot of results might be influenced by those pseudo-gambling phone-apps, and be showing the child information about Las Vegas's pyramids. which. isn't what the report is about. and due to this parent likely having to still bring work home sometimes, like during tax season or other stressful crunch-times, there might be way more math results about pyramids (geometry) than about the Egyptian pyramids. but accountants don't use geometry in their work, they use more basic arithmetic and algebra. so the formulas about the pyramids (geomtry) here would only talk about the pyramids of Egypt as part of the word-problems. so even if the parent was to also have the availability to help the kid plug in the accurate applicable numbers into the formula? those formulas are more likely to be not give a full picture of how to calculate the Egyptian pyramids' size and dimensions. and that's if the kid has the right numbers written down as they might have the dimensions for those Las Vegas pyramids instead, and feels inspired by these online results to even try to do this math (as the lack of "training the computer" to look for reliable articles means these word-problem results are more likely to be blank homework page examples, but could also include walk-throughs here and there like the Kid-A recieved plenty of). but those Egyptian pyramid articles, the most important part of this whole paper, are ALSO more likely to be from less reliable sources with perhaps incorrect information (bc people online like to lie. bc it is fun. but also sometimes people online think they are right when they actually fundamentally misunderstand something), like maybe Kid-B sees enough articles by conspiracy theorists on those unreliable websites that Kid-B thinks "aliens built the Egyptian pyramids" is a more seriously considered and debated topic of academic discussion than it is (which.. it's not. that actually has gotten the famous "Aleins" History Channel Meme Guy fired from his job bc his outspoken belief in this theory cpuld have risked his university's reputation and accreditation. so. yeah, no, Kid-B, those are not academic articles). overall, unless either the parent or Kid-B themselves catches that Kid-B has to sort through a lot more "proverbial litter" to find good, ACTUALLY academic, and ACTUALLY reliable sources of information about the Egyptian pyramids and Egypt's history, Kid-B could fail their report. even if they spent just as long on research and worked just as hard as Kid-A, all bc Kid-B was ignorant to their digital disadvantages and Kid-A unknowingly advantaged. all bc of that [thing with IP or AI or whatever it was called] and what it had learned from the family wifi what the assumed interests of its users would be. a feature no kid could easily turn off/on
which worked at making the kids in our class write down these Definitively Reliable Websites where we could search for accredited articles and peer-reviewed sources. i dont remember what they were back then, we were only in 5th or 4th grade. but it was a great lesson to be taught, im frankly shocked and a bit appalled that more kids were not taught this kind of syuff when teachers are first helping students learn how to research. everyone NOT from that class (even kids who did go to the same elementary school, but jusy did not have that teacher) all have been shocked as i am usually the first one to tell people about how, yeah, that's an aspect of how many (if not all) search-engines work
anyway. the information stuck with all of us from that class, as far as i can tell (a lot of us in that class attended the same middle and high school. like. at least 40% of us, if not a LOT more. so there was a rare time or two where id talk about this and i wouldn't be The First Person To Ever Tell Someone This Search-Engine Info. and every time it was bc the peer in question i just told would go "oh! yeah, i remember [insert name of other kid that i shared that elementary teacher with] said the same to me, like, last year!" or something. but that WAS rare so idk), or at least it always stuck with me. and i was one of the luckier kids who didn't NEED to know the info! and it still has stuck with me all these years later, even the examples of Kid-A and Kid-B!! like! i was on Kid-A's side of the spectrum WAY more than i was to Kid-B's side of the spectrum. my family definitely "trained the computer" in a way i got massive benefits from. like im talking i either was 100% Kid-A, 0% Kid-B or else i was a very minimal mix like maybe 93% Kid-A, 07% Kid-B levels of "minimal". yet still, whenever i find i distrust the google results on my phone, if im next to a friend, ill ask them to google the same thing i did to see if their first page of results looks better than mine and very often we DO get different search results! so!! even if i dont get how that works, that teacher was still right!
