Aw man, this is a fun one! I've been writing stupid stuff for my sims to say for so long it's hard to think of a top 5, but definitely have some funny moments I'd like to reminice on :)

This line from Emmie is iconic to me and kind of sums up both the good and bad in her character! She's enthusiastic, chirpy and always ready to jump into stuff but can be kinda selfish/thoughtless with like, poor boundaries lmao. It also always makes me giggle adding "Bleh!!" to the end of her lines idk

Bella: Cassandra! Oh my, are you all right? Cassandra: I’m fine, Mom. Bella: You’re having a mental breakdown on our back porch!

idk this is just funny to me bc Bella is half concerned for Cassandra and half worried that Cassie is bringing down the vibe at her fabulous dinner party lol

Camellia: I keep thinking I’ve forgotten something!  Lori: Cami, I feel like that almost all the time. Nine out of ten times it’s nothing important!

Ashley & Lilith's unhealthy-ass relationship banter is always so fun to write, I really miss them! I really like having sims actually mention, like, game mechanics? Lilith saying "I achieved lifetime happiness this week" just tickles me. tbh i also think "it's called having a growth mindset" is really funny, really fits ashley's self-improvement-reddit-guy vibe

Re: wisdom teeth removal! I got all four taken out about a month ago. Because I didn't know what to expect since no one I knew had them out recently, here's what my experience was like! Hope this is helpful! Search "face ice pack" on Amazon and get one. I also got a few extra ice packs so I could switch them out as needed. That thing was a life saver and kept my swelling fully down. I wore it on and off basically whenever I was awake. I lived on protein shakes, squeezy applesauce packets and oatmeal for a while (but oh god please heed the tags on that post don't fully be like me) until I felt like I could move on to things like mac and cheese/ other noodles. Pudding, ice cream and mashed potatoes were also in the rotation for that first week or so. I was also fully sedated for my procedure. 10/10 recommend even though I didn't get any of the fun anesthesia side effects... it actually made me sick right after I woke up but I was fine after that. Still would recommend because the last thing I remember before the procedure was saying "I don't feel anything yet" and then I was waking up. The painkillers they gave me for after also made me sick so I ended up just taking the extra strength ibuprofen they gave me. My jaw hurt for like 10 days after the surgery and that's pretty normal. You DO need to be careful about dry socket but if you follow the rules they give you when they send you home you should be good. The weirdest thing about that was that my front teeth would hurt, too. I got some Orajel and that helped with the other miscellaneous tooth pain I was having.

IDK if this is unpopular or not but I don't blame celebrities for getting rid of fans gifts either by selling, re-gifting, or throwing away (even though this one is less ideal. Not just because of it potentially hurting the gifter's feeling but mostly because of the waste).

To use idols as an example, I've seen some of the crazy ass gifts that fan clubs give to them. There was one fanclub who posted their gifts for either iKon's anniversary or one of the member's birthdays a few years back. It was a HUGE pile of stuff. Almost all of it was in designer boxes and bags. This had to be TENS of THOUSANDS of dollars worth of stuff and that was ONE fanclub picture doing this for just ONE anniversary or birthday. So multiple fanclubs probably do this, possibly "single" fans give more than one gift as well, AND this probably happens EVERY ANNIVERSARY or birthday (probably BOTH). I'm gonna suspect they get the same item more than once too. Some khh artists, Gray stands out in my mind, get gifted a lot from fanclubs on anniversaries/anniversaries too. (His aren't as extravagant as iKon's were from what I've seen. It's usually cakes, food, balloons, and things that naturally aren't supposed to last more than a week but it's still PILES worth of stuff)

So to me it makes sense to get rid of them in some way because:

They may not have the room for it. Idols mostly live in dorms together (some khh artists have "one-rooms", or studio apartments as well call them in the US, or even maybe a 1 bedroom apartment but it's still small) and many even share rooms so how will they fit all of that stuff?

Some of these idols and rappers are receiving gifts that they may not even be able to afford yet. So if you're getting multiples of expensive stuff, it only makes sense to sell some things to put some money in your pocket.

Some of the clothes may not fit the person receiving the gift.

I know people want their idols, favorite rappers, or other celebrities to keep the gifts and use them (even when it's someone in your personal life who you gift something to this applies) but really it makes sense why they can't keep everything. But I understand why people may get their feelings hurt regardless. I think I would be hurt too tbh. However, I also think it's important not to over-gift these celebrities cause it's just really not smart. The people who do this extreme type of gift giving are likely trying to buy the person's love which isn't gonna happen.

Side note: but I was told Gwangil comes from a well off family anyway. So people really shouldn't be over-gifting him LOL but iKon too. They were MONSTER rookies + Bobby had won close to 100,000 USD pre-debut (SMTM3 win). They never struggled like that to where fans should feel the need to be financially supporting them that heavy. Note that the fanclub picture was from a few years into iKon's career too so they definitely weren't struggling at this point. It'd be (a bit) different if these were people from poor families or small companies where the group won't make any money for YEARS.

Side note 2: just imagine how many people are giving them ACTUAL money too? There's no reason why they can't just slip cash inside those boxes, bags, and envelopes with the receiver's name on it. I'm sure many are. If you're willing to buy designer items that already costs hundreds or thousands then I'm sure the idea of just putting actual hundreds or thousands in the bags hasn't evaded them.

okokok. i am not entirely sure i have ever seen you talk about this and how dividing the books all are is fascinating to me so... what's the opinion on the novel trilogy, or even frights/tales if you're willing to touch that w/ a ten foot pole --scrappedbaby

I feel like this is a pretty controversial take but I think the Silver Eyes itself is… fine. Okay, I tried to actually read it once and I couldn't get more than a couple pages in, because it read like when someone posts their homework assignment that was secretly fanfiction on fanfiction dot net. I have a little bit of a soft spot for the graphic novel, actually, due to it being bad in an interesting way rather than blandly decent like the other 2, which I've only flipped through. (Also the shitty saturated coloring fucked over the inks. Setting aside any opinions of the artist as a person, i think her style has character and added something to the series that is still present in other parts I like much better, like the glamrock concepts. And the muted test pages that someone scrounged up from a trade show copy or whatever would have probably done wonders for the atmosphere.)

