Glacialis Corcillum, the strongest wizard guild from the continent Glacies. Months prior to the Grand Magic Games that took place in the year X791, Glacialis Corcillum’s guildmaster Eques Impetu decided to take her strongest guild members to Fiore in order to branch their guild out across the world. Once they had settled in, Eques made the choice to enter Glacialis Corcillum into that year’s Grand Magic Games tourament. Before the games were set to begin, she had the guild members train with various other wizards to improve their combat skills, and train on their own to better their spiritually and strengthen their connection to the Arctic.

Each guild member has a mark somewhere along their body that represents their magic type, along with their guild mark. Since Eques is commonly clad in battle wear, she bears her magic mark on her armor, signifying that her magic type is that of the Paladin. Simialr to Erza’s Knight magic, Paladin magic is considered at a higher rank since the user must spend years fighting in war in order to be blessed with the ability. Like Erza, Eques can requip, trading out her armor and weapons for new ones in mere seconds. Yet her arsonal is much different from Fairy Tail’s Titania, Eques obtains her weapons and armor by forming bonds with the spirits of fallen warriors who have gifted her with them, along with battle knowledge.

Lumi bears her magic mark on her chest, showing that she is a celestial mage. The celestial magic from Glacies is much different than that of Fiore’s. While Lucy has to carry around keys of the spirits she has contracts with, Lumi does not. In order to form a bond with a spirit in Glacies, the seeker must educate themself on the spirit they are searching for and learn how to appease said spirit. Lumi has spent years gathering intellect before even considering starting her search for Glacies celestial spirits. The bonds a celestial mage from Glacies has with their spirits compared to a celestial mage from Fiore are quite different, it’s much harder for a mage from Glacies to form a contract, especially if they upset the spirit which commonly results in death. Lumi also holds a strong connection to the astral plane, if given the proper enviroment she can meditate and have her soul enter the celestial world while her body remains in the human world. The celestial spirits from Glacies are called upon by the user reciting their given prayer. 

The man with the magic mark on his forehead is Sacerdotis, an Ice God Slayer. His parents worked in the temple of Proelium, the son of a star spirit and ice mage. During Proelium’s life he dedicated himself to doing what was best for his tribe and saving his people. He became a skilled ice mage and when he passed he was reborn as Glacies’ Ice God. A temple was built by members of his tribe in his honor. While Sacerdoties was in his mother’s womb, Proelium had blessed him the gift of weilding Ice God Slayer magic. 

Eira hosts her magic markings on her chest, along with her cheeks. Her mother was a nomad who spent her life traveling. When she had come across the temple of the water goddess Sanitatem she had met a false prophet who had taken advantage of her. When the nymphs who had taken care of the temple had found out about this, they banished the false prophet and took the nomad in. It was later revealed that the woman was pregnant, she died giving birth to Eira. Eira was raised by the temple nymphs and during her youth less and less people visited the temple, and the nymphs started to die out. The last nymph left was Influit, the one who was Eira’s primary caretaker, while growing up Influit had taught Eira the ways of the nymphs and even their magic. On Influit’s death bed she passed the blessing of Nymph Slayer magic onto Eira. Not only does her magical mark show her status, but also the white streaks of hair she hosts.

Viribus’ markings are on his chest. He’s a takeover mage like Elfman. But much like Lumi he had to seek out the monsters of the Arctic who’s forms he wanted to host. In order to obtain their power, Viribus had to fight with these monsters to gain their respect. Once he had won the fight, the monster he was facing, they form a contract, and the creature would bond their soul with Viribus’. When Viribus wants to use a monsters form, he must recite their hymns.

Captiosus bears his mark on his right hand, showing that he’s a tradtional Arctic mage. Much like Nix, he’s able to use water, ice, and snow magic. His father had trained him to use these magic types from a young age. He’s always expanding his knowledge on the forms of magic he has learned to better improve his ability.