brief tangent: im convinced this is how some of my friends that are girls who do the whole "i can stalk your would-be-date like a Private Eye and find out information down to a C.I.A. level about if this person is worthy of being assumed to be trustworthy or not" benefit from this. like they themsleves have trained their phones (with their own dates and friends' dates and even co-workers/other acquantices' dates) or something to be AWESOME and THAT FAST at pulling up the results most likely to give them all of this stranger's private info. it's wild
anyway, screenshot or download the png or jpeg or whatever (or screenshot a frame from a video) to try to find the source if you think the lack of credit on the post implies i cant find it (bc it's either that or i forgot. which. "forgot" could mean "i have the source but didnt realize i didnt put it in the post" OR "i once had the source but now forgot who to credit this to and can't find them, oh no". so. good chance i likely need help even if it was an "oh, i forgot" type of mistake). you may have a better trained [whatever the tech is, if not IP, idk] than me at reverse-image-searching to find the people and/or company the item in question is originally from. who knows. go give it a try! what's the worst that could happen? lol
but yeah, when the source is obviously. like. Walt Disney Studios or like Pixar or Warner Brothers or RDJ or Nicholas Cage or whoever the fuck then like?? i didn't put credit bc they don't need the shout-out, you very well probably recognize the actor/studio/product they are in if it's something real mainstream that tou onlt know bc of pop culture osmosis, they got millions or billions of money as pocket-change, im not stressing myself out with crediting EVERYONE since crediting "everyone" doesn't affect "everyone" equally. im only worried about the people who not getting a shout-out could potentially very negatively affect (aka: the little guys). im not gonna stress about "the big guys" lol they're rich, they're easy to find, they're fine lmao
if you DO need help finding the source from "a big guy" that i posted about, just go @ me in a post and ask (or, hell, reblog the post that came from me and @ me in the said reblog. you can delete it after i answer you). i know i have Asks/Submits/Replies/etc turned off. (its bc i dont want to be accessible to everyone ever all the time lmao that feels stressful. so this One Public Avenue being the only way you could ask me means you gotta REALLY wanna know in order to get a hold of me). i do ask y'all don't do it for "a little guy" bc ill probably ignore you if i already tried to find said little guy and am ashamed that my labor was in vain (but if i do know the source for sure, like i still fully remember their info— and just simply forgot to credit said lil guy, then ill absolutely reply to you and edit the og post). know i check this blog VERY infrequently and may genuinely miss your question or answer it A LONG TIME after you @'ed me. so like. dont get mad if i take forever to reply?? or never reply? nobody wants to help someone who is entitled and gets mad at someone else for [not wanting to reply/didn't know they had something to reply to/took a long time to reply to but did reply]. mad or passive-aggressive. ive blocked people for less lol but yeah. just be polite to strangers, in general, of course, but also to strangers in predicaments like mine who have lives that take priority outside of a meme-y joke-y sideblog lol
to reiterate: feel free (but no pressure) to help if and when you can if you notice there was no credit for a lil guy on my blog pls? thanks 🫶
✎﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏a potential controversy
i think my lines with who i decide to credit and who i dont are overall pretty clear. and i think it helps that, the way i see it, im not a hypocrite about my ideas of who to credit and who not to: bc things do get dicey when it comes to crediting people with small edits. yet i also dont insist on any credit for any of my own edits, bc i also see my edits as p fucking small. which might get SOME people mad on principle should they disagree with my overall perspective. regardless, this bit here will VERY likely be my one and only statement about it
but i do fully admit i dont quite know THE qualative line exactly? but let's establish what i mean via examples. if an account is posting a clip-compilation of "Digital Circus" and they did a "all the times Jax was sassy for 3 minutes" or something, meaning they did splice and edit this compilation together (that is one chunk of editing they did in of itself). but then they also added tiny edits, like i know its common for tiktok funny-scene-compilation-editors to have one the said simple edits just be a "🙄😒" next the character rolling their eyes (in this case, Jax). in my mind?? even tho this editor did add these kind of very minimal additions to the content at hand? and im just profiting off of the convenience of "oH YEAH, i wanted this scene clipped to use for reactions/memes! i just was putting it off bc i didnt know its time-stamp" and i use any clips, those with "🙄😒" edits and otherwise, where the most editing *i* then do afterwards is like add captions? i still see that as "the source belongs to 'Digital Circus' as there were no significant edits done to alter the material". i'm not crediting the editor that i benefited from the clip-compilation of. that's part of why i also walk what i talk in saying "if i subtitled or edited additionally to anything on this blog? you do not have to credit me. i barely did anything. i just added text, maybe with some effects done to said text to reflect volume/tone/pitch or whatever, and maybe a couple emojis/pictures were overlayed. that's nothing. i try to caption most things for accessibility. and sometimes i feel like being a goofball and i add other things ontop of it. bur nothing worthy of crediting me". bc, in the case of my edits and other people's similarly small edits? is the gag 10 times out of 10 is all still on the original content. but we start talking about an edit as in someone made an AMV?? (as in they had to splice in time to the music and maybe did other edits in addition to elevate the AMV. not as in "look, i put music behind this otherwise unedited clip" lol) or someone heavily edited this non-AMV clip of Jax to have, idk, silly meme-y circus-music ontop of having done manips of a rainbow clown wig and nose to follow his every head-motion and then ALSO did the classic DUN-meme-sound reverberation with camera-shake and black-white filter after Jax's dumbest expressions or lines?? that. that is SO MUCH editing and definitely changes the clip to where i am absolutely sourcing both "Digital Circus" and that editor. both of the AMV and circus-Jax