As for the story of TSE itself… Idk, I think it's kind of funny that it's Stephen King's IT for fourth graders. Also, because it's aimed at that demographic, they had to conjure a young protagonist from somewhere, and I think the concept is pretty solid, and Charlie's a good character, and I'm also fond of what a little freak Dave-era William is. That's really my favorite concept of the villain motivation in the series, actually: creating this twisted little dollhouse to go sit in and pretend to be a robot. The immortality/mad science/lich/trancendance from the flesh thing is… it's fine. I made my peace with it. But it's a little too Herbert West for my tastes. (Also like… this is why I like Glitchtrap. He's kind of doing the same thing, making is little diorama and reliving his glory days.) All in all, for what it is, a solid 7/10, imo.

As for the rest of the trilogy……. ah, it's not for me. Like I said, I've flipped through the graphic novels a bit, and own them secondhand as curiosity pieces/weird little relics, but it seems like it gets up its own ass to cater to people who like lore (a separate but related demographic as people who like the horror part of the games, in my 100% honest opinion). I hear about the illusion disks and I am austin walker's iconic "do you ever see a take so bad you immediately have to go to sleep?' tweet.

As for Fazbear Frights: I'm not gonna lie, i think it's pretty good. I feel so fondly about the ghostwritten chapterbooks of my youth (I was a Babysitter's Club and Animorphs girlie, and weirdly… not an inaccurate cross-section for Fazbear's Frights), and I think it's perfectly fine to play around in the universe and create a bunch of AUs and related concepts. Is there criticism to be had of the stories themselves? SURE. They're very weak on diversity, QUITE fatphobic at times, and some of them are unnecessarily ghoulish, though there's only so much disgust I can muster for undeserved child death in the child death series… NONE of them deserve it, even the ones that are mean to their siblings or too vain or whatever, and the fact that it's equally likely for any given story to end in brutal death or "wow I really learned my lesson!" is actually pretty fun. Reminds me of Goosebumps a bit (though I was never a huge fan. Too easily creeped. That was my brother's preferred ghostwritten series though, so I sampled here and there. I also somehow had my hands on a novelization of one of the Tales from the Crypt movies too, and that made a big impression).

I don't love that FF takes every fan theory and milks it, and I'm sure the process for actual production has some ethical problems based on everything I know about the industry. But I do firmly believe that a little body horror is good for the youths, and just making it a multiverse rather than sticking to any one canonical thread lets you have your animatronic rabbit and wear it too, as it were. I also kind of like the lower middle class vibe that the series has… There's very frequently a sense of economic desperation and cheap escapism that resonates so well with the games, and reminds me of how going to Chuck E Cheese truly was the marquee birthday activity of my youth (though I liked the arcade more than the animatronics as a wee millenial).

Part of my fondness for FF is just that I had 2 months during late quarantine where I would buy a copy of the next one I hadn't read while I was doing my weekly grocery/target run and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE OUTSIDE OF MY HOME, and I would read these very unchallenging short stories and be like "I liked that one! …I did NOT care for that one" and it was a little pumpkin full of meat to chew on in my cage. I stopped it pretty abruptly when the proof of Scott's Republican political donations came out (I mostly do not buy any new fnaf items now, though I have ended up doing it here and there, and I mostly class it on the scale of like, buying Overwatch microtransactions even though activision blizzard is a shitty abusive company or smth. Not a moral good, but not on a "funding a person actively involved in politically crushing trans people" level of problematic).

As for the stories themselves, I liked Into The Pit (it really reads like a reused movie script, but in a good way), Count The Ways (a friend of mine, iirc, did NOT like the two non-title stories in vol 1, but I have a soft spot for Funtime Freddy's villain era in that one, and Millie's safe and self-inflicted teenage self pity reads as an affectionate self-callout to me), Out of Stock (this one's just so CLASSIC kiddie horror and also a really good use of an otherwise forgettable part of canon), Room for One More (another good use of forgettable parts of canon, i think the series really shines when it clicks into stuff like that), Coming Home (the jewel of the series, and gets me in the Sixth Sense nostalgia too), Bunny Call (mostly forgettable obvious moral lesson story with a surprising twist of poignency in the middle and an iconic antagonist), The Man in Room 1280 (I wish this was better utilized in the game series, it feels like Security Breach juked around this concept for a much worse and dumber version, and also Andrew is my special little bastard child), and The Real Jake (a sweet, if maybe a bit maudlin, exporation of the deeper concepts in the lore that is solidly a cut above the average FF story, and i like the stitchwraith parts of the books too).

There's none that I have a huge hate-on for, though I thought 1:35 am in particular was VERY bad (I skimmed the last half). While it's notorious, to me, In The Flesh is just dorky, particularly fatphobic and I don't know how everyone is getting MatPat from it. Mat's persona is kind of smug, but not cruel and hateful towards women or a shitty friend (if anything, his peers speak SO warmly of him that makes me give him more credit than he deserves as a cc), and you'd think a real hit piece on him would involve... a theory. A G A M E theory. Okay, I did it the legally required time.

I stopped at Book #6 and i'm not sure if i'll ever go back. I just got a library card so maybe I'll get around to it the next time i'm sucked into the franchise, but for the most part, I'm dormant except for things I really adore about the series (Springtrap, the Funtimes, Afton Family Drama in general, nostalgia for the first few games, etc), so I can't muster up too many more opinions on middle reader books as a 34-year-old. Tales has no appeal to me even as a future "maybe if the fixation hits hard" option, because a bunch of satellite stories around a setting that couldn't muster a third act in the tentpole game is just. Sad.

Rat update! I only talked about them, but never showed you guys my new rat boys. They are almost impossible to photograph because it takes like ten years for my camera to focus, and obviously they don't really want to pose, so most of the photos came out like this ↑

I'm putting under the cut the best of the worst pictures of them and boring stories about each rat, the post is gonna be long because there are five of them.

I often warn you about long posts, but this post is really long, I'm not joking

Two older brothers: Tsap and Plyamka (or Pliyamka, idk, either way google doesn't pronounce it correctly). Yes, all of these rats except one have the stupidest names ever, because reasons.

