if that damn smoke alarm battery keeps beeping I'm going to turn violent
#hi guys fun fact about the house im renting#i do not have a smoke alarm lol#well. technically i do.#there is a port for it in the hallway ceiling#and there is a smoke detector sitting uninstalled on the fireplace mantle#i have lived here a year and it has not been installed lol#i just havent mentioned it to my landlord bc i have a tendency to burn things while cooking and i didnt want to deal with it#so the only smoke detector is the one in the basement#which is also being rented out#and starting this morning it has been CHIRPING#INCESSANTLY#idk if the guys down there are home or are gonna get new batteries or what#idek what the protocol is. do we ask our landlady to get the batteries? is that something we do ourselves?#idk. it's not my smoke detector and therefore not my problem but FUCK is the noise annoying