so, again, idk exactly where the qualitative line is. but i do have one where i refuse to fuck over people who have edited the original content to the point that now the audience is there for this person's editing skills, and not bc of the original content within the clip/s used. does that make sense?? i hope that makes sense. this is my one and only statement im gonna make about it anyway lol i think my reasoning is sound. if your content is heavily relient on the original content being as unedited as possible but you just added a few things on the "🙄😒"-level to be a goofball? keep doing what you're doing, im not going to yuck your yum (especially since i am identical to you and i also love to add a bit of razzle-dazzle lol). but im not going to credit you, the credit goes to the people who made the said original content that this "🙄😒"-and-adjacent-edits dont alter or anything. it's still like 90% the original show's clip?? come on lmao you and i can both live without the credit. feel free to take my edits and add them to your account "so i see how it feels". it's still almost entirely the original show, so ive made my peace with rarely/never getting credit for my small edits or subtitles bc like.. it's still 90% the original show??? i did basically nothing. i just had fun, have a clip i can throw into discord or a text-conversation for a tee-hee with my loved one, and have given other people permission to benefit from this side-blog's collection and possible captioning. again, come on lol the editors who actually changed the content so much with their skills that, other than that they used the original show like a collage artist benefits from magazines and whatnot, they've DEFINITELY changed more than 90% of the content to the point that their viewers are having a different experience with this editor than they would be watching the original show or its clips. come on lmao

Ed, Edd n Eddy Series Bible (1996) -Analysis-
You can all finally read/download Ed, Edd n Eddy's official Series Bible right here! Thanks again to Chuckletons for sharing this with me and to Joey/Kongiscool0518 for sharing it in the first place, the Holy Grail of lost Ed, Edd n Eddy trivia!
One of the first posts I made for this blog was the Series Bible page. It was a composite of every source we had ever seen reference the series bible so far-- storyboarders in interviews, CN's old character guides, and the biggest source, an old CN UK posting about the show. Well, I figure now that we have the official source, I better update the old page (so everyone knows it's out of date), and make this new Series Bible post using the official source! Not much new information, but I was intrigued to finally learn the true phrasings of some things we had only heard paraphrased, as well as at least one detail from the movie that I couldn't believe came up this early in conception...
Unfortunately, Tumblr has apparently updated its post system to only let me add 10 images? Gonna try and only use images for what I need since you can read the actual document above, I guess I'll transcribe it too for easier reference and so we don't ever lose some archive of this.
Quickly, let's review what a series bible is:
A series bible is how creators pitch shows to networks. They can be called “pitch bibles” as well. Bibles do not usually get posted publicly, because they are initially under a strict Non-Disclosure Agreement by the network; also the creator may simply not wish to share it because it reflects the earliest stages of development.
The pitch materials typically include early concepts for characters, locations and episodes. Sometimes it exposes secrets, in this case, Ed and Eddy’s home lives, and sometimes the stuff in it is completely abandoned because it’s so early in production, in this case, casual references to school and adults.
Alright, everybody, it's time to gather 'round and read the Ed, Edd n Eddy Bible!
THE YEAR IS 1996.
YOUR NAME IS LINDA SIMENSKY. YOU WORK AT CARTOON NETWORK. A FRIEND OF YOURS, DANNY ANTONUCCI, IS WRAPPING UP A SHOW ON MTV. YOU GET THIS FAX.
Tumblr media
Linda Simensky immediately fell in love with this concept because as a child, she was best friends with 2 other Lindas for seemingly no reason other than the shared name.
I love how Danny decided last second to pencil in the correct names over each Ed, since they're arranged out of title-order.
"They're friends because they have the same name."
-the Logline for the series.
Fun fact: one storyboard artist for the movie observed that the movie is essentially all about challenging the series' original notion that the Eds are friends ONLY because of their name.
"A Danny Antonucci Cartuna"
-the label Danny used to use under announcements of new productions.
PAGE 1:
Ed, Edd n Eddy
They're best friends because they have the same name.
A gag laden, beat generated CARTOON bumper car ride of 3 misfit youths on a cul-de-sac in the suburbs of America.
Through summer vacation, part-time jobs, or just hang'n out at the corner mail box, they want to belong....but CAN'T.
From home chores, helping neighbors or eating jaw breakers, they want to fit in...but CAN'T.
Ed is into "B" monster movies, model kits and is quick to break out into rashes.
Lots of luck...
Edd is into chemistry, biology and prone to crushes.
Later...
Eddy is into pranks, is stylish and flaunts himself to the world.
Ya Right...
Ed, Edd n Eddy is a show about confusion and contradiction, that awkward part of youth, pimples, big feet, oily hair and... girls???.
Puberty is unforgiving.
I was fascinated by the lack of art on this page, it makes the pitch feel very focused. AKA logo in the corner, the title logo again up top, then the logline appears again below.
