Hey Lucie! So clearly you love London and all things English. I am in London for the next three weeks and I'm feeling kind of...overwhelmed. HOWEVER I am hoping to get over that and really experience everything London has to offer. Any suggestions on activities or sightseeing to help me fall in love with London? Thanks!
Oh my gawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwd I’m so fucking jealous.  Okay, first of all, don’t go on the Eye.  I did it three times, because I kept thinking that maybe the next time it wouldn’t be as bad as the last.  I was wrong.  It’s boring and not fun.
My favorite places on the planet are St. Paul’s Cathedral & the round pond in Kensington Gardens.  Honestly, I would say just take a day, probably two, and explore Kensington Gardens.  See everything - the pond, the Albert Memorial, Peter Pan, the Diana fountain.  It’s a HUGE place but so beautiful.  St. Paul’s is like therapy for me.  I just go and sit there and kind of meditate.  I’m not a spiritual or religious person in any way, so I don’t know why I find it so comforting, I just do.
So that’s the touristy stuff.  While I think that there is definitely value in all of that (like getting off the Westminster tube station and walking up to the view of Parliament and Big Ben right in front of you), the most important thing I would say to do would be to just…hang out.  Go for a walk around where you’re staying, go into every pub and figure out with one is your favorite.  My personal fave was the one with the cute bartender who flirted with me ;)  Seriously, just walk around.  And don’t be afraid to do things alone!  I went to see Dirty Dancing in Piccadilly and then out to a club after that and it was SO much fun.  That would be my most important recommendation - do stuff that’s not super touristy, too.  (And seriously, find a cute bartender to flirt with.  There is a Hungarian at the Courtfield in Earl’s Court - 10/10 would recommend.)
Please keep me updated on your stay!!  I’M SERIOUSLY SO JELLY!