Tsap (Цап)

Tsap is the one with a white stripe on his face. He got his name because for the first couple of days he didn't understood the concept of human hands. Like, at all. He would lightly bite hands because he thought it could be food, and each time he was surprised that it wasn't. I'm afraid that these boys weren't handled at all before we got them. So much for the "professional breeder" and "all our babies are tamed and used to handling", ugh. In the past we already had a boy named Кусь, which means "bite", so this name was taken. But tsap/цап means to snatch or scratch something, so that works too. (in Ukrainian it also means male goat, but this meaning wasn't intended)

Now Tsap is very affectionate little man. He was afraid of being picked up before (more than other boys), but now he climbs on my hands as soon as I open the cage. He is also the slowest of them all (he's phlegmatic for sure), making it easier to photograph.

Plyamka (Плямка)

Плямка means "little spot" in Ukrainian. It was supposed to be just a temporary name until we came up with something better, but, alas, we did not. I often shorten Plyamka to just Plyam, which means "mlem", and also fits him very well.

He was the least shy from the start. He started licking my hands the day after we met. Plyamka considers himself the leader of his little pack. And even though he's still mostly terrified of my older boys, Izium and Bergamot, he still sometimes tries to protect other babies from them. (which is adorable but also breaks my heart because I want them all to be happy, not afraid)

Baton is the only one of the five who doesn't have a sibling.

I never was a big fan of Burmese rats, but my husband liked him so we got him along with others. But when they arrived, it was love at first sight.

He's Baton because Батон is the name of my favorite chocolate bar.

He is the most timid and shy of all the boys. I always feel so sorry for him, literally everything scares him. But I'm his "safe place", when they free roam on the couch he takes food from a bowl and comes to me to eat it, crawling under my clothes or on my lap, poor thing. I love him so much. And he has the funniest little face, his nose is so tiny and ears are so big, his eyes seem to be closer together than in other rats. His fur is oddly soft. At first I thought it was because he didn't yet shed into adult coat, but now I see it's not the case.

Krobus and Cactus - two youngest brothers.

The black one is Krobus, the Siamese (white) - Cactus.

Krobus is the only one who get to have a "normal" name. He's a ball of chaotic energy, which is why I don't have any good photos of him. He is the most playful and mischievous boy, nothing upsets him for longer than 5 seconds. And I think that when he grows up, he will take the leadership away from Plyamka. He's very confident and pushy.

Cactus is a very special boy. First of all, he's VERY vocal. Like, he often squeaks when things doesn't go his way, which, despite the movies, is not a typical rat behavior. He does this with other rats but also with me. He's extremely tame and affectionate, he loves scratches more than anything, always tries to climb on my hands or shoulders, sits very still and bruxes (rat version of purr) in my hands when I pet him. But when he wants me to let him go, he can sometimes squeak to let me know. I was afraid that he was in some kind of pain, but no, it's just his way of communication. I've kept rats my whole life, but he is the first one to behave like this.

You can see that somewhere along the way, someone took a good bite out of his left ear. It happens. It's actually a very sad situation with Cactus. At first he loved my older boys, especially Bergamot, he wanted to sleep and cuddle with him, followed him everywhere. But Bergamot seems to hate him :( It took Bergamot a couple of weeks and a few really violent attacks to push Cactus away. But now Cactus finally learned his lesson, he is terrified of Bergamot.

All boys have been living together for a few weeks now. Things are much more peaceful, but we're not quite there yet. They don't fight at all on a couch or in a small cage, but in larger cage things are not so good. Bergamot no longer bites anyone to the point of bleeding, but he is still an asshole :(

yet in multiple situations where he's doubted himself before, theres always a line he will never cross.

From chapter 49. It's the only one I can find that implies 24 seriously injured. It doesn't say it outright, but, I'll take it (4 x 7 = 28, which isn't 24 but it's near as damnit. Or maybe it's actually 28? But Stain's wiki says 24... idk lol I'm bad at math but I can't find any other panel that actually references those who were seriously injured so...)

This is very interesting actually! In the linked post, I was thinking it was 40 in the past too, but thanks to this, it looks like his only count was 17 murders, 24 seriously injured

Which actually... amazes me more. I kept saying about how, with him being a famous killer, and the name Hero Killer, you would think he'd killed hundreds or millions!

40 already seemed like a low-ish number, but 17? It's amazing that, for an independent famous murderer, his kill count is lower than you'd think it would be!

I mean, for me, it definitely seems low. Again, with the whole "famed murderer" storyline, how old he is (31) and his alias alone, I would have thought higher

There's a lot to take into account with those murders though. Based on before he went to prison, with the 17 murders, it suggests that Stain was picky with who he killed?

Maybe, when he just started out, he would give Heroes who begged for mercy a chance to redeem themselves? Or maybe it was just harder to trap Heroes on account of their quirks? The latter actually seems more likely. I mean, Stain has his blood quirk, but he's basically human too. No heteromorph qualities that could help his agility more than normal, no speed or agility quirk, no strength quirk either. If the majority of those he tracked down had those kinds of quirks, then it would have probably made it harder for him to trap and kill

Kind of similar to Aizawa in the USJ battle (or in general). He erased quirks with his sight but he still had tricks up his sleeve, which was likely the case with Stain but there were definitely Heroes who slipped out of his grip

There's also the fact that Stain started to train in the art of killing from his late teens

So, it really varies but, ages 16 17 18 or 19 he could have been doing his soapbox speeches. Then "in the ten years that followed" of training, that brings us to ages 26, 27, 28 or 29

We don't know exactly how he trained. Could he have just been practicing with his blades with a dummy target? Or could he have at least killed a few people in order to sharpen his skills and train? Idk, but if he actually did kill people, I don't think it would have added to his kill count

Stain is 31 years old. When he finally went full Hero Killer (again it varies in age), he was in his late 20's. That gives us a 2-to-5 year gap between when he started out and before he went to prison

2-to-5 year gap for 17 murders. With the 24 seriously injured Heroes, I would say Stain simply didn't have enough skills to catch up with and/or trap all of the Fake Heroes

I guess maybe this shocks me because, in most media, you hear of a famous killer and their total count is something in the 60's, or in the hundreds. Sometimes even millions. Yet the killer in this series had a total of 17 kills

This also shows that Stain is actually a pretty recent Villain! For how long the system has been in place and how long he's been alive, he's very much famous for having that many kills in under 5 years and not being captured yet! Very interesting!

