so here are my thoughts ab the zelda movie & i'm still cooking...like we could even make the whole movie a reverse chronology through zelda's different incarnations, frame story within a frame story within a frame story kinda deal starting with botw, setting up her struggles with her dad & the pressure that she feels there then it shoots back to twilight princess or something & we see queen zelda's exposition of getting caught in her political dilemma then we jump back to sheik & her tragic story and then we just hop between the stories showing the parallels/generational trauma of being in her position

OR we write a story that is an amalgamation of all of the key characteristics of each zelda (she's the sole leader of her kingdom like in tp, but she supposedly has powers that haven't manifested themselves yet like botw, however there's a prophecy that she dreamed ab the impending evil like in oot, and she has the alter persona of sheik bc that is iconic, etc.) and we just see one zelda carrying all of the strongest story arcs of the games on her sole back

and then link is just There as a side character. like, a shredded knight who can do literally anything but he's just the male side character as we explore zelda's character development and growth
