Mind if I say... If Elliot was saving the Augustine family ring for Kat, and if he ever gets it back from Vic, and back in 1816 that was the ring Susanna wore after being wed to Cyrus, and in the 2020s Susanna is buried in the graveyard, if Elliot ever proposes to Kat then she will perhaps wear the ring of her beloved friend Susanna, separated by time, every single day. And I think that would either be very comforting or very devastating, to have a constant reminder of how she cannot return to Susanna anytime she wishes (either because the pond moves her on from the 1800s, or because it's frozen and she can't go, or because she is forbidden/prevented from seeing Susanna when she goes). Especially with how close they are. I wonder if it will be hard for Kat, if that happens.