So, fast forward to now with the "40 murders" comment, I think you're totally right that Stain started to catch up with his work. Stain got out of prison, ready to catch up with the world, to find the media naming every retired fake Hero. Without meaning to, they served up targets to him on a silver platter! So he went to killing

17 murders before prison, which means he killed 23 Heroes after he got out to get a total of 40

I think he would see them retiring as being fake Heroes and not sticking it out to the end, regardless of the reason (I know we've focused a lot on Heroes who were only in it for the fame, but wouldn't there also be Heroes who are simply too traumatized to continue? I mean idk I know the majority are fake but, come on, there's gotta be at least one or two Heroes out there who would gladly help everyone but are just too traumatized to act...)

Though, personally, I hope he didn't kill Death Arms😔 I actually liked him

Okay I know I'm spam posting again today (legitimately, when am I not) but I want to like, give some kind of story and shit to the PPAA characters that I DON'T use. So basically, all of the Smokejumpers, Dipper, Patch who everyone seems to forget, and [fucking] Cabbie. Technically I have given Maru a backstory so I don't really need to do his as badly as the others.

I actually have had a vague story idea for Cabbie and the Children, but unfortunately, the story is loose-ended right now and missing a few key things to really make it appealing for me to write. I'm probably going to have to cut it into one-shots that string together because while it explains how they all ended up on Piston Peak, it also goes into their backstories and how a lot of then knew each other for reasons long before Piston Peak. If and when I get the energy to make it it'll likely be full of poor life choices, alcohol, bar fights (just guess who that is) and a group of kiddos trying to make it through a hard-knock life together.

Dipper I'm still trying to get some stuff going on. In an old headcanons chapter I explained why and how she ended up at the park, and how her and Blade are in terms of friendship. I'm hoping to go back to that and delve a little deeper into it storywise because I have some really close to home ideas for Dipper...

Patch is just like. The other one. Idk. I've seen folks depict Patch pretty young though, and I'm thinking the contrary. She's gotta be at least mid 40s or more. I think she's themed pretty oldschool as well, very classy gal, so I need to build up something around that idea. Not sure what yet but I'm kinda throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks.

And speaking of which, that's actually how I'm trying to do Cabbie's story too. I mentioned the Smokejumpers thing and he is in it, but I don't want him to be the focus, that really is just a Smokejumpers story. Cabbie needs his own damn thing, and thats gonna be...well okay, that's hard for several reasons right now, the biggest thing being I have to build a backstory without risking my mental health (thank you triggers, yaaaay). But also, I know fuck all about military anything. Theres a reason I avoid him, Skipper, Sparky, Bravo and Echo, and like any other military character ever. Like fuck man, I don't know this shit, I really don't care that much for the most part. My plan if and when I do anything for him is literally just to cleanly avoid the military parts unless absolutely necessary. I am not subjecting myself to nitpicking from the avgeeks, love y'all but I ain't touching that with a ten-foot pole. For Cabbie I literally just need to do a family backstory and how he lost his hand. That's it. That's my list. If I can do those two things we will be golden.

Otherwise I could maybe do Cad but again, o don't really care, and honestly he really doesn't need it? I have no plan to use him at all, not even in background, so like. He's just fine as the asshole he is. Ol Jammer and the Secretary of the Interior are the same, as are the other Lodge Dudes. I just have no desire to even use them.

13: favorite writing song/artist/album of this year

Well if you listen to my Spotify Wrapped, it's Cocteau Twins' album Garlands, specifically "Shallow Than Halo." I apparently drilled that song into my head a whopping 129 times while I was writing a particular, erm... scene. In LTL. It also slaps so I'm not mad about it lol. If we're talking about what has most inspired my work, Pearl Jam's Ten has been THE work. literally spawned the entire series. But if we're talking about which album decided to just yank my heart out and stomp on it and say THIS IS THE MOOD YOU'RE WRITING IN NOW PEASANT then that honor goes to Ruin by The Amazing Devil, which has only been out for a month. Specifically the song "The Old Witch Sleep and the Good Man Grace." It came out while I was writing Chapter 16 of LTL and how very dare they. Seriously though I recommend it.

14: a fic you didn't expect to write

That honor goes SOLELY to three knocks upon the door. I... kicked open the door on a whole new ship and genre for myself and I legitimately feel like I knocked that one out of the park. If you had asked me at the beginning of the year if I was going to write something like that I'd have been like "hmm, intriguing idea, but no." And yet here we bloody well are lmao.

18: (because I will answer this) current number of WIPs

A non-extreme number! At present, I have Louder Than Love which is my main fic, and I could sort of wrap the sequels/prequel up into that bubble as well. But it's part of what I am aiming to make into a tetralogy. We'll see how it pans out! As far as things I'm actively writing now, I've got my academic war AU, Applied Theory, which I'm working on another chapter for. I've got a deaged Remus fic that I've been poking at when I can spare braincells (the working title for which is put that thing back where it came from or so help me) and then I just signed up for a prompt from the Remus Lupin Fest which is I think going to nest in very nicely with LTL and be a fun(?) companion piece, or alternate-reality version or something. Idk, most everything I write takes place in that universe lol. So yeah, just those 4, and one of them isn't even properly started. :P

6: Least Popular Fic This Year

So, I am going to immediately disqualify anything in my Out of Orbit series, since that's effectively my trash bin -- please don't perceive them. Otherwise, I am unsure how to parse this exactly, BUT I can say that probably my least popular fics seem to be the drabble sets, with very few exceptions. But the saddest one is Song of the Shepherd's Dog - grand total of 13 kudos since I finished posting it on 2/19. :deadinside: It's 5 horror drabbles about Remus Lupin, pretty much all surrounding his Lycanthropy in one way or another. There's some Dean and Peter POV in there too. It was a cool writing exercise.

Satellites (series) and Lost Dogs also haven't gotten as much play as I'd have liked to have seen -- especially Lost Dogs, which has barely seen any movement since I posted it a year ago. It won the competition, and then no one touched it again (which is where I feel three knocks upon the door is headed, sadly.)

