Okay but I genuinely adore Dolores as a character so much, she and Robbie deserved so much better. They were so happy with their parents and then lost them so suddenly, Robbie not even being aware they are dead. His second deduction implies Dolores arm was removed by force, I wonder if it's connected to their parents death? Then the following months she did everything to protect Robbie as he's all she has left and she cares about her little brother; throwing out the meds used on him (and if shes unable to, taking them herself), repeatedly asking to share a room so he won't hurt himself climbing around the building, not telling him whatever happened to their parents... and then the night of his death she wasn't there to protect him. She was taken away to a room, implied to be under the influence of the amnesia "meds" we find in-game (not recognizing Robbie at the time), he wants to check on her because he hears his older sister screaming but the window frame is too broken and next thing she knows her little angel is gone. "Since they've lost their humanity and the asylum is basically hell, I may as well bury everything here!" I'm convinced she's the one who attacked staff & possibly other patients, as a way to make WSS pay for especially Robbies but also other patients/children's deaths...

I do hope we find out more about Cyn tbh. I like the trope of children being so traumatized and pushed by their environment that they choose to do things that are at an extreme.

I mean, look at two of my comfort characters being Varian TTS and Dolores White IDV;

Varian begging the ppl he trusts for help only to have lies spread about him, have nobody help him until he feels like he's at the point of no return so he goes to extreme measures to get what he wants (kidnapping and threatening the queen, basically taking over the Kingdom).

Dolores losing her parents, and its implied that the reason shes an amputee also is someone else hurting her, then desperately trying everything in her power to protect her little brother. Including taking his medication on top of her own bc she *knows* that the WSSA staff are testing drugs on them & they don't need the meds. Then her little brother dries in an absolutely brutal way whilst trying to check on her bc the staff were Terrible and irresponsible -- causing her to spiral and attempt to kill the entire asylum and then herself bc she had nothing left to live for and wanted to put an end to the horrors of WSSA. She was stopped after causing multiple casualties and we don't know yet what happened to her after.

[ Edit: lol another example I could think of in retrospect is Strawberry Crepe Cookie from CRK ehehe they actually might be more closer compared to cyn so I'll just add them here.

Crepe was in a cryo-baking-pod, which in my personal interpretation means they were frozen alive until they got out. So this is kinda my interpretation but shhh.

Crepe possibly was left behind when the Vanilla Kingdom fell, being left behind in the cryobaking pot whilst their family and everyone else left/died (it's been ages since I played CRK I barely remember vanilla Kingdom lore I'm sorry). When they woke back up they were angry about that and eventually ran into dark enchantress cookie who basically approved of the mayhem they were causing with their robots. She took them in as a cookie of darkness and but didn't really care about them at all as seen in the in game stories about Crepe. Crepe proceeded to start a full blown war just bc they were angry, bored and the only adult in their life enabled them causing chaos]

Cyn was disposed of, incorrectly at that which is why she even woke back up, was found and taken in by Tessa but got mistreated in her new home. We don't know what her life before the manor was or how she met Tessa, but I imagine it wasn't pretty. Then Tessas parents threatened to dispose of N (possibly V and J too) - at that point she already had the Solver and seemingly started experimenting with it - but it comes to show that she has no reason to trust humans. They threaten to dispose of her and the Drones she considers family simply bc they are slightly annoyed by them and Tessa. Bc they're slight inconveniences to them.

So yeah I feel she has every reason to mayve have made bad decisions by herself as well.

…Is it weird that I kinda want Cyn herself to be at least somewhat actively responsible for causing the planet destruction stuff regardless of the fact that I know she and the Solver are separate entities? Like- yeah, I do like some of the interpretations of Cyn being a kid manipulated by the Solver n stuff but like- honestly I’d really rather have Cyn be the driving force behind this equation, she has a lot of reason to be angry to the point of blowing shit up, and honestly it’s just way more interesting to me than just “the solver wants to destroy stuff bc Evil Eldritch Thing and Cyn’s just a victim with no canon personality bc what we’ve seen was the Solver possessing her”-

Florian's Background Made No Sense (Theory)

As I played Florian and finished his deductions, I fell in love with his story and his character. He was a survivor of a house fire that killed his parents, raised in a well-known orphanage, and developed a pyromaniac hero complex as a result of his experiences. I became invested and wanted to know how he ties into the rest of the story of the White Sand Street Orphanage, since his deductions state he was raised there. News flash- He doesn't fit in with the story. The number of years he stayed there, the lack of a fire brought up in relating characters' accounts of the location, and Florian's deductions having no information about the asylum itself, that the orphanage was turned into. I was wondering about his experience there, as we all know it's a staple location in Identity V's lore. I thought at first that the writers on IDV's dev team fucked up terribly. But after piecing together the full story of White Sand Street Orphanage, I have reason to believe he was never there at all.

The current story of the orphanage is known: White Sand Street Orphanage was founded by Kreacher where he homed Robbie and his sister. The church in the town had a lot of power and demanded that Kreacher sell them the orphanage, or he will be prosecuted. The time that Kreacher owned the orphanage lasted ten months before selling the property to Father Duke.

