"could goku beat him?" not the right question. is he deserving of being beaten? goku is looking for a good time unless someone is doing direct active evil where he can see. he wasn't even that invested in stopping raditz until his own son got stolen. goku's power isn't the question, it's his personal investment in the situation.

2, I also think that it's not... like. saitama in this situation isn't assaulting chi-chi. he would never. it's more like, he's trying to goad goku into a fight because of his need to prove strength, though tbf even by the time I fell out of interest with opm he had mostly settled on actually only fighting for good reasons, and just being disappointed with the results.

I was thinking more like, saitama and goku getting some drinks or whatever and saitama saying "what if I was to try and fight your wife" and goku fully serious like "she'd kill you lol"

meanwhile posing the same question to vegeta would have no pause, because he takes things seriously when it's his family, esp bc bulma isn't superhuman strong herself