HEAD CANON TIME SLUTS!!!

Fortunately/Unfortunately for you at some point around 14 years old I emptied my mind of everything but Bebop. Bebop, and breathing.

[Will have spoilers] So some basic headcanons are gonna be really redundant if you’ve read any tags or answers on my shit hole blog but here we gooo:

1. Spike and Faye love the fuck out of each other. No I will not be taking questions.

2. Spike lost a lot of enthusiasm for Julia around the end of episode 13, Jupiter Jazz. At the end of the show, he didn’t go off to save Julia or run away with her. In fact, you’ll notice he’s not particularly happy to see her (ok granted, he’s shite at expressing emotions) and he doesn’t insist on getting the hell out of Dodge together before shit hits the fan. Rather, he’s there to end Vicious and the Red Dragons because Spike knows as long as Vicious is around he will hunt Spike, and he’s not beyond using Jet, Faye, and Ed to that end. Which leads to my next one ...

3. OKAY HERE’S A CONTROVERSIAL ONE - He “died” for FAYE and Jet and Ed and it’s definitely self gratifying SpikexFaye Bullshit ~ in Real Folk Blues when Spike (for the first time probably) gives Jet a look inside his fEeLiNgS we get the story about the Tiger Striped cat and this whole gem:

WHERE, PRAY, IS THE HEAD CANON YOU ASK???? HE IS TALKING ABOUT FAYE MOTHERFUCKERS. It’s about manic pixie dream girl amnesic asian sexy grandma gun play herself. Faye Fucking Valentine. Lady Luck, Poker Alice, Romani. He talks about how he finally met someone who really made him feel alive. (Also he saw that video of her as a child and I think it really touched him. He only sees that bright eyed hopeful child when he sees her now).

But I mean - “someone who was truly alive”???? Literally our exposure to Julia she’s pretty bland. (Dangerously Ordinary). Spike liked her because she was kind to him in a cruel world. But I think when he met Faye he REALLY met someone with vim and vigor and “a woman with an attitude”. THAT is why he’s going there to die. To protect her. (and to protect the little girl on the Betamax)

OH? And immediately after he finished his speech, he says, “She’s back.” and we as the audience and even Jet (it seems) think he ‘wait what Julia is back? okay yeah we know that.’ but then IMMEDIATELY Faye walks in. The SHE is fucking FAYE.

Oh but I ain’t done w this one, baby.

In Ep 15 - My Funny Valentine, Spike meets Faye outsidde at the jail at the end after she collects the bounty of Matsumoto. The following ensues:

FAYE: “Look who’s here. You must really want me back.”

SPIKE: “Yeah. Nice Try.”

FAYE: “You were jealous.”

SPIKE: "In your dreams.”

FAYE: “I'm still in the dark. I may never know anything about my past.”

SPIKE: “Doesn’t really matter, does it?”

FAYE: "Easy for you to say. At least you have a past.”

SPIKE: "And you have a future. That’s what counts.”

OK  there is a lot to unpack here~

- They’re shamelessly flirting. Like the sexual tension is thick enough to cut with a knife. See Heacanon # 1 for further information.

- Spike SUDDENLY doesn’t care about the “Past” anymore? (Note this is two episodes post Jupiter Jazz). Hmm ... like ... idk man seems like you don’t care so much about Julia anymore ...

- He knows Faye has a future; i.e. he can’t take that from her (or Jet or Ed) and therefore he has to end Vicious.

WHEW OK NEXT ONE

4. Spike’s PaAaAsT

My head canon on this is he grew up an orphan in and out of  the foster care system on Mars (we know he was born there) in the streets of the city of Tharsis. From what we know, Spike is about 27 in the show. In Episode 1 - Asteroid Blues, he mentions he’s has the Swordfish II for ten years, meaning he got it when he was 17. Where did he get it though? Especially at 17? Doohan, of course. So at some point as a teenager he went to Earth and was taken in by Doohan as an apprentice, not unlike Miles. My seriously specific headcanon here is that Doohan probably met him in Tharsis hot wiring a car or some shit and also noticed he was a hoodlum bound for trouble. He took him in to give Spike the chance to make something of his life. I think he spent years 14-19 or so of his life there.

After leaving life on Earth he meets Vicious/Lin/Shin/Mao/Annie and, given his moral apathy and hardened street fighting skills, joins the Red Dragons as a hit man and quickly ascends through the ranks. *This conflicts with a less thought out headcanon I have that Annie played a motherly role in his life as a late adolescent*.

I’m not the first to propose this one either, but I’m thinking his affair with Julia began around the time Vicious was in the war on Titan.

5. Vicious is a Toxic Bisexual.

There’s a big chance I’m projecting my actual personality onto this man. I also have zero textual evidence for this one. My head canon here is that Vicious is very gay for Spike but is also fed a diet of Street Tough Toxic Masculinity and can’t express it, and also knows Spike doesn’t feel the same. Yep, he’s sexually frustrated over Spike. Oh god I am definitely projecting.

I think Spike’s betrayal in him sleeping with Julia is such a double edged sword - Spike took his woman AND Spike clearly wants the puss puss not the D.

Sub canon A: Vicious was also attracted to Gren and he felt really weird about it and that’s why he oscillated between being an outrageous asshole to him and also sorta nice

Sub canon B: Entirely unrelated but on the subject of bisexuality ~ Faye definitely was a little turned on by Julia. Listen to how Faye describes her to Jet I mean COME ON.

