Hi! In a few of your posts I've noticed you mentioned your sylvari have kids/parents are these adoptive ties or did you come up with a noncanon way sylvari reproduce? Im curious, love your ocs BTW very pretty designs! :)

hello!! the way my characters work, it’s still technically just adoptive ties! Some cases are “we met in the Dream and I just woke up a long time before you did,” and others are totally outside the Dream, just “I like you, you’re my kid now.”

For example; Lynessa and her siblings are all a case of getting along really well in the Dream, and deciding to carry those bonds outside of it, too. Conversely, Lynessa purposely adopted Vanora and Zayvis, who didn’t know each other (or her) from the Dream at all. She just decided “oh, I like you, you have potential,” and took them under her wing!

The first take is very fun imo, because I like to think that some don’t meet in the Dream but still have that connection. So, when they meet outside of it, they just kinda know. Like, “I don’t know you, but I know you’re really important to me.” And sometimes that ends in family, sometimes friends, and sometimes lovers! Bonus points if it ends up enemies though lmao
