I had heard a story in my family as a young boy and quickly forgot it until circumstances in my family caused me to remember it a short time ago. When my Uncle Karl (my Mom's brother) was a little boy he saw a movie with a then young Harry Belefonte in it and he yelled "DADDY" and everyone in the theater laughed. But many were stunned to see my Grandpa John's resemblance to Belefonte in the light of day. It was pretty uncanny. His middle name was Henry and when my Mom was little she had a book about John Henry, the steel driving man, and she thought it was about her daddy cuz the illustrations were of a strong dark man. My grandpa was an orphan and adopted by my great grandma Toni. He grew to become a science teacher at my old high school but retired before I went there. A few years back I got my Ancestry tested and learned I am part African. This coupled with my Grandpa's death made me remember that story and then when my Mom died one of my jobs was to sort through old family photos dating back to the early 1900's. I am still sorting a year later. Indeed Grandpa John looked as though he could have been a stunt double for Harry Belefonte. He was in the navy and was known for being strong as Hell and dark skinned. Sometimes the "N Word" was thrown at him which usually resulted in someone getting their lights knocked out. But he was a good man and a one Hell of a carpenter. For some reason it never occurred to us that he was black or that we were part black. He was just Grandpa. Grandpa who used to teach us how to use tools. Grandpa who used to put is in the back of his pick up and drive hard over bumps so we would bounce (probably not a good idea in retrospect but it was fun). Grandpa who used to take us to swim in the ditches (probably not a good idea in retrospect but it was fun). He had a rugged "Jack Palance" quality and loved working with his hands. When I was about 12 yrs old I went to the movies and saw Beetlejuice and felt an immediate connection to the ghost with the most. It cracked me up when he made the guests dance against their will to The Banana Boat Song and I quickly mastered a Michael Keaton impression. Grandpa didn't laugh much but I am proud to say I knew how to make him laugh. I thought I'd tell you guys this story. When I learned only a few short years ago of my ancestry I was shocked but in a good way. While I have never fully understood human pride over one's bloodline or race as it is an accident of birth and not exactly a grand accomplishment that one aims for I was really happy to know that I was a small part of some cultures whose music and art have meant so much to me. I have yet to meet an aggressive pitpull. My cousin had one named Lumpy and he was the sweetest thing. He never even barked unless he saw a cat, and only cats. She slept with him and would just lay one him and he didn't give a shit. He the most laidback dog I have ever seen.

I had a friend who got a young one when he was 12 and that little idiot wanted his new pit Joker to be a fight dog (thankfully only lasted 2 weeks when he realized Joker was a sweetie) cause he thought it would be 'cool'. Joker gave no fucks and thought the play-fighting they did was THE MOST FUN EVER. He never bit or so much as growled at anyone and if anything he'd lick you to death.

I've had a pit get loose and come running up to me so I could pet them with a frantic owner running after, assuring me that his pit wouldn't hurt me. He thought I'd panic and report that his pit git loose to the animal warden. Do you have any idea how relieved he was when I told him I loved pits and I wasn't scared if his dog???

This poor guy had someone try to get his previous pit killed for simply existing (it didn't happen and his baby died happy and of old age thank GOD) and he was scared I'd do the same thing.

The only dog I have ever cone accross that was violent as fuck was an Australian Sheppard named Trixie who became the terror of my Gramma's neighborhood and tried to attack my miniature horses through the fence (then tried to break in) eat my Gramma and my cat, NUMEROUS TIMES TRIED TO ATTACK PEOPLE WALKING DOWN THE ROAD EVEN IN THEIR OWN YARD and even tried to attack an 8 yr old child.

Do you think for one second that the animal warden did a damn thing but tell the owners to keep their dog in the kennel? And then did anything to enforce it when they didn't?

NO.

But I know people who have had their pits shot or taken and put to death simply for getting out of the house by accident.

Sorry this was so long but I feel very strongly about how pitbulls are mistreated.

Apparently people have been adopting dogs and either killing them themselves or dropping them to a kill shelter (and one even said they were flying them to poor Asian areas to be eaten) under the Twitter hashtag #pitbulldropoff

This is completely cruel and evil and word needs to get around about these demons so everyone knows what these demons are planning to do to dogs once they get ahold of them.

If you know someone or if you yourself is planning to give away a pitty by craigslist soon, DONT and wait for awhile!!!! They act like they’re going to adopt them and act all nice then they get rid of them, don’t be fooled!!

I just love how @taylorswift could make her swifties use their brains in perceiving whatever she's been posting..writing..the puzzles..the photos etc..etc! Everything with what Taylor would do we need to use our brains..that's exactly how it's supposed to be when you're a TS fan..our analytic prowess will work to the fullest. The day LWYMMD came out..her so-called "haters" looked like so dumb..lol..this time they couldn't understand anything and that includes the media people. I'm glad Taylor shut them off!! Anyway, Hats off to Taylor Swift and to those people behind her..whose always been there for her. So haters probably you know now..you can never ever ruin her Reputation again!! I'd suggest just buy the Rep Album and start listening to it from track 1 to 15..I'll tell you after listening to it you will be smarter..you'll be very intellectual or even be a genius hahaha. Coz guys with Taylor's work you need to be brainy. Anyway, this Rep Era is really so exciting for me coz I just joined Tumblr recently and since I'm a swiftie from year 2010. Imagine I've been a Silent Swiftie for Seven Years! This time I need to show my support for Taylor Swift. I want to be an active fan. Actually, I live and work from another Continent so my time and connection with Taylor is so limited. Anything bad and hate comments about Taylor makes me sad. I don't know why she's been attacked by the Media people and the fans of her rivals..so I thought of following other swifties. Lately I became more active in social media..I gave time to connect with them. I was able to know more about @taylorswift and of course her followers too. I got the chance to follow some of her fans from IG..twitter and here on tumblr..unbelievable! Some were literally babies and some of them started when they're 7-10 yrs old and now working but still very active Swifties. Now my twitter account is like TS fan account hahaha..I unfollowed that needs to be unfollowed lol Am I that bad?..I followed mostly those swifties who were part of Secret Sessions..I'm still searching for the others so I could follow all 500 of them. Even here on Tumblr I was able to find them. I need to connect with all of them. Anyway, speaking of Rep album release I pre-ordered rep but sadly it says that Expected 12 November..😔😕😂 what happened? 3 days ago I went to Virgin Megastore to check if Rep CD will be available there..but I didn't see any special shelf for TS REP..😂😂😂. I want to find ways on how I could listen to the whole album. Thankfully, I saw one twitt from iheartradio that we could get to listen REP songs for free all day long. Isn't that cool? REP Era for me is so memorable, because when I decided to follow and know more about Taylor Swift's "truest and loyal fans" I became more aware on how to participate with the people who share the same interest with the kind of music we love to listen to. That "connection" is so important specially to this almost unreal "fandom" yes, it's too good to be true..but this is for real..no other fandom can equal this..We have our Idol who is so sincere to her fans all over the world. What else we could ask from her. She has given almost everything..each word on her songs is penned down from within her heart. It's just amazing! Taylor is Amazing..and her Fans are Amazing!! I want to follow all 500 SS. I already followed some of them, I will continue to search for you guys..😉 BTW, I am waiting for The Taylor Swift Life..let this be available A.S.A.P. coz I really wanna say goodbye 👋👋👋 to all the haters..😁😆

P.s. she's the only Artist who physically connected with her fans..from the day she's started she never forgets to thank her fans. You'd always hear her say how grateful she is to her fans.
