if you leave tedious replies on posts I reblog about intellectual property and/or machine learning tools, I will just block you, for my sake as well as the OP. if you're someone I recognize from my notes maybe I'll just softblock. but come on

#this includes criticisms of AI tools that apply just as much to any kind of procedural artwork #like running a chaotic simulation and curating from among the results #that is very much an artist doing something. there isn't “no artist so you can't find out more context or depth about the work”#if I throw paint at the wall 1000 times and select 5 of those results that is in fact me doing something #not the paint. or gravity #(it's not necessarily *good* art but saying there's no human agent is very silly)
