Yes ma’am 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 your response to that last post. I think we forget that humans are not built for the level of fame he has. I literally don’t think I could survive even a margin of that fame. So if he has to get off social media to protect himself, that’s good on him. And he’s explicitly spoken (as you referenced) to that fact.

It could be down to a skewed older fan base, but I never see this same type of reaction to the lack one social media interaction from Beyoncé and Adele fans. I’m sure it’s out there some, but I’ve never seen it. (I do know they face other criticisms simply for being women in the industry, etc) Like, we just understand these two powerful women have chosen to be more quiet on social media. And I think it’s time we allow that for other artists. If we pay for music and Harry (or any other artist) gives us that, plus videos, plus appearances on talk shows, etc he’s fulfilled his duty as an artist to his fans.

tbh i think why its different with harry is because of fanfiction. like im pretty sure there’s more fanfic about him than any other celebrity. most fanfic is written about already made up worlds/characters (like marvel, for ex.) and i think the fanfiction has made some people have a very unhealthy parasocial relationship with him where they think they know him and are entitled to his time and those people haven’t taken a step back and reevaluated that relationship. plus adding in stan culture as well just makes it worse. (thats just my opinion though i could be wrong) but yeah like there were celebrities before social media so idk why people are obsessed with him having a sm presence. he has done just fine without it and like you said, his job is literally to put on shows, give us merch, etc. like he’s an artist not a sm influencer. idk what people expect. like if you spend your money on him, you’re getting a concert or a hoodie or whatever. spending that money doesn’t also entitle you to an ig post or a tweet. some celebs do that because they want to, but fans shouldn’t automatically expect it, esp in this situation with harry. bc he did use to use it and he stopped bc of how ‘fans’ and media disrespected his boundaries and pushed their own narratives on him. and now all of a sudden people are forgetting that and getting mad about something they have no right to be mad about. not to mention, he’s literally never been mean to fans he’s met who have literally stalked him so i just?? i don’t understand. people have let social media delude them i guess idk.