I really love the breakdown of Danny's vision of the show. "Gag-laden, beat-generated, CARTOON bumper ride." Very accurate, and I think "beat-generated" is the phrase that interests me the most. I typically think of "animation beats" as sort of a give-in-- technically all things fit a rhythm, so all stories are essentially just a montage of beats. But this does make me realize how important the strength of the beats and their rhythm are to the pacing of a cartoon and making you feel like "that was a good one." I feel like the "seasonal rot" viewers feel over the course of a show, and the way that perception differs from person to person, depends on the type of beats you want. Even though I am very into the experimental beats of a show in its later seasons, I can definitely see how season 1's beats are more typically appealing to a wide-audience, and how important a focus on that is to the longevity of a show.
I found it really interesting how the scams are initially conceived of here as "summer jobs." It adds to the sense that adults were originally meant to be present. Honestly a little surprised nobody with access to this bible had ever thought to mention that-- scams are not referenced ANYWHERE. Their image in the Series Bible is that they have summer jobs and help neighbors, which is certainly a much cleaner reputation than the Eds ended up with in the show. Makes me realize though, were some of the early scams, like Ed's Hive Bee Gone and their newspaper routes, supposed to be leaning into this early idea of them with almost legit jobs for unseen adults?
I was very amused by the repeated phrase that the Eds simply CAN'T fit in.
Loved to finally see the official phrasing for the confirmation that Peach Creek is in America. Not much different than I was led to believe, but still nice to have the true quote.
Also love Eddy being described as "stylish and flaunting himself to the world." The bold-print reactions to each micro-description is a cute idea too, I truly wonder who we were meant to picture saying those things in reaction. Each Ed? Kevin?
The "corner mail box" is an oddly specific phrase-- the Eds do hang around mailboxes throughout the series, especially seasons 1-3, and I believe the canon map does have a corner mailbox, but the idea that the Eds hang out at one specific mailbox went the way of Bro's supposed secret treehouses.
PAGE 2:
Ed, Edd n Eddy
Show Description
Gag laden. True cartoon style, inventive, non parody, fast paced, stretch and squash
Beat driven. (even when characters stop they hold with a bounce cycle. Adults never bounce. Music can play important part, not just fill.) But not a musical.
Cartoon surrealism. (viewers see the show as Ed, Edd n Eddy would, less important things tend to blend into the background, while objects of Ed, Edd n Eddy's desires are focused. Premise driven.)
The school year's over, (yeah!!!!) and the long HOT summer vacation begins (gulp). What to do?
Stuck on a cul-de-sac in the suburbs of America is the last place you want to spend summer break, especially when you find life confusing and contradicting.
Ed, Edd n Eddy is about friendship, and serves to remind us that they're no "good ole days," just smelly runners.
You can tackle anything, when your with your pals.
Their days are spent, for knowledge, acceptance and some cash for jaw breakers. Armed with pimples, big feet and oily hair the three amigos trek into the unknown.
Ed, Edd n Eddy are dying to be grown-ups, but they're kids, and attack adulthood as only kids would. Simple situations turn into a manic rollercoaster ride. (Don't forget your barf bag).
They just want to belong, and they're willing to pull off any insane stunt to prove it. First they need to figure out what it is they want to belong to.
Found it interesting that on this page, the show's logo is replaced with the title written in a jumbled font. Seems like the font from the show's end credits.
Hehe, the continued reactions to the descriptions. Allow me to be Double D for a moment and point out the increased use of parentheticals on this page, as well as one wrong "your".
I love Danny's insight that season 1 is framed by the context of how hyped everyone still is just to be out of school, but also the sense of pressure to make use of their break.
I really appreciate Danny getting further into the details of his summary of the show's style on the previous page. It only makes sense that he had this much of a vision that early.
A second confirmation of the cul-de-sac being in America! I'm also really into the repeated focus on the Eds finding the world "contradicting." I always loved how EEnE's inexplicable cartoon antics supported that sense that the Eds are highly aware of contradictions in both societal things and the actual characters.
Tumblr media
WOW, so I'm fascinated by this dual reveal. Before the wiggling outlines, which Danny usually calls a "boiling line" and describes as a tribute to wiggling inking in early animation, the series bible instead refers to him wanting the characters to do the iconic Fleischer "bounce," which is a much more commonly recognized rubberhose animation technique. Very interesting that Danny decided not to stick to that. Did it feel too out of place? Or was the overseas team not willing to animate a weight-shifting for every single held pose? Haha, guess I can see why boiling was an easier compromise. I wonder if he had any other ideas for how to make it more of a 1930s cartoon.
The other reveal to me here is that the movie's choice, that adults don't always wiggle in the show, was an idea from the very beginning! I guess I can better understand now why it's just too difficult to communicate a stylistic choice like that overseas-- no point making Bro not wiggle, that'd just create confusion.