I never played volleyball professionally but I would like to. The adrenaline when I play with some friends is indescribable! To my personality, well I am really "direct", if something doesn't add up in my mind I would not hesitate to tell my opinion. I am a really good listener and give amazing advices, in my 20 years I've been through a lot, my mind is like a 70 year old person's. Due some traumatic experiences, I've developed depression and its best friend anxiety. Even though I have the feeling that I have no friends -which I have but, I don't know how to explain, it's more like you try to keep the friendship up, ya know?- I have depression and anxiety right next to me as my friends, they come and go to check up on me can't deny their effort for that. You in turn, give him a portrait you drew over the course of a while to him as a part of a birthday gift, and he brings it wherever his job takes him, pressed neatly in a clipboard or notebook, he sometimes brushes his fingers over the lines drawn by you as if it was strands of your hair

Imagine this real quick: medicine??? Being an athletic trainer??? those studies are kind of similar, so y’all would meet in class hypothetically in the weird idea bank that is my head

Iwa is a complete sucker for interesting features in someone, green eyes? He will melt, and thinks about your eyes and how they light up when you smile, when you look at him he genuinely loses his train of thought and starts to lose his cool and stutter a little bit, oikawa teases him a lot about it, you two are close and 

it’s a match made in hell when you two go party together, and you guys have to get Iwa to come pick you guys up (i feel like every writer on here has made a post about this very scenario, its just canon at this point)

When you had your football games, (idk what position you play but i hope you mean the soccer kind of football bc thats what i’m imagining) he’s always at the edge of his seat on the side of the field, if you score a goal/block a goal he stands up and he’s cheering for you, or even better, when you look at him, he has the most supportive look In his eyes, and smiles at you, and shit, the other team knows they can’t stand a chance now. 

When you’re doing MMA, he finds that SO HOT PLS- 

Forbid if you ever get hurt while doing sports, he will run to your sides where he is watching you and make sure everything is okay, because he can’t have someone else go through that, not on his watch ouch lmao sorry

you two often play sports together in the park or something, maybe a morning run or two to keep yourselves active during the pandemic (can you tell i’ve barely ever even thought about athletics i’m so sorry) 

You guys definitely have one of those friend groups where you do shit like climb a mountain or do a bootcamp for fun and post it on social media

Aoyama

despite having that brief moment in chapter 167 where virtually everyone thought he was a serial killer, Aoyama is actually a good boy. a bit stalkerish, maybe.

Mina

Mina did dream up that one attack where Ochako floats her up in the air so that she can rain acid down on people, which is slightly homicidal. but she’s not a killer. honestly if she was we’d all be dead already. see: thicc Girl Noumu.

Tsuyu

if Tsuyu had ever killed someone she would have already told everyone all about it because she is open about these things so safe to say she is not a killer.

Ochako

all Ochako wants to do is help and support people. she can be pretty hardcore from time to time but my baby girl would never. not to say that villain wouldn’t be a good look on her. I still get a shiver up my spine remembering that one time Toga turned into her and demonstrated exactly how deadly her quirk could be.

Ojiro

nah. the worst thing Ojiro has ever done was throwing his empty plain yogurt cup into the wrong recycling bin by accident, and he felt terrible about it afterward.

Kaminari

real talk, Kaminari could very easily kill a ton of people with his quirk if he actually tried. but he hasn’t, because he is only two and is too busy learning his shapes and colors and leaving his lego duplo blocks all over the carpet for other people to trip on.

Kirishima

do I even have to justify this at all. duh Kirishima doesn’t murder people sorry to anyone who came into this post all excited to read a big paragraph going off about Kiri’s raw bloodlust. I don’t know what you expected.

Kouda

Kouda is probably deadlier than everyone thinks. imagine him commanding, say, a mob of giant hornets to swarm and kill someone. it’s a good thing he wouldn’t actually hurt a fly.

Satou

I sat here for a while thinking about what I could say about Satou. but just. can you picture him killing a guy? nah, me neither.

Shouji

one of the things I like about Shouji is that he looks older than he is, and kind of creepy, what with the masked face and the freaky tentacle arms and all the like. and so he very likely experienced some of that good old fashioned quirk racism growing up, and people were afraid of him and/or thought he would become a villain. but instead he decided to become a hero. and I think that says so much about Shouji’s character. it reminds me a lot of Shinsou; his desire to become a hero was so strong that he overcame prejudice and circumstances which could just have easily have led to him becoming a villain (and in fact, it’s not all that different from some of the actual villain backstories). anyway so yeah no murder for him.

Jirou

I think she would consider killing anyone who ever hurt Momo or Kami, but aside from that NO because she is a good pure girl who loves music and rocking out and putting smiles on people’s faces.

Sero

poor Sero is so not-murdery that when he does get pitted against someone with more murdery energy such as Todoroki, he basically gets immediately overwhelmed and everyone is just kind of wincing and then timidly applauding him and saying “good try.” that’s Sero’s life. he would just sit there and get murdered rather than going in for the kill. he’s a good bro.

Mineta

needs several restraining orders filed against him, but wouldn’t actually kill someone.

Momo

well one time she did explode a grenade in Aizawa’s face. but no.

Awase

now we have come to the 1-B kids. I will give brief descriptions in case you, like me, sometimes have trouble remembering their names. so, Awase! the welding, Momo-rescuing one. he is not murdery.

Sen

the rotating limbs one. one of the least murdery kids in the fairly murderous 1-B on account of his quirk is just too ridiculous. sorry Sen.

Kuroiro

the Tokoyami one. more likely to bore you to tears talking about death than actually kill someone. which is too bad because he honestly would make a pretty bitching assassin.

Kendou

would say she’s probably in the top fifteen. god I love her quirk so much. just want her to slap some bitches to death. but she probably wouldn’t.

Shishida

the growly monster one. he does get some bonus points for tending to lose control once he goes full beastmode and werewolfs out. and he is fairly deadly.

Shouda

the roly poly double smashy one. it’s actually only a matter of time before Shouda kills someone, most likely. his quirk is way too dangerous, and the thing is, it’s probably hard for him to tell how dangerous a particular impact is going to be beforehand. one of these days it’s gonna be way stronger than he intends and somebody’s neck is gonna get snapped.

Pony

never forget that time Pony stabbed Ojiro and Shouji like a dozen times and everybody was just cool with it.

Tsuburaba

the air platform one. he did try to suffocate Kouda that one time.

Tetsutetsu

only if he’s fighting Shouto. or teamed up with Shouto. then all bets are off as to whether or not he’s going to drill his superheated steel fist right through somebody’s face.

Tokage

the severed limbs one. she just has kind of a murdery vibe to her. stalking everyone with her various body parts. yuuugh. I bet if she did kill someone nobody would ever be able to prove it was her.

Manga

the speech bubble head one. is going to destroy so much public and private property once he’s set loose on the streets. but no deaths.

Bondo

the glue one. and nah, Bondo is cool.

