The way the perfect world quest implies Sparrow doesn't remember their parents kinda fucks me up tbh.

Like it doesn't matter if you view it as a flashback, or a daydream thats comforting them as they die, theres the obvious void that is their parents place in their life.

They're gone before Sparrow wakes up in this perfect world, this world where everything should be right, yet still there's something missing. Sparrow doesn't remember them well enough to place them here, to pick a memory that includes them.

They're vague notions, once they had a mother and father, they know they loved them, they know Rose loved them, but they're nothing more than fuzzy images at the back of their mind.

Rose is the one they remember. Rose who is still a child herself is the closest they had to a parent.

Their perfect world is her teasing them for missing saying goodbye, and then them having a fun day with the sister they missed dearly.

But it makes one think...did Sparrow get to say goodbye before they lost their parents? Did they miss the chance thinking it no issue because they've never failed to return home before? Is it like with Hammer and they don't know they can't remember? Is this a lingering guilt, one they've pushed aside for so long in favor of their anger that has floated to the front?

Sparrows relationship to family is so coated with trauma and its got me crying.
