okay so, new tbhk episode...

Not perfect, but not terrible either! I was delighted to see how well-paced ep 5 turned out to be, actually

They padded out mokke of the dead really well, with something interesting that didn't completely detract from the original concept, and the color choice was unique and kind of fun, so they definitely get kudos for that

And they didn't miss any of the really important pieces of the mitsuba chapter, either, which is what I was worried about, and then them adding teru fucking shoving his damn sword into mitsuba's shoulder, wasn't expecting that but okay! works for me!

They did a really good job pacing this episode, something they've been clearly struggling with in the first four episodes of the season, and honestly, that was going to be a big indicator of how they'd actually handle the picture perfect arc starting next week

This episode has definitely given me some renewed hope that they're going to take this at a good pace and do a good job animating this next arc 🤞