Also, really disappointed that my wish for a musical is officially squashed in the series bible itself. That's a tragedy. The show's over, ya couldn't let me dream, Danny!? Conversely, I love Danny's forethought to say "non parody," I definitely noticed and appreciated EEnE's avoidance of derivative parody humor.
Tumblr media
My spouse had to point out to me that Danny probably means sneakers here, lol. Canadianisms!
The comments about the Eds wanting to grow up but needing to figure out what they want to belong to are so great and relate to the movie so well. I've heard those comments before, but the correct phrasing was cool to see.
PAGE 3:
Ed, Edd n Eddy (image of Ed in right corner)
Character Description
Ed
Attention deficiency syndrome.
He has trouble...
He can't....um...
OK, he draws all day in class.
When Eddy gets a bright idea...Ed's in.
Ed is easily talked into doing Eddy's "hard work". He has great physical strength.
Ed's happiest with his Model kits and B-monster movies. He draws his knowledge from his movies.
Ed smells. Flies are attracted to him.
Ed has sayings for all situations
ED: "you can change your shirt, and Bingo was his name..."
Ed's perpetually a slave to his younger sister's whims and whines.
Ed may have to baby-sit his sister, or let her watch whatever she wants on TV, or let her dress him up in mom's clothes.
Ed breaks out in Rashes. He's allergic to practically everything, especially Guinea Pigs.
Ed's Mom xerox's his sketches and doodles for her therapist.
Ed's Dad hopes to pass on to his son, his knowledge on "pre-owned" auto sales.
Very cute bit wasting the space at the top of the page. Danny seems very invested in Ed's personality already. The old sources we used to have definitely tried to condense these down to simpler blurbs.
Weird how Danny wants to essentially diagnose Ed with ADHD here (phrasing it very poorly, but it was the 90s and... Canada?). I don't know enough on the subject to debate it, but I still gotta point out Ed's canonical cracked skull!
Interested in the comment about Ed being most allergic to Guinea Pigs. I don't think that animal was ever even mentioned in the show. Eddy mentioned an old gerbil once....
Neat to finally have the real phrasing of the official word on Ed's parents! I saw someone comment earlier that this seems to be hinting Ed's Dad is selling stolen cars. I've never thought to question the legality of his apparent second-hand-car dealership (I imagined he works with Eddy's dad, who has received a legitimate award for his salesmanship), but those quotation marks are certainly making Mr. Ed's practices questionable! Best case scenario, Danny meant that more like italics or something, but maybe Ed's dad IS up to no good...
PAGES 4 & 5 (Ed's turn sheet and expression sheet)
PAGE 6:
Ed, Edd n Eddy (image of Edd in right corner)
Character Description
Edd
is really smart.
is really quiet.
Edd is unnaturally-- polite.
Edd hasn't been allowed to take gym ever since the Dodge ball incident. He's been excused to free study time in the library.
Edd doesn't like it when people touch his things.
EDD: "You may enter in my room, but don't touch my Lego robot. Thank you."
Edd's learning to play Peddle steel guitar. (his Mom makes him)
Edd's prone to "crushes". Girls in School, in his neighborhood, TV, anatomy books. He mails "true loves" his socks.
Edd is always ready for action, even though he can calculate the implications.
Edd constantly mumbles.
No one ever sees Edd's parents. They both work nights. They communicate to their son solely through Post-it notes. Edd's not allowed to touch anything in the house while they're gone. Anything.
Interesting how Danny slightly differentiates the barely-used space at the top here from Ed's description, to characterize Edd as more quiet and mumbly, adding an awkward "--" mid-sentence, perhaps to create the impression that Edd halts to choose words carefully.
Everything on this page feels familiar, from the character guides and other old sources. The most interesting thing to me here is that Edd's Mom forcing him to practice Pedal Steel Guitar is established this early, don't think I knew that, but I had noticed that it existed in his room from ep 1.
I love how the explanation in the beginning for why Edd goes along with their dumb schemes even though he's smart is basically just "he's always ready for action." ?!? I guess in a way???
That weirdly phrased Edd quote amuses me because it references Lego, just like the original concept background for his room before somebody nixed the copyright-namedrop.
Tumblr media
Edd's prone to crushes thing has been reaffirmed over and over in character bios even though it really doesn't come up outside of the cupid magic in HPH and the pilot-episode heart eyes at Sarah that are barely canon. Still, I've always loved the truly disturbing statement that he mails "his true loves his socks" and how that managed to make it into canon with a comic book example, a cel animation example and a digital era example.
Tumblr media
PAGES 7 & 8 (Edd's turn sheet and expression sheet)
PAGE 9:
Ed, Edd n Eddy (image of Eddy in right corner)
Character Description
Eddy
Exhibitionist.
