it's been months that have bled to about a year that you've broken up with each other just because you weren't able to make time for each other in your busy schedules.

today is a day you both have had been spending for 19 years ever since you were little kids and suddenly you both are just simply ignoring each other.

you missed everything about your relationship. the late-night drives. the studio dates (with the members 'accidentally' crashing them). the intimacy in the relationship. the cuddles. the kisses. and most importantly, him.

maybe you weren't going to be his in this life.

your friend, nayeon - who you met after breaking up with your ex - wanted you to loosen up a bit and brought you to a birthday party that was being held in a mansion kinda house. it was a party mansion mainly for idols and their closest friends whom they know won't snitch about anything.

you didn't really pay too much attention to that since you thought you were going to celebrate kihyun's or chenle's birthday. but what you didn't think was meeting someone who would open your half-healed heart once more to vulnerability.

you saw a small man (deffo taller than you) with a black blob of hair and a big smile on his face talking to his friends. at that moment you thought that maybe you should've ditched the party when you had the chance to do so.

'uh nayeon babe?'

'yea hun, what's up? something happened?'

'i'm going to the washroom'

when you came back to the party you saw soonyoung and seungkwan giving you dirty looks when you went past them to the other side of the room to nayeon.

and of course, your luck was bad to even bump into mingyu and him when you were taking a drink from one of people who walk around with drinks.

you spilled the drink on the floor thankfully not on yourself, him or mingyu.

'sorry, i wasn't looking to where i was going' you stuttered out something while looking down on the floor. 'i'll uh go get something to clean the mess.'

'it's fine' 'oh you sure damn will'

you gulped down some tears (yes typical yn getting all sad) 'i'll uh leave if i'm really bothering you'

'please do so, i can't see you here for another minute' mingyu said. 'also why are you here? i don't remember you being invited to the party'

'mingyu-ya stop it please'

'why are you so pressed about this huh? i just saw you other two friends glaring at me too.'

you saw him flinching slightly at your cold tone and how to called your two (ex) bestfriends as their friends and not yours.

'wasn't it him who broke up with me?' you asked teary eyed. 'i didn't think i'd see the day where i would get busted in a party and that too in my ex's birthday party.' you said laughing bitterly.

'i'm going back to the person who brought me as their plus one and we are leaving this instant.' after a pause, 'thank you for that small talk kim mingyu. i realized that i shouldn't have wasted my tears for the last year on a man who just left me without a single word.'

they knew they fucked up bad when the two boys saw you going back to nayeon and her group of friends (twice).
