sorry if im old man yelling at cloud about this but the recent crop of people asking for permission to take inspiration from stuff, whether it be art or photos or characters or any of that is like. so weird to me. part of the joy of art and especially participating in art communities is being able to freely take inspiration from whatever you see. the thought that you alone can "own" an idea and somehow no one is ever allowed to think that thought or use it in their own work is like. insane. hello.

because ive had to answer this question several times now: my blanket statement is and forever will be to get inspiration wherever. the idea that a concept can ever be owned is and will forever be corporationspeak. fuck that noise. steal.