Megalomaniac. (quote from his report card)
Eddy is the unofficial leader of the trio.
He's always got a plan, a stunt or a weird noise.
Eddy's the "class clown". He loves showing off. He loves being the centre of attention-- no matter how stupid the reason is.
Eddy is the only kid in his grade to have been expelled for aw hole week from school. It was his turn to set up the video for science class. He switched "Our Friend Yeast", for a video he "borrowed" from his parent's room.
Before Eddy's brother went....away, he enlightened Eddy with the "legends" of the neighbourhood. Eddy knows where all the abandoned tree houses are, which sewer pipers are safe to spelunk, and the secret recipe for the "El Mongo Stink Bomb" (it's been in the family for years).
He is the one who is most able to pretend that he knows it all... and doesn't care what anyone else thinks about him.
His genes are working the fastest.
Eddy's Dad is constantly concerned that Eddy may grow up to be a ...figure skater.
Eddy's Mom never believes his little darling was involved in such a heinous act.
Funny choice that Eddy's wasted-top-space is just two one-word descriptions, and allegedly lazily swiped from his negative report card.
Wow, we knew the report card quote and the "Our Friend Yeast" story from the UK show guide, but now we also know Ed's page says that Ed draws in class, and now I realize that Ed and Eddy have series bible school blurbs to match Edd's classic dodgeball incident blurb. Anyway, it's great that Eddy's showed his entire school some sort of sex video his parents have.
Very interested that the phrasing for the Bro/El Mongo Stink Bomb blurb even seems to suggest it's a family recipe. Eddy's Dad did have prankster stuff in his closet in JJJ... did Bro learn his prankster ways from Dad?? The neighborhood's secret tree houses have come up in other descriptions (at best, I'd say this could be related to that creepy shack the Eds found in the woods), but I think it's new info that Eddy personally learned the sewer routes from Bro. Interesting...
Thankfully, I had already heard about the Bible's awkward reference to Eddy being the most pubescent as "his genes are working the fastest," lmao.
Once again the Double D in me comes out to point out that the description of Eddy's Mom seems to switch to the Dad's pronouns.
PAGES 10 & 11 (Eddy's turn sheet and expression sheet)
PAGES 12-14 (Sarah, Jimmy, Rolf, Jonny, Nazz, and Kevin lineup of all 6, then 2 zoomed in lineups of the first 3 kids and last 3 kids)
(Funfact: the kids' designs were allegedly freelanced to an outside studio, hence why their refined later-season designs are so different from these lizardy starting places, lmao)
PAGE 15: (images of Sarah and Jimmy next to their blurbs)
SARAH
Ed's baby Sister.
It's her way or the Highway.
She has everything done for her, if NOT she'll "make" them do it.
She can be quick to judge.
Whinney.
A tatrum for every occasion.
More than a handful for Ed...or Edd and Eddy.
Thinks Edd is kinda cute.
Wants Eddy to MOVE...to another planet.
JIMMY
Sarah's best friend
He is always playing with girls, boys are just too tough.
He is accident prone, when ever we see him he has a different affliction, ie: band-aids, patches, casts, lumps...etc.
He is very clean.
The Ed's frighten him, "They're such brutes".
I'm surprised how much of the UK guide was accurate to what was really in the bible for them! Also surprised Danny misspelled "whiney" and "tantrum," one right after the other. Is this how Sarah spells them? ...Sorry, Danny, I yam what I yam.
PAGE 16: (images of Rolf and Jonny next to their blurbs)
ROLF
First generation of a landed immigrant family.
Nationality not important.
He's proud of his heritage.
He has peculiar traditions and/or customs.
He eats "weird" things.
He has hair on his back..... "yuck".
He confuses the Ed's to no end.
He confuses the other kids to no end.
JONNY 2x4
He is a wanderer and very inquisitive
From early morning to supper time, he is always outside playing, with his buddy, "Plank".
"Plank" is a wooden board that Jonny drew a face on with a crayon.
Jonny has wonderful conversations with Plank. ...Plank is a piece of wood.
Jonny makes himself very "accessible" to the Ed's.
Found it interesting that Rolf's bio is less clearly phrased than the UK bio set it up to be-- there they made it sound more like he mixes up who the Eds/kids are, here it's unclear whether it means that or (more likely) just means the obvious statement that everyone finds him confusing. If it's that, what a lame hollow bio Rolf got. This kid's based on you Danny, show some of that personal side!
Always loved Jonny's description, his life sounds so cute. Playing outside literally all day. Interesting to have it confirmed that Jonny drew Plank's face, I preferred to think the Eds drew him and sold him to Jonny, but whatever.
"Accessible" has always been an important vague description of Jonny to me. It really only applies to how chummy they could be with him in season 1, but it still sorta applies to his personality throughout the series as well.