Koudai

the Ant-Man one. doesn’t strike me as particularly murderous, I even went and reread her part of the joint training arc to confirm it. she’s fine.

Rin

the kung fu dragon one. not especially murdery. overall probably one of the least bloodthirsty in class 1-B in fact.

Shiozaki

the vines one. she’s extremely murdery. I can’t be the only one who thinks that, can I? Shiozaki scares the shit out of me. if I were Kaminari I would have nightmares about her.

Monoma

would murder every single member of class 1-A if he could. would be the criminal in a Detective Conan two-parter. would give a long monologue about always being the side character and never in the starring role until one day he finally couldn’t take it anymore and snapped. why does his hero costume make it look as though he’s going to steal a bunch of famous jewels out from under everyone’s noses. nah but I’m just kidding and Monoma would never actually kill someone. but one day he’s probably going to be framed for murder by a villain and Kendou and Shinsou will have to team up to defend him and catch the real culprit.

10. Yanagi

the creepy pale ghost-girl-looking one. contrary to what you are probably all thinking, her high ranking isn’t just because of her general horror film vibe, but also because she attempted to bludgeon Mina to death during the joint battle arc. but also yes it is because of her general horror film vibe.

9. Kamakiri

the stabby one. he’s up here because I’m pretty sure he tried to kill Jirou that one time. like what was he even gonna do if Bakugou hadn’t stepped in. though to be fair I don’t think he actually had his knives out at the time so maybe he was just gonna elbow her in the face or something idk.

8. Bakugou

I agree with you that Bakugou is much more bark than bite, anon. and not only is he remarkably careful and precise with his quirk and good at avoiding any collateral damage (and even better IMO ever since his supplementary training), I think that due to his various struggles with being perceived as a villain and also trying to find his own understanding of what being a hero means, he’s probably more self-aware than most of the other kids at this point when it comes to matters of “is this morally okay.” so in spite of his generally violent demeanor, I very much doubt he ever would or could actually kill someone. but he’s in the top ten because his high shounen protagonist levels do place him in the “would potentially go apeshit if and when something happened to someone he cares about” category, though. and also because he and Deku did basically attempt to disintegrate Nine, and then when Nine just dropped off the face of the earth afterwards, no one even bothered to wonder what had happened to him. which leads me to wonder if Deku and Katsuki straight up assume they did in fact kill him and just dgaf.

7. Deku

see above re: Nine. and also he may have to kill AFO one day. so while he probably wouldn’t be happy about it, I think he could still potentially do it. and also because he absolutely does lose his gotdamn mind every time someone hurts one of his friends, and especially Kacchan, and I could picture him just snapping if something really awful ever actually did happen. I don’t think it would in canon because it’s just way too dark, but I don’t think it’d be out of character if he did.

6. Iida

literally tracked down the villain who attacked his brother with the full intent of personally killing said villain once he got his hands on him. true, Shouto and Deku talked him out of it in the end, but still. that was some real motherfucking killing intent. also I will never forget the image of this kid sitting his ass down in middle of the woods and mutilating his own goddamn body without any anesthesia. listen, everyone. just please, for your own safety, do not fuck with Iida.

5. Shouto

and now we reach the top five. listen, feel free to disagree, but I stand firm in my belief that out of all the non-traitor and non-demon-possessed children in class 1-A, Todoroki Shouto is absolutely the most likely to straight up just kill a bitch one day. this boy froze a man from the inside out until a tower of fucking ice was jutting out of his fucking throat, and was all “go ahead and hibernate for a while” like excuse me, THE FUCK. and the thing is, this wasn’t just a one-time occurrence either; he literally pulls this kind of shit ALL THE TIME. froze an entire fucking building with his classmates in it and was all “feel free to bring it on but fighting without the soles of your feet will be painful.” heh. what the fuck. and do you all remember when he fought Sero and was in a bad mood so he iced half the fucking stadium. nearly killed a few people right then and there. “I got carried away.” whaaaaaaat. and I could go on and on; he nearly burned poor Shindou alive, and basically the entirety of chapter 205 could have been submitted as evidence in a court of law had that training battle against Tetsutetsu gone only slightly differently. basically Shouto is an entirely too realistic portrayal of a very sweet but marginally unstable boy with a completely broken power and a shitload of unresolved personal trauma which he is still working through.

4. Honenuki

somehow more murdery than Todoroki “HIBERNATE!!” Shouto. this is entirely because of chapter 205, formerly the most murdery chapter of the entire series, and dethroned only by the recent chapter 266 for obvious reasons. anyway so during the joint training battle, Honenuki bludgeoned Todoroki in the back of the head and would probably have let his unconscious body slump into the softened ground to drown had Iida not saved him. he then proceeded to drop a water tower on top of the both of them. a whole-ass water tower. this was a fucking training exercise. and Honenuki was the only one who kept his calm throughout the entirely of said exercise. and he was praised for his calm murdering skills afterward. because he was fucking awesome tbh. anyway but the point is this is supposed to be a hero school not an assassin school but I’m not really sure anymore you guys.

3. Tokoyami

my man would have straight up killed Moonfish in that forest and sure did try his best. he’s got the same issue as Todoroki in that his quirk is as powerful as it is unstable. and while he himself is not murdery, when Dark Shadow loses control, though… hooooh boy. I was gonna add something about him also interning under Takami “literally stabbed my friend in the neck for the greater good” Keigo, but I think that makes them both come off as more sinister than they actually are. I do think a big part of Tokoyami’s story is him overcoming his inner darkness and wresting control of it and mastering it, so I don’t think it’s very likely that he actually will kill someone in the story. but he’s got a murdery side, no two ways about it.

2. Toadette

straight up filled Tokoyami’s windpipe with mushrooms during a training exercise. he uses that to breathe, fyi. she then offered him a lozenge afterward. do not fuck with Toadette. do not. just don’t.

1. Hagakure

last but not least! Hagakure “hasn’t killed anyone officially but is also definitely the traitor” Tooru! y’all know how it is! I’m committed to this theory! I’d even be willing to put money on a reveal scene where she does just straight up kill someone, and that’s our cliffhanger establishing that the traitor is none other than! and this is coming up sooner than you might think too, guys. Horikoshi brought up the traitor again relatively recently during the Christmas Eve chapter, and that kind of foreshadowing isn’t for nothing. anyways I’m here for it though so bring on that body count you funky little turncoat.

