I'm HOWLING at the idea of Danny only going along with this cuz Dani wanted to, but if he's stuck with it??? Might as well play it up

He gets to make a lot of bad puns, use his dramatic side for the win. Everyone underestimates him when they see some scrawny teenage punk dressed up in what i obviously meant as a mock up from Catwomans alias. And then he wipes the floor with everyone they come across, bats and birds included, and ppl stop laughing.

well, not Dani, she finds the whole thing hilarious. she had picked Catwoman after all. She loved how sneaky and badass she was, and plus, cats!!!

So now they each had a cat alias. And hiding from the government as a plus??? What was there to lose?

Literally best idea ever though, Danny loved Selina. He honestly hadn't expected her to take them seriously though when they proclaimed their reverse adoption. So this whole idea was even funnier

Cue something happening that Danny can't honest to God explain away. Like he's in a tight corner in a four way fight. Catwoman, Batman, Poison Ivy, and (to everyones dissatisfaction) some Joker hired goons. Danny had showed up to help Catwoman. He didn't want the Jokers men to seriously hurt her, even though she was a meta and generally was very durable. But then the robins and Batlings had all showed up and it got crazy. Harley made an appearance, she was having fun bashing in some clown-masked men, which had distracted him enough that the hit came out of nowhere.

He took a hard swing straight to the chest and-- stumbled backwards directly off the side of the skyscraper.

He was falling-- shit-- he didn't have a way to get out of this without his powers-- he saw Batman leap off the edge towards him, trying to catch him. Danny knew he wouldn't make it.

Danny slowed the descent just enough to make it believable that he had hit the pavement. His bones would heal, they always did.

Batman though, looked mortified. Oh shit. Fuck. Batman was staring at his should-be-dead body. Can't have him investigating. shit there goes their ghost cover.

Danny pushed himself off the ground, brushing away the dirt before Batman could get close to him. Batman stared, looking shocked.

"what? Didn't know that cats have nine lives?"

And then he booked it, skidding into the dark alley and immediately going invisible. This was going to be hard to be impossible to explain to Selina

Black Cat AU

Catwoman hears something on the roof of her condo so she goes up to investigate. She did not expect a teenage boy in a black skintight catsuit to hop up from the ledge and kneel down before putting pouches of jewels and coins in front of her.

She was about to speak, primarily to ask wtf was happening when another much smaller figure of a girl struggled to get over the ledge and onto the roof. The boy looked like he wanted to help, but instead waited for the girl to make it on her own. The girl looked nine. And was she only wearing cat ears and a blindfold to hide her identity? Adorable.

They introduced themselves as Black Cat and Alley Cat respectively before the girl announced that they were reverse adopting her and that they were her new kids.

Black Cat facepalmed as Catwoman laughed, she loved them already.

Damian has the opposite opinion of the duo upon first meeting when both he and Red Robin got so thoroughly humiliated and caught in thier own restraints. The cats proceeded to taunt the birds before kissing both the birds cheeks, leaving lipstick stains that they had to spend an hour scrubbing off.

The cats make extra sure to not use thier powers unless they're cornered and even then they're sneaky about it. They don't want anyone to think they're metas and they sure don't want anyone to know about the "Ghost" thing

Danny is LIVING for the amount of bad luck and cat puns he can make, plus he can add death puns on top of them

(Remember this au because you're going to be seeing a lot of it. Also I know Marvel has a character named Black Cat. Don't @ me about it)

Yeah, I would too if the person I look up to and trust after having bad past and trauma with very fragile trust and a trust issues mind you, the pain is goin to be so much that I could feel the physical pain from betrayal and a broken trust again.

So yeah, Danny walk away from Bruce is understandable.

Protective ghosts are even more understandable! Since ghost have can be very territorial and obsessive but also protective of their own especially a ghost child and this is a baby ghost! A Royalty baby ghost!

How dare these mere mortal hurt their baby ghost prince?!

Would be even more fun if Danny is also another eldritch ancient being in process that is still a baby, since he died in the portal and he's kinda part of the realm itself the day he died... So yeah. This escalated quickly in my mind, please forgive me.

DP x DC AU where Danny is in the process of becoming another member of the Batpham because he's finally found a group of people who love him, a parent who fully accepts him, and a city that doesn't care about his spooky flavor, but then he finds the Batman contingencies, is fully exposed to Batman's obsession with fighting crime, the emotional constipation, and especially the blood blossoms Bruce started growing in a specially confined area.

He'd just traded a set of obsessed parents for a singular obsessed parent. It wasn't even that, that wasn't too different from some ghosts he knew, but how could Bruce keep something that essentially only exists to torture him on the premises?

Danny should walk away from Bruce just like Selina did at the end of Batman: Hush.