PAGE 17: (images of Nazz and Kevin next to their blurbs)
NAZZ
She's cool, calm and assertive.
She is the most matured of the kids, or so she thinks.
She's into make-up and fashion magazines and Boys.
Sarah thinks she's awesome, wants to be just like her when she grows up.
When she enters a scene, all activity stops... boys freeze, they sweat, their hearts beat faster and faster. They lose their ability to talk. When she leaves, they recover and conclude it was something They ate.
She thinks the Ed's are funny.
KEVIN
He is cynical and sarcastic.
He thinks he knows the "routine". That's because he watches "60 Minutes".
It got a big laugh out of me that Kevin's description is only 2 sentences long. Nazz even has a more detailed character description from inception than Kevin. Love this for them.
Who's the Eds' rival? Well, he's cynical, sarcastic and he watches 60 Minutes, doesn't that tell you enough!?
I love the "mature... or so she thinks" remark about Nazz, a grounded flaw for her to have, being a little overcommitted to being mature like Eddy. It also perhaps suggests naiveté that makes it a little more reasonable that they didn't notice they were dumbing her down at the end of the series, but I do think the movie version of her better reflects the Bible's concept.
PAGE 18:
The Other Neighborhood Kids
Lineup of May, Lee and Marie.
The Kanker Sisters
These gals are tough. They bother, bully, provoke and bewilder everyone.
They live in a motor home park on the other side of the Cul-de-sac. The other kids have never been there.
They are proud of their Tammy Faye Baker memorabilia.
Their project "Cooking with Ketchup" closed down their school for a whole week.
No one likes them, especially the Eds.
They are determined to marry the Eds. They want them to do their dishes.
Amused that the Kankers are essentially being labeled backgrounds characters here, the role they mostly fell into in season 5. "Other" neighborhood kids...
I love that the Kankers have a school blurb to match each of the Eds', and that theirs has similar destructive-intentions to Eddy's video premiere story.
I believe all of this was all known from the UK guide as well, but still, neat stuff!
PAGES 19 & 20 (zoomed in Kanker lineup and their height chart with the Eds)
PAGES 21 & 22 (early promo art that used to be on CN's old Eds webpage, the art of the Eds eating jawbreakers at the end of ep 1 with the overhead text "Ed, Edd n Eddy love JAWBREAKERS!!!", and the art of the Eds all running with overhead text "Ed, Edd n Eddy see something shiny...."Jiggers." That weird "jiggers" statement at the end was normally edited out and I don't know what it means. Looked it up and it seems to be Chinook jargon (like when Ed said he was "skookum at X's and O's") usually said in the same sense as "CHEESE IT!")
PAGES 23+:
The rest of the pages in that bible download are from a 2004 storyboard test. The storyboard sample "It's Raining Eds," which we've seen some submitted samples of before, interpretations with Ed attempting to fly or chew gum and Edd making radioactive gum, I was surprised to find out the outline is just the original outline for the opening sequence to season 3's 'For Your Eds Only', seemingly Jonny was not written into the original outline (or was excised for easier testing purposes) but Kevin's brief cameo was. Now I wonder if they knew this would be used for a test when they wrote it, and if they would've come up with a less random way to include him if weren't forced to be a concise bit for testing's sake. (Your limit is typically 40 storyboard pages in my experience.)
I also noticed that in the included background references, the anonymous adult neighbor house next door to Ed's is officially just referred to as a "generic house."
Tumblr media
My analysis ends here, but be sure to download that sometime and enjoy all the raw storyboard sketches at the end of the document!

gutterinouterspace here -- I know we only interact casually but I'd like to interact with your blog more! it just sits with me the wrong way that you repost fan art without credit/permission/links to the artist, so if you could stick to not doing that, it would be great. thanks and stay cool!
That's fair. I usually suck at sourcing (and tagging stuff overall) since I'm lazy and overall pretty bad at tumblring.
I'll try to do better (and if you find sources for anything I've posted then feel free to message me with a source and link to my post and I'll update it asap)

A post on why Riot writes extremely good queer characters
First of all, let's get the obvious out of the way. Riot is a sexist, misogynistic, at times even homophobic company caught in the middle of controversies and lawsuits on the basis of these claims, who are infamous for sucking off self-proclaimed anti-sjws on reddit, and even firing or sabotaging employees who desperately try to push for progress and inclusivity. That is a cold hard fact that should not and must not be ignored when discussing League of Legends and their creative content, from in-game art, splash arts, character biographies and short stories and all of the such.
HOWEVER
I want to bring attention to the fact that I've been thinking a lot about how queer characters in the League of Legends universe are actually... Very very very well written in terms of their identity. I'm making this post simply because I just think it's important to acknowledge the good in addition to the bad when huge companies with huge games release new content. And quite frankly, I was almost on the verge of tears when realized the things I'm about to present and I want you to feel the same warmth in my heart for these characters as I am.