💊 : this is an interesting one! if i’m being honest, i wish i’d known a lot of things when i was younger. i wish i’d known that writing horror didn’t make you inherently evil or weird as certain kids led me to believe. i wish i’d known that there was never an obligation to share any of my writing with anyone, since i always felt so pressured to do so. but most of all, i wish that someone had told me that feeling insecure about my work was okay. i’m absolutely horrible at taking compliments when it comes to anything, but even more so when it comes to my writing because that’s the one place where everyone’s reactions are so huge and intense and they practically refuse to let me say anything bad about my work. it always bothered me because i always knew i had weak points in my work, and i always had things that i had to work through, and i welcomed (and still welcome!) criticism because it’s how you grow. it’s how you learn to not make the same mistakes and improve upon your work. none of this is to say i don’t appreciate compliments because i absolutely do! i just wish someone had told me, instead of aggressively reassuring me that i was worrying too much, that being insecure was okay and that i wasn’t being overly modest or anything because of it.

🎀 : my personal favorite? blindsided. i think i wrote it when i really needed something out there kind of in defense of norman? because, at the time, all that everyone was saying about his actions were that they were completely wrong and he was evil and that they hated him and who he’d become which... broke my heart. because i could understand where he was coming from. i knew the pain he was going through, what was guiding his actions, and i wanted to show everyone hey! he’s suffering! this is what’s going on in his mind! and i wanted to give him a break. i wanted him to not have to go to the capital but i knew it’d have to be something really important to him that would stop him, and i thought that hurting emma... it’d be something he’d never forgive himself for. and he would always give into her, especially if she was hurting. so that’s why blindsided will be my favorite story because, as short as it is, it was something i needed to write.

😢 : fun fact: i actually cry a lot when i’m writing my fics. nine times out of ten i’ll be bawling my eyes out over the scenes i’m working on, but this one... this part of a thief of hearts hurt me so much. and this particular line just shattered my heart into so many pieces because norman? actually feeling love for the first time after all of the hell he’s been through? yeah that breaks my heart.

I really am. there’s not a day that goes by I’m not frustrated with what we got after ten years and 22 movies. however, I thought to myself what would it give me to cling on to this on my blog. would it change anything? I do know I’m not alone. I see so many people agreeing with this anger and it gives me some sort of peace. at the end of the day, though, it’s also important to see what it gives to you. (4/?)

talking to one of my closest friends about it and voicing my frustration with the end helps me more than keep posting about it. because in the end it won’t change a thing. the longer I surround myself with the frustration and anger and everything that comes with this not being what I had hoped for the more it pushes me from the fandom. of course everyone do as they please and I get people who want to get it out of their system. I really like your blog and you as a person and I’d hate to see one of my fave people on this site to leave (I lost count, but this is the last)

whew! hi right back, that was quite something. 

i feel ive answered this ask before, was that also you?

i mean, yeah. i know im not alone, i do. i see some of it on my dash, but not a lot, since ive had to block every marvel related tag just to keep from indulging in some light murder (just gentle ones, not to worry), and i really cannot fathom why ppl on the other side of the isle can’t do the same? or if you’re getting tired of the negativity? blacklist. or unfollow, block even. 

as ive said a few times lately, ive been here 6 years. and this is the first time ive aired my frustration in any noticeable way. sure there’s been a few occasions where i got the salt shaker out, but that was in relation to much more limited subjects, and it was a post or two at the most. 

ive been frustrated with previous movies too, but ive kept my trap shut, ive just gone on, kept my queue stocked, giffed the rare set and hid behind pretty solid content, no drama, not personality, no engagement. 

and it’s not too bad, to just be anonymous, to look at the pretty, spread the pretty, do the occasional tag rant, and let that be it. 

but.

when i came back after a long hiatus last autumn i started writing again. i posted a psa where i apologised for the fact that i would reblog my writing on this blog, i informed what tags i was gonna use, and for the first time i actually checked my follower count before and after. i lost 20 followers the first day. for posting writing. my writing. that was tagged to a ridiculous degree. and i saw a fair few more disappear before the exodus, and idk. i made me realise a thing or two.

one, people like my blog and the content i post

two, they’re only here for that content

three, to have a strictly themed blog will limit you horribly

four, my followers in general don’t give a shit about me, only about the content i post, which fair enough

five, i care about that, even if i don’t care about the follower count as such, i do care that the ones i have actually like me

six, which is completely absurd bc none of them knows me at all, i never show myself

but that was then. this is now. and the last weeks has made me realise the most important thing of all, i dont care any more. why the fuck should i? when my showing any kind of negativity about something that i did care a whole lot about but i no longer have?

endgame might have killed all my enthusiasm for the mcu, and it fucking hurts. it’s been a staple in my life for years, ive invested my time, my creativity, my love and my goddamn money, and ive got jack shit to show for it. i have a blog that i used to love, but is becoming alien to me, and that hurts too. ive invested a lot in this blog too, after i deleted a few of my other blogs a couple of years back, this is by far my biggest one. and im torn tbh. 

do i want to leave it? no, i don’t. can i go back? honestly? i doubt it. if my love for the mcu is gone, well so is bucky. and lets be real, a sebastian stan blog with no bucky? i cannot really see it, can you?

but hey. ill make you a deal, all of you. ill ease up on the memes, i won’t stop bc i have a few scheduled, you guys blacklist or unfollow if you dont want to see them, and ill see about sprinkling in some sebastian content if i can find any i deem worth it. 

also i don’t have any close irl friends to air my frustrations with, everyone here loved this crap, and that’s not really the discourse im looking for. but im happy for you, it sounds nice :)

eta2: also? the fact that i, or we, are complaining and being pissed at the movie, but the opposition are attacking us for doing that? instead of, again, fucking blacklist and leave us the fuck alone? yeah, doesn’t help with the bitter. if y’all are so threatened by our arguments, maybe you should reevaluate your own, seems you’re trying a bit too hard there. i don’t want to take enjoyment from anyone, i envy you too much for that, but ffs, just leave me the fuck alone to deal with it. (that’s not @ you, that’s to them)
