✨ Ayaka Cryo (Permafreeze) DPS Build ✨

💎 I still remember the first time I tried Ayaka during her story quest and I was in complete awe because of her unique mechanic. I was still AR35 back then, and I only had Childe as my 5* character. I immediately saved up just to get here. I even bought battle pass so I could get Black Sword because I didn't have any crit sword that I could use for Ayaka.

💎 Long story short, not only I managed to get Ayaka herself, I was also lucky enough to bring home her signature weapon. I was happy beyond the clouds. To me, she provides fun gameplay that is unlike any other dps with her alternate sprint. As my first dps who I invested a lot on, Ayaka remains as my favorite damage dealer in the game.

💎 Disclaimer: This build is not perfect and by no means should be treated as a rigid rule. I just share what I have tested in game and what I know works for me. So always do your own research and take my guide with that note in mind!

It's pretty nice, right? Those are her burst showcase at talent level 8. Yes, she's heavily buffed but these numbers are definitely not impossible to reach for Ayaka as she's a pure dps.

Artifacts Sets

💎 Being a cryo character means her crit rate requirement is low as she can fully benefit from the 4 pc Blizzard Strayer artifact set. It gives her 20% extra crit rate against opponents affected by cryo, and another extra 20% if the opponents are frozen. Plus, another 12% crit rate bonus from cryo resonance. Which means you can get 52% crit rate if you play her in permafreeze team with double cryo unit. So don't be surprised why a lot of Ayaka build has relatively low crit rate as she plays in permafreeze team most of the time.

💎 Though this set has its own downfall if you're fighting against boss enemies who can't be frozen. When such situation arises, I would switch her build to reverse melt Ayaka with 2 pc Blizzard 2 pc atk% set and make sure her crit rate is > 60%.

Artifact stats: atk% sands, cryo damage goblet, crit damage or atk% circlet (if she lacks atk and already using Mistsplitter)

Ratio to follow: 1:3 crit ratio with 35% crit rate (if using 4 pc Blizzard), 135% ER (with double cryo unit in the team), and > 2.000 atk

💎 I personally love playing Ayaka in permafreeze team because I can run her with 4 piece Blizzard. And to make sure she gets all the full benefit of the 4 set, it's required to play her with hydro unit to keep enemies frozen. I also put Diona as my second cryo unit to help battery Ayaka so she can keep her burst up every rotation. Lastly, Kazuha is there for resistance shred and crowd control to make sure Ayaka's burst hits all the enemies.

💎 Having a crowd control character comes in handy as Ayaka's burst is pretty similar to Diluc's where it pushes back enemies, so you would want to have them grouped together to make sure they take all the hits. If you don't have Kazuha, you can opt for Sucrose, as she's by far the easier to obtain cc character. Her burst will help pull opponents in so you can focus your burst in one spot. Granted the opponents are frozen, so the burst's damage can be maximized.

Talents Priority

💎 With Ayaka, you would want to triple crown her hahaha. All of her talents are worth to crown. Many people prioritize her burst first, but I personally prefer: normal attack > burst > skill. If you're pretty low on resources, maybe just crown her burst.

Weapon Choice

5* choices (left to right): Mistsplitter Reforged, Primordial Jadecutter, Haran Geppaku Futsu

4* choices (left to right): Amenoma Kageuchi, The Black Sword

💎 She has quite a huge array of weapon choice honestly, even the 4 star ones. Do keep in mind that Ayaka's ascension bonus is crit damage.

the genshin manhua/webtoon is such a boon and curse for diluc stans tbh

there are. so many interesting lore ties.the way the delusion was implied to be for him, specifically, from the same experiments that had been literally injecting people with god residue. the fact that he no seen lingering side effects from 4 straight years of use. the way his eyes change and glow when using the delusion. the fatui symbol on his mask. the khaenri'ah star in his office, the khaenri'ah star in that single panel on his bartender outfit. the fact he literally broke his delusion

and none of it has ever been touched on since. sure, theres a thousand and one ties to the ragnvindrs in-game (hellloooo mage n and the hexenzirkel, windblume, the dragonspine glider) but its such a fucking pity that not even his skin, which literally has him using elemental energy without a vision or delusion mentions it.