Let's start from the obvious,
Neeko
Confirmed on Twitter to be a lesbian by the very writer who created her, her in-game voice lines are her literally flirting with all of the women. Literally. Her lesbianism isn't something confined to outside sources (like Tracer's). She constantly talks about how she loves women, openly, in-game. That's just who she is, she's a curious little thing with so much love in her heart it's literally bursting out of her. But my biggest point comes from her talking about how much she loves BEING other women. I've read a bunch of posts on tumblr as well as comments on youtube who can articulate this way better than me so I'll link the one who encompasses it the best.
Tumblr media
I've felt this on my own skin as well. And I cannot explain in words what it means that Riot took the experiences young lesbians go through in terms of their queerness and turned them into an actual character! Neeko's core identity is inseparable from her queerness and that is something I appreciate so immensely.
Varus
First of all, Varus, the incorporeal Darkin demon isn't gay. The bodies he used to be able to manifest into a corporeal form are however, of two gay lovers. I'm not gonna give Riot full credits for openly gay men in their game before they update Varus' very old model and voice lines to match his new lore and story and only then we can say Kai and Val, the men Varus is possessing, are real, established gay men characters in League.
But even in Varus' story, his entire existence within the story of this game is very directly tied to these men's queerness, as the only reason Varus was released from his prison deep within some magical well was only because Val wanted to save his dying lover. Varus only has a physical form and only exists simply because of a gesture a man did to save his dying lover. You cannot separate the queerness from Varus' core identity into this game.
Taliyah
Now we're getting into some blurred canon lines territory and I wasn't even gonna include her until Neeko made a reference about it. Taliyah in early development was a little trans girl whose entire journey through life revolves around discovering her own self and the extent of her powers, to the point she was driven to set off on a long journey throughout the lands, pushing her magical abilities to their limits and finding her place in the world, seeking justice for her own people, for whom she didn't believe Azir was a just Emperor to. Somewhere along the lines of her development they decided to either remove her trans identity, or just decided to never ever mention it again. Though, here's this tweet of a developer who worked on her.
Tumblr media
This makes it sound as though they decided to cancel that idea, until Neeko, who can sense the very souls of people with her own magical abilities, had this to say about Taliyah
Tumblr media
This isn't something that we should give Riot full credit for since her identity as a trans girl isn't clear at ALL. However, this is again something that's deeply ingrained within her identity, what inspired her to set off on a journey of self discovery. You simply cannot detach this character's queerness from her core identity as well.
I'm only briefly going to mention a very short line another developer answered in a Q&A after Taliyah was initially released, not outright saying she's pan, but that her journey of self-discovery applies to people she likes as well.
Tumblr media
Again, not very clear at all but with Riot's current climate of clusterfuck after clusterfuck, I'm glad the writer settled for "not 100% straight".
Diana
Oh boy, the fucking Diana fiasco. This character was created by IronStylus, a former employee at Riot. He wrote this character as a lesbian, he brought that identity into her story, to him she is and always was supposed to be a lesbian. I could link forum posts but frankly there's way too many instances of him talking about it for you to miss it if you Google it, he has even read and asked people to link him Diana and Leona fanfiction. Now Riot, as the lovely company we all know they are, of course deleted every single trace of lesbianism from Diana's lore and story before she got officially released. But nevertheless, let's talk about how her queerness is a part of her identity. This time it's not exactly the same case as the others since her entire story is a metaphor of an individual being forced to conform to society she doesn't sit right with her and always being drawn to something different. The Solari are very traditional and rigid "that's just how it's always been" people worshipping the sun and Diana despite being born and raised this way, was always drawn to the moon, that was fiercely looked down upon in Solari society. She was warned to not lose sight of "what's right" until one day she found a book written by a tribe named the Lunari who worshipped the moon and Diana finally felt right, set off to find a shrine made by the Lunari and got imbued with pure lunar energy. The Solari immediately shunned her and now she travels the world seeking to avenge the Lunari tribe and prove worshipping the moon isn't wrong. (I want to also note the contrast between the Solari being so set in their beliefs to the point of being toxic versus the Lunari believing their way of life and worship is just as important and valid. Y'know, before the Solari wiped out all but a few traces of the Lunari's existence.)
But yeah, I think I've made my point on how Diana's story is one about the hardships of being gay in a conservative society. Also yes, the physical embodiment of the moon is lesbian. Runeterra's moon is lesbian. League of Legends has a lesbian moon.
But yeah, I don’t wanna make any implications here farther than just what I’m saying in this post, but it just made me extremely happy that in the confines of League’s lore, Riot has used all of the potential within their universe to make sure their queer characters’ identities are inseparable part of their story that cannot be erased. Thank you.
