Man, they keep giving us good covers today :3

Also, there’s A LOT to bring up about this one. First of all, we finally get a cover with Rough and Tumble on it after a while! ...It also has everyone else, including even more characters that haven’t shown up yet, such as Big and Marine. They’ve actually been hinting at Big coming in for a while, but this is the first time they’ve acknowledged Marine. Since she’s from the same dimension as Blaze, I wonder how they’ll bring her into the plot. Also, if you look at the moon on the right side, you can make out the outline of... Dodon Pa? I wonder if that means he’ll also show up at some point. This is also the first time we get to see basically the entire cast’s Metal Virus versions! Hell, there’s even a Metal Froggy! One thing I find interesting about these Metal versions is how some of them like Silver and Blaze appear to still have their powers despite being infected. It could just be an aesthetic thing for the cover, but I wonder if that’ll eventually play into the plot. Similarly, we can see that Starline might still be able to use the Warp Topaz, even when he’s infected. I don’t know how exactly that would even work, but it’s still neat. Also, Omega and Gemerl are dead. Like, REALLY dead. Now, I think Omega being pretty much destroyed might somehow be connected to the fact he lost his body in Issue 20, but I don’t know about Gemerl. One other thing I’ve noticed that a couple other people have brought up is the fact that Eggman is the only character not shown to have a Metal variant, making me wonder if he’ll EVER get infected now. This cover might also bring about the possibility of literally everyone getting infected, but I feel like that probably wouldn’t actually happen, and it’s once again probably just a hypothetical novelty for this cover.

One other thing I should mention is that this is one of the covers for Issue 24, and the only cover we’ve seen so far for Issue 25 shows characters like Sonic with no signs of the Metal Virus at all, even though Sonic IS infected with it. Similarly, this cover also shows characters like Sonic, Charmy, Shadow, and Rough and Tumble without the virus. Now, in the case of Issue 24, I don’t think there’s any real significance to this because they just did it to go along with the gimmick, but what about Issue 25? We’ve seen that a lot of the covers (especially since the Metal Virus thing started) don’t necessarily reflect the things going on in the comc itself such as the B cover of Issue 16, so maybe characters like Sonic and maybe Tails (given the things we know about Issue 21) will be infected in Issue 25 despite the cover. Once again, this probably isn’t significant at all, but I still found it interesting.

EDIT: I just now realized something... even though this cover includes most of the IDW exclusive characters, there’s no sign of Mimic. Now, it would make sense why they wouldn’t include the Diamond Cutters because they might actually be dead, but Mimic is still around. Could this mean that Mimic won’t really be a part of the plot following Tangle and Whisper? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

If it’s not obvious, I love this cover :3 If we can please get a game based off of this with all of the IDW characters as playable characters, I’ll love it :3

We literally JUST got the first cover and solicitation for Issue 24, but there apparently is already ANOTHER cover finished for it? That seems rather contradictory to all the things I’ve talked about with Issues 21-23, so... what’s going on right now? I mean, seeing more upcoming covers is of course a good thing, but with the things going on with the other upcoming covers, it kinda worries me.

Also, it’s nice to see that Silver the Hedgehog is coming from the future to tell us info about what’s gonna happen in IDW :3 Hey Silver, if you’re reading this, can you tell me if the Rough and Tumble mini series will happen? Also, does Sega finally give in and let Team Hooligan into IDW? Thank you in advance, Silver the Hedgehog :3
