Heyyy Bestieeeee!!!

I’m loving By Your Side so farrrrr. Its just soo goood. The writing its just fab, the pacing perfect imo, and the description of y/n is so realistic and easily likeable - like we get to see her insecurities and flaws, what personally troubles her, as well as her hopes and dreams, the people she feels close (and their relationship feels credible!) etc…

Its just so well written that I can see myself in her on many occasions, and connect my emotions with her. Idk, maybe I’m rambling a bit.

Anyways, as I’m currently hooked on this story, and can’t get it out of my head (I created a Spotify playlist for this 💀) I just wanted to ask, if you have an exact date of when you’ll post chapter 5?

THANK YOUUUUUUU!!!!!! Oh my god. Holy shit. This. This made my month. I truly didn’t know how to respond so I kept on holding this off from immediately responding and freaking out/appreciating everything you wrote. Finally I got my thoughts together after two long weeks!

Literally that first paragraph made me flatline I swear. I’m so freaking glad cause I was hellbent on making y/n realistic as a person whilst also having them make choices or have characteristics that are reasonable enough for most people to be able to relate to or picture themselves in! So I’m incredibly glad you like her, flaws and hopes and dreams and all!

I literally have so, SO MUCH more that I want to mention or say to add to the above but I keep on deleting and rewriting anything else I try to add cause it makes a lot more sense in short DM’s instead of full on sentences lol.

Second paragraph knocked me outta my body and no you’re not rambling at all! I was worried that the reader’s perspective wasn’t realistic or relatable so hearing that you’re able to connect with them made me feel a lot more comfortable, thank you so much!

When I started this series, I wanted to have a Reader self-insert fic that was in a way, a possibility of what life could’ve been if we had the chance! I know I absolutely had that feeling where I always said to myself: “MAN. I wish I was born earlier.” Not that I don’t appreciate my life right now! I’m certainly incredibly lucky to have a life where I get to meet so many amazing people like you and have the chance to write like this!

AND FOR THE RELEASE DATE OF CHAPTER 5: Oh man, I thought I could get it done mid-late June but assignments man. Goddamn assignments handed to me without warning. I don’t have an exact release date for chapter 5 and I’m incredibly sorry about that. I know you’re looking forward to it and I am as well! Once I know for sure and I’m confident enough to say that I’m ready to post it (I suffer from the perfectionist and the ADHD curse I’m so sorry), I’ll let everyone know beforehand! I promise.

But once again, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! If I had another reason to keep going and keep pushing myself to keep the series going I know that you and everyone that’s waiting and supporting are many, many reasons. Northwest - I’m Your Dad And You’re My Dad - Two Knights — I wasn’t actually like listening 2 the song when i drew the image but i was thinking about it and i wanted to try and draw this image that came into my head when i imagined the strange mutual fatherhood dynamic…. it didnt work 2 good but i added a star because the band gives off a nice starry vibe sometimes with their midwest emo math rock style…. love it…… i didnt do so good with the drawing i didnt really make the pic in my head but its a nice image and i like it a lot. the songs kinda sad maybe

North - A Life of Possibilities - Dismemberment Plan — Starting at this song i actually was listening to the songs as i drew the images, or at least i started drawing while the song was on and sometimes id finish in the middle of like the next song that came on. this song is a cool math feel song like im pretty sure theyre a math rock band and u can definitely feel it. the picture itself is sort of an interpretation of th type of guy who it felt like was playing the song. the guitar is really heavy n cool cause like the dude is good at guitar and the guitar in the song was real cool, but then like, the guy has his eye in a goofy location cause his voice is a lil funny to me or at least whimsical and like the lyrics are not so serios? ?  idk thats not what i think th singer looks like thats just how it FELT like the singer would look.

Northeast - Needle In The Hay - Elliott Smith — This song’s stripped back feel and guitar tone and the chords themselves give me night time light vibes and the feeling elliot gave me in this song was like. i just imagine someone very small looking up with power at the moon. hope??? i dont know!! i also put a spotlight cause i just felt like there needed 2 be both there. buidlings cause were in the city

West - A Big Fan Of The Pigpen - Guided By Voices — This song sounded like something almost like id make or that id want to… something about the style just kinda…. made me feel like it was almost something i could make so i put a guy looking in the mirror but the singer sounded old timey so i dressed him up all oldtimey.

East - Pan - Ty Segall — This song is really lo-fi . i mean the last one was 2 but this one feels like. lo fi shit where the other one was lo fi because it existed in a previous time period hehe. no uh this song is slow and indie rock alt rock type music. and a lil noisey. it felt like how some of adult swim feels 2 me sometimes when i just kinda throw it on in my room. so i tried 2 put u in my place where i lay down in my bed and thats what my room looks like and adult swim is on sometimes. i love the part at the about 2:48 mark of the song (more like the -1:00 mark). the end honestly sounds like uhhh the solo from that steven unvierse song with greg… which i watched laying there 2 now that i think about it…. that was ar eally good gtuiar solo… good job greg…. good jog