Under the ownership of the church, Father Duke and Emily (under the account of Baron) started drugging and experimenting on the children, including Emma, Robbie and his sister. However, Sister Lorraine, the assistant director, would have little to no idea about these actions. After transforming the orphanage into a mental hospital, they started admitting both adults and juveniles. We know some of these admissions to be Emma, Kurt, and Emil. Robbie's sister, Dolores, would cause a lot of trouble because she was very aware of the malevolence taking place. She and him were roomed separately, but Dolores would be caught throwing Robbie's medication out the window or even take his doses herself— this leading to her quick psychological degradation. Robbie would usually sneak into her room more often to see her, but one day she starts screaming. Dolores doesn't remember her little brother due to the effects of the drugs. She was dragged away, and Robbie went back to his room. After not seeing his sister for 3 days, he tries to sneak out of his room's window, leading to the window falling on him and decapitating and killing him.

At one point when Dolores is more sober, she realizes Robbie is dead and starts freaking the fuck out. She had to be thrown off of her brother's grave and dragged back inside several times. Dolores writes Robbie a letter telling him there's one last thing she has to do. She finds an axe and at night, she went to kill as many people as she could find— staff, nuns, and other children.

The local public would begin to question if the mental hospital should stay open. Sister Lorraine would take over as director as Father Duke moved up into a district position. Sister Lorraine had reevaluated the juvenile patients and deemed them sane to discharge. She left a resignation letter and disappeared. The rest of the patients there were transferred before the business shut down. There are so so so many more details about the White Sand Mental Hospital, but this is the summarized story from start to end!

This story takes place over the course of no more than 2 years. It was in Kreacher's possession when he founded it for ten months, then Robbie and Dolores remained very young children up to Robbie's death and Sister Lorraine leaving. Emily had tortured Lisa there before Lisa was likely discharged and grown into the identity of Emma Woods. The orphanage was only called an orphanage until the kids were reported to be sick and needed treatment. It was then known widely as White Sand Street Mental Hospital, or White Sand Street Asylum. I thought to myself, could Florian have burnt it down and then it was rebuilt later?

No. Florian was orphaned when he was 6 years old and presumably pulled his arsonist stunt sometime during teenhood. Within his time span, the orphanage would have been turned into an asylum and closed down not so long after. His deductions never report an asylum at White Sand Street nor any of the events that have been established before. None of the characters with relations to the location have never mentioned a fire or a rebuilding. Robbie and Dolores were homed there from the start to the finish of the business, and not once were they interrupted by a fire. So where was Florian raised?

I have to believe that Florian's White Sand Street Orphanage is a complete reopening with new administrators and staffing. During his time there, the grown-ups help Florian cope with the death of his parents. They tell him that they are still with him and still love him, and Florian found that his parent's love is in the fire. This brings him comfort and he is content with his past as he becomes the poster boy for the orphanage to gain funding. According to his written background story, he was proactive and diligent, and appointed to be the manager of the other children.

Additionally, I still do think the Baron may be in control or have influence of it. In Florian's background video, there is a shot of a nun adding something from a vial to a pitcher— presumably drugging water for the children.

Sister Lorraine and Emily are no longer associated here and that provides an opportunity for a fresh start. After the first location being so careless and unorganized, Baron and/or Father Duke may have been able to properly organize illicit experimenting without it getting obvious. The first White Sand Street Asylum story mentions a writer visiting before Dolores' incident happened— this is likely Orpheus. With the loose ties that Baron and Orpheus have narratively, it would be of interest for either to keep continuing these experiments. With the amount of drug usage that is in the manor games, it would make sense to have them tested here first.

Florian's story starts a new story for White Sand Street Orphanage. Sister Lorraine is gone, and other linked characters were already at the Manor much earlier. Emil's game at the Manor is the first test run, and by that time the original asylum should be long gone. The town must have needed an orphanage again and a new one has opened, just as the Baron or Orpheus needed more testing grounds for their drugs used in the games.

DOLORES WHITE, THE INVESTIGATOR - Technically she's not an OC she's mostly just my take on an in-game character.

- After the death of her brother, Robbie White, she wanted to know what happened to him after he go decapitated. - In my canon, what ended up happening is that Robbie's head fell into Dolores's room after he attempted to climb in. The rest of Robbie's body rolled off the roof area to the ground, where the rest of his body mysteriously disappeared. - After that, she was so full of rage and grief that she caused multiple altercations at the hospital such as destroying equipment, stealing drugs from other patients and disposing of them, and generally not cooperating with staff. A lot of the staff grew to heavily dislike her because of it. - She never was adopted from the orphanage and for the most part, was on her own. - She never forgave herself for Robbie's death and swore to figure out what happened to him. This is her drive to find Otelus Manor, but we will get to that. - Around 17 she got out of there on her own and with what her family saved for her and Robbie she was able to get her own home and start doing her search - Once the asylum closed down, she then she went back to do her investigative work there - She found a lead to Otelus eventually and that's what lead her to participate in the games, and to maybe, hopefully, get Robbie out. Failed and died in the games. - I don't know exactly how she died but I assume one of the other survivors murdered her in cold blood after figuring out too much about something. - I'm still working out her abilities but I would think she has something similar to Kurt or Lucky Guy.
